Chapter 13: interrogation gone bad

Percy pov

I was standing on the one side of the justice league's interrogation room, Jason and Diana were on the other side, with Diana wrapping her lasso around my Alleged half brother.

When she was done, she gave a short nod at the two way mirror and then turned to face this 'Peter Johnson'.

She held the lasso n one hand and asked him "what is your name? The lasso of truth compels you." He struggled for a bit but then said "Peter Johnson."
"Who is your father?"
"Poseidon."

Well that at least confirmed what we kind of already knew.

Then she asked him this "why did you call yourself 'the death of the gods?"

He just scuffed and said "what did the gods ever done for me? Poseidon after hooking up with my mom just left us, my mom had a lot of issues, she started to use drugs, and when I started to see monsters following me around, my mom either thought I was imagining it or that she was high, but then you came along."

He pointed the last part tors wonder woman "and all of a sudden people started to believe me when I told the I saw a f#*king cyclops or whatever following me around, and that was even worse, nobody wanted to hang out with the monster magnet, but on The upside my mom started to clean up her mess."

He stopped to breath and then continued "we started to have a good relationship, she even convinced me to join the navy seals, i did and it wasn't easy at first, taking orders was really annoying."

I could relate to that, as a soon of Poseidon blindly following orders was against our very nature, at that moment I could hear my father's voice telling me 'the sea does not like to be contained son.'

He continued "but i stook with it, I never gave it a second thought to why i was easy with life out at sea and water dumping, and eventually i started to get along with my fellow soldiers, and even started to het along with my C.O, after my first tour in Afghanistan I went home to see my mom, she was happy to see me but I could tell something was bothering her, when I asked her about it she told me that some weird stuff have been going around when I was gone, I could feel it in the pit of my stomach, monsters were around again, I tried to keep myself away even more but I guess they didn't get the memo."

For the next part we felt the earth starting to shake a little when he started to say "my next tour started out as fine but six months later I get a phone call from my mom, nothing special she would call me up once or twice to check in on me, only this time she sounds different... more distraught saying things like more and more monsters have been coming around the house and some of them were even seeing enter the building, now at the time no buddy told me about who my dad was, I don't think my mom really knew herself, so I never really knew why this monsters were targeting me and my mom."

He started to breath more erratic and the earth began to shake even more crazy, he said again "one day i get a call from my mom saying she needs my help, I go to my C.O saying that I need to get back home because my mom needs me, he says 'ok in about a month how's that?' I tried to let him know that she can't wait that long but he says that o can't just up and leave, after a few more minutes of arguing I was holding myself back but then the genius gets the idea of telling me that I need to forget about my junkie mom, now I'm loosing it and punch the guy square in the jaw, security jumps me tackle me to the floor, in the process I hit my head at the table earning me this beauty." he said gesturing with his tide up hands to his scar.

"After I'm being trialled and dishonourably discharged I go home, I don't care about anything else, just want to see that my mom is ok, on my way I get a phone call from the police letting me know that some monsters have broke to my mom's apartment and killed her, barely left anything from her, they only her because her remaining part had her I.D on her, i went to her Place after the police gave the all clear, when I got there i was clean but I could smell the blood, it was tidy but i could see the mess, it was fixed but I could the damage."

Tears started forming in his eyes... And in mine, i couldn't help but think 'what if this was me? What if it was my mom?'

He continued "I don't how long I was there on my knees crying until I had no more tears left, when all of a sudden I could feel I hand on my shoulder, when I turned around to see who it was I saw a man in a blue suit just looking me in the eyes saying he is sorry, when I asked him who he was he said he was my father and told me all about the Greek gods and why he left my mom and I to fend for ourselves, he even explained why the monsters had bean tracking us all this time, and the only thing he could say that he was sorry, but then he had the audacity to ask me to go in a quest on his behalf, you know what I told him? That he can go F himself and swore vengeance upon Olympus, after that I somehow found work with black manta's crew, at first I thought that I was wasting my time just hassling Aquaman and the Atlanteans but then a few days ago an opportunity presented herself when someone approached us with the idea of taking Olympus and the justice league down, and of course i agreed."

We were all in shock at hearing that but then the real kicker came when he added "and I'm not the only demigod on bord with this plan."
