It was just past 1am when a black SUV slowly rolled up to the entrance of an apartment complex. After a few seconds the gates opened, and the vehicle slowly wound its way to one of the buildings located on the east end of the complex.

"How long will the surveillance cameras be out?" Roman quietly asked.

"Three hours twenty-seven and a half minutes," the smaller man in the back seat cheekily replied.

"Are you certain?" Aleister asked, his cold blue eyes fixed on the man sitting next to him.

Marko Stunt nervously looked up at him. "Yes, sir. Positive."

Jericho smirked as he parked the SUV behind the building. The four men silently exited the vehicle and walked down the dimly lit hallway.

Roman made a mental note to investigate possibly buying the property and upgrading it. 'Wouldn't hurt to have a couple of bolt holes in this part of the city if necessary.'

When they reached a specific apartment door, Jericho pulled out his small bag of electronic key fobs and studied the door for a few seconds. He handed the bag to a startled Marko and opened it. Reaching in, he found what he was looking for. Seconds later, the door was unlocked.

All four men put on night vision goggles then Roman and Aleister entered first, leaving Jericho to shepherd a nervous-looking Marko after them. Jericho silently closed the door then pointed to the kitchen area. Marko obediently entered the kitchen and waited as Jericho followed the other two men to a bedroom.

Roman silently studied the sleeping woman for a few seconds. 'Wish I hadn't made that promise to Mox. Oh well…' He and Jericho watched as Aleister dipped a cloth into a bottle of liquid. When Aleister nodded, they grabbed Leah's legs and arms.

Leah's blue eyes opened suddenly as she was grabbed. She felt a hand with a piece of cloth cover her mouth and most of her face. She tried to scream, but the cloth prevented her. Pinned to the bed, she vainly struggled for a few moments, then passed out.

Aleister waited another thirty seconds then slowly removed the cloth. He handed it and the bottle to Jericho as he and Roman released the unconscious woman.

Roman then handed Aleister a zippered bag. Aleister unzipped it and pulled out a syringe. Three seconds later, he injected a sedative into Leah's arm and handed the bag back to Roman.

"Pack her belongings. Leave anything that looks to be Jack's, but check it just to be sure," Roman quietly ordered. He turned and walked back into the living room. "Marko, there's her laptop. Hack into it."

"Yes, sir." Marko quickly took the laptop from the desk and went to the dining room table.

Roman began quietly searching the desk, stacking files to be taken with them. He had to admit, the files looked organized. Each folder was clearly and neatly labeled. 'Should make it easier to go through.'

"I'm in," Marko quietly spoke.

Roman raised his eyebrows in surprise. Apparently, Jericho had been right about the young hacker's abilities. He walked to the dining room table and pulled out a chair. Motioning for the younger man to sit, he asked, "Can you access her account with the rental property?"

Marko hummed under his breath as his fingers flew across the keyboard.

Roman smiled and walked back to the desk. He pulled a few notebooks out of one drawer and flipped through them. "I've found a list of passwords," he quietly spoke. "Including one for the residents' portal."

"That's okay. I'm in," Marko softly spoke.

Roman walked back to the dining room and handed Marko the notebook with passwords. "Just in case it's not so easy with everything else you're going to hack." When Marko looked up, he continued, "By mid-morning, I want her bank accounts…and Jack's…emptied. Make it look like she emptied Jack's account then emptied her own sometime yesterday. Cut off all her credit cards as well and trace any other accounts. I'm betting both of them had money stashed away that the other didn't know about. I want her busted and broke without access to a single penny. And don't pay any current bills either."

"Yes, sir."

"Now, draft a message to the rental office that she's leaving." Roman saw Jericho motioning for him. "Let me see it before you send it."

Marko nodded and began typing.

Roman walked to where Jericho was standing just inside the bedroom door.

