Before we begin, please be advised that there will be gruesome moments below on part of JoJo being a violent series to begin with. Hope you understand. Oh, and be warned for spoilers from JoJo. If you don't mind spoilers, then I won't stop you. If not, then read at your own risk.
Standing under the moonlight with arms folded and posture menacingly displayed upon them, Ragna, Yu, Hyde, Ruby and Sonic stare at the blonde tall man wearing a white jacket, yellow tank-top suit and white chaps with exposed crotch, a gold heart circlet on his head to match his gold knee guards. The group didn't do anything other than stare as Dio lowers himself to the ground surrounded by a golden aura. On his way down there, Dio says, "So the Grim Reaper, the Persona user, the Unknown Actor, the rose-themed girl and a blue rat are finally here, standing before me that is Dio. I must say, you all sure are persistent considering you kept Infinite at bay as a team." Now landing softly on the ground, Dio continues his condescending tone as he adds, "Now I have to wonder if you can stand a chance against me and my power, which I expect that you would lose horribly to me."
While the four realize he mentions Infinite's name, Sonic didn't listen to his words when he calls him a blue rat, causing him to lash out. "Hey! Who you're calling a blue rat!? Rats don't have quills like this so quit making that assumption, mister!" He takes a step forward as he lashed out when suddenly, System speaks up. "Don't go near him Sonic!"
"Huh?" Stopping his tirade and walk, Sonic brings out System from his quills, who is visibly shaking from fear. Blinking over her behavior, he asks, "System, why are you shaking? Are you...afraid of something?"
"Yes Sonic. I'm afraid...of that vampire named Dio, standing menacingly before you." She replies.
"A vampire?" Ragna parrots, surprised to learn Dio is a vampire. Knowing from his experience as a dhampir and Rachel Alucard, he already sees that he's not gonna have a good time with Dio.
Showing his sharp teeth, Dio says, "It is what System said. I, Dio, am a vampire like you Ragna, though you're actually a dhampir but who cares about that? What I care about though, is looking forward in the inevitable defeat from all of you so-called heroes against my might."
"Oh yeah?" Hyde points his Insulator against Dio before swiping it and getting in his battle stance as he says, "If you want to fight us, then you're making a mistake. We will beat you to a pulp, especially when you seem to know Infinite."
"If you're working with Infinite, then that means you're also our enemy!" Ruby, despite being unsure and shaking from her shoes, grips her Crescent Rose as she glares at Dio.
"I may have not known you for long but I already hate your guts," Ragna snarls, rotating his arm in preparation for the fight. "You will be sorry once I'm through you."
"You said it Ragna." Sonic agrees with his words, assuming a stance as he adds, "Let us show this Dio what we're made of. And also, make him pay for calling me a rat."
"You sound annoyed when you said that word, Sonic." Hyde pointed out.
"Well, you all know I don't look like a rat, right?" He replied.
"To be fair, you don't look anything like a hedgehog so..." Ruby added.
"Hey! Are we gonna stand here or are we gonna fight him already?" Ragna impatiently told them, itching to slice his face up with his Aramasa.
"DON'T! DON'T YOU DARE FIGHT HIM!"
That was System again, this time shouting in a distressed tone, so much that the four, including Yu who remained silent throughout the conversation, turn to her in surprise. "Everyone! Please whatever you do, don't fight him! You're all way out of league against his might!"
Curious as to why System is freaking out so much, Ragna asks, "What's your deal? Why are you telling us not to fight him? I'm gonna show him who they're messing with so..."
"System's right. We must not engage him in battle."
Yu Narukami chimes in, surprisingly agreeing with System. Everyone turns to him in confusion, not expecting him that he would choose not to fight Dio. Though he appears calm, he's unnerved and afraid inside of him over Dio's presence, even if he's not showing his power to them.
"What? Why?" Hyde didn't mean to ask that but he can't help it because he took notice of his fidgeting body, possibly evident of his fear.
"I don't know! It's just that... we have to leave." Yu exclaims, keeping his eyes peeled on Dio and see if he made any moves. "Whatever you guys do, don't fight him or else... some of you will be killed!"
His blunt statement of being killed does nothing to stave off their confusion. It seems to be taking effect on Hyde and Ruby, who is having second thoughts in fighting Dio but Ragna and Sonic, while getting slowly unnerved, remains unmoved with their decision.
