Chapter seven
Hands to myself
Cassandra placed the shot glass down, "I'm just saying it's not that difficult!" She finished counting up her money for the night looking over to Derrick. "Plus, I think it's a good idea."
"A good idea is a few friends, and a cake." He pointed to her face, "I am not up for a pub crawl." He added cleaning the surface of the bar trying to get finished.
She's already paid her hundred euros in, her eyes focused on Derrick's face, "I'm just thinking it'll be a laugh, and think of how much fun it'll be seeing Demitri get super drunk."
"I mean yes," he said, but at the same time he wasn't sure of it, "But I am thinking of Scott…"
Scott chuckled getting back to the bar from clearing tables, "I am up for it," He turned to his husband, "You need to lighten up old man."
"Who are you calling an old man," Derrick grabbed his hips pulling him into his arm.
Cassandra chuckled, "And they say romance is dead…" She got to her feet, she paused seeing Mickey coming to the bar, "Hi…"
"Hey," Mickey watched her, "What are you lot talking about?"
Derrick let go of Scott for a second, "Demitri's fortieth birthday, and Harley wants to do a pub crawl."
"A pub crawl," Mickey knew that pub, meant bar in England, but at the same time he was happy about it. "And who would be on this crawl?"
Cassandra turned to Mickey, "Dominque, and Gemini are up for it, Scott," She looked to Derrick, "I am trying to get him involved."
"I told her, it's a very bad idea…" He said, but then glanced to Mickey, "But if you'll go, I'll consider it."
She now stared at him, "Please!" Her hands together in begging, "You can even bring Chloe…" She was trying her best to get him to come along.
"I'll ask her," Mickey said.
Jumping into his arms Cassandra giving him a quick peek on the cheek, "Thank you!" she turned to Derrick, "You're coming."
Mickey felt her let him go, but at the same time he was happy they weren't awkward around each other since they kissed a few weeks ago. "So, when is this bar crawl?"
"Sunday," Derrick said, "And it's going to be messy."
Cassandra poked her tongue out, "Shut it grandpa!" lightly kissing Mickey's cheek again, "I'll see you tomorrow." Walking towards the exit.
Scott watched Mickey's face as Cassandra walked away, "Are you really going to ask Chloe?"
"Yea," Mickey turned to the bar now, "I mean I doubt she'll come, but I'll ask."
Derrick gave Scott a look, and then a sly smile, "I see," He chuckled walking into the backroom to finish cleaning glasses.
Mickey pointed his finger to the door, "You two are something…" He now picked up his money making his way to the exit.
Opening the front door carefully, he could see the tidy lounge, and he was still feeling the buzz from work as he sat down on the couch. He glanced over his phone for a second seeing that Cassandra had texted him, he replied before putting it on charge and heading to bed.
Chloe watched the door open as she stretched herself on the bed, he paused seeing her waiting for him, "Am I forgetting something?" He admired her naked body for a second but kept in the doorway.
She felt taken back, "You don't realize what it is?" She sighed trying to calm herself, "One year ago you stopped me getting on a plane."
He felt it, "Oh shit!" He rushed to the bed kissing her, his fingers played into her hair feeling her lips embracing his with the same passion. Chloe pulled his shirt off, and he rushed to get off his pants, he trailed kisses down her body, her hands down his stomach.
Breathing in quickly Mickey could feel her hand rubbing over him, placing his hand over hers making her go faster. Kissing her harder, Chloe now laying him on his back as she saddled on his lap.
Watching as she positioned herself on him, he held her hips, leaning up kissing her wherever he could, her fingers in his hair pulling it rough. Mickey bit onto her bottom lip while she pushed onto him harder, running his hands up her back taking it all in, feeling his climax. Chloe rolled off of Mickey, as both of them laid on the bed panting for breath.
"Happy anniversary…" he laughed rolling on his side to study her face.
She rolled her head to see him watching her, "Happy indeed…" She watched his face, and for a second she believed it was good.
"Demitri is going to be turning forty, So Cassie is planning this whole bar crawl on Sunday," He smiled to her, but stopped seeing her face fall. "She invited us to go."
"I don't know," Chloe brushed a hand into her hair moving on the bed to get a better view of his face. "I mean, we're going to have Hector the next day, and I'm not ready."
