Chapter 3: Encounter With The Devil's Servant
As the hot summer day beams down and Albert and Sylvia are out flying around in patrol. They of course are not affected by the heat as the Heavenly couple cannot be harmed by anything, not even from the sorching sun. Then Sylvia notices a man lying flat on his back in his cornfield. He has fainted from the hot sun beating down on him.
Sylvia says, "Albert look that man lying flat on his back looks like he needs help."
Albert replies, "Let's go see."
Albert and Sylvia fly down and lands right in front of the fainted man. Albert bends down over him and breaths a breath of angelic breath on the man and both Albert and Sylvia help him up and he is totally revived like new.
The man's wife worried about him for he was out in the field for a long time has come to the field to check on him. She sees Albert and Sylvia fly away and asked her husband, "What was that?"
He answers, "I don't know but they saved me from dying of heat exhaustion."
Meanwhile back at Walnut Grove, Irv Hartwig who has come up from the pits of Hell and is at the Webb Farm.
"Now you bitch and bastard! Soon you both will come to me." Hartwig says as he waves his hands and the devil's magic comes from them and begins swirling to the Webb house.
Hector who is sitting in his rocking chair then he starts to get dizzy then he collapses to the floor.
Hartwig has put a curse on Mr. Webb and now Mr. Webb is deathly ill.
Irv Hartwig with a devilish laugh begins to write a note that says:
"Albert and Sylvia, you bastard and bitch. I'm back again and I know you two are staying here. I put a curse on your father, Hector Webb. Unless you met me in the Mountains out North tonight by 9pm he will die. I have a proposition to make to you both to keep your earthly father alive."
Hartwig.
Later that evening about 6pm. Albert and Sylvia arrive back home to the Webb Farm. Sylvia was thinking, "I will make supper tonight," but when they arrive home both Albert and Sylvia see Hector very, very ill. They don't know what has happened to him until Albert sees and reads the note on the kitchen table from Hartwig.
Sylvia replies with a concerned voice after Albert reads the note, "Oh Albert, that damn Hartwig!"
Albert responds, "My love don't worry your Pa. will be ok but we need to go to the Mountains to see what that Hartwig wants."
Sylvia responds, "But first Albert, let's get Dr. Baker to stay with Pa. till we return."
Albert agrees and they go off and get Dr. Baker and then they head off to the North into the Mountains.
Albert and Sylvia get to the Mountains right at 9pm. and Hartwig is waiting for them. Sylvia says to Hartwig, "What have you done to my Pa?"
Hartwig answers, "You Bitch, your Pa. is going to die unless you and your bastard husband sale your souls to the Devil."
As Hartwig, Albert and Sylvia are speaking there is a man looking down from the Mountains he is Jonathan and the Mountains are known as Jonathan's Mountains they are at the same Mountains that Laura Ingalls want to as a child when she prayed to God for her brother Charles Jr. to be sent back to her Pa. and to take her instead.
Albert and Sylvia are in a situation. If they agree to Hartwig. Hector will be spared but they will face total oblivion, as by the warning from God. If they don't agree Hector is doomed to die.
In Heaven God is watching the situation unfold and Saint Peter, Aylissa, Sylvia's Ma, May who are beside Him. God using His great powers of telepathy sends a message to Jonathan, "Go my son go to the Webb Farm and help Mr. Webb," God says.
Jonathan after looking at the three walks away and then vanishes.
"You hold the cards Hartwig," Albert says.
"Well do we have deal you two. My Master doesn't like to be kept waiting," Hartwig says.
Albert and Sylvia look at each other. Lowing their heads they begin to walk up to Hartwig.
"Ha Ha Ha Ha!..(with a devilish laugh) I waited for this moment for a long time," Hartwig gloats.
Albert and Sylvia come within inches of Hartwig. Hartwig motioning his right hand for the couple to kneel before him.
Albert and Sylvia comply and they kneel. Sylvia has a tear in her eye.
"And now! You both! Take my hand! Swear your soul's to enternal loyalty to the Devil!" Hartwig says.
Meanwhile in Heaven Saint Peter, Aylissa, May Webb, all shouts "No!" even Jack the dog cries seeing what is happening.
God remaining silent looks on. He seems to know His plan must work.
Before Albert and Sylvia speaks of their decision suddenly Jonathan appears and Hector Webb is with him now fully recovered.
"Sylvia! Albert!" Hector shouts.
