Luna could just see the Nargles flitting about the mistletoe from her vantage point at the very end of the Ravenclaw table, just as she could see Caroline and Hermione approaching the entrance to the Great Hall form opposite directions at just the right time to bump into each other. Right under the mistletoe.

Luna's attention was drawn toward the Gryffindor table where Ginny sat, quite alone, considering most of Gryffindor decided to shun her after she became friends with Caroline. She wished that Ginny could sit with her, but that wouldn't exactly help her standing around Hogwarts, being friends with not only a Slytherin but also Loony Lovegood.

Luna smiled as the Nargles buzzed around the Slytherin and Gryffindor, just as the Wrackspurts started to react to the Nargles' presence wildly, and Hermione and Caroline awkwardly bumped noses and shared a chaste kiss for a split second before leaping apart and glaring before both turned to leave.

If they didn't notice the mischievous smile Ginny sported at the Gryffindor table where she maybe-might-have accidentally tripped Hermione so the timing was just right it wasn't Luna's fault. It was the Wrackspurts on Hermione that were extra frenzied today.

A/N: I'm not sure how well I did in writing Luna, but either way she was fun to write. My muse is being cooperative today so I decided to post another chapter. But I have a question for my probably non-existent readers: I might do some side Ginny x Luna. Do you think it would help support the main ship of Hermione and Caroline or would it be too distracting?
