It's 2 am and I just finished writing this after hours of work... just decided to post it instead of making you wait. Some of you may not even be awake. Jeesh this can't be healthy. Anyway, enjoy this last chapter.

A Rash Rescue - Final Chapter

Epilogue

Kensi rolled over onto her back Thursday morning with a groan the next morning, immediately shifting over onto her side, bottom stinging from Sam's reprimand last night. She reached for her wedding ring on the night side table, sliding it onto her finger. Her and Deeks didn't wear them while they worked, but when they had a day off, they put them back on.

She couldn't help but notice the sick feeling in her gut as she got out of bed and prepared for the day. She honestly didn't know what had gotten into her this past few days. Her overwhelming need to get the child back to her family had clouded everything else and her behaviour had just gone downhill. Even if Deeks and herself couldn't have children, that didn't mean another family had to lose their child. But she had gone about it the wrong way. If she had just listened and obeyed orders the whole operation would've gone much smoother.

And even though she'd paid the price for it (three times!) she still felt guilty and all yucky inside. She knew what she had to do. She went to the kitchen and found that dreaded spoon Deeks kept around just for this reason. Then she headed back to the bedroom, which she found empty. The bathroom door was shut, and running water could be heard from behind it.

Kensi sighed and walked back down to the living room, sitting down on the couch, pulling her legs up to her chest to rest her chin on her knees. She waited until Deeks walked down the stairs, damp hair leaving little water spots on the shoulders of his t-shirt.

"Baby?" he called as he walked into the kitchen, hands on his hips.

"In here," Kensi called, and Deeks entered the room soon after.

"What are you doing?" Deeks asked. Kensi sighed, looking up at him with big eyes. "What's going on?"

"I need you to do something for me," Kensi admitted, unfolding herself and beckoning him to come closer.

"Yeah, anything," Deeks said, coming to sit beside her. Kensi took a breath and pulled the spoon from its spot tucked beneath her thigh. "Wait, what?"

"I've been horrible this whole week," Kensi started. "And I don't feel right about it at all."

"And rightly you should," Deeks replied, "but baby, you've already had three..." he trailed off, not really wanting to say the word. He wiggled the spoon between his thumb and forefinger.

"Then make it four," Kensi replied. "Please, Deeks, or else I'll just ask Callen. I don't feel like I've paid the full price." The guilt sitting in the pit of her stomach rose. Kensi felt slightly sick.

"And you want this?" Deeks held up the spoon with a raised eyebrow. "You hate this."

"Well I certainly don't want it, but I deserve it," Kensi replied, albeit reluctantly.

"Yeah, you do," Deeks agreed, "but why do I have to be the one to do it?" He wrinkled his nose.

Kensi gave him a pleading look.

"Alright, let's get this over with. Stand up." Kensi stood with a sigh. Deeks took her wrists and guided her to stand in front of him, between his knees. "Kensi Marie, why are you getting this spanking?"

"Because I was disrespectful to my commanding officers and teammates, I disobeyed direct orders, and I ran into a dangerous situation without backup," Kensi said meekly, hanging her head.

"That's right. Do you understand why these things are wrong?" Deeks asked.

"Yes, I do," Kensi replied.

"Good. I won't make you say why," Deeks said with a small smile. He reached for the drawstrings on her pajama pants, quickly untying the loose knot before guiding her over his knee.

Once she was situated, Deeks tugged her pajama pants down, the loose trousers sliding all the way to her ankles, puddling on the floor around her toes. Kensi's thighs and what Deeks could see of her bottom were still a pinky color, which was not a surprise given how hard Sam had spanked her last night. Deeks took a breath before bringing his hand down hard on her backside. Kensi sucked in a sharp breath, tensing as Deeks brought his hand down again and again.

Kensi whimpered as Deeks continued to relight the fire that had settled down somewhat, tears springing to her eyes. Deeks didn't let the warm-up last too long before tugging her underwear down to her knees and picking up the spoon.

Kensi whimpered as the first snap of the spoon cracked down on the back of her thigh, reminding her why she hated that darn spoon so much. Deeks continued smacking it down in hard, rhythmic smacks that created angry red ovals of color all across her backside. Kensi jerked, as tears rolled down her cheeks, cries escaping her mouth. She tried so hard not to kick, after all, she had been the one to ask Deeks to do this.

