Chapter 6
Megatron snarled as he faced an annoyed weapon's specialist, Ironhide glared right back at the evil tyrant.
"Do not touch my leader and Prime's mate, you piece of slag!" Ironhide ordered as his cannons whirled to life.
"Ironhide…?" Mikaela whispered in shock.
"Get what you need to, Mikaela; I've got this." Ironhide ordered as human tanks let loose as well and Mikaela ran as fast as she could to the place where the Matrix was hidden.
She saw Alpha Trion standing there in his holoform; as he urged Mikaela to hurry.
"Hurry Mikaela," he urged as he opened an area for her to scramble inside and get the Matrix of Leadership.
Mikaela saw the Matrix and looked over toward Alpha Trion; her eyes pleading with him.
"When Sam got it, it fell apart." she said.
"It won't fall apart, you have my word. Now hurry, Mikaela!" Alpha Trion exclaimed as Mikaela reached down and wrapped her fingers around the Matrix.
She felt strange when she did; as electricity whirled and swirled all around her body. She went to open her mouth; but she could only moan as her body became supercharged with energy from the Matrix of Leadership.
"Mikaela, it's alright you will be fine; but you must hurry to Optimus Prime and shove the Matrix into his spark chamber when his spark is." Alpha Trion urged as she nodded slowly and got up and hurried for her mate.
She climbed onto Optimus, and she slammed the Matrix with a shriek into his spark chamber.
"Come on, baby; come back home to me!" she ordered as she hurried his powerful engines rev hard and loud.
He onlined those gorgeous cerulean optics of his; and he choked from the sand in his intakes. His optics looked with her eyes; and he smiled.
"Mine….." was all he said as his body powered up and glowed and his armor changed and reformatted itself.
He almost had a Knightish look to him now; and it turned Mikaela on completely. She watched as he stood and smiled at her.
"I shall return, dear spark; I will deal with the fallen." Optimus said as he took off being able to fly using jet powered things on his legs.
They watched as Optimus battled the fallen; and they saw how brutal Optimus had to be.
"You picked the wrong planet; now give me your face." Optimus snarled as he beheaded the fallen and suddenly reached in and removed his spark chamber crushing it in his bare hands. "Now I rise and YOU fall." Optimus growled as Megatron charged Optimus his sword out.
"I will kill you for this, Prime!" Megatron yelled as he ran toward Optimus aiming to behead his brother for killing the fallen.
"You should have stayed my brother and not changed like this, Megatron; but I see you will never change." Optimus said as Megatron's optics widened and then narrowed into slits.
Optimus was quicker, and his energon sword sliced into Megatron's spark chamber extinguishing his life force forever.
"I am sorry, brother; but you gave me no choice." Optimus mumbled as he watched the lifeless body fall.
Optimus could hear the battle behind him; and his Autobots and the humans were winning as the Decepticons were all defeated. He walked up toward Mikaela his optics widened as he was greeted with his beloved lying on the ground… not breathing!

Optimus stared at his human with disbelief in his optics; no this was not possible he thought to himself, she bring him back only to perish herself? He wouldn't allow it, he would somehow save her.
"Someone please help her!" Optimus bellowed in emotional pain.
Ratchet set up a quick emergency medical bay; but he needed his tools at the base. So, they quickly were flown back to the Autobot/NEST headquarters; and Optimus in holoform paced back and forth in worry for his mate.
Once they arrived at the base, Ratchet wasted no time in taking care of his leader and Prime's mate.
"What's wrong with her, Ratchet; will she be alright?" Optimus asked urgently.
"Optimus, come with me we need to talk about something," Ratchet said.
"Will she be alright to leave alone?" Optimus asked him.
"Yes, don't worry; now come along with me." Ratchet said as he and Optimus headed to his office.

Meanwhile Mikaela slowly woke up, her body on fire as she glanced around.
"Where is everyone?" she asked as she could tell they were back at the Autobot/NEST base.
She slowly got off of the medical bed for humans; and proceeded to head out into the other part of the base to find Optimus. She wasn't sure why she hurt so badly; it felt like her body was on fire.
She wrapped her arms around her body; and a frown crossed her beautiful face. She felt sick too; and she wasn't sure why? It was a bit weird to her as to why she felt sick; and why she hurt so badly.
She knew she felt weird handling the Matrix; but she didn't understand why. Sam didn't experience that or at least he never told anyone that he did. She sighed, and then decided to go outside for awhile to find Optimus and Ratchet. Maybe Ratchet could give her something for her stomachache; she sure as hell hoped so.
She glanced around outside, and she saw some of the Autobots in vehicle mode. She didn't see her bot and she didn't see Ratchet.
