Chapter 6: Trip to London
Back in New York City, it was now night time.
In the Hampton Inn, Logan was busy looking at the blood fused with the mutagen from a microscope. He had to admit, this was definitely strange even after the first two events his friends and family had to deal with, but this was definitely new.
As he was looking through the microscope, his friends came in to join him.
"You got anything at all, Logan?" Ashleigh asked as Logan turned to them.
"Well, this is something I never thought we were about to deal with." Logan responded as he looked through the microscope. "It looks like this mutagen is really fused with some sort of dinosaur DNA. But I'm not sure what kind though."
"Wait!" Dylan interrupted. "You mean we're dealing with a dinosaur discovery? That's ridiculous!"
"That may be true, but this looks real to me." Logan said as he placed the mutagen back into the vile and put a cork on the top from this morning. "Looks like we're gonna need to investigate this crisis with the help of other people."
Then there was a knock on the door and Nick came in as he said to them. "Hey guys."
The four students turned to him as he said. "The police are here. They say they want to speak to you."

Eventually, Logan and the rest of Succeed came into the lobby whereas the policemen were waiting for them.
"Thank you all for coming." The Chief addressed everyone. "I assume you are all here for the reason you came."
"Yeah, some people are saying that the dinosaurs somehow made a comeback." A police woman said. "That sounds ridiculous."
"Not by our guests' calculations." The Chief said as he introduced Logan and his team to the police. "Everyone, I have invited the Anti-Mutagen Team to this investigation."
Then he turned to Logan and extended his hand for a handshake. "Mr. Johnson, I'm Chief Lennox of the New York City Police Department. Glad to have you and your team on board."
Logan accepted the handshake. "Happy to meet you too. How do you know us?"
"Chief Micheal Harding of Burlington informed us of you and your team's recent events from the past two years." Lennox explained.
He then brought out a file of the pictures Logan and his team encountered the mutagen crisis. "We've been hearing about you and your first encounter at the TGRI building in Maine where you encountered Dr. Angus Oldfield and his mutant sheep army. Especially your second encounter with Dr. Jessie Arach Parker with her spider pets."
"Yeah, and all of these guys we've dealt with in the past are basically from the mutagen my family and me first encountered in Maine." Logan responded recalling the time he took on Angus Oldfield. "TGRI was blown to the ground after I killed Angus Oldfield when he got mutated into a mutant sheep."
"Well, TGRI isn't down quite yet." Lennox said with bad news.
"What are you talking about?" Ashleigh asked in confusion.
One of the policemen came over and said. "We've discovered another TGRI building on Ash Island in London. We think that the creature from last night went there. Strangely the people say that it somehow looked like that of a dinosaur."
"A second TGRI building located on Ash Island?" Logan asked in surprise.
"We've been monitoring that location on camera from other local authorities and discovered something." A police woman said as she projected a screen from a projector which showed an image of Helen Cutter. "This is the woman responsible for the destruction the creature caused, Helen Cutter. A former brilliant Paleontologist turned Eco Terrorist. She was a genius of studying dinosaurs at a local science industry in London until she was kicked out due to her believing that she would open a portal to the prehistoric times."
Dylan scoffed. "That is one messed up chick."
Logan elbowed him lightly to be quiet as Lennox finished. "She's not alone, We think she may also have had help creating that monster the other night as well. She calls it, the Indominus Rex."
"The Indominus Rex?" The four students choursed.
"Ugh, that is so terrible." One of the police men groaned.
Logan then thought of something. "So what exactly is this thing made of?"
"Well, from what we've gathered from her data is that she somehow made it from the base genome of a T-rex, but the rest is classified." Lennox explained.
"So what exactly has this got to do with us?" Betty asked.
Lennox turned to them and said. "We want you to join us to find Helen and bring her to justice."
"Wait, wait!" Dylan suddenly said. "Are you saying you want us to help you with this case? Haven't you forgotten that thing could be out there, maybe trying to hunt down humans?!"
That's when a woman's voice was heard from behind the four Succeed students. "That's where you come on, sir."
The four turned around to see an adult woman in her mid forties with a dark navy blue colored buttoned up shirt and black shoes. Behind her were some of the other police officers.