Mickey lent on his elbow, his kept focused on her face. He brushed some of her hair from her eyes, "I feel like I need to go," He spoke softly.
"Are you asking my permission?" Chloe brushed a finger down his chest, stopping at his belly button. "You don't need to ask."
"I don't," He let out a yawn, covering his mouth he couldn't stop watching her. "But if you don't want to come, I'm not going to force you." He touched her cheek leaning in for a kiss before turning off the light.
Chloe watched as Mickey fell into a sleep, she didn't sleep herself right away as her fingers played into his hair, trying to figure if they were finally getting past the storm. She got to her feet when he was sleeping deeply. Moving off the bed she tip toed to the bedroom door, she glanced back leaving the room.
Getting to the lounge she picked up Mickey's phone, she knew his password unlocking it. finding herself glancing over his messages, then seeing Cassandra's name, it was simply written as Cassie. Glad she didn't message him recently as she quickly read the conversations they had, she breathed a sigh of relief as she found nothing incriminating, mainly just talking about the kids, the odd joke about people they work with.
"What are you doing?" Mickey walked into the lounge seeing Chloe, but she was standing by the table.
"I thought I heard something." She said turning to face him. He groaned walking back to the bedroom.
Letting out a breath she was holding quickly glancing to his phone that she had put back down before he'd entered the room. It was her turn to head back to the bedroom thinking she was worried for nothing.
Mickey turned up at the first bar, he glanced to the outside thinking why he had turned up too early, he took out his smokes lighting one up, he inhaled sharp finally seeing her.
Cassandra stood in front of the bar, her heels were not as high as her work ones, but she wore a pair of short shorts, with a vest top with a picture of Captain America's shield on it, and her hair was pulled out of her face, but still down in waves. She smiled as she saw Mickey coming over to her. "I am so happy I am not the only early one."
"I'm right there with you," He put the smoke to his lips as he freed his hands to hug her, "Are they normally late?"
"You wouldn't believe," Cassandra took the smoke from his lips taking a pull and passing it back to him, "Want to start?" She pointed towards the first bar.
Mickey took a long draw from the smoke before putting it out, "I like that idea." He hooked his arm with hers heading into the bar. Pleased that Cassandra ordered them two beers, and he took them from the bar heading to a table.
"So why didn't Chloe come with you?" Cassandra took a sip from her bottle sitting beside Mickey, her hand played with the label as she kept her eyes on him.
He shrugged, "We've got Hector tomorrow, so she wants to be safe." He thought about the last time they went out drinking together, and he pushed the memory back down.
"That is why Helena has Kali until Tuesday," She laughed drinking more, but she wasn't planning on going too mad. "Not many times I get an excuse to do this." She said with a big grin.
"Snap!" Mickey clicked his bottle against hers and smiled.
Cassandra giggled, but stopped seeing Derrick and Scott entering the bar, so she stood up waving them to their location. Mickey on the other hand felt her butt hitting him on the shoulder, his hand touching her hip to move it. "Sorry!" She tried to calm herself, "You don't want that in your face."
"Oh, he'd love it right there!" Derrick joined the table, he reached over giving Cassandra a kiss, then patted Mickey's arm. "You two got here early."
"Yea," Mickey watched as Scott joined the table with two cocktails, "How late is everyone?"
Cassandra now sitting back down, her hand rested on the table seeming to have a good feeling, "Oh," She glanced over her watch, "They will be at least another hour…" taking her phone from her purse, she pointed to Derrick and Scott, "Say pussy!"
Mickey laughed watching her take the photo, but see her wrapping an arm around his neck, her lips to his cheek taking a quick selfie of them.
Scott laughed giving Derrick a look, but Mickey just brushed it off as banter. "So, we normally turn up early to catch up." He glanced to the outside bar area, "Shall we?"
"Yes!" Cassandra got to her feet, and they all walked outside. The weather was nice, as Derrick and Scott sat one side of the table, Cassandra and Mickey sat on the other. "Okay, I am thinking if we start here, then make our way down." She pointed in a direction as Mickey lit up another smoke.
"True, but if we go," Scott pointed another way, "We can hit the karaoke bar before the drunks take over." He lit his own smoke up.
Derrick rolled his eyes watching Mickey, "I just want to be that drunk." He chuckled as he took a sip of his drink.
