DC Superhero Girl and Boys: Level Up
Chapter 1

In a place called Lexcorp a bald teen named Lex Luthor turned around in his chair, looking at a tablet.Lex: OH, hello Metropolis, I'm Lex Luthor.
He then got up from his seat and continued on talking as he walked to some green VR glasses.
Lex: When I first started Lexcorp, I didn't start out trying to create an international corporate empire, that'll make me the youngest mega billionaire in the world.
He then put the glasses away and walked off.
Lex: I did it for you.
He walked over to a simulation room where a kid and dog were playing with his VR glasses.
Lex: Our researchers are continuing to make breakthroughs between virtual reality.
He then walks into another part where an old lady puts a turkey on the table.
Lex: To your genetically modified turkeys on your Thanksgiving tables.
He winks at her before walking away, continuing again.
Lex: But even though we're the most powerful corporation in the world. You can purchase our product knowing deep down. Lexcorp is a family company.
He then brings in an 8 year old, green bowed, blond girl. Who had a scowl on her face. This is Lena Luthor.
Lex: Isn't that right, Lena?
Lena didn't say anything making him glare at her before she gave out a toothy smile and then he smiled at the camera. The camera then pans over to the company logo.
Lexcorp cares
The news then came on with some breaking news.
News Anchor: As has become all too clear in recent months, despite having the likes of Superman looking out for her citizens, Metropolis is still in need of further super help.
On the screen a green tentacle monster was rampaging through the city causing havoc when a sword wielding hero came to the rescue cutting it tentacule off.
New Anchor: And the question everyone is asking: Who is this Wonder Woman?
A redhead girl with a batman-like hoodie was watching the news. This is Barbara Gordan. She was looking down at her tablet before her dad, Commissioner Gordan, got her attention.
Gordon: Barbara!
She looks up, taking off her hood as the Commissioner checks his mirror.
Gordon: You know your homeroom number, right?
Barbara: Sigh, yes.
She puts her hood back up before going through her tablet again.
Gordon: Aw, come on, pumpkin-pants. I know it's tough starting a new school, but I'm sure you'll fit right in.
Barbara then came to the front of the car, still strapped to her seat belt.
Barbara: Dad! You're making me move in the middle of high school. I loved Gotham City. And I was right on the verge of finally, finally, finally finding my te- Uh, my group.
Gordon: Yours, uh... Your group?
Barbara: Yeah, you know. My pack. My crew. My tribe. My-
Gordon: Oh. Your, uh, clique. Your clique.
She then got a disappointed look before returning to her seat, laying on her backpack.
Barbara: My team…
In another part of Metropolis, in the Snell household, Light was seen sleeping in his bed before a knock on the door was heard. Sonya was trying to wake him up for school.
Sonya: Light! Come on get up, we have to go.
The door opened seeing that Light was fully dressed as her mouth dropped.
Light: I'm already up.
Sonya was speechless as she never saw him up this early.
Light: Um, Earth to Sonya. You their in there.
Sonya then shook her head.
Sonya: Just come on, we have breakfast.
She then walks away as Light had a snarky smile before walking with her. They made it downstairs where the rest of the family was eating their breakfast. As they took their seats orange juice was spit on them by Manic.
Manic: Whoa, dude! When do you wake up this early?
Light and Sonya whipped themselves off.
Light: Hey, stuff changes sometimes, right?
Sonya: That's a pretty big change since you did it all your life.
Aleena: Well I'm glad that it changed. We were getting a few complaints from the school.
Light chuckled nervously as he ate his breakfast when a honk came from outside. The teens all put their dishes in the sink, grabbed their backpacks and headed out. They all got on the bus and everyone had their jaws dropped seeing Light on the bus. As he walked through the aisle everyone was just staring, silent, and most of all just outright shocked.
Light then takes a seat next to Karen, who's jaws was also wide open.
Light: Oh hey, Karen, what's up?
Karen then put a hand on his forehead.
Karen: Are you sick or something? Are these the side effects of the explosion? Do you need anything because I can get you anything.
Light then takes her hand off him.
Light: Karen, I'm fine. I just woke up on time.
Karen looked at him suspiciously as Light was sweating gallons before he changed the subject.
Light: So what's in the bag?
He points to a bag beside her and she quickly covers it.
Karen: Um, it's m-my science experiment! For Science!
It was now Light's turn to look at her suspiciously as Karen was swearing gallons.
Karen: Hey! We arrived at school! Let's go!
