Chapter 14

***Percy pov, long island***

I was sitting on top of the grassy hill looking over the valley, besides the lake near by and the placements of things, this place was empty of cabins, archery range, training arena and everything else that had made this place the camp I so loved on my earth.

I was brought out of my musings when I hear footsteps coming towards me, I don't need to turn my head to know who it is.

Soon enough I feel her arms being intertwined with mine, she kisses me on the chick and say, "hey seaweed brain, how do you feel?"

I sigh while Annabeth rests her head on my shoulder, and I rest mine on her head and say, "this really screwed with my head you know? All I can think about is what if this was me? What if the circumstances of our earth were a bit different?"

***flash back***

We are all watching through the two-way mirror as Peter Johnson say, "and I am not the only demigod down with this plan."

At hearing that, I can feel cold sweat forming on my skin. In turn we see Diana tightening her grip on the glowing lasso and say, "elaborate further, now."

This time he didn't resist, he looked at her with the widest grin on his face, he started to laugh and said, "do you think I am the only one who got scorned by the gods? You had it easy princess. You were raised in a place that was safe for demigods, but the rest of us? Not that fortunate, I don't know how in ancient times we had survived as long as we did, but we are literally being left to fend for ourselves from day one."

He stopped and took a breath before continuing, "we have no training, we don't fit in the system, and we attract trouble of mythical proportion. And if we manage to survive long enough, the gods see us only as puns in their game, nothing more."

Now he was looking at Jason and said, "and that's only if your lucky, if your unfortunate enough to be a child of Zeus then on top of all the monsters the hunts you down, you have a very vexed Hera to deal with, so with a treatment like that, and no fair treatment from the gods, why would we be so inclined to serve them in blinded loyalty like you do princess? Like all of you?"

I looked at my fellow demigods, and they all hung their heads low in shame. We couldn't deny what he had said, even on our earth, thing with the gods weren't all sunshine and roses. Admittedly, we had it better than the demigods of this earth, but even then, the gods were jerks most of the time. Hades, I am their champion and they had treated me like crap for half of my time in their service.

`I think the only reason I didn't turned up like Peter was because I still had my mom, and that my version of Poseidon had always made sure to treat me right, well… as far as Olympians go that is.

And I kept thinking this whole time ~what if MR D had known about this all this time? I mean he used to literally call me Peter Johnsen, what if it wasn't a drunken haze? What if he tried to warn me that things could be worse? ~

***end flash back***

Annabeth and I were looking at the spot that in our earth would have the lava climbing wall, then we heard another set of footsteps coming towards us, I see in the corner of my that it is Diana in her civilian's clothes, in fact we all wear civilian's clothes at the moment.

She comes and sits at my other side, at first, we all sit there in comfortable silence, just watching the valley from our spot on the hilltop.

It was after five minutes of this that Diana had broken the silence and asked. "What are you guys looking at? I mean I love nature as much as they come, but you guys? I think some context is in order here."

Annabeth and I look at each other, and we start to chuckle before I say, "this is camp half-blood, or at least, where camp half-blood resides on our earth."

And then we start to explain where everything is located by pointing at some locations. Before we know it, we started to stand up and walk around the place, all the while Diana is listening with interest evident in her eyes.

I noticed that I started to feel better, not so much thinking about the events from earlier, but it did give me an idea for something in the future.

***third person pov, unknown location***

When the man known as David Clinton was dropped to the river sticks, he thought he was going to die with the amount of pain he was experiencing, he opened his eyes and saw that his special Chronos gear was melting, and that the particles were now being absorbed into his skin.

The only part of his body that wasn't in the river was his hand, as it was held by that lady that had thrown him there in the first place.

With a powerful pull, he felt himself being pulled out of the river's mercy waters and back on to the boat. He was gasping for air, he could feel his now red and raw skin starting to cool down and the pain begins to subside until it's gone completely.

"well MR Clayton, how do you feel?" the hooded woman had asked in her very accented voice, a hint of excitement could be heard in her every word.

His words were sluggish until he had regained his Barings, "I-I feel… powerful, I feel like time is mine to command with but a thought."

He then had gazed at her and asked, "Who… Who are you? And why would you give me this… POWER?"

He heard the hissing of snakes and saw strange movement under her hooded head, she started to laugh and say, "who I am is not important, as for your other question, you had taken The great Tian's name as your own, tried to copy his power by using science and machinery, now I gave a fraction of his real power to control, but I can offer you more…much, MUCH more."

She then had offered her hand for him to take and said, "all you have to do is come with me and do as I ask with no question, and I promise, all you hearts desires will be granted, world domination, control over space and time, every historical artifact for you to do as you please."

She then paused for of few moments before continuing, "but most importantly, revenge on the bat who had thwarted your every move."

If he had any resignation from her offer, they were gone the minute she promised him a chance for revenge at the batman.

He took her offered hand immediately and said, "what do I have to do?"