Deeks frowned, hating every moment of this but knowing it had to be done. He quickly completed another circuit over her bottom before moving down to focus on her sit spots. Kensi started to cry harder, shoulders shaking. She couldn't help but kick.

"Kenz," Deeks warned, as Kensi kicked again, harder. Deeks tilted her forward, tugging his right leg out and over, clamping it over the backs of her knees. Kensi whined as he resumed smacking the spoon down against her rapidly reddening sit spots and thighs.

Kensi thrashed once, and Deeks stilled her with a sharp, hard smack to each of her thighs, and Kensi squealed. Deeks kept landing that darn spoon until she went limp, hands going down to grip the denim of his jeans for comfort. Deeks immediately stopped, throwing the spoon to the floor near the coffee table.

"All over," Deeks soothed, rubbing her back. He reached down and tugged her underwear back up over her very hot, sore backside, wincing at her whine of pain.

Deeks scooped her up once she stood from his lap, kicking his feet up on the couch, tugging Kensi against his chest. He kissed her forehead. "Feel better?" he asked as she nuzzled into him, fisting her hands in the fabric of his button-down. Kensi snorted.

"No," she said. "But yeah, I do."

"Good."

Kensi curled into him, closing her eyes as Deeks carded one hand through her hair, the other patting her bottom soothingly. She felt so much better already, the guilty, sick feeling in her gut gone. She finally felt her wrongs had been righted.

Kensi had barely entered a half-asleep state when a knock at the door sounded. Deeks sighed. Kensi whined as she realized she was about to lose her source of warmth.

"Kenz?"

"Mmm?"

"Better put on some pants," Deeks pointed out as he slid out from under her, ignoring her pathetic whimper. Kensi stood up, quickly retrieving and pulling her pajama pants back on as Deeks opened the door.

"Hey guys!" She heard Deeks greet as she sank back down on the couch with a groan, pulling the throw from the back of it and burrowing herself underneath. "Kensi, we have visitors."

"Don' wanna see 'em," she pouted. "Wan' you to come back."

"Maybe we need to have another chat?" Deeks warned as he stepped back, letting their guests inside. Kensi stood reluctantly, seeing Sam and Callen in the doorway.

"Hi," she greeted, mustering a smile despite the aching in her backside.

"Hey Kenz," Callen greeted with a smile. "We just came to check on you."

"To make sure I'm behaving myself?" Kensi asked impishly.

"Maybe," Sam teased with a raised eyebrow. "And are you?"

Kensi snorted. "Of course I am."

"Good." Sam reached out and tousled her hair. "You feeling better?" he asked as he drew her into a hug. Kensi nodded into his shoulder.

"Uh-huh," she replied.

"Now she is," Deeks piped up. "Little missy asked me to spank her this morning. Still felt guilty about this past week."

"Deeks!" Kensi hissed, cheeks bright red as she pulled back from Sam's chest to glare at him. Deeks snapped his mouth shut for the time being. Callen and Sam looked surprised, they hadn't expected her to do something like that.

"Good for you, Kenz," Callen said, tugging her into a hug. "Good for you."

Kensi snorted. "It hurts."

"It's supposed to," Deeks said. "You should see how red your butt is." Kensi flushed, cheeks turning pink again as she hid her face in Callen's chest to hide her embarrassment.

"Stoppit," she mumbled. Callen patted her back with a chuckle.

"Stop antagonizing her, Deeks," Callen defended, mostly teasing.

"Do you guys see what I have to put up with every day?" Kensi asked incredulously.

"You're the one who married him," Sam pointed out with a grin.

"Oh, touche," Kensi shot back.

"Be still my ever-beating heart, Kensi Blye-Deeks just used 'touche' correctly!" Deeks exclaimed with a grin. Kensi snorted. "C'mere," Deeks prompted, poking her side. Kensi pulled back from Callen, thoroughly enjoying all the attention she was receiving. Kensi sighed blissfully as Deeks tucked her into his side, wrapping an arm around her.

"Well, we're glad you're feeling and behaving better," Sam said with a teasing grin. Kensi nodded, turning to bury her nose in Deeks' shirt.

"Me too, guys. Me too."