"Got all her clothes and toiletries packed," Jericho quietly reported. "I'll go through the kitchen to make sure there aren't any medications or anything else stashed in there. Black's finishing up with Jack's stuff. So far, nothing that can't be left."

Roman glanced at the two suitcases. "Take those to the SUV. There are some files on the desk we need to take. Go through them later today and see if there's anything we need to know."

Jericho nodded and went to the other bedroom to speak with Aleister.

Roman walked back to the dining room as Marko looked up.

"See if this is okay," Marko said as he turned the laptop towards Roman.

'This is to let you know I'm leaving the apartment immediately. My husband was murdered and I can't stay here any longer. It's too hard on me to stay. I'm only taking my stuff so donate whatever's left. I'm sorry to leave like this. Please understand. Leah Moxley.'

Roman studied it carefully, mentally hearing the words in Leah's voice, then nodded. "Hold off sending it for a few minutes."

Five minutes later, Leah's suitcases were in the SUV along with the files Roman had stacked on the desk. Jericho and Black made a final sweep of the apartment. Roman nodded at Marko who sent the message to the rental office, then shut down the laptop.

Roman handed Marko the notebook with passwords and Leah's purse. "Make sure all those cards are cancelled. Her phone is in her purse so hack into that as well. I want to know everything you can get from it."

"Yes, sir," Marko nodded.

Roman handed Jericho the keys to Leah's car. "Head west out of the city. Use the back streets to avoid the street cameras. McIntyre's waiting at the chop shop in Stockton. They'll take care of the car, and McIntyre will bring you and Marko back. Make sure everything personal is removed from the car."

"Got it. We'll meet you at the complex exit," Jericho nodded.

Roman nodded at Marko who was slinging Leah's purse over one shoulder. "Keep an eye on him. He's good."

Jericho nodded as Roman watched Aleister carry the unconscious woman out of the apartment. Roman put a hand on Marko's arm, startling the younger man.

"Excellent job, Marko," he quietly spoke. "I'm looking forward to your report later today."

"Thank you, sir," Marko widely smiled and walked out of the apartment with a slight swagger in his step.

Roman grinned at Jericho. "Were we ever that young?" he murmured.

"Yes," Jericho snickered as he locked the apartment door behind them.

Two minutes later, they left the apartment complex and the vehicles went in different directions.

"We've got clearance from the tower for whenever we want to leave."

Leah dimly heard an unfamiliar voice speaking as she struggled to open her eyes. Finally, she forced them open to see…Roman Reigns calmly sitting opposite her, studying her with his cold grey eyes.

Startled, Leah looked around. "Where…why am I on a plane?"

"You're leaving Davenport. And you're not coming back," Roman coldly answered.

Despite herself, Leah shivered at the coldness in Roman's voice.

"There's a blanket in the seat next to you if you're cold. Would you like some water? I'm sure you must be thirsty."

Leah turned her head to see an older man sitting in a seat across the aisle from her. He resembled Reigns except that he was bald and wore a gentle smile.

Without waiting for an answer, he got up and walked towards the front of the plane. Seconds later, he returned with a bottle of water and held it out to her. When Leah hesitated, he gently spoke, "It hasn't been opened." When she took the bottle, he sat back down.

"I…I don't understand." Leah nervously twisted the bottle between her hands. "What's going on?"

Roman smiled although his eyes remained chips of ice. "I warned you. At Jack's funeral. I specifically warned you. And I know you understood that warning."

"I want to talk with my son," Leah protested. She looked at the other man, silently pleading for help. But, instead of looking at her, he was watching Reigns with a curious expression. "I haven't done anything wrong!"

Roman continued calmly watching her.

"You can't stop me from talking with my son!" Leah shrilly continued.

Roman raised his eyebrows. "Really?" he smirked.

The other man leaned across the aisle and gently patted Leah's leg. "Please calm down. Take a few sips of water and relax for a few moments." He glanced at Roman. "Everybody take a few moments." He looked back at Leah. "Would you prefer a glass? I know I hate drinking from a bottle."

