Chapter 2: Meeting your Senpais! It's karaoke time!
Scientific Research facility, Ember city
Nowaki was wearing what look to be slim tactical suit that was mostly white with black on the shoulders, elbows, and knees. He was standing in front of a mirror Is with small drones hovering over scanning him as Bronya was typing on her computer.
"How much longer do I have to keep standing like this?" Nowaki asked.
"Just a little longer. Keep still." Bronya said. After they got out of school Bronya wanted Nowaki to come with her to the research facility to test some things Like this elemental suit Nowaki was wearing. She says it's capable of resisting Extreme heat, can change its color, and endurable but also can increase its durability and it's solar powered.
"So how did you make this?" Nowaki asked looking himself in the mirror. He couldn't help but be reminded of a similar suit that he once wore when he was a kid before he was separated from his mother.
"Its made from Nano fiber mesh merged with sunstown. It's similar to the one your mother wore." Bronya Explained.
Nowaki was quiet for a few minutes before speaking. "...Hey Bronya, just how long did you know about my... real background?" Nowaki asked after the aftermath of his mission with naruto saving his orphan siblings Bronya started asking for Nowaki to come to the research facility with her more while completely being aware that he is a steel humanoid which confused him.
"From the beginning. That 1 time when I rented you from Tsunade. Steel humanoids were considered an urban myth. To think there are humans that have the physical and mental capacity of an android and yet stillI flesh and blood is truly fascinating. There's still so much yet to discover." Bronya said.
"Like What?" Nowaki said turning around confused.
"How strong your base strength is, your level of technokineses, and If you have more abilities thanks to your solar manipulation." Bronya Explained.
"You think I may have more abilities related to the sun?" Nowaki asked wondering if it's possible.
"I do." Bronya said finally looking up from her computer and walked over to Nowaki and took his hand leading him out of the lab. Nowaki obviously asked where she was taking him. "We're going to start the physical testing now. I just needed to connect the suit and your vitals to my computer so I can get feedback. Xion should be waiting for us."
"Sometimes I wonder why I let you use me like a Gginea pig? I'm a person too."
"Because you'll be able to keep the suit and you get to blow things up in a simulation room and I help you do your homework and study for your tesses that way your sister doesn't have to hire a tutor." Bronya explained in one sentence while still leading Nowaki.
Soon they made it to a large simulation room where Xion was. She was wearing a similar suit too Nowaki except it was reverse being more black with white pads. Nowaki saw this and couldn't help but blush which Xion noticed and did the same noticing his outfit.
"So what exactly are you having us work on Bronya?" Xion asked.
"I'm testing to see if you two exhibit any other abilities that are related to solar and lunar energy." Bronya Explained while showing 2 holograms of the moon and sun. "Since the moon has a solid surface and affects the ties of the ocean It's possible for you to be able to earth and water band Xion, You already know how to use light energy because the moon reflects light from the sun."
"That's something I never really thought of, being both a water bender and an earth bender?" Xion said thinking. She only ever used her lunar powers for healing and for increasing her sword swings. Recently she was training her lunar powers to unleast sword blast Imbued with lunar energy.
"As for Nowaki you already mastered how to use Your sun manipulation through solar energy blast of heat and light, given your solar beam and punch and solar flare. But there's more to the sun than just heat, It has its own electromagnetic field. So it's possible that you can develop electrical abilitie, what they are we'll need to find out. Also you probably are aware of this your a mune to poison, right?" Bronya asked getting a yes. "It may be because of solar radiation, meaning most toxic radiations don't affect you. Also there's one last thing you both may possess."
"And what's that?" Nowaki and Xion said at the same time.
"You're psychokinesis may actually be Gryokinesis."
"Huh?" Nowaki said confused. "What's that and how is it different from psychokinesis?"
"Gryokinesis means gravity manipulation, It's basically controlling the gravity around a person or object while telekinesis is putting a psychic field around a person or object." Xion answered.
Bronya nodded. "They are both practically the same except Psychokinesis is more precise being able to manipulate the inside not just outside, while Gryokinesis is more powerful being able to affect bigger objects mach easier."
