Chapter 4
Reyna POV.
The Greeks had landed on the Field of Mars.
"Graeci!" Terminus cursed angrily.
"Romans, attack the Greeks!" Octavian tried. Gods, I really hated him.
"Centurion Octavian, behave!" Shouted Percy. Octavian silenced himself.
The Greeks came out.
I repeated their names in my mind.
Jason Grace, Piper McLean, Leo Valdez, Gleeson Hedge, and finally…Annabeth Chase.
I stared at the blonde.
She blinked. Then, she stared back.
Okay. Better welcome them first.
"Welcome to Camp Jupiter. We finally know each other's existence. I'm Reyna, this is Percy Jackson as you already knew. We are the praetors of the Twelfth Legion. And you too, Jason. Now, we have three praetors." I said calmly.
"Ave! Percy Jackson! Hero of Olympus!" The faun Hedge shouted.
"Welcome, Gleeson." Replied Percy, "I met a lot of wonderful people here."
"Ah! You know, the Stolls were going to impress you by stealing Jake's sword. But you just disappeared! Boring!" Said Hedge.
Percy laughed.
"Oh! I can imagine their faces. Travis and Connor bring us fun. I miss them too."
"Now," The son of Poseidon said, "Jason, I heard a lot about you there. Welcome home."
"Percy, you are a hero too. Nice to meet you." The son of Jupiter replied. They shook hands.
Suddenly, my eyes widened.
I saw that.
The blonde girl rushed towards Percy. My Percy.
Percy stepped back.
Some legionnaires drew their weapons.
"What the Hades! You don't remember me, Percy?" Asked Annabeth Chase.
"I…I…" Percy struggled.
I knew why he couldn't say it himself. His fatal flaw was loyalty. Even though he knew what was right, he could not do it.
He turned to me. Oh, gods.
"Umm…well, we eat first. After that, you can exchange your stories." I decided.
The Greeks except Annabeth nodded.
Octavian did not seem happy.
"Perseus Jackson, I know you remember me. What happened? Tell me!" Annabeth's face was now red with anger.
Piper and Leo looked at Percy with expectation.
Not Jason, of course.
Jason must sense something.
"I…umm…of course I remember. My memory is back…I just don't have that feeling anymore. Sorry." Percy said.
"Why?" Annabeth tried again.
"Because!"
"I see. It's that Reyna girl!" Annabeth roared and lunged at me.
"STOP!" Percy roared. A ton of water was shot towards the daughter of Athena and knocked her out.
"Annabeth Chase betrayed demigods. She has probably already sided with Gaea. Arrest her and throw her into a cell. We don't need her." Percy said calmly. Why did he sound so cruel?
Suddenly, the earth rose up and dragged Annabeth inside.
"That's it. She is on Gaea's side. Twelfth Legion, capture Traitor Chase. If the situation is not very good, kill her immediately without reporting. Clear?" My co-praetor continued.
Octavian smiled.
"Of course, Praetor. You are a true Roman."
Percy tossed a golden drachma into the rainbow in the sky.
"O Iris, show me all the demigods at Camp Half-Blood. They should be in the mess hall. A meeting has started." He said.
All Greeks looked up.
"Campers, emergency. Annabeth Chase, head counsellor of Athena Cabin, has just betrayed the world by siding with Gaea. My order, kill her immediately if you see her, no sympathy. She betrayed everyone."
The Greeks were shocked at first. Then, they nodded.
"Yes, Percy." They said at once without hesitation.
Wow, they really trusted Percy.
"Percy, it's not my idea nor the Athena Cabin. I did not know that Chase would do such a thing. You must have broken. I'm sorry." A boy said miserably.
"It's alright, Malcolm. You are the counsellor now. Prepare for war. Chase's betrayal did not affect me that much. A spy is a spy. No sympathy. I had already fallen out of love with her. I won't blame any of you on this event. You are my family. Bye for now." Percy slashed through the rainbow and the image disappeared.
Some people may ask that if Percy were controlled by an eidolon, my answer is no. This is the real Percy Jackson. Why did he do such an evil thing? You will know in the next chapter. He never betrayed his family. Some sacrifices need to be made. Review please and thank you! I did not receive any reviews recently.