Oh great…
Mikaela walked out on shaky legs, she glanced around, and when she saw several vehicles pull up and she watched them transform into bi pedal form. She saw they were four very beautiful fembots. They headed inside of Autobot headquarters as Mikaela turned and headed inside. Ironhide stared at the four fembots, but mostly the blue one.
"Chromia, Firestar, Moonracer and Elita one, you're alive." Ironhide said surprised.
"We were able to escape being extinguished, but that's not why we're here. We got word Optimus was killed in battle, please tell me it's not true, Ironhide." Elita one asked in an urgent tone as Mikaela found her just a bit too gushy over Optimus not to ask why and who she was.
"Who are you?" Mikaela asked walking up.
"I'm Elita -1 and you are?" She asked in a sarcastic tone.
"I'm Mikaela and I'm Optimus Prime's…." She started to say until Ironhide cut her off shocking her.
"Prime is alive and well; I think he is with Ratchet in his office." Ironhide said as he saw the hurt expression on Mikaela's face and regretted interrupting her instantly.
"We have a lot to catch up on when he gets back." Elita said as Mikaela bristled and got into Elita's face.
"Don't bet on it, Elita; I am his mate and he'll come to me first." Mikaela said with a sneer as Mudflap and Skids walked up.
"What's going on?" Skids asked.
"Fembot fight I think it best we stay out of it." Mudflap said.
"I agree with you."Skids said after studying the situation.
Elita was a sleek and sexy pink and white femme with long metal legs and a small metal waist.
"Don't YOU bet on it, we have a colorful past and Prime will come to me first not you that I can promise you, Mikaela." She said as Moonracer, Chromia and Firestar approached Mikaela quickly.
"You may want to back off, little human girl before you make Elita angry." Chromia said as she couldn't believe Ironhide wouldn't come to her defense what was his problem or any of the other Autobots for that matter.
"You may think you're his mate but Elita will always be number one." Firestar said as they all heard rather then saw something behind them.
There standing with Ratchet was Optimus Prime who was staring not at Mikaela but Elita one!
"Elita…you're alive?" He asked as she smiled and took his hand and walked away from the others leaving Mikaela very hurt.
"Told you, Mikaela, is it? You don't stand a chance with Optimus with Elita-1 back in his life." Moonracer said snidely as then Chromia and Firestar went off by themselves.
Mikaela realized something Optimus lied to her they all did. She wasn't his first love not by a long shot. She watched as they disappeared outside and felt tears fall down her face as Moonracer stood back alarmed seeing the wetness in Mikaela's eyes. Mikaela could feel her world spiraling out of control as her whole world started to crumble to the ground.
Why the hell was she brought here for a chance only to have it be destroyed? Was this Alpha Trion's idea of some twisted Cybertronian joke?
"What's wrong with her why are her eyes all wet?" Moonracer asked as Arcee looked at Mikaela feeling bad for her.
"They are tears." Mikaela whispered.
Mikaela glanced over at Ratchet and Ironhide knowing they knew the truth and kept it from her because of Optimus.
"Why didn't he tell me?" She whispered. "There isn't supposed to be any secrets in a relationship based on love and trust." Mikaela said as Moonracer scoffed at Mikaela then.
"Everyone thought she and her group she commanded were destroyed in an explosion." Ratchet said. "Prime was devastated by the thought she had been killed." Ratchet said.
"So, why wasn't she his spark mate then?" Mikaela asked.
"How do you know she wasn't, human?" Moonracer demanded snidely as Mikaela felt her heart sink with pain.
"So, I wasn't his first all those things he pretended to feel were all faked he felt them before for her." She said. "I want the whole story, Ratchet," She said as he shook his head.
"Prime should tell you himself not us." Ratchet said.
"Oh please, just get over yourself. You need to save yourself the embarrassment Elita will win when it comes to Optimus Prime and no one else." Moonracer said as Mikaela glanced at the Autobots and realized everything Moonracer said was true they all lied because of Prime.
She would never know if they were telling her the truth now; because Prime was their leader and they would always protect him to the point of lying for him.
Ironhide and Ratchet saw the hurt in her eyes and both regretted doing this to Mikaela but it wasn't their place to tell Mikaela about Elita -1 it was Prime's.
"He didn't tell me before what makes you think he'll tell me now?" She demanded as she realized something for the first time maybe Elita-1 did come first not her.
Optimus went to Elita-1 first not her so it was obvious she no longer held any sort of emotions with him. "It doesn't matter forget I even asked." Mikaela said.
"That's right, little human Optimus Prime belongs to Elita-1 not you." Moonracer said cruelly as Mikaela took off back to her apartment with Wheelie and the newest edition Brains hot on her trail realizing where she was going.
Mikaela turned to find Wheelie and Brains coming in behind her; and allowed them to come inside with her.
