Chapter 16: Man vs. Prehistory

Jay roars out as he and his dino friends charge straight at the Indominus rex as the hybrid charges back at them before tail swiping them aside to the ground.

On the ground, Riley, Ambrea, Terran, Maggie, Ashleigh, Betty, and Dylan took on the agents.

Riley punched two aside and kicked one to the ground. Terran jumped in the air and landed on a pile of rubble before going on the ground. He then kicked two to the ground.

Ashleigh, Betty, and Maggie worked together and took down five incoming agents that were running right toward them.

(Scene changes)

Watching the monitor, Mesogog sees the war going on outside.

He smirked evilly as he was nearly winning before saying to the scientists.

"Release the mutants." Mesogog ordered.

(Scene changes)

The battle was still raging on as the policemen fired bullets at the agents who used shields to protect themselves from the incoming bullets.

With the others in the battle ground, they fought off the other agents before knocking them to the ground.

They catched their breath as they looked at the fallen agents.

Soon they spotted the gunfire going on with Lennox and his team firing on the agents.

"Come on, we gotta help Lennox!" Riley ordered as they rushed in to help them.

But all of a sudden a loud roar was heard as they turned to the opened gates the Indominus made from earlier.

"I don't like the sound of that." Betty said nervously.

Suddenly, a human hybrid dinosaur jumped from the darkness and landed on the ground in front of the Anti Mutagen Team, making them stagger back.

Then more of the hybrid showed up as the one that landed in front of Logan's team stood up and roared viciously at them.

"I don't like the looks of it either!" Betty shouted as she and the others were horrified by the dinosaur-human hybrids.

"Don't worry, guys. The eight of us can handle this." Riley said, trying to stay strong, as well as forgetting they were one team member short.

"Okay, this might be a bad time to point this out, Riley, but one of the eight of us went in to stop Mesogog." Terran reminded his cousin that Logan went in to stop the threat.

"And right now, I wish it would've been me!" Dylan said fearfully.

"DESTROY THE HUMANS, THEIR ALLIES, AND THEIR DINOSAUR PETS! BRING THEM TO THEIR KNEES!" Mesogog's voice was heard from a megaphone.

The hybrids roared out as they charged straight at the team, who got in the defense and moved out of the way.

Riley charged at two of the mutants and tried to take them down, but they proved to be far more powerful than the previous monsters he and the others faced long ago. He tried to slice them, but their skin was too tough for his blades and was swatted aside.

Ashleigh tried to whack two of them with her bo staff, but one kicked her aside. Betty was tail swiped by one. Dylan got punched to the ground. Maggie was tossed into some crates. Terran and Riley. Finally, Ambrea was kicked by one of them to the ground on her side.

"Man, we're totally losing!" Dylan said with concern.

"Really, I hadn't noticed!" Maggie exclaimed.

"We need more help. We don't stand a chance against them!" Riley shouted.

Then the hybrids were soon closing in on them. The team got up and had their weapons in their hands and were in fighting stances.

But just as one of the mutants could charge at them… gunfire was heard as bullets were shooting at the hybrids as they staggered back while roaring in pain.

Stunned, the seven looked up to see american police helicopters in the air.

Riding in them were armed police officers with rifles and pistols in their hands.

Operating one of them was chief Micheal Harding with a headset he had on his head. He had gotten word of the attacks and figured Logan and his team would need their help as well.

"Okay, boys. Time to storm the party." Micheal ordered his men, who complied.

Riding down to the ground on ziplines, the police joined the 'party' and fired some bullets at the mutants who dodged most of them.

"Micheal!" Dylan shouted with joy.

"And reinforcements!" Ambrea added as well.

Lennox smirked as Micheal came to their aid. Now they were sure to win.

In the air most of them stayed to keep the Anti-Mutagen Team's tamed dinosaurs cover as they fired at the Indominus rex with missiles, mini rockets, and bullets as she roared at them. But Jay and Spiney came in and rammed her to the ground.

Riley then kicked two of the mutants aside. Terran punched one in the face and kicked the other in the chest, which made them fall to the ground.

The Indominus charges at the team's dinosaurs as Jay takes the lead. The Allosaurus rammed into the hybrid, forcing her to take a step back and tail swiped her in the face. The Indominus staggers back a bit before coming face to face with Zog as the Triceratops stabs his horns into her leg, making the dinosaur roar in pain.

Zog releases his horns as Rex and Spiney ran at the Indominus at full force like freight trains, making her fall to the ground.

The mutant hybrid tried to get up, but gunfire was heard as missiles shot right at her as she roared in anger and pain.

Riley had just finished kicking down two mutant human hybrids to the ground before looking at the tower.

"Come on, Log." Riley said, encouraging his little brother. "Find a way to end this."