Lennox smiled. "Ah, Rebecca Vincent. Lovely to see you again."
"Same to you, Lennox." Rebecca responded back with a smile of her own.
Logan looked at them one another before saying. "You two know each other?"
"Rebecca and I are old friends. We went to law school together." Lennox explained.
Rebecca then turned her attention to Logan and walked over to him. "Logan Johnson." She addressed as she held her hand out for a hand shake.
Logan accepted it and shook her hand with his.
"Glad to meet you and your team face to face. I'm Police Chief Rebecca Vincent. Second in command of Lennox's team of the New York City Police Department." Rebecca introduced herself to him.
"Nice to meet you." Logan said before he introduced his team to her. "This is my team. This Ashleigh, Betty, and Dylan."
Rebecca nodded. "I've heard about you as well as your family about your other encounters with the mutagen situation you've been dealing with over the past two years."
"Then you know about my brother and two cousins, right?" Logan inquired.
"Yes, Riley Johnson, Terran and Ambrea Momaney." Lennox said as he approached him.
Ashleigh decided to ask. "Wait, there's just one thing on my mind. How did you guys figure the Indominus' identity?"
"We had a few scientists discover it from Helen's research files and she created it a few nights ago." Rebecca explained to her.
"And if she knows we'll be coming to her and her agents, she'll stop at nothing to wipe us out." Lennox said with a stern look. "That's why we need your help to stop this madness. You and your team have dealt with this before and we need your expertise."
Logan looked at him for a moment as Rebecca. "Please, Logan. We need you and the rest of your team to help us find a way to stop this madness before it's too late."
Seeing how all of the police looked at him with trust and hope, Logan looked down for a few moments.
Then he turned to his teammates with a smirk. "You might wanna pack your bags, guys. Looks like we're going to London."
"So you'll help?" Rebecca asked with a hopeful smile.
Logan turned to her with a smirk. "You can count us, Chief Vincent."
"Good." Lennox said before addressing every police in the lobby. "Alright, gather up all of your equipment. We're heading to London in thirty minutes. Come on, people, let's go!"
The rest of the police got up and went to gather up what they can to get ready for their trip as Logan and his team smirked with each other.
"Alright, just to be on the safe side, we'd better call in a few more reinforcements." Logan said as he dialed his phone.
(Scene changes)
A few moments later, everyone was at the LaGuardia Airport as the police were putting every gun in a big plan for them to bring to London.
Logan and his friends, as well as staff, were waiting for a few more acquaintances to show up.
Suddenly a car's honking sound was heard and they turned to see a jeep driving in a parking space.
Coming out of the car was Logan's older brother Riley. His cousins Terran and Ambrea.
Riley now had grown a short beard on his face, while wearing a white t-shirt, khaki shorts, and a green backpack.
Terran was wearing a blue t-shirt with black khaki shorts, a wristband on his left hand, and a blue bandana around his head and he had a blue backpack
Ambrea was also wearing a pink t-shirt, white shorts, and had her hair in a ponytail style as well as a pink backpack as well.
They approach Logan and smile.
"Hey, Logan. Missed us?" Riley joked with a smile he sent to his brother as he smiled back.
"Well, you guys are right on time." Logan told them with a smile. "I was glad to hear that you guys were staying with Grammy for a while when I called you. I thought you might miss out on this."
Terran chuckled. "Come on, buddy. We wouldn't want to miss out on this."
Ambrea came over to Logan with a serious look on her face after she smiled at him. "We heard about what happened at the Museum of Natural History. Are you serious that we're dealing with a dinosaur?"
"Yup, which means we're about to go primeval on this. Come on, we better get moving." Logan said as he led his entire team to the plan.
Then Nick and Liz came over to them. "Hey guys." Liz called out as they turned to them.
"Be careful out there. We don't know what will happen if your parents find out." Nick pleaded.
"Don't worry, guys." Logan assured the staff. "We can do this."
The two smiled at them before Liz said. "Good luck out there."
"You know we will." Betty said as the seven went inside the plan.
Logan and his team got to a personal private room for themselves, courtesy of Lennox and placed their bags down.
Then the plane took off as Nick and Liz watched from a distance.
In the plane, however, no one seemed to notice that someone had snuck in and hid in the shadows.