"Look, I don't know what's gotten into you but we have to fight Dio, whether you like or not." Ragna stated, returning to glare back at Dio. "If you don't like to join us, then stay in the sidelines. Me and Sonic will take care of him in an instant."
"Alright. You and me, Ragna! Let's go and deal with Infinite's partner!"
"Yeah! LET'S GO!"
Against Yu and System's words, Ragna and Sonic charged toward Dio and prepare their attack to be used against him. As for Dio, he remains unmoved of their actions as he says, "You two are fools. With my newfound abilities, me and Infinite will destroy all of your precious worlds and remake it in our own image! How can you not understand?"
"As if we're gonna let you and Infinite have it your way!" What Sonic says before jumping in the air together with Ragna, psyching themselves up for the attack.
Dio smirks confidently, still standing in one spot.
Thum.
Yu, Hyde and Ruby blink their eyes in confusion when suddenly, Ragna and Sonic is in front of them, landing on the ground far from Dio.
"Huh?" What the three said in unison over this bizarre turn of events.
As for Ragna and Sonic, they're sure that they were near Dio, so why are they here all of a sudden. "What the hell?" What Ragna said as he looks at the vampire.
While sharing Ragna's bewilderment, Sonic decides to try again so he quickly goes near Dio and jumps in the air, intending to use Homing Attack on his face.
Thum.
For the second time, Sonic found himself far from Dio, this time seeing himself standing on the ground when he jumped earlier.
Getting frustrated, Sonic opts to use Spin Dash, revving up before charging towards Dio at high speed.
Thum.
Once more, Sonic is in front of the group, staring at Dio, who sneers at him mockingly.
"W-What the heck? What's going on?" Now Sonic is getting unnerved over him suddenly being far from Dio without warning. "Why am I not reaching him?"
"It's more like you're not reaching him. It's about how you seem to teleport to us without warning." Ragna guesses. "Whatever ability he has, he's making sure you stay far away from him."
"...If that's the case then, I'll just use my high speed to get to him!"
"Wait Sonic! Stop going after him!"
Yu's warning fell on deaf ears as Sonic dashes toward him, only to be placed far away with the group. Undeterred, the hedgehog continues running each time, and each time he's near him, he never reaches in spite of the speed he's at.
Darn it! Why can't I get near him!? What kind of ability he has that is capable of putting me back where I started?
After three more tries, Dio is getting bored, so he announces, "I think I have enough. Playtime's over hedgehog. Let me show you who you are dealing with."
"Finally! It's about time I'm about to lay a smackdown on you!" Sonic exclaims, eager to finally land a hit on him.
"Sonic! Wait! Don't attack him!" Yu warns him again, which also fell on deaf ears as Sonic jumps in the air with an eager smile.
Just as Sonic is about to use Homing Attack, Dio declares three words against him.
"BEHOLD! THE WORLD! REQUIEM!"
What happened next shocked the four, as Sonic is suddenly blown away in the air. While that is certainly surprising, what caught their eyes is that large amount of blood spews from his torso. That is something they can't unsee the moment he is blown away.
"Huh? S-Sonic!" Ruby yells out in distress, watching Sonic fly away from the group until he hits the wall with such force he's glued to it, creating a small crater. She alongside everyone sees that the source of large amount of blood flowing from his body is an open hole of a wound on his torso. Such a sight shocked them, especially Ruby, who never thought she would see such violence especially on her friend. "W-W-What...? Is that his...wound...?"
"T-There's no doubt about it..." Hyde confirms in a fearful tone, unable to look away and stare at the poor hedgehog lodged in the wall.
"What...the hell...?" Yu cannot hide his feelings anymore when he sees Sonic be blown away in an instant, shaking from his shoes and his eyes filled with fear. He already knew Dio is someone who shouldn't be trifled with and yet, seeing it in action only amplify his fear over him. Whatever power Dio has, it possibly has to do with Sonic getting flung away to the wall.
The only person who isn't joining the three in staring with fearful eyes is Ragna, who proceeded to glare at Dio, who is smirking at the sight of the growling dhampir, knowing full well he angered him. "You...BASTARD!"
"R-Ragna-san?"
Retaliating over attacking his ally, Ragna screams in anger as he unfolds his Aramasa to its scythe form before initiating his Astral Finish against Dio. "TAKE THIS! BLACK ONSLAUGHT!" Shouted Ragna as he slices Dio multiple times. Just as he's about to finish, Ragna stopped with a shocked look, as he stares in front of him and, to his surprise and confusion, it's him standing there where Dio is supposed to be!