Even though her face was covered, David could have swore she was smirking under it, she said, "well… first thing first, we have a captured ally that we need to free."

***percy pov***

Annabeth and I were sitting with Diana in a diner having a little lunch, we had shown her everything around the area of the hill where on our earth the camp was.

She said that if only this earth Greek pantheon had similar ideas, we would not be in this mess, which had brought me to share with both her and Annabeth my idea.

When I was done Diana brows were furrowed as in in deep thought and she spoke. "This could work, assuming we'll live long enough to implement this idea, and of course we need to consult the gods about it, but it just might work."

I was about to ask Annabeth for her idea on the matter when suddenly Diana had stiffened up and her hand had reached to her ear and she said, "this is wonder woman. Wait, what?! Slow down flash I can't-, on our way there now."

She finished the call and turned towards me and said, "the hall of justice is under attack, we need to go there now!"

She finished as we had ran out of the diner to an alleyway, then Diana crossed her arms and in a flash of light, she had changed from her civvies to her wonder woman armor.

I concentrated and a feeling of rushing water came through my body as my Atlantean armor began to envelope me, and after a few seconds I was covered with it.

We had run out of the alleyway and into the nearest zeta tube teleporter, and in a flash of yellow light we were gone.

We came out of the tube to see the justice league members getting their asses handed to them by a bunch of black clothed, armed people.

They had melee weapons of all kinds, but what they also had that had them in advantage against the leaguers in place were superpowers.

more specifically demigods' superpowers.

I took out riptide and uncapped it as fast as I could, while also tapping my wristwatch to make my shield grow, and I could see Annabeth doing the same with her Dracon bone sword.

Diana was already charging in to battle one opponent that had seemed to be a child of Zeus, what with her shooting lightning bolts all over the place and yelling," Father! Come face me you coward!"

However, I did not see how that went down because I was immediately attacked by a different assailant, this one was an African American male, he had a scar in the shape of a claw attack going down from his right eyebrow all the way down to his jawbone, his right eye was blind.

He had a spear in his one hand and a rounded shield in the other, when he had looked at me his right eye began to glow blood red, and he started to twirl his spear around before jabbing it in my direction.

I had blocked his jab with my shield and started to swing Riptide in his direction, he had dogged almost all of my strikes while also giving some of his.

I looked at him for a second before it clicked in my brain, "let me guess, a son of Ares?"

He didn't say a thing in response, only flashing a grin at me before he came back on the offensive.

it was all the answer I needed before I maneuvered myself to spin around on my heels while bashing my shield in his head. While this had disoriented him enough it didn't knock him out, so I used the pummel of my sword to hit the back of his head to achieve that.

After I had tied him up, I looked to see the flash dealing with tow other speedsters that it wasn't hard to guess were probably children of Hermes.

However, as fast as they were, they were no match for the fastest man alive, and he had run circles around them, chocking them out of air and knocking them out.

I saw a few other demigods attacking and they were not about to stop, I was about to do something when I had heard a shout, "Percy duck!" and I was tackled to the floor by Annabeth.

I didn't protest because right after I had saw the Diana had used the same move she had used on all of us before.

After the shockwave had dispersed all of the attackers and knocked them to the floor.

We were about to tie them all up but then I heard hissing sounds, more specifically snakes hissing sounds, and they came from behind me.

"Everyone! Close your eyes! Now!" I shouted as I had raised my shield to protect myself, while turning around to face the being that had me reacting like this. Medusa.

"Ah Perseus Jackson, it is so good to see you again, it has been my wish that I could repay you for what you did to my sisters and I, but sadly that is not to be."

With each word, I could hear her getting closer and closer. I was tempted to throw my shield blindly at her but that would mean I would give up my only advantage that I have against her.

So, I decided to bait her, "what's wrong medusa? To scared to try and face me one on one? "

Her snakes hissed with anger and she said ,"you had gotten lucky that time, and I was fullish to underestimate you, but not again… no this is for something much, MUCH more important."

My muscles were tensing, ready to pounce at her the second she would make a move, but then the hissing had stopped. I had slowly lowered my shield, when I saw that she wasn't there, I lowered it all the way down but did not fold it just yet.

I then looked around and started to franticly say, "no no no no no no!" when I saw that all the defeated enemy demigods were no where to be seen.

The other demigods and members of the league were now looking around and saw what I just did and their eyes widen.

I had ran to the interrogation room, where Peter was locked up, only to see that it was empty as well, with nothing but a pair of cuffs left on the table.

"NO!" I shouted as I banged on the on-way mirror, shattering it, I didn't care though, we had our best chance to find out what medusa was planning vanish under our noses, and only because I couldn't function well.

It was my fault.

A/N: hey there people, so as you can see, I am not dead. I just had a lot going on, writing other fanfics, working on my own original book, and a lot was going in my personal life that I couldn't had find the time and inspiration to write this book again,