Wheelie and Brains both noticed the defeated look about Mikaela and wondered what had happened to cause that; since they hadn't seen the whole exchange between Elita-1 and her femme bots with Mikaela.
Mikaela sank to the floor; as tears hit her making her just sob harder.
"H-He never loved me; it was just some game to him." Mikaela cried.
"Hey warrior goddess, I believe Optimus loves ya." Wheelie said.
"Yeah me too," Brains said.
"Prime is alive because of ya, he loves ya not her you will see." Wheelie told Mikaela.
Mikaela was silent then, she was hurt so badly.
"I want answers to questions that no one will tell me the answers to." Mikaela said.
"An ya want us ta help ya?" Wheelie asked.
"Yes, I need to know the truth and I know you might be able to help me you were with the Decepticons before; so you have to know all the Autobots, right?" she asked as they both nodded. "Please help me." She said softly as Wheelie and Brains suddenly wanted to know what had this great warrior and mate of Optimus Prime's so upset.
"If we can answer ya questions we will go ahead and ask." Wheelie said as she nodded.
"Who is Elita-1 to Optimus?" Mikaela asked as all two ex-Decepticons heard the pain in Mikaela's voice.
"Elita -1….I haven't heard that name in a long time." Wheelie said.
"No one will tell me the truth." She whispered. "I need to know please Wheelie tell me." She said as Wheelie narrowed his optics at her not liking her sob like that; she was so tough before but now she was heartbroken.
"K, I will tell ya who she is," He said pausing. "Elita-1 is the leader of a small group of fembots she and Optimus were together romantically. It started a million years ago, she was just a civilian robot named Ariel. She and a dock worker named Orion Pax were romantically together." Wheelie said as he saw the confused expression on Mikaela's face. "Orion Pax was upgraded to Optimus Prime when Megatron had a group of Decepticons attack the energy storage hangar where Orion Pax worked. Ariel and Orion Pax were killed and the aerial bots took them to Alpha Trion. He reconstructed both and they became Optimus Prime and Elita-1 two Autobot leaders' very important leaders. But their romance became stronger and as advised by Alpha Trion she led a small group of fembots to fight for Cybertron. Elita ne was captured by shockwave and used as bait to lure Optimus into a battle to the death. Well actually not so much a battle as a deadly trap. It worked too and they almost had him but Elita -1 has a very rare and powerful weapon. This weapon can temporarily halt the flow of time within its radius of effect. However it drains her of her life force and one of the things that can save her is a power transfer from Optimus. He has a compatible power system to hers." Wheelie said as a very truly hurt and disillusioned Mikaela just slid back to the floor in her apartment in tears as she had no choice but to believe the truth now Optimus Prime deceived her and so did the other Autobots.
They made her believe she was special but she wasn't not really; and this proved it she was just a little nobody compared to Elita-1. She was just a human who wouldn't live a long life compared to this Elita-1, why would he choose her over Elita-1?
She was mad at herself for ever thinking she could be with Optimus Prime in the first place; and she was mad at Alpha Trion he brought her here for a fleeting chance with Optimus.
Wheelie and Brains eyed her sadly; because they could sense she was hurting from this.
"He lied to me they all did I wasn't special to him I never was." Mikaela said as Brains regarded her oddly.
Wheelie and Brains never understood love especially when pain was the ultimate ending of it always. It seemed to them Mikaela was hurt a lot in this relationship and they wondered why she even bothered being with Optimus Prime. They wondered if she would have the good sense to leave him and the Autobots; or if she would give him another chance. However something in her tone and actions told them she might not this time.
Mikaela sobbed harder; as she glanced up her heart pushing her now. She had to leave the Autobots and Optimus now; she couldn't stay here knowing they all felt she was not worth anything.
"I asked for answers and you gave them to me. I just didn't want to believe he could hurt me so badly I thought I was his true love and here he had another love all along." Mikaela said as Wheelie clenched and unclenched his metal fingers.
Mikaela got to her feet and looked down at the 2 minibots. "Thank you for being honest with me, guys." She said as they merely nodded at her. "I am leaving here, I don't belong here now." she said.
"Warrior goddess, can we come too?" Wheelie asked as she wiped her eyes and smiled sadly at them.
"Let's go, guys." Mikaela said sadly as she started to pack what she could from her clothes into a duffle bag.
She decided to write both Optimus and Elita-1 letters not that it should have mattered but she did anyone.
She went to find Optimus. Once she found them Mikaela caught them in a sultry embrace and kissing. Mikaela felt a sudden urge to die inside as she saw them kissing. Wheelie and Brains tried to catch her but she was quicker and raced for the Autobot headquarters having heard and seen enough.
(Where Elita-1 and Optimus still were)
"So, exactly who is this Mikaela Witwicky, Optimus?" Elita asked him.
