Chapter 14: Time To Get Primeval

In the genetics lab in the military compound, the scientists began going through the notes Logan found as well as finding out the structure of the Indominus rex. They even had some paddocks for the dinosaurs they tamed. Logan's team even named their dinosaurs. Rex the Tyrannosaurus, Spiney the Spinosaurus, Zog the Triceratops, Spike the Stegosaurus, Blue the Velociraptor, Carly the Carnotaurus, and Skyler the Pteranodon.

Logan was in the genetic labs with Rebecca and Lennox, explaining everything that he and his family discovered in Mesogog's lab with the reptiles as well as the mutagen before moving to the part of the Time Anomaly machine.

"If Mesogog uses that machine to open bigger portals, this could mean the end of the world." Logan finished his sentence to the two.

Lennox shook his head in disbelief before saying. "Mesogog must be really wacked up with the time periods as well as mutating every human being."

Rebecca then went over to the scientists and asked. "Have you got anything at all?"

"Well, we've gathered enough information and we discovered the description on the indominus. Clearly, it's not exactly a dinosaur. Somehow, Mesogog designed it to hide from advanced military technology. He combined the hybrid with DNA strands of Chameleon, Cuttlefish, and Tree Frogs to adapt her to a tropical climate. That's how she hid herself from escaping the Museum. The Pit Adder snake DNA allows her to sense thermal radiation, as if there are warm blooded beings around the area. She even appears to be highly intelligent compared to that of a Velociraptor." A male scientist named Kendall explains.

"Wait, wait." Logan stopped him. "What about being highly intelligent compared to that of a Velociraptor?"

"Helen added the other classified information." Kendall answered as he looked up on the Indominus rex's structure as it showed she has Raptor DNA in her. "A Raptor is intelligent and because they work together in groups, they communicate with one another to herd the animal into a kill zone."

"Well, if she did get that Raptor to communicate with her, things would've gone wrong." Logan said as he remembers the fight the five carnivores fought the Indominus.

As they began to go through the DNA structure, Dylan and Ashleigh came in with panicked looks.

"Guys, you gotta see this!" Ashleigh said as Logan, Lennox, and Rebecca turned to her before they followed the two outside of the lab.

They arrived outside of the compound where Riley, Terran, Betty, Ambrea, Maggie, and all of the other policemen were looking at something in the distance with shocked looks. They turned to see what they were staring at as there were three giant anomaly portals in the distance. One above the city,

Logan, Rebecca, and Lennox moved a few steps forward as they had never seen the portals this big before. Then they turned to see the Indominus rex roaring out loud as some bellowing was heard.

Suddenly, a huge number of dinosaurs came through the portals of different creature types. The ones on land came on to Ash Island, the winged reptiles flew through the portal before flying in the busy streets, and the marine animals began to swim through the water as a Mosasaurus leaps out of the water and clamps his massive jaws on a seagull as it squawked in pain before dying. Then the giant sea monster lands back into the water as water rained down everywhere.

"Go! GET INSIDE, NOW!" Lennox shouted as they all ran back inside to avoid the attack.

As they made it inside, they immediately slammed the doors tightly and locked them up to avoid any of the dinosaurs rampaging at the compound.

(Scene changes)

Mesogog watched all of the dinosaurs coming through the portal as the Indominus snarled deviously.

"Now for the finishing touch." Mesogog smirked evilly and unleashed a sonic brainwave at all of the dinosaurs.

Soon the prehistoric animals were now under his command as they seize their attack.

"Now is the time, my pets." Mesogog said deviously. "Destroy everything insight! Bring this planet to its knees!"

The Indominus rex roars out loudly as all of the dinosaurs began to rampage under Mesogog and the I. rex's command.

Some campers on a beach were enjoying the fresh air before one of them sees something moving in the water approaching the shore.

Then rising out of the water was a Baryonyx as it unleashed a roar at the campers who screamed in horror as more began to move on land along with Suchomimus, Sarcosuschus, and kaprosuchus.

At the docks some fishermen were fishing until a few pterosaurs came flying down towards them as they noticed. They scrambled before they ran for their lives along with the people eating outside as they got out of their chairs.

But then a few pteranodons swooped down and grabbed some people and dragged them high up as they screamed in fright.

(Scene changes)

On video showing the attack in the city, Logan and the others were watching everything as all of the dinosaurs under Mesogog's command as well as the Indominus'.

"Man, this can't be happening." Ashleigh said in shock as the others shared the same thoughts.

"I just don't get it, how are they behaving like this?" Zach asked in confusion.

"It doesn't add up to anything. It's like they're being random for some reason." One of the female scientists said as she tapped on a calculator.

Logan noticed something on one of the screens as it showed Mesogog using his sonic brain waves hypnotizing the dinosaurs and the Indominus roaring out.

Something about it made him think things through as maybe somehow they are the ones doing this.

Rebecca and Lennox noticed him eyeing the two as Rebecca asked Logan. "Excuse me, Logan. Is there something on your mind?"

"Yeah. I don't think their behavior is being random or erratic." Logan answered as he pointed at the screen that Mesogog and the Indominus rex on it. "It's them. They're the ones doing this."

"What do you mean?" Terran asked his cousin.

Logan turned to them as he explained. "Mesogog is using his psychic powers on them by unleashing these sonic brain waves with the help of the Indominus rex's calls."

Lennox looked confused as he walked to him and asked. "Where are you going with this?"