"We will be the drunks taking over," Cassandra took the smoke from Mickey taking a drag, she now looked serious, "I know for a fact Demitri is going to try and find an excuse to leave early."
"Don't we normally let him, so we can get weird?" Gemini joined the table with a wink to Mickey, but she watched as he took the smoke from Cassandra.
Mickey followed the woman as she sat next to Derrick, holding a glass of something that looked neat liquor in it. Gemini looked beautiful in a tight dress and flats, wearing a long dark wing, "So how long does Demitri stays?"
Dominque was holding a pitcher of something fruity as she sat next to Cassandra, "About an hour or so," She laughed, out of the club she looked nothing like her persona, and this was the first time Mickey seeing any of this people out of the club.
Her short hair was curled, wearing a pair of shorts with a crop top, she placed an arm around Cassandra, "I realized this is Mickey's first night out with everyone…"
"Yes!" Derrick laughed, "You'll love it." He winked.
Dominque glance around, "Wasn't you trying to bring your girlfriend?"
Mickey smoked more, "She's not up for it," He felt Cassandra taking it from him, he glanced to the empty bottle, "You want anything drink?"
"Please," She watched him walking away as she carried on the smoke, now feeling the table was watching her. "What?" she said feeling confused.
Gemini raised her eyebrow, "I'm not saying it…"
"Not it," Dominque put her straw in her mouth drinking right from the pitcher she held close to her chest.
Derrick and Scott looked to each other, "Nothing," Scott kept a smile as he drank more of his drink.
"Okay…" putting the smoke out her head tilted to one side, "Is this because of me, and…" She turned to Scott, "you didn't?"
Derrick glanced to Scott, "He did, and Dominque overheard."
"To be honest, I am surprised it was just that." She pointed while drinking more of her pitcher.
Gemini was lost, "Did they fuck?"
"No!" Cassandra said, "It was a stupid kiss like a month ago." She folded her arms, "And it didn't mean anything." She pointed to Scott feeling let down.
"If you say so," Derrick finished his drink, and laughed, "Well lets pause the conversation as boss man is here." He could see Demitri talking to Mickey at the bar.
Cassandra felt some relief as Demitri joined the table with Mickey, and she took the bottle of beer off as he sat back down beside her. She knew what they were getting at, but at the same time she wasn't going to eat into the way they thought Mickey and she were up to something wrong, they were good friends.
They had moved onto a few bars before hitting the karaoke one, as predicted Demitri called it a night a bar before the karaoke. Mickey noticed how everyone's attitude changed when he left. Derrick and Scott more affectionate towards each other. Gemini getting more flirtatious as she got more drunk, Dominque had disappeared with a random woman, and Cassandra let Mickey know they wasn't going to see her again.
Walking back to the table Gemini placed the round of drinks and shots onto the table, "I am tired of walking, can we stay here?" She flopped onto the chair picking her drink up taking a sip.
"I second that," Cassandra felt better in this bar, the chairs were comfortable for a start as she picked her own drink up.
Scott laughed, "Okay, we can stay here." He glanced to Derrick, "I want to sing our song."
"I'll sing it!" Cassandra pointed, "Let me sing it for you!" She was trying to not shout, but at the same time looking to them.
Derrick chuckled, "Okay," He touched Scott, "I think it'll be nice."
"Okay, but please don't kill it." Scott wrote the song down; he knew that it was better than him attempting it.
Mickey picked up a shot as Scott returned to the table, "Okay," He felt good, "To us," He toasted as everyone knocked the shot back placing the glasses down.
"Got to admit, I like not being behind the bar," Derrick said seeing how busy it was.
Scott nodded, "Agreed, but no more work talk." He finished his drink quickly, "I am here for a good time." He skimmed around the bar for a second, and he got up heading off.
"What did I miss?" Dominque was holding another pitcher joining the table.
Gemini laughed, "I thought we lost you to the red head."
"Na," she sat on Gemini's lap, "She really was rubbish as it," She lent the back of her head onto Gemini's shoulder. "Who's put songs up?"
"I've got some," Gemini laughed, "But then it's just tipping the guy to get us bumped up." She turned to Cassandra, "Show him the twins…" Her finger pushed down the other girls top.
Slapping the hand away Cassandra gasped, "Why not you?"
