The Girl Over The Cliff
As they went sprawling on the ground, Percy and Bianca let out a scream. Thalia and Nico quickly took out their weapons and charged at Dr. Thorn. Nico swung his sword and was met with Dr. Thorn's tail. Thalia appeared by Thorn's right side and lunged forward with her spear and shield. Thorn quickly deflected the spear and landed a blow on her shield, making her be knocked back a few feet. Bianca quickly grabbed Percy and covered his eyes, not wanting him to see what she was seeing. Percy slowly took her hands off his eyes, and his eyes widened at the sight he was seeing. There were people fighting with swords and shields. He could see the man that took him and Bianca away look like a monster. The boy with the sword swung his weapon to the right side of Dr. Thorn, but was swatted away and landed next to the girl with the shield.
The blond girl that had tackled them charged at the monster and swung a small knife at the monster. Thorn quickly whipped his tail and a volley of spikes were launched into the air. The blond girl ducked a spike that headed to her, and the other two demigods covered themselves with a shield. Luckily, Percy and Bianca were far away from the fight and did not get hit with any of the spikes. The girl with the black spiky hair threw her spear at the monster, only serving as a distraction for a moment. The blond girl quickly slashed Dr. Thorn's arm, making him roar in furry. Bianca and Percy quickly moved further away from the fight in shock at the large monster that had replaced Dr. Thorn. "The Manticore! Be careful!" The blond girl shouted, and Percy let out an excited gasp. "Who are you people? What is that thing?" Bianca asked but was ignored by the other demigods.
The Manticore could hear the helicopter's blade and started fighting harder. It swatted away the three demigods, making the blond girl fall into Bianca and cause her to hit her head hard on the ground. Bianca let out a pained groan and saw the manticore slowly make its way to them. Percy's eyes widened at hearing Bianca in pain and quickly stood in front of his sister and the stranger. "Stay away from my sister, monster," he said, and the manticore let out a laugh. "What can a pathetic demigod like you do. Especially a child of death that isn't trained. You can't do nothing," The manticore said as it neared them. Percy took a step back, but threw a look at his sister. The manticore quickly delivered a kick to Percy's small body, making him fall to his knees. He painfully stood up and wiped the tears away from his eyes. "Stay away from us. We did nothing wrong!" He shouted but was only met with laughter. "Don't you see? It's hopeless." The manticore raised a paw into the air, ready to strike his prey, but stopped as a hunting horn was blared out.
Thorn quickly stepped back and looked into the woods. "Impossible! It can't be-" A glowing silver arrow slammed into his shoulder, making Thorn stagger back and clutch his wound. Percy quickly looked at his sister and noticed her awaken, along with the blond girl. The blond girl held a finger to her lips and took out her knife. The manticore flung his spikes into the woods, but was met with a volley of silver arrows. A dozen of girls, dressed in silver, stepped out of the woods, and Percy heard the black haired girl with the shield say Hunters.
A lone girl stepped forward, bow ready and was glaring at the manticore. She had a silver circlet braided into her hair and looked dangerous and serious. "Permission to kill, my lady?" The girl announced to the hunt and
a young girl stepped out of the hunt. Her auburn hair and silver eyes glared dangerously at the manticore.
"Direct interference! This is against the Ancient Laws," Thorn shouted, and the girl with the auburn hair spoke. "The hunting of all wild beasts is within my domain.And you, foul creature, are a wild beast. Zoe, permission granted." Thorn let out a growl and turned to the Di Angelos. "If I cannot have these alive, then I shall have them dead!" Percy eyes widened and the blond girl quickly jumped on the manticore's back, stabbing her knife into him. The manticore started to buck and twist and was soon attacked with silver arrows. "This isn't the end, Huntress. You will pay!" Thorn staggered back and the only thing the demigods could do was watch as he jumped of the cliff with with blond girl holding on her knife.
