My coin grew hot in the pocket of my jeans as I stood in the Gryffindor stands cheering for Ron in the game against Ravenclaw. I heard the chants of Weasley is Our King and no, the irony wasn't lost on me. I felt conflicted everyday. Here I was snogging someone who was supposed to be my sworn enemy and I was lying to everyone. It was growing harder and harder to face them.
I slipped from the stands and made my way across the field. I walked past the quidditch shed and saw an arm shoot out and grab me. I was ungracefully pushed against the door of the shed and before I could register anything a pair of lips were pressed intensely against mine. Why was snogging him this good? Why did I feel this way when his hands gripped my waist and his lips touched mine, kissing me fervently as though he needed this to survive?
"I couldn't even concentrate on the game. Not that it was that exciting anyway." Malfoy murmured against my lips and pulled me tighter towards him.
"Hermione?" a voice, Ron's voice called out. Was the game done already? Quick, think of a good excuse for kissing Malfoy. No, there is no way to spin this situation. I pushed Malfoy off and opened the door to the shed. I pulled at his sweater and pushed him inside.
"Sorry." I said before pushing him in, ignoring the look of protest on his face. Well I was going to pay for that one later.
I closed the door and spun around just in time to see Ron coming around the corner.
"We won!" He exclaimed brightly. I flung my arms around his neck and he pulled me into a hug and picked me up.
"That's so great Ron!"
"Yes it was so good, I can't wait to tell Harry. What are you doing down here?"
"Oh well I just needed to check something for Harry, but it's there so, I will meet you back up in the common room okay." I said quickly. I gave his arm a squeeze as I walked past him rapidly and made my way back to the castle. I made it about halfway back before he appeared beside me, matching my strides.
"So how does it feel lying to your friends?" Malfoy asked, coming out of Merlin knows where.
"Terrible," I replied, walking faster, he was matching my pace in the most irritating way, "it feels terrible Malfoy. There is no need to rub it in. This is by far the stupidest thing I've ever done."
"You have a lot to choose from. Your Gryffindor hero-complex gets you into a lot of stupid situations." He countered.
"Go away Malfoy, before someone sees you." I was beyond irritated now and he knew. Merlin help him if he continued to edge me on.
"Read my mind Granger." He sneered at me. What was he so angry about?

"Where is it?" I muttered to myself as I stood on my toes to try and see one of the upper shelves in the library. I was a section over from the Restricted Section, at the back of the library. I just needed to find a particular book on prophecies. Something had came into my mind when I was working on my charms essay and even though I loathe all things Divination, I decided to attend to the nagging thought in my head.
"Are you talking to the books now Granger?" a sarcastic voice asked. He leaned against the front shelf of the row, arms crossed. He was wearing his Slytherin uniform without his robes. His hair was growing long, I noticed, I'm sure Umbridge had a rule about that. His face was giving me a sneering look, a look of distaste. It seemed our hate/love...no not love...infatuation? Whatever. It seemed that we were back to mutual disdain for one another.
"I don't have time for you today Malfoy." I told him not facing him at all. I reached up to try and grab a book, "In fact, I think the event that happened yesterday was the glaring reminder that I needed of this insanity you started. Ugh." I couldn't quite reach the book. I stepped onto the lowest shelf.
A hand reached in front of me and grabbed the book I wanted down from the shelf, "That I started?" Malfoy queried, holding the book out to me.
I scoffed at him and aggressively grabbed the book holding it tightly to my chest. "Yes. You got into my head and started this whole thing which is just so ridiculous." I looked out the window, I could feel my cheeks turning red, from anger and I didn't want to get another detention for shouting in the library.
"Like you really resisted me?" Malfoy took a step closer to me.
"Yes well, I was confused before, but now, well this is me resisting you. Kindly let me be and go back to being the bully." I tried to walk away but he blocked me. I glared at him.
"Granger, I am having a hard time believing you." He was coming towards me, forcing me to back up against the window.
"Why? Why me?"
"I already told you." He said quietly.
"Not really. So you have thoughts about me, you're smart, figure out how to banish them."
"Do you remember the Yule Ball?" He asked, closing in on me. I gripped the book tighter.
"Yes, of course."
"I saw you walking down the steps and I instantly regretted every horrible thing I had ever said to you."
I rolled my eyes. "So you saw a girl in a pretty dress and changed your mind? Spare me the cliches."
"I'm not lying Granger."
"I'm not buying it, Malfoy. This whole thing is just so ridiculous, there are-"
He kissed me, wrapping his arms around me and pressing me close. My body betrayed me and I kissed him back just as passionately. He took the book from my hands and put it on the window ledge behind me. I wrapped my arms around his neck.
I pulled back as a thought entered my head, "Your father works at the Ministry right?"
He groaned deeply and placed his head on my shoulder muttering words that I could barely make out 'bloody', 'witch', 'brain', 'merlin'.
"No talking about our personal lives alright." He said agitated. "I don't ask you about Potter or Weasley." I must have had a look of defiance on my face as I started to struggle out of his arms. He sighed and gave me a pleading look "Can we make it a rule?", more glaring, "Please?"
I sighed and nodded. It was for the best. This was all going to go up in flames anyway. He kissed me again, he stopped for a moment, eyes closed, lips just touching mine "Just tell me if it was Krum or Weasley. If you say Potter I'll leave."
"What?" I asked confused. He murmured an incoherent noise as he dropped his head onto my shoulder again. "Oh that." I responded teasingly when it all clicked in my head. Poor jealous boy. "Have you been thinking about that since last week?"
"It's been a rather annoying thought that has burrowed its way into my head."
I laughed gently, "It was Krum."
"Thank Merlin." he replied and looked at me grinning, "I don't have to see him at this school." He shrugged when I looked at him with a questioning look in my eyes.
"Malfoy, are you jealous?"
"What about me makes you think I'm above jealousy?" He responded with utmost seriousness. I laughed.
"Okay well you tell me now"
"Ugh, you're not going to like this." He cautioned. "First kiss was with someone who doesn't go here, her name was Melinda. Then Pansy and then Daphne."
"Well that is not very surprising." I said.
"Okay I'm done with talking now-" and he leaned in to capture my mouth with his, blocking out all other thoughts I could possibly have.

This one was quick. I am not really adding in extra conversations these characters have with others because, well, we know what happens lol. I will gradually start to add in more conversations as I change the events of the original story. For the most past 5th year stays pretty much the same as in the books/movies. Let me know what you think! There will probably be two more chapters for their 5th year and then we get to move on to the oh so dramatic 6th year. This chapter is rather short, I know, I just wanted a little fluff piece. The next two chapters will be longer.