She quickly gets up from a seat as Light and the others follow. They were exiting the bus when Karen tripped and all of her stuff fell out.
Light: Let me help you out.
They both start to put her stuff back into her bag when Babs comes into to help.
Barbara: Hi, my name's Babs!
Karen: Karen…
Light: I'm Light.
Barbara then started talking fast leaving Karen confused, but Light was able to answer her questions.
Barbara: I'm new here, it's my first day.
Light: Welcome to Metropolis.
Barbara: Have you been going here long?
Light: For most of our lives, yeah.
Barbara: What's it like?
Light: Eh, pretty normal.
Barbara then brings out some kind of glove.
Barbara: Huh?
Light: What is that?
Karen then quickly takes the glove before putting it in the bag.
Karen: Thank you. Bye.
Karen then ran away as the two looked confused.
Light: Well I better leave. Later new girl.
Barbara: Wait! Do you think you can show me where my locker could be?
She looks through her bag before turning around seeing that he was gone and only a blue blue was left behind. She blinked a few times before a girl with purple hair came out of a limousine. This was Zatanna Zatara.
Zatanna: Bye, Daddy.
The car then honked before a man in a magician's clothing came out from the top window with her backpack. This is Mr. Zatara.
Mr. Zatara: Zee, you forgot your backpack.
The bag then magically appeared in her hands
Zatanna: Thanks, Daddy! Toodles.
She walked into the school as Babs looked onwards, rubbing her eyes.
Babs: Okay, that was weird.
As she was walking, Mick jumped over the bus and landed in front of her as she yelped.
Mick: Oh sorry about that.
Barbara: It's fine, just where did you come from?
Mick: U-um I uh, here, there, anywhere, I come in all places.
Barbara: Weird, but eh why should I be talking.
Mick: You new here or something?
Barbara: Yeah, my name is Barbara Gordan, but people call me Babs.
Mick: Name's Mick Tyson, nice to meet ya.
They both shake hands as they walk into the school.
Barbara and mick were walking through the halls as Barbara was feeling a little nervous.
Mick: Let me guess, first day jitters.
Barbara: Yeah, it's pretty obvious, huh?
Mick: Oh, yeah. All you have to do is look straight and stay confident.
Barbara: Yeah, you're right!
They then hear two people talking and looked towards a brunette male and brunette girl. This was Hal Jordan and Jessica Cruz.
Jessica: I told you, Hal. I don't believe in the Lantern Corps. Their methods are too extreme.
Hal: Look, I don't make the rules.
They both look over to the two as Barbara fakingly starts doing a random locker combination as Mick just tried to help her. Jessica then pulled out some kind of green ring.
Jessica: Take it, Hal. I don't want it.
Hal: No, Jess. They chose you.
?: Who chose who?
They both jumped seeing Sander appearing beside them, having some ice cream in his hand
Jessica: Oh, Sander, don't scare us like that.
Sander: Sorry about that.
Jessica: It's fine, it's nothing of importance anyway.
Sander: Oh it's fine if you don't want to tell me. You guys want some ice cream.
Jessica: Oh sorry, Sander, you know me and icecream.
Hal: Still with it, huh?
Jessica: Oh coarse Hal.
Sander: Well I've also got a dairy-free ice cream.
Jessica: Aww, thank Sander.
He hands Jessica the dairy-free ice cream while Hal and him just get regular as they all walk away.
Mick: We should get going.
Barbara: Yeah.
Before she looks away she sees Sander instantly suck up the ice cream and lick his lips. She looked at him with a jaw open before hearing the before two more people came along. It was Sky and Zatanna.
Sky: Love that magic show you put on Z.
Zatanna: All thanks to my trusty assistant.
Sky tried to open his locker but he couldn't remember his combination.
Sky: You go without me, I'm gonna be here a while.
Zatanna: Ok.
She then kissed on the cheek as blushes.
Zatanna: Love you.
She then walk away as he shakes off the blush before looking around. His hang glowed as his Keybladw appeared in his hand and he unlocked his locker. Barbara looked on as her jaw dropped lower before the bell rang and she rushed out to class.
As she walks down the hall she hears people talking about the monster fight and Wonder Women.
Beanie girl: The podcast called her the Wonder Woman.
Glasses boy: She took down some giant monster.
Mohawk girl: Geez! How many superheroes does Metropolis have?
Babs then entered her classroom while peering out.
Barbara: I don't know, but I'm gonna find out.
At lunch she was looking at all the people.
Barbara: Ok Metropolis High, let's do this.