"So one is better for precision and the other is better for power is the gist of it, right?" Nowaki asked getting a nod from Bronya. "So what makes you think we have this Gryokinesis?"
"Because the moon and sun have their own personal gravity. I know you both have more questions but we should really get started while we still have time. I can't keep the simulation room to myself all day." Bronya said as she went over to a control room wanting to get started.
Now by themselves Nowaki and Xion talked to each other.
"So what do you think about these extra powers that Bronya mentioned?" Nowaki ask Xion.
"Not sure, but I am curious and I certainly wouldn't mind having the ability to manipulate water and earth. What about you?" Xion replied and asked. Although she's not so sure about the gravity manipulation considering she hasn't shown any signs of it yet.
"Me? I'm just curious if I can shoot lightning bolts at people!" Nowaki said with stars in his eyes.
"She said you may have electrical magnetic abilities we're not sure if it's lighting base. And honestly I hope it's not, the last thing we need is him shocking people."
Night time, Tonzako town
Sakura, Ino, and Choji along with Kiba, Hinata, and Shino are on their way to the Karaoke bar which wasn't the far. (They are all wearing there shippuden outfits)
"To bad Shikamaru couldn't come, I would have dared him to go up there and sing for us." Kiba said laughing a bit.
"Well he is a prompter for the Chunin Exams so he would be very busy, Besides he would have probably saw this as a drag." Ino said. "Although we could have invited Nowaki and Xion, any possible Naruto too."
"Xion said her and Nowaki were helping Bronya with something that would take awhile with and Naruto said he had something important to do today and wouldn't be able to make it tonight." Sakura said.
"So what do you think these guys will be like?" Choji asked everyone before Looking at Hinata. "Hinata, Neji said you actually know one of them, the one named Menma."
"Yes, Menma is a very positive and friendly person. Before he became a ninja he always visit our clan's house. When he wasn't training with Neji he would play with me and Hanabi, he was like a second big brother in a way. When he left to go to the outpost village in Aselia I really miss seeing him, and so did Neji even though he never admitted it." Hinata said. "And actually Neji said he saw Menma at the 3rd Hokage's funeral, although they didn't really talk or reminiss.
"So he was the positive to Neji's negative." Shino said.
"And When exactly did you start telling jokes Shino." Said someone from behind them that person being Shikamaru.
"Shikamaru? I thought you were too busy to come out with us?" Ino asked.
"Yeah but my dad, Asuma, and Lady Tsunade said I should take this time to enjoy myself. So here I am." Shikamaru said.
They soon made it to the karaoke bar where they saw Tenten and Neji outside. Tenten was the first to notice them. "Hey! Glad you guys made it!"
"Where's Lee?" Kiba asked.
"He came here before us to let everyone know about you guys coming. So right now everyone's inside. Heads up they might have already started without us."
"Alright everyone! We're about to meet our seniors so let's all try to make a good first impression!" Ino exclaimed getting a 'yeah!' from everyone although low one from Shino and Shikamaru.
One they entered they could hear singing from many rooms until they reach the room that was theirs and once they entered they could see Lee singing with Iwabee who was now taller wearing the same long blue sleeless jacket a red bandana head band and a red shirt with blue pants. They were singing surprisingly An American song.
"Shot through the heart! And you're too blame! Darling you give love a bad name!"
(Music playing: You give love a bad name)
As they saw Lee singing Sakura looked around to see four people sitting around.
"I see Lee and Iwabee didn't waste any time." Tenten said with a sweat drop. She then noticed Yakumo who was wearing a red kimono. "Hey Yakumo! It's wonderful to see you again in person!"
"The feeling is mutual Tenten!" Yakumo said getting up to hug Tenten while also taking a moment to look at team 8 for a brief second. "So these are our under classman, huh... mind introducing yourselves."
"My names Sakura Haruno."
"Ino Yamanaka."
"Shikamaru Naru."
"Choji Akamichi."
"Hinata Hyuga."
"Kiba Inuzuka."
"Shino Aburame."
