Chapter 2
Reyna POV.
The Greeks were coming. What if one of them was Percy's girlfriend?
No. No. I already knew Jason was with Piper. I must get Percy.
"We are at war!" Other part of me screamed.
"Venus said that no one would love me!" The voice continued.
"I don't care! Percy is a true hero! Percy is similar to me. Percy is kind and…sweet sometimes. I need to get what I want. I am a daughter of Bellona! What if Percy did not have a girlfriend yet?" My mind argued.
Before I could think more, a reporter came in.
"Praetor Reyna! Enemies shot Greek Fire outside!" He shouted.
"Where's Praetor Percy!" I demanded.
"We don't know! He's gone!"
Gone?! No!
I grabbed my weapon and charged out.
Fireballs were shooting into the sky and towards Camp Jupiter.
"Lock shields!" I commanded.
The cohorts followed.
Oh, except Henry Jones, the centurion of Third Cohort.
"No need, Praetor Reyna. My mistress will soon come. Rome is doomed today!" The son of Mars snarled. He raised his spear and lunged towards me.
I could not believe it. Henry, a spy?
The evil centurion grinned. His spear pointed at my throat.
"Why?" I asked him.
"Because Gaea gave me power. I am the centurion. Not the praetor. When Jason Grace disappeared, I hoped I would be raised to praetor, but no! That Jackson took my place. Now, he is not here. No one can save you!"
"Where's Percy?!" I demanded.
"I have no idea." Said Henry, "maybe Gaea took him? I don't know. He just isn't here! Maybe the Fates want you to die?"
"Why didn't you kill me when we fought Polybotes?"
"You have too many questions! Anyway, you will die today. Okay, just tell you. I need to see the true power of Jackson before I do anything else. That's why. No, face your death!"
He raised the spear for the kill.
"THAT'S IT!" A voice boomed across the battlefield. Percy's voice.
Henry stopped and turned.
"Jackson, you are late. Rome will fall today. See? Fireballs. They will swallow you whole!" The traitor growled.
"Oh, yes. Before that happens, let them swallow you first." My co-praetor raised his hand.
A huge fireball was shot into the sky. Then, it landed right on Henry's head. The traitor did not even have the time to process what happened.
The fireballs stopped coming.
"Legion! This is not war. This is just a type of training, to see how well you will react in this situation. Thankfully, we dispelled a traitor, a spy of Gaea! Senatus Populusque Romanus!" Percy shouted.
The legion was shocked at first. Then, they cheered.
"Legion dismissed. Go back to your daily activities." Wow, Percy was really a wonderful leader.
Percy rushed to me.
"Any injuries?" He asked, concerned.
"Thankfully, no. If you ever do this again without telling me, then…" I left the sentence unfinished.
Percy just nodded.
"Interesting? Funny?" He asked.
"How can you get the fireball machine?" I asked.
"Tyson built it. He is a great builder. The machine was built a year ago. I just moved it here. Now, you want to rest? We only have three days left. We need to be as prepared as we can."
I nodded.
So, what about this chapter? Shocked? Percy OOC? Well, Percy is not the smartest nor the most stupid. Review, please.