"I love her deeply Elita she's done things for me no one else could. I have stronger emotions and humanity and she taught me love making. There is something else she is carrying my sparkling; Ratchet told me privately and she is also turning into a Cybertronian. She needs to be checked after while she goes through the transformation; but that is not all Cybertron will be reborn with this." He said showing her the seed an object his ancestors gave him.
"What….that's not possible only the Allspark grants life." She said in a shocked tone. "Cybertron, our home is going to be reborn?" she asked shocked once more.
"It is possible and yes she's my whole life now, but you will always be my first love, Elita. She is and always will be my love now regardless of our past together and you need to accept that." Optimus said.
However Optimus might not have that chance he wanted; because at that moment Mikaela was planning on leaving his life forever.

Mikaela finally realized as she breezed past Ratchet that she was truly out of place here now that Elita-1 was back in Prime's life. She didn't belong here now he went to her so quickly when he came out with Ratchet. It was obvious she was now second best if she was even that now. Mikaela started packing more into the duffle bags just as Ratchet silently walked in seeing her packing. Ratchet realized why she wanted to leave and went to Ironhide to have him help him stop her.
"Why would she leave us for I thought we were her family and why would she leave Optimus for?" Ironhide asked.
"Why do you think we all lied to her including Optimus she feels betrayed by her family and her one true love." Ratchet said as he and Ironhide stopped dead in their tracks at seeing she was already gone.
"We're too late." Ironhide said.
Ratchet found two letters one addressed to Optimus and one to Elita one as well as her special ring Optimus made her with his metals. Ratchet shook his head as he realized things were quickly escalating out of control now. All thanks to their lies and Elita-1's return.
"We need to find Optimus and fast." Ratchet said.
"I'm right here, what's wrong?" Optimus asked as Ratchet handed one letter to Optimus and the other to Elita one.
Optimus frowned as he read the letter that slowly left him paralyzed with fear and horror; as he realized he had hurt Mikaela to the point where she figured she wasn't wanted anymore.
Optimus,
You managed to keep your past hidden from me with the help of the other Autobots. You know who told me what I needed to know…the minibots. They knew I needed the truth; but at least they were honest with me which is more then I say for you and the other Autobots. I can't ever trust you or the Autobots ever again. I was brought here by Alpha Trion but all this was some cruel joke; all I wanted was a chance with you that was all I wanted. So, it's obvious where your loyalties lay. So I am leaving Optimus, you want Elita-1 so keep her I am done with you and being an Autobot. Don't try to find me, Prime I mean it.
Mikaela Witwicky
Prime picked up the ring he had created for her; and his engines sputtered as energon dripped from his optics. All Prime's emotions hit him at once and he dropped to the floor sobs hit his frame; what had he done?
Elita-1 read her own letter and suddenly realized she had just broken up something very special.
Elita -1,
No one told me about you they made me believe I was the special one in Optimus' life. So, I had no reason to doubt that until now that is. It's obvious he loves you more than he could ever love me I won't stand in your way. He forgot about me and went running to you when he saw you; so you win Elita he's yours.
Mikaela Witwicky
Elita looked at Prime and saw for herself Optimus was sobbing; and she could feel his pain and guilt hit her now. She felt a pinch of regret now as she realized Prime was truly upset by this.
"Prime, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to come here and cause problems." She said.
"We need to find her, Optimus; if those changes kick in without me being able to help her body into the change it could destroy her." Ratchet said urgently.
"I don't think she cares, Ratchet; she thinks I am replacing her." Elita said as Moonracer felt bad for all the bad things she had said to Mikaela now.
"I wasn't very nice to her either, Elita." Moonracer said as Optimus merely shook his head and wanted to strangle these jealous fembots for ganging up on his mate.
He was no better though not sitting Mikaela down and explaining to her his past was wrong and now he had blown it. He thought he had mentioned Elita-1 briefly to her; but he guessed not in her response to everything now.
"I love her she gave me my humanity, my true emotions, the lovemaking and the fact she is carrying my sparkling. She did all that for me and our race. Then what do I go and do hurt her to the point where she leaves the safety of her home to wander the streets alone." He said as he crumpled the letter in his metal hand rising to his foot pedes.
"This is my fault, Prime." Elita said. "Please let me help find her." Elita said as he nodded.
Suddenly the huge Autobot leader dropped to his knees once more; as pain ripped all through his spark as he realized it was Mikaela's pain he was feeling.
"Mikaela…..hold on I'm coming." Prime whispered trying to get a lock on her position.
Once he got it they all transformed and rolled out to find Mikaela and set things right. All Prime could think of was could he be too late would she give him another chance to make things right or would she tell him it was too late.
"Please little one…..give me another chance. I swear I will never keep things from you, I promise." He whispered to himself.