"Well its nice to meet all of you. I'm Yakumo Kurama, the guy up there singing with Lee is Iwabee Yuino. Letting you know now, he can be a bit of a jerk But hes a nice guy underneath all that. If you're wondering where my other teammate is he went to go get drinks." Yakumo said.
They then turn their attention to the 3 people sitting down. Nitora who is now a little bit taller but still pretty short Still has her long hair with a short sleeve yellow shirt that went above her belly butt And overalls with the straps not on her shoulders. "My name is Nitora Take, but most people call me Nito its easy and short but just don't call me short." Nito said giving more of a warning on her last statement.
"Gen Kaisugi, its nice to meet you all." Gen said wearing the standard monk monk uniform from the fire temples. (If You're looking for an example just look it up on the Wiki. Or think of Sora's outfit. Not Kingdom Hearts sora but Naruto sora.)
"Emilio Ishida." Emilio said writing in his book. He's not wearing his uniform but instead wearing a black shirt with matching pants.
"Heads up everyone, Emilio likes to take notes about people." Tenten said to the others. "So how long before Menma comes back? It's definitely not a party without him."
"He's right behind Neji." Emilio said still writing.
"Wait What?" Neji said before getting a neck hug And then put into a headlock courtesy of Menma whose wearing a black shirt with a scarlet red vast and matching scarlet shorts that reached his knees with black long socks and shinobi shoes and on his head was a black straw hat with a red string. He has black short downward hair And had different color eyes, the left one red and the right one blue. (If you all have been dedicated readers you all should know who this is)
"Hey there Neji! It's been way too long! How you've been? Did you miss me? Huh? Did you miss me!?"
"If you let go, I May be able to answer you!" Neji said trying to break loose. Keyword trying.
"Oh alright. Always have to cut greetings short don't you." Menma said pouting while letting go. He then spotted Hinata. "Oh my, Hinata? Look how much you grow?! But anyway come over here and give me a hug Princess!"
Hinata was happy to oblige as she went over to hug him. "It's really great to see you again Menma, me, Henabi, and Neji miss having you around."
"Wait? Neji actually Missed Me?!" Menma said looking at Neji.
"Only a little bit." Neji admitted but not wanting to make a big deal about it.
This made the entire upper classroom team Look at Negi with slide shock.
"Wow! He actually admit it instead of denying it! Maybe the rumors are true and you did lighten up a bit. Its about freaking time!" Iwabee said as the song ended and him coming down the stage with Lee. "By the way where are the last two under classman especially the one that knocks some sense into that over achiever there."
Neji was visibly annoyed with Iwabee's comment. "They aren't coming so this is all the guest." Neji said while also taking note of Sakura's slight depression over that statement.
"Okay then I should introduce myself. I'm Menma Arashi, the Leaf village's former best paper boy." Menma said. "So now that we got introductions out the way, Who's Here Ready To Sing!!!"
The group Of upper classmen and lower classmen began their night of singing.
Tenten, Nito, and Yakumo Song together singing Sky Chord by Shino Tsuji.
Ino and Sakura song a duet together. They song Harmonia by RYTHEM.
Kiba, Choji, and a reluctant Shikamaru song Viva Rock by Orange Range.
Menma went up to sing and tried to invite Neji up to sing with him who refused despite everyone trying to convince him. Hinata decided to go up instead and she and Menma song Energetic by Boa.
Hinata then song by herself doing another boa song Every Heart.
(If Everyone is wondering why I'm not putting in lyrics it's because I don't want to take a chance that I might get get in trouble For showing lyrics. Trying to not get sued or find)
After a good while of singing they all sat down eating while drinking either tea or cold drinks talking about what they've been doing for the past few years. This was the rookie's chance to get to know their seniors.
"So you train in the same temple that Asuma sensei once trained in?" Choji asked Gen.
"Yeah, Him and my teacher are best friends." Gen answered.
"You're Hibachi's Sister?!" Some of them said learning that Nitora was Hibachi's older half sister. Some of them couldn't believe it.