"Because you're at bigger…" Dominque smirked looking over Cassandra, "And no bra…"
Cassandra shook her head, "Oh give off." She got to her feet, "You all know that I am not flashing for free." She listened to hers and Gemini's names being called.
Mickey drank more of his beer watched them leave the table, he glanced to see that Derrick had gone, so he could only assume he went for a quicky somewhere with Scott. "So…" He spoke to Dominique.
"Mickey," She held onto her straw, and then back to the stage where the song that Cassandra and Gemini were going to sing started. "Do you like Harley?"
"She's a good person," He replied listening to the song called No by Meghan Trainor, he watched as Cassandra and Gemini were having fun with the song, singing and dancing on each other.
Dominique followed his eyes drinking slowly, "I sometimes wish she played for my team," wanting to be honest, she could read people well, and she could see how he watched Cassandra without noticing people could see him.
Mickey kept focused on the singing, but for a second turned to Dominque, "Does she know?"
"She knew, but I think it's hard for her," Dominque placed her drink down, "But I see how she looks at you, and I know she's a good person, so she won't do anything wrong." Her eyes going to the stage again.
He listened to Dominque, Mickey knew what she meant, and he didn't know how many people at the club knew what happened, but at the same time he wasn't mad for Cassandra for talking to someone about it. All he could do is go to the bar to get more drinks, and then glance over his phone to see that Chloe hadn't messaged him, she wanted him to have a good time.
Seeing Dominque alone at the table Cassandra picked up her drink taking a sip, she knew Gemini had a cute guy ask for a chat. Cassandra sat near Dominque, "I am going to not add singing onto my skills set at work," she laughed placing her drink back down.
"I really don't think the men were thinking of your singing," Dominque added while brushing some of Cassandra's hair from her face. "Are you going to be, okay?"
"I'm fine," She said finishing her drink, "I am incredibly good at taking emotions, and shoving them into a jar." Her eyes followed Dominque's to the bar where Mickey was waiting to be served. "You didn't tell him?"
"No," She hesitated, "I might have hinted…"
Cassandra got to her feet, "Dom!" Her voice growled as she headed to the bar to stand by Mickey.
He hated waiting for a drink, but felt better when Cassandra joint him, "The place is busy." He stopped seeing her face, "What's up?"
Cassandra placed a hand to his shoulder, someone had started to sing Human by Christina Perri, and she did her best to keep it in. "Nothing, just Dominque is being weird," She lied, but she was fishing now.
"I know, she thinks you have feelings for me," He laughed it off, his hand touching her waist. Mickey knew what he was doing trying to catch something of Dominque being right.
Cassandra did a scout of the bar to see if anyone else had returned to the table, but Gemini was now eating a guy's face, Dominque talking to a tall woman at another table, "I told Scott about the kiss, and you know how people talk."
"Ah," Mickey caught the bar tender, "Two beers, and two tequila's." He placed money on the bar, "Keep the change." He added as he noticed he'd not let go of Cassandra's waist.
She didn't want to admit to herself that his hand on her made her stomach knot, and she didn't like how she fixated on his eyes. "I'm sorry."
"Don't stress about it," He passed a shot glass to her, "I'm grateful for you." He smiled.
She couldn't stop her smile, taking the shot with Mickey placing the glass down, "How are you so kind?" She knew it was hard to talk over the loud singing.
"A talent," He said into her ear, he took in the smell of her skin, and fought the need inside himself, "you want a smoke?" He asked for a reason to step into the smoking area.
Cassandra picked her drink up, taking his hand they walked passed Gemini going outside. It wasn't a large area, but it was quiet as Mickey lit up a smoke handing it to her before lighting up his own. "So how long are you planning on doing what you do?" Mickey asked.
"I'm in the process of doing a business degree," She took in the smoke, "And hopefully I'll have my own place." She added.
Mickey laughed, "Ever need a DJ," He clicked, "You got me."
"Do I?" she looked away from him taking a pull of the smoke, sometimes it was hard to look at him, she didn't think she could keep it off her face. "I'll take that into consideration."
Mickey drank some of his beer, he placed the bottle on a wall, he lightly held her hips pulling her attention to his face. He wanted to take in the details of her, how she looked at him, her pupils were dilated. Could it be the drink, or him?
