"The dog and sweater girl!" The alien shouts, "now remember, everything is on the line now. The winner of this competition will be sent back to their dimension with the rest of their team. The other team's fate is vastly unknown, but they will remain in this dimension until further notice."

Both contestants nod. Neither wants to let their team down but neither wants to see the other team suffer or not know if they are suffering.

"You are both pure of heart, folk. Always nice and always doing things for others. Empathic and kind, though you both have your moments of selfishness too. Your challenge is one I deem the best friend challenge. You may know your team well, but have you taken your time to get to know the other? In this challenge, you will perform acts of service for members of the other team. Based on how well I think they appreciate your work, the better chance your team has at winning the final point to get out of here. Understand?"

Mabel and Scooby look at each other, it's not even like they are fighting. Both prefer this because neither wants to hurt the other. Their niceness will get them out of here but will get the other trapped. Both manage to smile at the other.

"Let the nicest person win!" the alien says, "And remember, this dimension is only bound by your limitations."

Everyone is confused by that statement. They are clearly stuck, each person wanting to leave as much as the next, so if they were only bound by the limits they set, why couldn't they leave?

Mabel tries snapping her fingers thinking of some arts and crafts supplies. Suddenly, paper, a pair of scissors, glue, and glitter fall in front of her. She could make stuff happen with a snap of her fingers just like the alien could.

Scooby doesn't have fingers so he tries a different method to try and get things to appear. He claps his paws together and Scooby snacks fall into his arms.

Dipper is the next to try but nothing happens. He wants a portal to open so they can return them home. That's when he realizes, it's bound by everyone's limitations, if the alien doesn't want the groups to leave, they are unable to create a portal to escape.

Mabel and Scooby start thinking of ways they can prove they are a better friend. Does that really make them better people or better friends if they are competing with each other?

Mabel tries not to think of it as she cuts some paper to make Fred a homemade ribbon. With a marker, she writes "#1 trap guy", she knew how disappointed he had been losing to Wendy. Another idea pops into her head and she makes a sash that reads fashionista across it for Daphne. Mabel dusts the sash with some glitter as she deems both her crafts acceptable. She hands the gifts to the taller couples and both examine them in their hands. They are cute and the gifts do cheer them up even if they're slightly childish.

Scooby knows he has to do something to top these acts. He claps his paws together as he thinks of a gift for Dipper. The dog gives the boy a watch that looks plenty ordinary.

"Ask it a question," Scooby tells him.

"What is my name?" Dipper asks feeling stupid.

The watch shows a picture of advanced stonework, like a masonry, his name… Mason… It knew.

"How?" Dipper asks, "it gives me hints to the correct answer?"

Scooby nods, "you'll never be stumped in trivia again."

Dipper does appreciate this, and the fact that he still has to come to the answer and that it's just not given to him.

Scooby looks around for something else he can do for the other team that is in front of him. Noticing how Wendy feels stiff and uncomfortable in the dress and heels. He claps his paws which changes her back into a flannel, jeans, and boots that don't have a large heel.

Wendy had never been so relieved for an outfit change. The magic had also removed the caked-on makeup from her face. With another small clap from Scooby, a brand new ax fell into Wendy's arms.

"Sweet!" Wendy says, taking a few shadow swings with the new weapon in hand.

Mabel does a similar trick with the snap of her fingers as she changes Velma as she changes the girl from the dress back to her orange sweater and red skirt. She snaps her fingers again and Velma's glasses are upgraded.

"Wow!" Velma exclaims, "what did you do?"

"In this state they allow you to see the next move that people plan," Mabel explains with a smile.

"That's incredible," Velma agrees.

Scooby looks again at the group in front of him. He still has to get gifts for two of them. He claps his paw as an idea strikes him. A necklace falls around Pacifica's neck and matches the lackluster stud earrings she is wearing.

Pacifica wants to say she doesn't appreciate the gift. She wants to say isn't vain, self-centered, or obsessed with her appearance, but it was never something she got over. The necklace feels good against her skin, right with her.

"Changes color with outfit," Scooby adds.

"So it'll always match?" Pacifica asks, carefully examining the jewels still.

Scooby gives a confirmation nod.

"This last act could be the difference in determining the winner," the alien reminds.

Mabel looks at Shaggy, the last member she still needs to give a gift to.

Scooby looks at Soos, not knowing exactly what to give the man.

"No!" Scooby finally shouts, "I refuse!"

"What?!" everyone except Mabel exclaims.

"The nicest thing we could do is give up ourselves," Mabel explains, "we'll stay here if you send our teams back," she offers.