"Yeah I get that a lot. Apparently my brother didn't have a good reputation." Nito said rubbing the back of her head.
"So your doing a video project on the exam and Nowaki is going to help you with it?" Sakura said surprised.
"Yes, so you will most likely be seeing more of me." Emilio said still writing in his book.
"Mind if I ask why you are still writing?" Sakura asked.
"Sorry it's a bad habit of mine. I'm planning to join our country's secret service so I've grown a habit of profiling people on important details. You'll never know when this stuff will come in handy." Emilio explained.
"Oh! Well that makes sense. Still doesn't make him less weird though."
"So Yakumo, Neji said you're good at Genjutsu. You must have had a good teacher." Hinata said.
"Well...I Did have a tutor but we didn't get along and eventually separated. I say my team's official sensei was more of a teacher then she was." Yakumo said. If one paid close attention they would notice that Yakumo gripped her cup hard when mentioning Tutor.
"So I hear you're a pretty strong Earth style user Iwabee. Mind given me some tips sometime in the near future?" Kiba asked seeing an opportunity to advance his earth style training.
"No problem! Come by Leaf town in Aselia and if I'm not too busy I'll help you out." Iwabee replied.
"So this isn't your first time coming back to the leaf village in a while?" Shino asked.
"No. You see I like to make regular reports in person about how things are doing in leaftown. And actually I did try to visit Neji and Hinata but I heard they went on an important mission in the land of frost." Menma said catching Shikamaru's attention.
"Oh you did? Then sorry that we missed you. We were doing an important B rank mission that turned A rank." Hinata said.
They soon told them about their mission in the land of frost that led to the mission in the land of lightning. After finishing the story The two senior teams were silent.
"Wow... That mission sounded Epic!" Iwabee said.
"I kinda wish I was on it. I mean you guys fought cloud ninjas, robbers, and two Strong lightning wilders that were considered goddesses. And even saw A literal goddess fight two tailed beast and Win!" Nito said.
"So what ever happened to those girls?" Emilio asked.
"Who knows? After the fight was over everyone was knocked out and they just left." Kiba said taking a sip of his soda.
Sakura then looked at Menma. "Hey Menma senpai, Hinata told me you were there at the 3rd Hokage's funeral, so were you also there when the village was attacked?"
"Yeah I was there. I wanted to film the finals of the Chunin exam and I managed to get all of the fights and showed tons of the people back in leaftown." Menma answered. A follow up question was when he came back to the Leaf village. "The day before the finals. I didn't really Go out to enjoy the festival, I was busy having a long talk with the 3rd Hokage."
"What did you two talk about?" Sakura asked.
"We talked about a lot of stuff. A lot of it is kinda personal so forgive me when I say I want to keep it to myself." Menma said.
Seeing that this was a bit personal Sakura decided not to pestoring him more about. "Ok so what's it like in Leaftown? Because I haven't heard much about our outpost village in Aselia."
"Its a just a small town that focuses on farming specific resources in Aselia and selling them back to the land of fire. When it was put under development a lot of people from the leaf village and smaller farming villages moved there. There were a few 'problems' here and there when we started working there even went dark for a bit but everything is peaceful now." Yakumo said getting a worried look from Tenten. "Look I mean it everything's OK over there."
"Okay then." Tenten said before looking at her watch. "Oh man! Time really does go by fast when you're having fun, Our time for renting this room is almost up. Anybody have any ideas on what we should do next?"
"We could use the last few minutes of our time to sing a group song!" Menma suggested claiming he has a few songs in mind.
"Yeah we could do that. But how about we have some real fun!" Nito said smirking getting everyone's attention. "How about we take this party outside the city and have ourselves a team sparring match. Upper classmen versus lower classmen."
"Now that does sound fun! Count me in!" Kiba said.
"You know that I'm definitely in! Let's see what your kids are made of!" Iwabee said.
"How very convenient. I'm I'm definitely curious on how capable you guys are, so I have no objections." Emilio said.
"This could make for great training for the combat portion exams." Shino said.
"Well I guess this is the end of karaoke. But next time I'm definitely getting you on stage Neji! Remember that!"