She then takes a sip over milk, looking onto Jessica and Sander then at Karen and Light who were talking to each other. Mech then came to their table and Karen blushed.
Mech: Hello, friend Karen and Light.
Karen: H-H-Hey M-Mech, how a-are you d-doing?
Mech: I'm doing just fine as always, Friend Karen.
Then to Kara who was leaning in her seat with her feet up. Then lastly, at Zatanna and Sky's table who are texting and chatting at the same time. She then hears Kara laughing before Kara knew spaghetti splattered on her face. She wiped the sauce off her face before growling. She looked at Light as she was taking a bite out of spaghetti before pinning, grabbing her burger and throwing it at his head.
Light: Hey! What was that for?
He turned to Kara who threw another burger at him before Jessica came in and smacked it away.
Jessica: Leave him alone you big bully.
Zatanna: My hair.
Everyone looks over towards Zatanna who has her hair filled with the burger.
Zatanna: My hair!
She grabbed a milk carton before throwing it over Kara and hitting Jessica in the face, spilling milk on Mech making him spas out, which got Sander's attention.
Sander: Hey! Not cool!
He grabs a handful of spaghetti hitting Zatanna which got Sky enraged.
Sky: Sander!
He threw a meatball at hitting him in the face. Barbara then jumped on the table.
Barbara: Food fight!
Everyone then started going on an all out food war. Food was flying through the air like nuclear bombs. Sky and Sander were throwing food at each other, Sky through some meatballs, but Sander sucked them up before spitting it out at him.
Kara was hiding under the table as spaghetti was coming for her. She was coward in fear when Mech jumped in front of it, getting hit.
Karen: Mech?
Mech: Do not worry friend Karen. I will protect yo-
As he says that a carton of milk fell on him and he starts buzzing.
Mech: O-OH C-C-COME ON!!!!
Light and Kara were in a face off as they glared at each other. Kara then threw a bunch of meatballs as Light, using his fast reflexes, dodged all of them before grabbing some tater tots and launching a berade of taters. Kara then grabbed the table and blocked all of them before they both rushed each other, holding each other in an aggressive hand holding. Kara then punches and sends him back.
Everyone continued with the food fight when someone clears their throat making them all freeze. Robot Robotnick stood at the door as a tomato hit him in the face.
Robotnick: Now who is responsible for this?!
Everyone cleared a row and pointed at Level Up and the girls as they were in a pile in the center.
Robonick: Detention for all of you and doable detention for you Mr. Snell!
Light mouth dropped as a pie flew into his face by Mick who just enter the cafeteria. Light glared at him before they both started fighting.
10 Minutes Later
Level Up and the girls then enter the detention as the principal shakes his head.
Principal: Detention on the first day of school.
The teens sit at their desks as Light already has an assigned desk at this point for being in here the most.
Zatanna: I hope you all have good attorneys because me and Sky were just having a lovely lunch.
Kara: What, you 're gonna sue me because I got better aim then you.
Light: Well it wouldn't have started if you didn't throw spaghetti in my head.
Kara: Then don't throw it at me!
Jessica: Now let's not start fighting again.
Sky: Oh your talking. You smack jelly onto my head!
Sander: Only cause you hit me in the face with chicken!
Jessica: Boys! We don't need all this negative energy.
Karen: Also, if I offended anyone I am truly very sorry.
The principal then opened the door as a police officer was with him.
PO: And we found them on the streets.
Principal: Cutting class on the first day of school. Get in here with the other delinquents as I try to find which homeroom you two are in.
The people who walked in were Vin and a cloaked person.
Vin: I wasn't skipping. I was just late for school.
The principal just shut the door in his face and Vin sighed and took his seat. Mick leaned in to whisper to him.
Mick: Dude, where have you been?
Vin: Do you know that huge monster on the news? Well I Leveled Up-
Sander then butted into the carvisation.
Sander: Is that what we're calling it now?
Light: I guess so I was thinking of calling it upgrading to our regular selves to our gaming counterparts.
Sky: But Level Up has that oomph to it. You know?
Mech: Well if i can throw a suggestion into the pile? How about Ret-Ro because we do have powers from retro game characters.
Sky: But that's not talking about it for me. Most of you guys' characters were made in the 80's to the 90's. Sora came in 2002 so it can't be that.
Vin: Ok we're coming out from the point! The point is that I wasn't alone.
He pointed towards the cloaked person who took off their cloak to reveal a Wonder Woman. Shocking everyone except Vin.
She put her cloak on a rack before walking to her seat and sat down.
Barbara: She's…
Light: No way!