"W-What? I'm attacking...me?" Ragna mutters, seeing the one initiating the attack fading as he realizes he's standing with his back on the loop. The group witnessed this as well, sharing his confusion over him attacking himself. "But... how? How does Dio do this? What power does he have that makes him practically invincible? And most of all, where the hell is he!?"
"Right behind you."
Ragna hold his breath when the very presence of Dio appeared behind him, standing taller than him. He doesn't miss a chance to show his smirk, having the advantage over him.
"You're probably wondering how I avoided your attack, right? Well, to keep it short, I simply skipped time and what you saw earlier is your future self, standing with your back to me." He reveals, emitting a golden aura in anticipation of his next move.
"Skipped time? How does that work?" He asks in confusion, trying to wrap his head over the concept of skipping time.
"Does it matter you want some clarification when you already lost to me?" He stated ominously. "Lost to the might of DIo, when I do THIS!"
STAB!
Feeling something big pierced through his back, Ragna spews out blood from his mouth, pain shooting up to his body in an instant. "GWAAAGGHHH!"
"RAGNA!" RAGNA-SAN!" The three shouted in shock when they see blood from his mouth.
As if it couldn't get any worse, the bulge that is present on Ragna's torso grows bigger until an arm pops out from his wound, spewing out blood at high pressure. The Grim Reaper screams more as blood continues to come out from his mouth.
While the gruesome sight is horrifying enough, what confused Hyde and Ruby is that it looks like an invisible force stabbed through Ragna, which has the unfortunate side effect of seeing his open wound. "H-Hey. H-how did he stabbed through Ragna from the back? It looks like there's nothing indicating something of a weapon used to make a wound that big."
"Huh? What do you mean Ruby?" Yu turns to her with confused look. "There's someone else standing beside Dio. It looks like to me it's his Persona."
"Persona?" Hyde repeated. "But then, why can't I see it?"
"I... I'm not sure..."
"Oho. So you can see my Stand."
They wished they didn't get to see Ragna get gruesomely injured by Dio's hands but his statement made them look at him. They chose to ignore him out of disgust, which doesn't help when Dio's Stand removes his arm off of Ragna, letting him fall on the ground while bleeding profusely.
Wincing at the sight, the three try their best to avert their gaze to him as Dio reveals what exactly his power is, which is in the form a figure standing beside him. Through Yu's view, what he assumes to be his Persona has a headpiece covering his face that reaches through its nose and slanted upwards, red eyes with green slitted pupils, two diving cylinders held on by twin straps on its shoulders, clock faces on its chin, base of abdomen, crotch, knees and back of its hands, armor plates on its shin and shoulders, both of which are covered with red diagonal grids, and long vine wound circling around its waist along with five pink feathers.
Such a sight, as well as accounting the fact that Sonic and Ragna are easily defeated without him moving from one spot, certainly makes Yu doubt that any of the three have the chance to take him on in equal footing. Dio can see his doubts clouding his mind, so he takes advantage of it by telling them (and the struggling Ragna) his powers.
"Feast your eyes on me, for I, Dio, am superior to all of you and to anyone else across all nine worlds!" He declared bombastically. Spreading his arms wide, he continues his speech. "This is my Stand, The World Requiem, which has the ability to control time! Whether that it be stopping time, rewinding time up to six seconds, erasing time to everyone else except me, and accelerating time, there's no one else who is the better fit for such tremendous power than me!"
"Control...over time?" Yu reiterates in disbelief, now realizing just how Ragna and Sonic are unable to land a hit on him. He's actually stopping time and putting the two back to where they started! And now that he thinks about it, having an overpowered ability means that he's practically invincible because each ability serves to cover any weaknesses he may have.
If he wants to decimate opponents quickly, he can stop time. If he's on the receiving end, then rewind time. Finding himself in a bind? He skips time. And needing to go out while he has weakness over sunlight? Accelerate time until its night. Speaking of rewinding time, that could possibly explain why the group keeps passing the loop earlier. Dio is simply rewinding time back to disorientate them!
In short, these potential scenarios can be all bypassed through his control over time. Adding to the fact his Stand possesses enough strength to punch Sonic and let him fly in the air and punching through Ragna without hesitation...