Leah nodded. "So do I."

"Can you promise not to throw it?" the man asked with a gentle smile. When Leah nodded again, he got to his feet and returned to the front of the plane. A few seconds later, he brought back a glass. "Do you want me to open it for you?" When she nodded, he took the bottle and handed her the glass. Cracking open the bottle, he poured her a half-glass of water then resealed the bottle. "Just let me know when you want more."

"Thank you," Leah softly spoke. "You're very kind." She sipped the water then looked at Roman. "I can't just disappear," she pointed out. "Someone will look for me?"

"Who? The cops?" Roman jeered. "Oh, they may put your name into their system…along with the warrants that will be out for you for defaulting on paying your rent, utilities, credit cards and whatever. But, unless your name comes up somewhere, they won't find you. Or do you mean The Authority?"

Leah froze in obvious surprise.

"Did you really think I wouldn't find out the connection between them and you and Jack?" Roman asked. "All the money you were paid, set up in the apartment…all to put pressure on Mox to make him seem unreliable in Court at that upcoming trial? I told you that I'd do everything possible to protect my brother."

"Jon isn't your brother," Leah muttered, then squirmed when she saw the rage on Roman's face.

"Roman," the other man softly warned.

Leah shook her head. "I don't know what you mean about this…Authority, you said? All I wanted…"

"Save it," Roman brusquely ordered. "I don't need to hear your lies. And the Authority won't give a damn if you disappear. They'll write you off as the bad debt that you are. Just like they wrote off your husband."

Leah defiantly stared at Roman, then spoke. "Jon will look for me. He knows I wanted to talk with him."

Roman laughed, then leaned forward. "Talk with him about what? You plan on telling him about Marie?"

Leah gasped.

"You're such a fool," Roman shook his head. "Of course, I found out about Marie. And told Mox about her. All about how you and Jack let her die for lack of medical care."

"That's not true!" Leah shouted. "There wasn't enough money…"

"At any time, you could've taken her to a hospital…told them the circumstances…and that baby would've gotten medical attention," Roman interrupted. "Hell, you could've gotten Child Protective Services involved."

"They would've taken Jon, too! I couldn't lose both of my children!"

Roman fixed her with a cold look. "Liar."

Leah took a gulp of water from the glass in her hand. "Jon will never forgive you for this."

Roman laughed and leaned forward. "Who do you think told me to do this?"

Leah's face paled. "You're lying," she accused.

"Mox's words…and I quote…I swear to God, Roman, I won't be held responsible if I ever lay eyes on that lying bitch again. She's not going to stop either. She's going to keep coming at me and coming at me! I'll never have a minute's peace the rest of my entire fucking life! She just needs to go and never come back! Permanently!" Roman leaned back and coldly smiled. "I made my brother a promise, and I'm keeping it. Just like I'm keeping my promise to you."

Leah turned to the other man. "Please…help me…he's lying!"

"Just relax," the man soothingly suggested. "It'll all be over soon." He reached out to take the glass from her hand.

"No…what…" Panicked, Leah felt her body becoming heavy and sluggish. She tried to focus on the other man. "You…drugged…how…"

The man shrugged. "The inside of the glass was coated with a high-powered liquid sedative."

Roman leaned forward again and trapped Leah's face between his hands, forcing her to look at him. "And the last thing you'll see is my face," he angrily snarled. When he saw tears in Leah's eyes, he snorted. "Those crocodile tears mean nothing to me."

Roman didn't release Leah until she fell unconscious. Then he stood and wiped his hands on a towel the other man handed him.

"You're sure about this?"

Roman handed the towel to his cousin and nodded. "Trust me, Dwayne. What's going to happen to her is a hell of a lot better than she deserves."

Dwayne looked down at the unconscious woman and nodded in silent agreement. "I'll take care of it. She won't be back."