Karen: Thats… Shes!
Sky: How in the…
Barbara's eyes were sparkling as she leaned on her hand.
Barbara: The Wonder Woman.
Kara scoffed as everyone looked at her.
Kara: That's no woman, just some cosplay girl.
Light: Do you not look at the news?
Wonder Woman then stood up.
WW: I'm no girl. I am Diana Princess of the Amazons. I alone have survived the 21 trials of Athena and Aphrodite. By right I am not a girl, but a woman.
Kara didn't seem to care about her remark.
Kara: Trust me "princess", but you don't want to start with me.
Kara then got up from her seat.
Diana: Is this a challenge?
Kara: For you maybe.
Vin: Kara you don't want fight her, trust me.
Kara: I'll be fine. I think I can handle the princess.
Diana: Well then, I allow you first strike.
Diana got into a fighting stance as Kara just shrugs.
Kara: All right, but you asked for it.
Mick: This is either gonna turn for the worst.
Light: Yes, yes it is.
Kara threw a punch at Diana who dodges it.
Diana: Again!
Kara got a little irritated before trying to punch her in the face, but Diana grabbed her hand and countered, pushing her back.
Kara then blew some hair out of her eyes before going into a blinding rage punch towards Diana who dodges it. Diana dodges another punch by jumping off the wall, making Kara hit the wall. Diana kicked her in the back, but that faze her and she rapidly try to punch Diana, but she kept dodging her punches.
Kara: Why don't you just stand still?!
She reeled back before punching her in the gut and into the wall making a hole. Everyone gasps in shock as Kara tries to apologize. Diana leaps out from the hole before landing onto Kara punching her multiple times leaving a hole in the floor before Kara kicks her off. Diana lands on Karen's desk, she grabs some books from the shelf and throws them at Kara. Kara dodged a few before grabbing Jessica's desk and used it like a shield, disks being embedded in it before she threw it at Diana.
Kara and Diane then charged at each other before everything started to move slower. Before starting up again making them stop in their tracks, confused.
Kara: What the heck happened?
Diana: I do not know. Was it some kind of witchery?
All the guys then looked at Light who was leaning on his desk with a snarky grin on his face.
Karen: Light was that you?
Light: Maybe, maybe not.
Karen narrowed her eyes.
Karen: Yeah it's definitely him.
Light: Looks like a hedgehog out of the bag.
Mick: That was a horrible joke.
Light: You're a horrible joke, Jumpman!
Mick: Dude!
Karen: Wait hedgehog and Jumpman? Wait, Oh my gosh! Your Sonic and Mario from the news!
Light just shrugged as Mick groaned.
Light: Guilty as charged.
Mick: You don't get what a secret identity is, do you?
Diana: Well Link also has a secret identity.
She points over to Vin who has facepalms.
Vin: I said keep it a secret.
Mech: Yes, he is. I myself am Megaman.
Sky: Mech, secret!
Megaman: So I shouldn't let them know your Sora?
Sky groaned as Zatanna dropped her fingernails filer.
Zatanna: Wait, my boyfriend, is Sora!
Sky:... Surprise…..
All the guys then looked at Sander who stared at them back.
Sander: Oh, I'm also Kirby!
Barbara then jumped up.
Barbara: So you guys are?
The guys then got into a superhero pose.
Light: We're Team Level Up!
Barbara's eyes sparkled as Zatanna chimed in.
Zatanna: Your about to be Team Busted.
They all look at the door seeing the Principal coming. Everyone then starts to frantically fix the room. The door creaked open as the room still wasn't fixed. Zatanna then looks around and brings a wand before enchanting a spell.
Zatanna: tup siht os ssalc egnarts niaga!
As the principal came in, the room was spotless, everything was fixed, everyone was at their seats with huge smiles.
Mr Chapin: Everything alright in here?
Zatanna: Mmm-hmm. Yes, Mr. Chapin.
Mr Chapin: All right. Good. I, um, forgot my keys.
He grabbed his keys before Babs popped up.
Babs: A-ha! I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! I knew you were super.
She then points a finger at Kara.
Babs: I knew it the minute I saw you dent that car door because no ordinary person could possibly slam a door that hard.
She then points at Karen and Mech.
Babs: And then when you spilled all those weird metal thingies on the bus and when you were sparking out in the cafeteria, I knew there was something weird going on with you, too.
She then points at Light.
Babs: And you when you weren't standing by me anymore and blue streak taking your place, so that was suspicious.
She then points at Mick.