Gritting his teeth, Yu tells Hyde and Ruby to stay away from Dio as far as possible, hoping Ruby's Semblance allows the two to quickly get out of Dio's way.
"Huh? But what about you?" Ruby asks out of concern. "And what about Ragna and Sonic? T-They... They need our help so-"
"Please do what I told you for your safety! Dio is unlike anything we've faced before and, I don't want to admit this but, we'll lose badly against him!" Yu, uncharacteristically, yelled at her. Realizing he may have distressed the girl, he quickly apologizes before urging the two to leave. Though having doubts, the two reluctantly did as what they were told and left the area in a flurry of petals. Hoping the two are safe, Yu glares daggers at Dio, who looks intrigued at his course of action.
"So... Considering you can see my Stand and those two can't, I'm assuming you want to take me on despite knowing that you're horribly outmatched by my Stand. Is that right, Yu Narukami?" Dio guessed.
"Yeah. I don't know if I'm gonna die or not but I don't want to see any more of my friends be attacked by your Stand." He replied, summoning Izanagi-no-Okami by his side. "So bring it, Dio! Show me what you got!"
Chuckling with a smirk, Dio says, "I admire your spirit, Yu Narukami. I would gladly give you a fight no doubt you'll lose to...if I haven't decided of who's gonna die next by the hands of my Stand..."
"What?"
Thum.
Before he can understand what he's saying, Dio disappears without any trace. It didn't take him long before he realizes who he's targeting next.
"N-No! Ruby! Hyde! Dio's after them!" Panicking, Yu considers following on their trail but he's reminded by Sonic and Ragna knocking on death's door. Looking back and forth between the two, the Wild Card is unsure of what he should do next. He needs to get Sonic and Ragna medical attention immediately but he can't leave Ruby and Hyde at Dio's hands. Such a choice is tearing him apart mentally, leading him to breath heavily from stress over the choice.
C-Calm yourself down! Y-You need to g-get a clear head! What he thought in an attempt to placate his panic, which isn't working. S-Shit! I-I...I c-c-can't do this... W-We're all gonna die here... T-There's no way we can...d-defeat Dio...
"Hey."
Flinching when a voice he's unfamiliar with is heard behind him, Yu turns around and sees a black hedgehog with red accents on his quills, arms and legs looking at him with angular eyes. Seeing his appearance shares a theme from Sonic, Yu replies, "Huh? Who are you?"
"No time for introductions. We must go after Dio before he got his hands on those two." He stated, already set on going after Dio. "With this Chaos Emerald, I can bypass his power over time. And considering you can see his Stand, I'm gonna need you to assist me."
"What? But, what about Ragna-san and Sonic-san? I-I can't just leave them here!" He stands his ground, not daring to leave his friends hanging.
"Hm? Oh yeah, they're already on the move after their wounds are healed. That doesn't mean I can't unsee such a large, gaping wound from my rival and that Grim Reaper." He casually reveals.
"Huh?"
Blinking in confusion, Yu turns around to where Ragna and Sonic are, thinking they're still suffering from their wounds only to find them nowhere in sight. The crater on the wall from the other side and the blood puddle is present to show they suffered from their wounds but now, they're gone. And this hedgehog is telling him they're fine and going after Dio? "W-What? Where are they?"
"Look, are we gonna save your friends or are you gonna stand there?" He growled, not wanting to waste any more time especially when someone else is in danger. "Just believe me when I said it, alright? Now come on."
Though still confused as hell, Yu reluctantly decides to follow him and go after Dio, hoping Hyde and Ruby are safe.
With Hyde and Ruby...
"Guess... Guess this is as far as I can go..."
Panting from overexerting herself, Ruby supports herself by leaning on a tall rock she and Hyde is hiding in. While she takes a rest from using up her Semblance, Hyde keeps his eyes peeled everywhere, even peeking from behind the rock. He hopes Dio hasn't found them and make this really hard than it already is.
Thinking they may have lost him, Hyde lets out a sigh, feeling stressed from what is happening. "Coast seems clear. Guess we might be safe at the moment Ruby."
"Y-Yeah..." She said in a quiet tone. Few seconds later, sniffles and hiccups are heard from the huntress-in-training, which is noticed immediately by the Wielder of Insulator. "R-Ruby? Are you crying?"