"We'll see about that." Neji said inwardly glad he managed to avoid singing.
"I think I'll sit this one out and probably just act as ref." Said Shikamaru.
"Me too." Yakumo said. "I don't like fighting unnecessary battles."
Outside Tonzako town
The group left the karaoke bar and went to an open field away from the town. "So how are we going to do this?" Ino asked.
Tenten was the one to answer. "Well since you guys pretty much know what we're capable of I think me, Neji, and Lee should stay out of it. So It'll just be you 12."
"So It's team 2 and 5 vs team 8 and 10. Now we just need to decide who fights who." Menma said thinking. "How about we let our underclassmen decide who they want to fight, Is any objections?" None adjected.
Sakura and her class went over And talk to each other to decide how they were going to do this until Sakura got their upper classman's attention. "We've decided. team 8 will fight team 2 while team 10 fights team 5. And every match will last for 10 minutes."
"So it looks like we're first. So who should tart as off?" Gen said to his team.
"I'll go first to give us an early lead." Emilio said walking forward, he reached out his hand and summoned a purple energy Bow. "So who's my opponent?"
"That'll be me!" Kiba said stepping up. "So It looks like you're an archer. Makes me wonder who's the better marksman, You or Tenten." Kiba said getting ready.
"In accuracy I would say she's quite better than me in that regard. As for speed? Well why spoiled the surprise." Emilio said with his bow in his right hand as his body glowed purple with spirit energy. "I don't like to drag out battles too long so I'll end this quickly."
"Will see about that!" Kiba said going in fast. dashing forward he soon saw a purple arrow coming at him fast and quickly had to dodge left as he saw the arrow cut a tree clean in half. "Wow! Now that's fast! How did he-"
"Kiba look out!" Shino called out.
Kiba saw that Emilio was firing another arrow at him that he quickly had to dodge and soon had to dodge 2 more barely missing them as they nearly grazed him. "It's unwise to get easily distracted like that." Emilio explained.
"What the kind of jutsu is that?" Choji asked this being the first time seeing something like this.
"Light bending." Gen said getting everyone's attention. "Emilio is from a clan called the Quincies. They specialize in gathering light particles and manipulating them specifically through archery using spirit bows."
"Manipulating Light particles? I didn't think something like that was even possible." Sakura said completely Flabbergasted. "This Is somewhat similar to how Sasuke tried to use projection bending Except it uses less energy. If we knew someone like this was here he could of helped Sasuke."
Back with the fight Kiba tried in vain to close the gap between him and Emilio but was unable to because his arrows were just too fast. "Darn it! I can't get close! If I had Akumaru with me we could have double teamed him.Why did I have to leave him at home?! Well if I can't get to him forward let's try from below! Tunneling Fang!" Kiba said going underground.
Emilio only stood there silently Until he suddenly disappeared as kiba appeared straight under from where he was, unable to move from high up in the air he was unable to dodge Emilio next shot when he appeared in front of him and the arrow that hit him sent him pummeling to the ground as the purple arrow disappeared.
"Kiba!" Hinata and Shino said running to check on kiba to see if he was all right.
"Relax, none of my shots were lethal so he should be fine." Emilio said walking back to his team.
"I can't believe it! Emilio won so easily that Kiba didn't even get one hit in?!" Ino said almost speechless.
"Its not just the speed and power of his arrows, but his physical speed as well." Shikamaru said observing what he saw before looking at the other seniors wondering what to expect from them.
After a few minutes of letting kiba run is letting kiba rest the next to the fight are Nitora and Shino.
"Just to let you know I'm not going to fight as serious as I usually would considering this is a practice fight." Shino said.
"Good cause I plan to do the same." Nito said taking out her kussarigawa and spinning it. As the match started she threw the sickle at the bug user who jumped right to avoid it but once the sickle hit the ground it began aiming towards him again this time a bit faster.
Using the ground as leverage He quickly jumped out of the way to avoid it only for what happened to happen again and the chain weapon was following him. Shino Try to outrun it until he saw a Large rock in his way and tried to briefly stop so he could change direction only for the sickle that was now faster to almost reach him and transform into what appear to be a net.