Babs: Then you when you jumped over that bus which a normal person can't do!
She then points at Zatanna and Sky.
Babs: And then you two, all of a sudden, had your backpack and unlocked your locker with a giant key, and I was like, "That's weird."
She then points at Jessica and Sander.
And then I overheard you talking to that cute boy about some Corps thing and some ring and I knew something was up and how you sucked that ice cream in one gulp, so I decided to start a food fight so that we all get detention together, which totally worked.
She then points at Vin and Diana, leaning over their desk.
Babs: And then you two, I wasn't planning on you showing up at all. So that's just like a huge bonus anyway.
Babs: My plan was that you'd all keep fighting once we got to detention and all get so worked up that you'd be forced to reveal that you're super and guess what, so am I! The one and only Batgirl.
She pulls out a purple version of Batman's suit.
Mick: I'm guessing you're a Batman fangirl.
Babs: Yeah I idolize him.
Kara: Great another cosplayer.
Light: Love the attitude. It's just brims with excitement.
Diana then stood up with excitement.
Diana: Huzzah! At last. A sister-in-arms. Never had I dreamed I would encounter the warrior spirit of an Amazon upon entering the world of Man. For you see, it is my quest, my crusade, my destiny, to bring the Amazon way of peace and prosperity to man's world, and to rid it of all evil. The gods bestow this honor upon me and I feared I alone should have to carry my burden.
She then hugged Barbara as sparkles run through her
Diana: But now... Now I have a sister by my side.
Babs: No, no, no, no. Five sisters and six brothers
Kara: Uh, nope. I use my powers, I get in trouble. Every single time.
Jessica: Not me. I'm not fighting anyone.
Sky: Well I'm in even though I'm already one.
Zatanna then used her magic to bring him down.
Zatanna: No you are not, I'm sorry but I don't want to see you get hurt and I'm an artist. Not a police officer.
Karen: Um, I'm not really that good at it.
Mick: Well, friend Karen, the suit you created and its abilities do look good.
Karen blushed before Diana slams her hand on the desk.
Diana: Cowards! I speak of destiny. The same mantle of greatness the gods bestowed upon me, they have also bestowed upon you.
Babs: Plus, come on, you guys! How can you not be excited about heroes and villains and fighting crime and hidden lairs and secret identities and stuff?
Zatanna: Um, the trick with secret identities, my dear, is that, in order to remain secret, one must convincingly pass as a normal human being.
Babs: Okay, tell you what. You guys give being a team a teensie try, she'll teach us how to be heroes and you can give her a makeover. Deal?
Zatanna then joins in.
Zatanna: [sigh] Who am I to say no to a makeover?
Sky: Does that mean…
Zatanna sighs.
Zatanna: Fine you can fight crime
Sky pumps his fist up as Karen Aldo joins in.
Karen: Um... Okay.
Jessica is also in.
Jessica: Good for you, Karen. I'll try, too, but only to support and encourage Karen's brave decision.
Everyone then looks at Kara who is lazily sitting in her chair. She looks at everyone looking at her as Light gives out a gesture.
Kara: Fine. Whatever.
Babs: Yes! It's settled. Super awesome super hero-ness, here we come!
Light: And I think we can help since we have some experience.
Sander: Even though we started yesterday.
Mech: To be precise, 22 hours 12 minutes and 45 seconds.
Mick: And I don't think we still can control our powers. I keep jumping too high and hitting my head on something, Light crashes into everything, Sander has his hunger increased.
Sander: Hey I call that a full on win.
Mick just ignored him.
Mick: Mech can't seem to control his shot, and Sky and Vin still need to work on their sword work.
Light: We still have some experience.
Mick: Not much.
Light started to get irritated as he glared at him.
Light: It's still an experience, Mick.
Mick: Well if experience is a bank robbery with a guy named Big Boss. Then yeah, definitely experience.
They both glare at each as the other states.
Babs: What's going on with them?
Zatanna: It's just their rivalry with each other.
Sky: Been like this since they were eight.
Karen: And I should know. I knew Light since we were babies and they will get physical no questions asked.
Barbara: We should really end this episode.
Light: OH YOUR GONNA GET IT NOW!!!
Mick: I'M GONNA STOMP YOUR FACE IN!!!
Vin: END THE EPISODE! END THE EPISODE!!!
The End
Speed: Ok… that was… eventful.
Lizzy: Yeah…
Speed: We I'm gonna have to decide this into parts since this is a little too long.
Lizzy: So get ready for normies to become Supes and a certain princess to become a normie in