"Mickey don't…" Cassandra felt him pull her closer to him, his hand held onto her ass now.
He wished he listened, but he took the smoke from his lips, he felt her eyes pulling him in, "Then tell me you don't feel anything."
Putting the smoke out, and she drank more of her beer. Cassandra knew this wasn't easy, "Mickey, you're drunk." Her hand playfully rested on his chest, his open shirt and vest combo feeling her fingertips moving slowly. "So, we can go back…" His hand let go of her ass putting his own smoke out, he couldn't understand how this was happening, but he didn't want to stop it.
Not thinking he held his hand into her hair pulling her lips to his, he felt her hand pull on his open shirt making the kiss deeper, her tongue ran over his, and her hand dropped the bottle she held pulling him in tighter as she couldn't stop it. He started it, and as much as she was going to hate herself, she wanted to feel the same feeling she had that month ago.
"My place is close," She whispered into his ear, she didn't know what she was thinking, but at that moment she was grateful for having her purse on her.
Mickey jumped over the wall to the street, he held his arms out for her, there was a three-foot drop. Cassandra sat on the wall, she turned feeling him holding her as she slipped off the wall into his arms, her eyes locked on his feeling his fingers gripping her ass, and her fingers pulled at his hair kissing him as he pushed her shoulders against the wall.
Mickey pulled back for breath, he could feel her trying to catch hers as they started to walk away from the bar. A snap made Cassandra stop as she glanced down to her feet, "My shoe…" She reached down picking up her heel that had broken.
"Let me," Mickey attempted to pick her up, but then tripped back, and both of them landing on the ground laughing. "Give me a second…" He kept chuckling, he got to his feet helping her up also.
Cassandra took her shoes off, "I got an idea," She stood behind him, and spanked him. "Piggyback…" She watched him crouch as she hopped on his back.
Her legs around his waist, he held under her knees, her arms wrapped around his shoulder. Mickey could feel her face resting on the side of his, "Mickey…" She sighed his name; he was moving quickly in the right direction.
He knew her building, and he paused for a moment, "I am fine…" She got down finding the key, she paused at the door. "I think…"
"No, don't think…" Mickey pulled her into another kiss, "No thinking." He took the key from her hand opening the door, scooping her into arms, he didn't drop her this time getting to the right apartment, he shifted her to be able to get in.
Cassandra got to her feet, she felt the rush of passion was fading, she knew this was bad. "Mickey," Her finger played over his jaw, why did his eyes have to be so inviting, why did his lips have to be sexy. She wanted to keep it together, "Fuck." She turned her face away from him. "What are we doing?"
He touched her chin making her eyes meet his again, he wished it were that simple, "I don't know…" Mickey brushed her cheek in the palm of his hand, he pulled her into a hug as her arms wrapped around him resting her head against his chest.
Closing her eyes, she wanted to cry, pulling back she see the emotions in his, "I hate this." She said.
Mickey lent down lightly kissing her forehead, he kissed it again gazing into her eyes for a second, he wanted to stop time. Her eyes were so big, "This isn't fair…" he didn't let her go.
The silence between them was tense, but Cassandra finally let him go, "You can crash here…" She now headed towards her bedroom. Getting him some pillows, a spare blanket as she headed back to the lounge seeing him sitting on the couch staring at his phone.
He turned to see Cassandra passing him the things she got, her small smile felt they were doing the best thing. "We're doing the right thing…" she said with a sigh, "Goodnight." Walking away was hard, but it had to be done.
Taking off her clothes Cassandra washed the little makeup off her face, brushed her hair before finding an oversize t-shirt to put on. The thought of what she was going to do, how was she going to carry on with being friends when she knew it was not going to be good. The guilt wasn't as bad as before, getting to her bed she laid her head on the pillow, the drink still making her feel like a livewire.
Mickey kept staring at his phone after he'd set up a make do bed on the couch, he'd gotten undressed to his underwear. He couldn't take himself from his pictures he'd taken that night himself between Gemini and Cassandra, he flicked to another of himself and Cassandra holding each other.
He kept going back to his feelings, he was drunk, and he knew that much, but he now found himself getting to his feet. Not thinking it through, but Mickey at this point, never really had thought anything through properly. He stopped at the bedroom door; he took a deep breathe opening it quickly seeing her lying on the bed.