The others rookies were worried that he was now caught until the net suddenly dropped to the ground.
Surprised everyone looked over to see Nitora on one knee with some of Shino's bugs on her legs. "Well it looks like this is my loss." Nito said.
"Hey Tenten, what exactly did she do? Her chain and sickle extended and followed Shino. How'd she do that?" Shikamaru asked.
"Its a spirit chain weapon. She's able to extend it and change the sickle Into something different like a ball or a net. As for why it followed Shino, Nito uses spirit energy to retache things off surfaces to follow her targets." Tenten explained.
"Man, Now that sounds troublesome. So what about the last guy, what can he do?" Shikamaru asked seeing Gen and Hinata the last members of their team approach each other and entering their fighting stance.
"Well other than the fact that hes an Airbender nothing else really." Tenten answered.
Once the fight started Hinata and Gen wasted no time fighting up close, Hinata Using the gentle fist while Gen fought with Shalon style Kung Fu. To everyone who knew how strong hinata is they were surprised to see that they were evenly match. After 10 minutes passed the match was considered a draw as hinata walked over to the others.
"Hey Hinata? What happened? I was thinking you were going to win easily but it didn't look like he was affected by the gentle fist at all, I at least thought you would have used your spirit gun!" Kiba asked.
"Well I was holding back so I wasn't using spirit energy in my attacks. Also he was using Chi to strengthen his body so my gentle fist wasn't going to paralyze him that easily." Hinata explained. "Since this was just a practice fight we decided not to take it that seriously. Although I can tell that hes actually very strong."
"Well since each team has 1 win, 1 loss, and 1 draw this match is considered a draw." Shikamaru said Before looking over at Sakura, Ino, and Choji. "You guys are next so I take a few minutes to see who goes first the same for you guys." He said looking at team 5.
As team 5 was discussing who would go first Sakura went over to team guy. "Hey I know this might seem a bit unfair but can you guys tell us anything about team 5 and how they fight? After seeing how strong team 2 is any advantage might help." Sakura asked.
"Well there isn't much we can tell you. I mean it's been years since we've seen them fight." Neji explained.
"You'll Just have to see for yourself although you may have to watch out for Iwabee because he's not good with restraint. I know because I've spared with him many times during our years in the Academy." Lee advised.
"Okay Thanks anyway." Sakura said handing back to her team. "So who should we send in first?" Since Yakumo is not Fighting this will be a 2 on 2.
"I think it might be best to send you in first Sakura, I'm sure none of them can match you're monster straight so it should be an easy win." Ino said.
"Yeah your right but those 3 feel really different somehow. I don't think any of them are push overs." Sakura said looking at team 5 and it looks like they're sending Iwabee first. "So they're sending in a heavy hitter so maybe it is best if I went first."
Sakura and Iwabee walked up to each other and stared each other down. "So I heard you're the apprentice of the 5th Hokage? I was hoping to fight someone like her at least once." Iwabee said cracking his knuckles.
"Well be careful what you wish for!" Sakura said As the match started. She charged in hoping to end it with one punch but to her and everyone's surprise except his teammates Iwabee grabbed her right punch with his left hand. In response Sakura tried to punch him with her left fist only for him the catch with his right hand. "But how?" Sakura asked not knowing what else to say.
"I'm made of tougher stuff that's why!" Iwabee said Head butting Sakura sending her backwards until she stopped but she definitely felt Is her head spinning. "So! Are you still ready to throw down, or are you given up already?!"
"I'm... I'm not giving up!" Sakura said getting back up. She put up her hands and was ready to start fighting again.
"Good to hear. Let's see what your made of pinky!" Iwabee replied.
The two started fighting hand-to-hand with soccer I'm using her chocolate enhanced punches and Iwabee using his Earth hardening. They both were hanging in there taking each other's hits although Sakura was showing signs a fatigue. Sakura knew this was just a practice fight and didn't want to reveal anything to new but she didn't want to lose so her only option was to hold out until 10 minutes and lucky for her that's just what happened. "10 minutes are up! This fight is a draw!" Shikamaru said.