This made Logan turn to him as he explained more. "As amazing as this sounds, they're moving like a pack. All packs, like from wolves to killer whales as well as Velociraptors and Allosaurs, they all respond directly to an alpha." Then he points to the screen of the Indominus and Mesogog. "And Mesogog and the Indominus rex are the new alphas. All of the other dinosaurs are just doing their bidding, they're an extension of the two."

"Wait, wait." Dylan said to get this through. "You're saying that those two are the new leaders?"

Logan nodded as Riley noticed something else. "Wait, they're not alone. Look."

They turned to see Sal and his gang now turned into dinosaur hybrids like Mesogog as they too began taking people hostage.

"Oh no. Mesogog must've turned Sal and his gang into monsters like him." Ambrea said as she looked at the screen.

Dylan slapped his hands on his legs in frustration. "Well that's just great. We're doomed."

Logan began to think things through carefully as Lennox said. "Alright, people. Gather up everything you can and load up everything."

The police officers complied as they went to gather up everything for the biggest battle they were about to have.

Riley went to his brother as he asked. "How are we gonna take him down if there's no other way?"

"Yeah, I'd say we're basically doomed." Terran agreed as the others joined them.

Logan begins to think things through before he sets his eyes on the screen showing paddocks.

This gave him an idea as he said. "No, we're gonna take Mesogog down with help alright."

"How? He's got an army of dinosaurs under his command." Betty said, confused.

Logan smirked before he walked to the screen as he said. "Not all of them."

(Scene changes)

A few minutes later, Logan was at Jay's paddock by the front gates as the Allosaurus was busy eating on fresh meat.

Logan was just standing at the big gates when he heard footsteps coming to him. He turns to see his family and friends along with Rebecca, Lennox and the rest of the policemen.

"If you're really planning on getting eaten by one of those things out there, I definitely would go with Mosasaurus." Terran said to his cousin with an almost impressed look on his face.

Logan just looked at them bluntly.

Lennox approached him with a firm look as he said. "This has gotta be the most outrageous plan you have ever come up with. But if that's the way you have in mind, then we're in."

Rebecca came to them as she said with a smile. "So what is the plan, Mr. Johnson?"

Logan smirked in response as if he had something in mind.

In Jay's paddock, he continues to eat his food before going over to a small pound to drink up some water.

Suddenly he heard a clanging sound as he lifted his head up and softly growled. The front gates slowly opened as he turned to it with a cocked head.

Then coming into his paddock was Logan as he slowly made his way inside before he saw Jay.

"Hey, buddy." Logan greeted his tamed Allosaurus as he moved slowly to the human.

Jay softly growled a purr as he slowly lowered his head to Logan's level. Then Logan slowly and gently rested his hand on Jay's snout. The male Allosaurus growled softly as he nudged his master a bit.

A few minutes later, Logan backed up slowly as he made his way out of the paddock as Jay followed him outside as the police kept their distance from the dinosaur.

Rebecca saw some of the guards raising their guns as they were about to point at the Allosaurus before she stopped them by saying. "Don't shoot. Hold your fire."

"Stand down." Lennox also ordered them as they all lowered their weapons.

Then Rebecca walked over as Logan and Jay stopped and she asked. "You're sure you and your team can handle this, Logan? There has to be a huge army of those dinosaurs under Mesogog's control."

Logan turned to her as he responded by placing his right hand on Jay's reptilian leg. "These dinosaurs are what we've got, Rebecca. Mesogog doesn't have control over them, because my family and I tamed them. If they can help us win this battle against that reptilian creep, then we can win this once and for all."

"And this is what you got?" Maggie asked him in confusion.

"No. You guys are what I also got." Logan answered her back.

"Aw." Maggie stroked her hair before saying. "I'm with him, who else?!"

Rebecca and Lennox looked at her before turning their attention to Logan as Lennox asked. "So what's the plan, Logan?"

Logan turned to Jay as he smirked before answering. "We ride these guys to Mesogog, save those people, and the rest of the world."

Riley and Terran cheered on before Dylan said. "Whoa, whoa! We need to gear up first, guys! You know, like one of those montages in action movies."

Everyone turned to one another as Logan thought of an idea and smirked. "And if we're going into battle, then we're gonna need something to help us ride on."

(Scene changes)

Lennox opens the doors to reveal weapons of varieties as he and Rebecca grabbed them and placed them on tables as the police armed themselves up. Logan and his team brought out their own weapons and choice of clothing before adding some new ones, courtesy of Maggie who brought in some ninja gear of her martial arts.

Logan and his team now sported their previous clothing from last year's events while Maggie wore a yellow bandana around her head, white cloths around her hands and wore a ying yang necklace around her neck.

"Oh yeah!" Dylan exclaimed.

Then the team each got their own weapons: Logan was equipped with two Katana swords and twin Sais. Riley had two Tanto blades and Kunai. Terran had a bow and arrows as well as a dual sword. Betty had two Tesson fans with her. Ashleigh was equipped with a bo staff. Dylan had two Nunchucks. Ambrea got a Kamayari. Finally, Maggie strapped two blades to her wrist.

Then they made saddles for their dinosaurs.

Logan and his team went out with their dinosaurs following them as they saw the rogue dinosaurs rampaging through town and the waters. He jumps on Jay as his team did the same. Riley rode on Spiney, Terran with Carly, Ambrea with Rex, Maggie with Blue, Dylan with Zog, Betty with Spike, and Ashleigh with Skyler.

"Alright, move out!" Rebecca called out as the police loaded their weapons before climbing into cars and vans.

Logan looks at TGRI with a glare before he says. "Alright, guys. Let's do this!" Jay roars out before running to TGRI followed by the others and their dinosaurs to end the threat once and for all while the rest of the police follow them.