The Heavenly couple turn and they see that their father is recovered. Then both Albert and Sylvia smile and then their expressions turn to anger gritting their teeth both of them clinch up their fists and they hit Hartwig in a punch with full force.
"Noooooooo!" Hartwig shouts being thrown back by the punch into the air.
"Go get that bastard, Hartwig! daughter and son-in-law!" Hector shouts.
Albert and Sylvia take to the air going after Hartwig.
Hartwig in mid-air gets himself up from the blow. Before he can do anything Albert gives him a good punch. POW!
"You bastard!" Hartwig shouts rising his hands as flames comes from them about to attack Albert.
Before he does Sylvia comes in and hits Hartwig with a flying drop kick from her boot.
Then Sylvia gives Hartwig a good right punch. After a second Albert punches Hartwig. Then Sylvia again, then Albert again. The enraged couple not giving Hartwig an inch in fighting back.
In Heaven the spectators are watching, then St Peter says, "They're beating the crap out of him!"
God hears St. Peter's comment as he watches. Not blaming his favorite children for their anger as they "cut loose."
Hartwig continues to be assaulted but then he generates a very powerful hellish blast causing a massive explosion which knocks the two Heavenly powered Angels back.
Then in a fast move Hartwig streaks forward and grabs both Albert and Sylvia by their capes swinging them around and around and then hurling them completely back and Albert and Sylvia land hard back on Jonathan's mountain.
Both are on the ground unmoving
"Sylvia! Albert!" Hector shouts
On the ground Albert and Sylvia are spawned out. However, they seem to have an idea so they play "dead"
Hartwig flying down towards them lands next them saying, "Fools you thought you could defeat me but you can't! BUT I can defeat you! I know about your wedding rings they are sources of your power!" Hartwig takes both Albert and Sylvia left hands with one hand and with his other hand attempts to remove their magic rings.
In Hell the Devil sees what Hartwig is trying to do shouts, "HARTWIG! YOU FOOL! NOOOOOO!"
But the Devil's warning comes too late suddenly lightning and thunder rang out above Hartwig. The Devil's agent looks up in the sky then he screams, "Yeeeeeeaahhhhhhhh!" Hartwig is struck by God's lightning. Hartwig cowers and he is struck by the lightning again realizing his grave mistake. A third strike by the lightning and Hartwig is instantly and totally disintegrated.
Albert and Sylvia continue to lay still as God is doing his work. His edict has been enforced. Anyone attempting to remove the couple's magic wedding rings will be condemned forever.
The lightning strikes and the wind cease. It is over! Hartwig is now gone forever not even his Master the Devil can retrieve him again.
The Devil shouts his anger. "THAT FOOL RUINED MY PLANS AGAIN! NOW HE'S GONE, BUT GOOD RIDDANCE!"
The Devil soon returns to his normal routine but he knows now to leave Albert and Sylvia alone.
The Heavenly Hero and Heavenly Heroine rise up to their feet. It's finally over. Hartwig is totally destroyed.
The couple reunites with their father. Sylvia hugs her father, "You alright Papa?" She asks.
"Yes, Sylvia I'm all right, are you okay?" Hector replied.
"Yes. It was a good thing our plan worked," Sylvia says.
Jonathan speaks, "Albert, Sylvia, the all Mighty Heavenly Father dispatched me to get your Pa to cure him from Hartwig's spell."
"Thank you," The couple says.
Then Albert says, "You say your name is Jonathan and this is your Mountain? I remember my sister Laura telling me about the time our little brother, Charles Ingalls Jr. passed she went up to some Mountains to pray to God and asking Him to bring Charles Jr. back to Pa and take her instead. Laura also told me about a Jonathan who helped her realize it wasn't her time to go to Heaven and that it was Charles Jr's time and that our Pa. loved her and needed her to be with him. Are you that Jonathan?"
Jonathan answers, "Yes, that was me."
Albert thanks Jonathan once more, "Thank you Jonathan you have helped our family twice!"
Before Jonathan heads off to go back up on his Mountain he says to Albert and Sylvia, "You are both welcome now go and continue to help others. There are alot of people out there that need help every day from the forces of evil."
Jonathan goes up his Mountain. Albert and Sylvia looks at Mr. Webb as Sylvia asks, "Pa, would you like to fly home with us through the clouds? Albert and I will guide you."
Mr. Webb answers, "That sounds like it would be an adventure, sure why not?"
What will Hector Webb experience in the clouds?
