Chapter 7: Stowaway and Arrival
High up in the air, the plane continued to fly to London as it passed by some clouds in the sky.
In their private room, Logan and his team were discussing his family's lives.
"So, what have guys been doing?" Logan asked them.
"Well, my job has been going great. I even got signed up to a martial arts group as well." Riley said with a smile.
"Wow, that's great!" Logan said with a smile. "And what about you guys?"
Terran smirked. "Well, I've been busy helping Dad out with the painting and Ambrea says that she's been running an animal shelter somewhere in Colorado."
"Really? So how's that going?" Logan asked her.
"Oh, it's been great. We just got a few new arrivals and they're settling in nicely." Ambrea replied.
"What have you guys been up to?" Riley asked.
"Well, Patton, Devon, and Ben decided to go on with their normal lives as they felt they needed to have some peace and quiet for themselves. We decided to keep up on our jobs." Logan answered his brother. "I was surprised you guys were staying to help out with Grammy. That is until I called you guys to help us out."
"Yeah, but we couldn't let you have all the fun with your friends. We want a piece of the action now." Terran assured his cousin.
"I still can't believe that this time we're getting help from the police." Ashleigh commented with a surprised look.
Dylan added. "Yeah, I guess Micheal must've been having a connection with Lennox and Rebecca. I'm surprised they know our secret, aside from the people of our country."
"Well, who knows what else is coming our way. What do you suppose is gonna come at us now?" Betty asked.
Then there was a knocking on the door. They turned to it as Lennox opened up.
"Hey guys, we got a stowaway." He calls them urgently.
"Huh?" The seven asked in usion.
(Scene changes)
They arrived just in time to see a group of the police surrounding something.
"Wait, you don't understand! I'm not here to spy, I'm here to help." A female's voice was heard.
Logan and his team pushed past the cops to see who that voice was, only to their shock they saw Maggie Banes on her knees and her hands cuffed behind her back. Riley, Terran and Ambrea were confused about her.
"Who's that?" Terran asked in confusion.
"Maggie?" Logan asked in surprise just as his friends were. "Maggie, what are you doing here?!"
"Sorry, Logan. I just figured since you and your team were heading to London to take out this deranged scientist, you could use some help finding her." Maggie answered sheepishly.
Rebecca came over to Logan as she asked. "You know this girl?"
"Yeah, we met her at the museum before the Indominus attacked it." Logan answered. He then turned to the cops and said. "It's okay, guys. Just let her up. I'll take care of this."
The police hesitated for a moment before they unhandcuffed Maggie as she clutched her hand in pain.
"Maggie, how do you know who we are?" Ashleigh asked in confusion.
"Well, I saw you guys fighting off mutant spiders in Burlington last year." Maggie explained the backstory of Logan and his team fighting off Jessie Arach Parker's henchmen. "I was doing a little investigation when you guys showed up and took down Jessie Arach Parker and her mutant spider. I gotta tell I'm such a huge fan of you guys." She added with a smile.
Logan and his whole team were stunned before he facepalmed himself. "Well I guess Micheal didn't exactly cover up most of our secrets."
Then he turned to Maggie. "Look, Maggie. We're flattered you appreciate what we've been doing, but you can't come with us. This authorized personnel only."
"But I can help you guys." Maggie said. "I've taken a few judo classes before. I can be a new member of your team, please?"
Logan looked at his team and then at the police. This made him a little unsure about this until Lennox came to him.
"You should put her on the team. She does have a good point." He encouraged the leader of the Anti-Mutagen Team.
Soon, Logan sighed before he turned to Maggie. "Alright, you join us." He was then taken by surprise when Maggie hugged him tightly.
"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Maggie said happily as Logan did admire her enthusiasm a bit.
That's when Logan realized it was a little awkward. "Okay, Maggie. You can let go now."
Maggie saw it and released him. "Sorry."
"Chief Lennox." A man's voice was heard on Lennox's walkie talkie. "We should be arriving in London, approximately fifty five minutes."
"Copy that." Lennox responded back through the walkie talkie before he put it away and said to the others. "Alright, guys. Better head back to your seats."
"Yes, sir." The seven choursed.
So Logan and his team, along with the new recruit Maggie Banes, went back to their private room.
(Scene changes)
In the air, the plane continues to fly through the clouds as Logan looks out into the open sea through a window he sat at.
Then he saw a city view of London as he said to his team. "Hey guys, I think we're here."
Ashleigh, Betty, Dylan, and Terran, looked through the windows to see the view. Logan was indeed right, they were there.
"He's right. We're here!" Terran said with excitement.
Then Rebecca came in with a smile and said to them. "Okay, guys. Better grab your things, we should be landing at a military compound shortly."
Logan grabbed his things when he felt someone nudge his shoulder. He turned to see Ashleigh smirking at him.
"Smooth move bringing your girlfriend on our team." She teased.
Logan felt flabbergasted as his cheeks blushed before he recomposed himself as he glared at her. "She's not my girlfriend."
"Come on, guys. Let's go!" Betty said as she and the rest of the team went out of their private room.
Moments later, the plane landed on a runway as it slowed itself down before coming to a stop.
Lennox, Rebbeca, and the entire police crew came out first. Then Logan came out with his team right behind him.