"H-Hyde... I'm... I'm scared." She admits, hugging her knees as she keeps crying out of fear and sadness over seeing Ragna, Sonic and possibly Yu killed by Dio's hands. "Are we... Are we gonna die here...?"
Though he hated to admit it, Hyde believes Ruby's right. He believes that they're gonna be next knocking at Death's door once Dio found them. It's not a matter of if, but a matter of when.
Still, he doesn't like seeing Ruby cry, so he chooses his words carefully to comfort her, even if just a little. "I... I don't know. Dio is powerful and it doesn't seem like he has any weaknesses we could exploit to defeat him. But, even if we're about to die, at least we have each other."
"R-Really?" She looks up, revealing her teary eyes of a sad huntress.
"Yes. Now come on, stop crying."
Though still afraid, Ruby obliges to Hyde's request and stop any more tears from leaking from her eyes. "A-Alright."
Smiling weakly, Hyde hugs the wall tightly, making sure he stays out of sight. "Good. Now, we could only wait and hope Dio lost sight of us and, if possible, our friends or someone else stop him."
"Oh, I'm afraid that won't come to pass."
Ruby and Hyde flinched when they heard the voice of Dio. In front of them.
Looking up, they see Dio stands before them menacingly with his hands on his hips. They can't see it but The World Requiem floats behind Dio, looming over them with its red eyes.
Before they can react, Dio grabs their throat and lift them up, his fingers pricking their necks. "So this is where you two weaklings are hiding? Hmph, how pathetic, just like your species."
"I would like to have some fun with you two but I'm on the clock here." Dio announces his intention to end their life right here, right now. "At least you two get to die painlessly while the Grim Reaper and blue rat suffered from being in pain. Now then, any last words?"
Struggling to breath, Hyde speak first, defiantly glaring at Dio as he says, "T-Three words... Go to hell!" While Ruby hasn't said anything, she joined in glaring Dio in spite of the imminent face of death.
Irked by his words, "You brat! Learn your place!" The World Requiem punches through his torso, earning a shriek from Ruby as she sees another one of her friends get killed the same way as Sonic and Ragna. Tossing the dying Hyde away, Dio turns his sight to Ruby, who is whimpering believing she's gonna die in the same method. "And as for you, little girl... TIME TO DIE!" He exclaims with a manic grin, commanding The World Requiem to punch through her.
"NOOOOOOOOO!" Screamed Ruby, who closes her eyes and awaited her fate.
"STAR PLATINUM: THE WORLD!"
THUUUUUUuuuummmmm...
Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick...tock...
BGM: Stardust Crusaders (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
As if fate wished to spare Ruby, time froze in place alongside Ruby and Dio. The only one who isn't frozen in time is a tall, imposing teenager wearing a hat that seems to meld with his hair. His attire makes him look like a delinquent, which isn't farther from the truth.
Glaring at Dio, the teenager could only sigh before stating, "Good freaking grief. Can't believe you're still kicking Dio. Guess I have to make sure I put you down for good, huh?" Adjusting his cap, the man says, "And if what that System said is true, then you messed with them quite enough. You truly are the lowest scum in history Dio, so I'll show you justice...with my STAND!"
Pointing his fingers, his Stand, Star Platinum, emerges from his aura before doing his signature move that utterly decimates his opponents, including Dio.
"ORA! ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! OOOOORAAAAA!"
After punching both of The World Requiem's hands, the man mutters, "And now, time will resume."
As soon as he said it, Dio felt his body and his hand get punched without stop before being blown away through the rock, breaking it and dropping Ruby in the process.
"NGGGAAAAAHHHHHH!" He screams in pain, sliding on the ground forcefully before he hits another rock.
"H-Huh? What just...happened...?" She trailed off at the end upon noticing not only she's still alive but also, the presence of a tall teenager standing with his back turned, as if protecting her. Floating in front of him is his Stand, Star Platinum, which of course isn't seen by her. Turning behind his shoulder, he asks, "You okay?"
Though wondering what really just happened, Ruby nods dumbly, even though she didn't need to since the man sees she's fine. "Good. Now then, leave Dio to everyone else. I've done my part in immobilizing him."
"Everyone else? OH NO! HYDE! Are you..." Gasping upon remembering Hyde is injured, Ruby turns to where she thought Hyde would be only to be confused when he's nowhere to be found. "...Okay? W-Where's Hyde?"