With the fight over Sakura went back to Ino and Choji while healing her hands that were feeling very sore.
"I can't believe it? That guy was strong enough to match you blow for blow? I didn't think something like that was possible." Ino said surprised.
"Me neither, but anyway I'm sorry. In the end I couldn't secure a win in the 1st match." Sakura apologized.
"Its alright if anything I should apologize for sending you out there thinking it would be an easy win." Ino said before noticing Menma walking forward. "Looks like Menma is up next. Think you can handle him big guy?" Ino said to Choji.
"I'll do everything I can to get us a win!" Choji said feeling prompt running up to meet his opponent. "Let's Get this fight started!"
"Wooow, So full of energy." Menma said doing some arm stretches. "Let's see how hard we can work you, we might be able to get a few pounds off you if we're lucky."
Almost everyone's jaw dropped. "Did he just say what I think he just said?" Kiba asked no one in particular.
"Well It was nice knowing the guy even if it wasn't that long." Shikamaru said.
"Oh come on guys I'm sure Choji has gotten over that insecurity about his weight, so-"
"You're Roadkill Pal!" Choji said blinded by rage and activating partial expansion on his right arm.
"I stand corrected." Sakura said taking back her earlier statement.
Menma just stood there as his left hand glowed completely light blue with Chakra and use that hand to catch the giant fist. "Hey did anyone ever tell you not to get baited in so easily?" Menma said giving Choji a friendly but intimidated look with his scarlet red eye.
Choji for some reason found himself unable to move as he saw Menma Growing his right arm backwards as another chakra covered hand extended a few good feet before turning black. "No way is that?"
"My turn!" Menma said as he threw his black fist at Choji hitting him square in the stomach that sent him flying backwards with great speed that he impacted the ground leaving everyone except his team speechless. (You're all probably getting luffy vibes, but trust me there's more to his abilities than that)
"No way! He beat Choji with one blow. One Blow!" Kiba said completely shocked.
"What was that technique used?" Shino asked
"That was Armament Haki." Hinata said. "It allows one to Harden your spirit energy increasing your defense and attacks greatly. It can even punch through elemental attacks and could break almost any defense. Yoruichi said that the more you use it in battle the Stronger it gets." Hinata explained looking at Menma in amazement.
Ino who went over to heal Choji looked at Menma who casually walked back to his team. "I'm only still on the basic level of armament haki but hes already on the Harden steel part? Couldn't it be possible that Armament is his specialized haki like mine?" Ino said thinking.
"Okay the turning your arm into metal thing I already get but ready yet but what was with his arm? A glowed blue and then stretched?" Shikamaru asked no one in particular.
"It's an advanced form of Chakra flow/Chakra control, or better yet If you were to mix the 2 I would call it, Chakra Manipulation." Neji said getting Shikamaru's attention. "He can Manipulate the chakra around him to expand and extend and since the chakra isn't leaving his body when he brings it back to normal hes not wasting any of it. Believe it or not he knew how to use tree walk and water walk before he even graduated."
"Real interesting aint he." Shikamaru said. "How did you two stop being friends for a while?"
Neji signed. "Well that was kinda my fault, it was when our class took a field trip to Hong-Kong I said some things I shouldn't have and by the time I worked up the currency tool at least apologize he left for Leaf town. Even though we talked a bit after the 3rd funeral I don't think I ever fully apologized. I'll have to make a note to do that."
With the practice fights now over with It was time for them to call it a night. The leaf ninjas that were all familiar with said there farewells to their upper classmen for now. They were all on the road walking back to the leaf village as they were talking about the night they just had.
"So, what did you guys think?" Tenten asked.
"Not gonna lie, I'm kind of glad they weren't in the exam last year. I don't think any of us would have stood a chance if they were there." Ino said. "other than that I really like them."
"I'm still kind of mad that I lost." Choji said feeling a little down.
"I feel the same way. that Emilio guy is no joke." Kiba said.