Once their feet touched the ground, they gazed at the military compound in awe and amazement. It even had a lookout post with some military cops on top with guns in their hands.
The seven followed Lennox, Rebbeca, and their policemen inside the compound.
Once they were inside, Logan and his team were amazed by what they saw: Inside the compound were science labs of different stereotypes, a training room, a weapons room, as well as a cafeteria.
They continued to follow Lennox as Logan said to him with an impressed smile. "Wow, you guys sure are taking the threat we're about to face very seriously."
"We have our ways, buddy." Lennox responded back to Logan before giving a tour for the team by showing the places they were just looking at. "Alright, so this is where we hold the science labs on the first floor, we keep a training room on the second floor with the weapons room, over here is a small cafeteria for us to have our break time." Then he led them up to the second floor and came to a door. "And this is your headquarters to stay in."
He opens the door to allow Logan and his team to enter and gain surprised looks on their faces.
Their new fancy headquarters was large, with separate bedroom doors on each floor of the room, a kitchen on the ground, a big flat screen tv with gaming systems, a research room, and nice furniture to sit on.
Logan and his team gazed at the room with amazed looks as Lennox smiled. "So what do you guys think?"
Ashleigh smiled and replied back to him. "This'll work."
Lennox chuckled before he said seriously. "Alright, place your bags down in your rooms, Rebecca needs us in the meeting room in five minutes."
He then left the room as Logan and his team placed their belongings in their separate bedrooms.
(Scene changes)
Logan and his team came to join the police on the first floor as Lennox, Rebecca, and the rest of the military police as well as the New York City Police Department were at a huge gathering.
"Thank you all for making it here to discuss the threat that has plagued London." Rebecca addressed everyone before introducing Logan and his team. "But first I would like to introduce the Anti-Mutagen Team to you all led by Logan Johnson as their leader, with his family, Riley Johnson, Terran and Ambrea Momaney. As well as the additional four members. The three students from The Succeed Program, Ashleigh Coda, Betty Snide, and Dylan Blanchard. We even have an extended member of their team, Maddie Banes."
Logan and his team smiled in reply as the policemen clapped in response to Rebecca's introduction.
Then the aplaus died down as Logan asked. "So what's the situation about this Primeval era we're about to deal with?"
Rebecca snapped her fingers to a computer expert to show a video on the big screen.
The lights died down as the screen showed the recent attack at the TGRI building and the seven dinosaurs disappearing into the night without being seen. Logan and his team couldn't believe it: the dinosaurs have made a comeback.
"We found a video recording of last night's attack on Ash Island from the TGRI incident." The specialist explains. "So far the dinosaurs have been kept out of sight, but there have been reports of some people missing, possibly due to the carnivores devouring them. Helen Cutter has been sending agents by order of their leader Mesogog, a mutant dinosaur human hybrid, who was once an ordinary brilliant human scientist who went by the name of Dr. Henry Hoskins."
The screen showed a video of before Mesogog was reborn, Henry Hoskins was an american human in his late forties in a lab coat and black pants. "He was as brilliant as his student, Helen, and was working on experimenting with dinosaur DNA and converting it with mutagen samples from a canister before an accident had gone horribly wrong when he dropped an explosive chemical and his science room was caught in flames. He was infected with the dinosaur DNA as well as the mutagen."
The screen showed Henry working on dinosaur DNA as well as mutagen as Helen Cutter was helping him out when he dropped an explosive chemical on the ground, resulting in an explosion as his lab was caught on fire as Helen Cutter was flown to the ground unconscious.
"That's gotta hurt." Dylan remarked as he and the rest of the team were shocked to see this.
A few seconds, Henry began to change into the mutant dinosaur now known as Mesogog. He then carried Helen out of the building and disappeared into the night before the screen died down as the lights turned back on.
"But that's not the least of our problems." Rebecca then had bad news on her mind.
Logan and his team turned to her. "What else is there?" He asked.
"We discovered a mobster gang in the Criminal Underworld in the center part of London has taken control of illegal weapons to fight off the dinosaurs that have been rampaging through the streets, led by Salvatore Maggio. He's cruel and merciful to be far more understanding of punishing those who would fail him. In the last few hours of last night's raid, Vinchenzo discovered a Tyrannosaurus, possibly one of the escapees from Mesogog's lab, devouring two of his men." Lennox explained as a picture showed a man in his early fifties was running a mob of gangsters. "We even think he's about to take control of the city if he goes to war with Mesogog. There would be a number of chances that he would murder any team that get invloved in this mess if they stand in his way. And the only thing he has interest in murdering a team…"
"Is us." Logan finished as he got the message clear.
"So how are we gonna stop all of this if there are two problems we have to deal with?" Dylan asked as he wanted to get some answers.
"We've decided to divide into two groups for you guys to take this job for your own hands to maintain." Rebecca responded. "Logan, you will take your family and our best agent Randy to Ash Island to the TGRI building while Maggie will direct the rest of your team with a few of our agents to find Sal at his restaurant hideout called Frenchie Covent Garden." Lennox directed.
Logan listened to it before he said. "Alright, guys. We'd better get started before things get worse."
Everyone nodded as Lennox said. "Alright, people. Move out, we've got a city to protect and a planet to save."
Then everybody got up to collect their things as Logan felt like this is gonna be a new level to start learning and fast.