"Just wait and see." What he says cryptically, which doesn't help ease her anxiety. It wasn't until she sees the man is proven correct.
"W-What the hell...?" Barely standing up, Dio looks up and sees the unmistakable form of one Jotaro Kujo glaring him with one hell of a stink eye. "J-Jotaro! How dare you...! Of all the people, why did you appear!?"
How did he manage to attack me!? He used his own time stop, right? But, if he did, then why haven't I, Dio, been made aware when he stopped time? I have the ability to stop time too, so logically, it should allow me to move in stopped time, even if for a brief moment. So then, why haven't I acted during that time!?
As he stands up, Dio notices his bleeding hands, which led him to see The World Requiem having injured hands. His eyes widen in shock when he realizes what this means. "W-What!? This can't be!? I need The World Requiem's hands to be in top condition because I have to manually stop, rewind, erase and accelerate time! How did Jotaro figure out my one weakness!? Is it a coincidence, or did he know about it and decides to punch its hands? Whatever it is, this is unacceptable!"
Angered over being interrupted by his most hated enemy, Dio attempts to retaliate, charging at them while screaming. "YOU'LL PAY! JOTARO!"
"CHAOS...CONTROL!"
Time has stopped again, including Dio mid-run. "What? Not this again! But, wait. If Jotaro didn't stop time, then who..." His eyes widen upon remembering a third person who can manipulate time using a Chaos Emerald. Said person happens to be with Sonic, Ragna, Yu and Hyde, appearing fine and well despite already disposed of.
"Oh...crap..." What Dio said in defeat, bracing himself for the savage beatdown.
"SONIC BOOM!"
"CARNAGE SCISSORS!"
"ZIODYNE!"
"PALE BRINGER ASSAULT!"
Lastly, Shadow the Hedgehog jumps toward Dio just as time resumes to normal, who is glowing red and ready to unleash his ultimate move.
"CHAOS...BLAST!"
"AAAAAAAARRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Seared, electrified, charged at, sliced, and blasted away from them in the air, Dio could only yell out warnings to the heroes, swearing vengeance on them when he and Infinite appear to kill them all.
Once Dio is gone, Jotaro Kujo lowers the brim of his cap, relieved the fight against Dio is over, for now. Also, night turned into day since Dio isn't accelerating time anymore.
"So... I believe all of you demand an explanation as to what is going on here and how the heck Dio is alive. Care to answer that?"
"Yes. I believe it's fair considering I asked for you, JoJo" System replies, who is back to her original form back for some reason. This surprises Ruby. "Huh? System? Since when did you get your power and form back?"
"When I was lodged on the wall Ruby." Sonic reveals, rubbing his torso out of instinct and see if the wounds still there. "She can't take it seeing me, Ragna and Hyde get killed by Dio and so, through sheer willpower and overexposure to Chaos Emeralds, she transforms back to her original form and revives me, Ragna and Hyde at the last minute before we can go and teach that Dio jerk a lesson."
"Just to clarify, my powers aren't at its fullest yet." System stated. "I'm gonna need all the seven Chaos Emeralds to not only restore my full power but also, to restore all the worlds back to normal and to their right place in the multiverse."
"R-Really!?" Ruby exclaims, hopefully.
"Yes Ruby. And I assure you all that I'm not gonna mess with you ever again after learning my lesson on my previous attempt to host a tournament and collect data from your worlds and for being RWBY's pet."
Seeing a newfound hope ahead of them, Ruby smiles, before tearing up.
"R-Ruby? Why are you crying?" Hyde asks.
"Why am I crying...?" She mutters under her breath, before exclaiming, in an offended tone, "I...I just thought... I saw you all die in front of me... How come can I not cry!?" Unable to contain it, Ruby cries loudly, feeling sadness and happiness mixing up inside of her.
Realizing they made a mistake and feeling awkward over being unintentionally unempathetic, Sonic, Yu and Hyde rush to hug her, comforting and assuring her that they're still alive and will make sure Dio and Infinite will pay.
"It's okay Ruby. We're still here, alive and kicking." Sonic consoling her with his words. "We're sorry we made you see me, Ragna and Hyde get killed by Dio. But with Jotaro in our team, who personally knows Dio, our tides have turned."
"Heh. You got a point Sonic." Ragna chimes in, choosing to stand close to Ruby in lieu of a hug. "With his...what do you call it? Stand? Yes, with his Stand, we just need to keep pushing further so we can see to it Infinite and Dio are defeated."
