Chapter 5
Inside the Rengoku residence, Senjuro was getting ready for bed when he heard a knock on the front door. He walked over and slid the door open. His eyes widened and he stood there, frozen in place, mouth slightly open.
"Kyojuro?" he managed to say.
Kyojuro smiled and ruffled his younger brother's hair. "Hello Senjuro. I am home."
Senjuro hugged his brother and Kyojuro wrapped his arms around him. Senjuro had tears in his eyes.
"I thought you would never return." Senjuro said.
Kyojuro got out of the hug but kept his hands on his younger brother's arms. "Of course I would return. There's not a moment of every day I think about you."
"But Senjuro, there is something I need to tell you." Kyojuro said as he looked into his brother's eyes.
Back with Tanjiro, he was standing in the entrance of the Hashira's abode. He watched from a distance as he sees Kyojuro explaining of what happened on his mission to his brother. At first, Senjuro was taken back, a little afraid but he noticed that Senjuro relaxed.
Then Tanjiro saw the two hug once again. Kyojuro saw Tanjiro waiting and he beckoned for him to come inside. Tanjiro walked up to the brothers.
"Is it true? You were with my brother on his mission?" Senjuro asked.
"Yes. I am Tanjiro Kamado." Tanjiro introduced himself.
"My brother told me you have a sister who was turned into a demon." Senjuro said.
"Yes. She was. I promised that I would find a way to turn her back into a human." Tanjiro said.
"Does that mean you can turn my brother back too?" Senjuro asked.
Tanjiro was a little taken back but then he smiled. "Yes. I will find a way to turn both my sister and your brother back into a human."
Senjuro smiled back at him.
"I promise."