Hearing the open-door Cassandra sat up quickly, she saw Mickey. Felt her heart beating against her chest, she didn't speak watching him walking into the room.
He got to the bed crawling on to her, his hands found her face kissing her. There was no hesitation, and she didn't stop him as she grabbed him, the rush of excitement again. Mickey's body on hers, she laid back with him above her. He locked his fingers in both her hands, he held them above her head pinning her to the bed.
Legs weak, his other hand rubbing her clit, it ran circles slow, but built up fast, and she was moaning into his kiss, he lifted her shirt exposing her breast. Moving his lips to embrace her nipple between his teeth, she was rolling her hips into his palm.
Cassandra want it to stop, his weight wasn't heavy on top of her, she could feel herself building up the top of her orgasm, she had forgot how good it was to be touched, his tongue flicking over her nipple helping the rush of ecstasy making her scream out his name.
He let her hands go taking the t-shirt off of her, he kissed her once more, he laid beside her now, with her kissing him pushing him on his back, she pulled his underwear off, for a moment taking in the tattoos she could see, she was not sure how she got this far, but for once she wasn't going to hold back.
Mickey was hard, he couldn't stop watching her face, she was giving him fuck me eyes, but her lips kissed him in a way he'd never imagined. Her tongue ran over his stomach, but when he glanced down, she kept her eyes on him, he could feel her fingertip running the length of his erection.
Cassandra first rang her tongue up, her hand gripping his girth before moving her lips around the head. She wasn't scared to keep eye contact with him, but it wasn't long before his eyes closed. Taking all of him in, her motions were careful. She could feel his fingers in her hair, guiding her on him, he moaned.
He thrusted his hip wanting to have more of her on him, he knew she paced with him, it felt too good, and Mickey could feel it, as he cum into her mouth he opened his eyes to watch as she finished him, and he watch her eyes on his brushing a thumb to the corner of her lip amused at him.
Cassandra didn't hesitate in moving back up the bed to Mickey, he ran a hand into her hair pulling her into a deep kiss, he didn't care, right now he wanted to feel her, he wanted to not stop touching her as his hands explored the curves of her body. He wanted to know what she liked, what she didn't like, he wanted to know all.
His fingers tips on her skin gave her a primal feeling, a need to have him in her, whatever way he could, she hadn't been touch in this way in so long, it felt new to her. Each sensation an awakening of her senses as he pushed his fingers inside of her.
She was slick, as easy to push his fingers inside, her body quivered, and he enjoy pushing the buttons, hearing her sighs, he speaking his name is a way that made him want to devour her whole, it wasn't long before he was hard again, he wanted to be in her.
Mickey between her thighs could only admire her, pushing inside of her hard, it felt warm, it was something new and for a reason he couldn't explain it was exciting. He lent down kissing her as he knees hooked to his hips, her fingernails ran down his spin, but she didn't push them in hard.
Cassandra was whole, she bucked her hips to his thrust, and each pound pushed her to the edge, he was good, and she couldn't deny it. He grunted, but it wasn't off putting as her hand forced his mouth on hers, they kissed as Mickey quickened his pace, he wanted to hit her spots harder and faster, at the same time he didn't want to rush his climax, he grabbed her ass tilted her hips more, he knew the sensation of her cumming on his dick, she was getting wetter with each orgasm. He stopped the kisses, he wanted to see her face, he felt pure delight in watching her cum for him, but he could only hold back for so long before feeling himself cum.
Her panting was heavy, as he rolled off her, he couldn't stop admiring her. Cassandra laid on her stomach her fingers played with his chest.
Resting her cheek to his chest, all she could hear was his pounding heartbeat, as he was out of breath and both of them sweating. "Now that is something my vibrator can't do…"
He now burst out laughing, "No," He said now holding cheeks with one hand, pulling her face to kiss him once more, "But I am curious…" He reached over to her bedside table trying to open the draw.
"No!" She giggled pushing him back, "Not now…" She blew a piece of hair from her face, "I can't…" Her voice was husky as she looked up to his face, even covered in sweat, still sexy as hell.
Mickey smirked, she rested on his chest again, and for a moment he glanced down to see her let out a light yawn, he knew it was late, but he didn't move falling to sleep with her in his arms, and her smile made him feel warm inside.