Feeling her sadness slip away, Ruby smiles, wiping off tears before saying. "Okay. Thanks for comforting me guys. Just to let me know that I have friends that I can trust with."
"You're welcome Ruby." Yu smiles in response.
"Appreciate it." Hyde nods with a smile.
"Hey! Are we gonna stand here all day or are we gonna proceed to our next location?" Shadow reminds the group, already getting a move one alongside Jotaro and System, who shrinks herself back to a keystone held by Shadow. "System says a girl named Heart Aino is found in the next world, so get moving before anything bad will happen to her."
"Geez Shadow. So focused on our objective, huh?" Sonic sighs. "How about we introduce yourself to us and Jotaro. You haven't known of them before, right?"
"I'll introduce along the way and tell you all about what I found about Infinite and Dio, including how we need to have System override control from Infinite." He added, earning raised eyebrows from five individuals. "Just so you know, I was in Phantom World two days before Infinite and Dio proceeded with their plan and all of you and the other three are summoned here." That statement definitely tells them that Shadow must have been dealing with them long before they come into their picture.
"What?"
"Hey! Keep moving you five! We're not gonna waste any more time, ya hear me?"
As they followed suit out of instinct or fear, Jotaro could only do nothing but shake his head, believing it's gonna be a while before he can process the fact that he's selected as the "prime candidate" of his world among nine worlds by System. He thought he already seen everything during the journey to Egypt and yet, learning that multiple worlds exist means there are still things he has yet to learn.
"Good grief."
Once everyone took their leave, a blonde teenager with a weird hairstyle consisting of three loops on his head emerge from his hiding spot. Having watched the entire fight and see three out of five almost getting killed by Dio's Stand, he breaths a sigh of relief when Jotaro, Shadow and System interfere Dio, allowing them to effectively win the fight and heal any injuries.
"Good. They managed to survive against my father's Requiem Stand. I thought he's practically invincible due to his power over time. Good thing I know his weakness." Looking at the direction where the group left, he stares the yellow Chaos Emerald as he wonders on how he should properly meet them and show them that he's their ally. "I should wait until three more heroes join the group. Aside from that black hedgehog, I know how I can defeat Infinite and Dio. I just need to be patient until I go back to my world and continue with my dream."
Posing flamboyantly, he follows the group's trail, making he stays out of sight until further notice.

Another chapter done! I've been waiting to write about Dio, Jotaro and Shadow's appearance and incorporate them to the story. Aside from Shadow being my second favorite character behind Sonic, it's fine writing Dio and Jotaro, the former especially due to how cruel he can be enough to straight up kill Sonic, Ragna and Hyde through donuts...
If you want to know why me and other JoJo fans call the method donuts, think of the hole normal donuts have. Sadistic, I know, but hilariously dark.
Just like Infinite getting a power boost through his Phantom Ruby upgrading to Phantom Diamond, Dio evolves his Stand, The World, to is Requiem form. Since Requiem Stands are formed from the user's desire to accomplish their goal, I made The World Requiem have the ability to manipulate time in any way it can, coming from Dio's desire to upgrade The World to its full potential and some after barely surviving his defeat at the hands of Jotaro, as well as wanting to stay on top of the world and everything around it.
How does he manipulate time, you ask? Well aside from still able to stop time albeit without any limited seconds, it can rewind time up to six seconds like Bites the Dust and Mandom from Steel Ball Run, erase time like King Crimson (though no Epitaph) and accelerate time like Made in Heaven. Such an overpowered move is, well, overpowered enough that I had difficulty in what kind of weakness Dio should have so anyone have a fighting chance. I decided that he needs to manually manipulate time using his hands, like how The World Over Heaven needs to punch something in order to overwrite reality. That way, any damage done to his hand or The World Requiem's hand makes it unable to manipulate time for a brief period. While he can still stop time like normal, it returns to its nine second limit if his right hand is damaged.
With System getting her original form and power back using Chaos Emeralds, Shadow and Jotaro joining the party and an unknown character looking to join up with the party, the final fight between the heroes and Infinite and Dio will happen soon after three or maybe four chapters worth of recruiting Heart, Yumi and Akatsuki back. I intended this fanfic to last shortly so, hope you have a good time reading every chapter and read any hints and foreshadowing hidden in some parts.