"I enjoyed myself so I wouldn't mind doing this again." Shino said.
"It was nice to see Menma again although I wish Naruto was here to meet him. Also Yakumo Kinda reminded me of Kurenai sensei." Hinata said thinking about telling Kurenai about Yakumo unaware that they knew each other.
"Meh, they were cool." Shikamaru said short and simple.
"Honestly I was happy just having a good time tonight. Although I can't help but get a weird feeling from Menma? Why is that? Oh well I'll think about that later I have a mission to do tomorrow."
Ember city Academy dorms, night
Nowaki, Xion, and Bronya manage to sneak into the dorms despite being passed curfew and headed for their individual rooms.
Nowaki was about to go into his room until someone called out from behind him. "Hey Nowaki?" Nowaki turned around to see it was Xion Wearing her pajamas.
"Hey Xion, did you need something?" Nowaki asked.
"Kinda. I was wondering If on the day before the Chunin exams would you like to go out?" Xion asked with her hands behind her back and blushing.
"Oh is that all? Sure it's no problem." Nowaki said not really taking notice of her body language.
Xion smiled blushingly until a thought occurred to her. "Hey, you do realize that I just asked you out on a date and that this is something for just the 2 of us right?"
"Really? I thought it was just us hanging out?" Nowaki said confused.
Xion had an annoyed look on her face and an angry tick mark. But instead of yelling at him like usual she instead granted by the collar and planted a deep kiss on his lip. After a whole minute passed Xion broke the kiss. "Lurn to take a hint will ya!" Xion said before running off so Nowaki couldn't see how embarrassed he was.
As for Nowaki he was frozen in place not moving an inch. (Let's move on because Nowaki is going to need a minute to process this)
Tonzako townin a hotel
Team 5 after departing from the others went to their hotel room. Iwabee was already knocked out sleep on the couch leaving only Yakumo and Menma awake.
"So that was definitely fun, Don't you think?" Menma asked eating some take out food.
"Yeah it was, it was nice having fun with Tenten and Nito again." Yakumo said reading a book.
"So what do you think of team 8?"
"They're not bad, I'm just sorry they had to have my old sensei as theirs." Yakumo replied.
"Yep! She still hates her. So what was the real reason you decided not to fight?"
"If I'm correct in assuming that one of them will tell Kurenai about me, no doubt she'll come look for me. I want her to be completely surprised and unprepared for what I have in store for her." Yakumo said. She doesn't have a personal grudge against team 8 but she does have a Huge ax to grind with her former teacher.
"Ohhhh! Scary!" Menma said faking fear.
"So what are you going to do now, Menm- Excuse me I mean, Yuyake?" Yakumo asked using Menma's real name.
"Oh nothing much. My orders are simple. Just observe the Chunin exam and the Sand village. If what the Oracle says is true then That day is coming." Yuyake said.
"You're not going to involve the others, are you?" Yakumo asked not wanting her best friend to get hurt in whatever plan her teammate is involved in.
"Don't worry I If my plan goes well they won't even know what's happening, at least not till it's too late for them to do anything about think about it. Although It looks like Nowaki might involved So I may have to handle him personally." Yuyake finished.
And with that everyone in the land of fire We're now asleep on tunaware that right now an earthquake is happening somewhere that will spark a conflict. But that's for another story. As the events that will be happening here will there will shape the very future for the land of wind.
And done! Sorry this took so long work has been Good meaning I be tired during the Evening. As for those who are waiting for NightFox 2 I am almost done with it I promised. If I'm lucky I'll be able to finish it later tonight and publish it tomorrow. If not Monday.As for the sparring match Naruto's generation class had with Yuyake's I was just showing off the previous graduate abilities as well as Yuyake's As I'm sure some of you must be curious what hes capable of. As for Yakumo I'm saving that for a little bit later. I know the fights were short but they were just to give you an idea of what to expect. But feel free to tell me which fight you liked and what you thought of the Upper classman.Also with Nowaki and Xion I know I didn't focus too much on them because I wanted to shift a little of the focus towards Sakura and the others for a bit.
