I skip into the living room. Jay and Harry are arguing over who should bathe Sofie.
"Jay, you bathe Sofie. Harry, my love, don't. Just don't." I say. Harry walks over to me.
"Hey, Hadie… I have something to tell you." Harry says. I raise a questioning eyebrow.
"Continue." I say.
"Your last name sucks, it should be Hook." Harry says, pulling me in for a hug.
"Smooth, lover boy. I'll have to pass up on your offer for now. I'll see you later, I have to find a place to practice my singing while simultaneously getting gifted by the gods because my singing kinda sucks." I say.
"Don't you want someone to help you?" Harry asks.
"I'll tell you if I need any." I say with a smile. I research love songs on my computer. I find a couple of good ones including, "I Won't Say(I'm in Love)," "Once Upon A Dream," "I See the Light," "A Whole New World," "Reflection," "Something There," "Love is An Open Door," and, I hope Evie doesn't mind, "One Kiss." We all recorded the songs we broke out singing so then they could empower people. I know, smart. It was my idea, duh. I was dancing and singing to these songs, trying to figure out their rhythm, when I heard a knock. I spin around and see Harry. Just standing there, a darn good-looking smirk plastered on his face. "Hi." I say with a forced smile, "I Won't Say(I'm in Love)" playing in the background.
"Hello, beautiful." Harry says.
"And you thought I had a lot of pet names." I say with a small smile. Harry walks in a few paces.
"You have to go outside right now or you'll miss it." Harry says. I am skeptical of the whole thing, but I go down anyway. I walk outside, and see Audrey and Gil having a super cute moment. I start fangirling right there. Harry walks out next to me. Excuse me, swaggered. I race back inside.
"Evie! Start planning the Audrey x Gil wedding!" I scream when I get inside. Evie looks outside. We do that Auradon "Excited girl squeal." Harry puts a hand on my shoulder. I stop fangirling, and purse my lips to keep from laughing at his crooked smile.
"You've hung out in Auradon for too long. Why don't we take a nice short little visit to the Isle to get back the Hadie I fell in love with." Harry says, that lopsided smile still there.
"Why don't we go and take a nice visit to my Dad, then have a chat with my Mom. See if she forgives me. Oh! Then we go up to Mount Olympus to go and visit the rest of my family." I say. Harry looks at me as if I'm crazy. "A nice little weekend trip, you know?" I ask.
"I don't know. How many people here take weekend trips? Are they a thing? What do you do?" Harry asks.
"You take a trip somewhere- anywhere, just for the weekend. That's the rule most weekend trips have. You go away Saturday and Sunday, come back for the week." I explain. Harry nods.
"Oh." He said, dragging out the 'o' sound. I shake my head, then Harry drapes an arm over my shoulders. I snuggle closer to him, and Mal walks in.
"Uma! Look, aren't these two the cutest?" Mal asked as Uma walked in.
"Aww! I'm over here waiting for Harry to propose already. We all know they are both head over heels." Uma says.
"Uma, we all know how long it takes Harry to get his act together, besides we've only been back together for two weeks." I reason.
"But still!" Uma exclaims. I roll my eyes. It's true, only three short weeks ago, I saved the world as we know it. I'm not bragging. I go back upstairs to find the rhythm of the songs, when Harry just walks in. I narrow my eyes.
"Are you just going to keep bugging me until I give you attention?" I ask, brows raised.
"How did you know?" Harry asks. I see him take out a few photos. I look at each of them. I had found an old camera on the Isle, and I used to take pictures with it. Mostly of me and Harry. The photos look old and faded, but I know they aren't. I look at the first one, Harry kissing me on my cheek. I feel a slight blush form upon looking at the photo. The next one, me on Harry's back. One after that, Harry TRYING to teach me how to sword fight. Yeah, I still am not the best, but I did beat Uma's pirate crew that one time. Harry's voice slices through my thoughts.
"Remember how we met?" Harry asks quietly. I look at the next photo, Harry and I looking menacing. I chuckle at the picture.
"How could I forget?" I ask with a smile.
FLASHBACK:
How in the great name of Zeus could someone say that the Hook boy could out sarcast me! I am the most sarcastic in all of the Isle, and probably all of Auradon. I heard he goes to Serpent Prep. The other school. I also heard that he hangs out at Ursula's Fish and Chips. Then I heard that he carries a fake hook and wears a red pirate coat. Eavesdropping is so useful! I walk into the chip shoppe, and look around for the pirate with the red coat and fake hook. I spot him and slide into the chair across from him.
"Hey, Hook." I say, an evil smirk plastered onto my face.
"Hi… blue haired girl." Harry says.
"My name is Hadie, thanks for asking." I say sarcastically.
"Oh, you are the sarcastic one." Harry says.
"Oh, you are the one who thinks he can out sarcast me, a goddess." I say, faking a smile.
"A goddess?" Harry asks, eyebrow raised. Something seems slightly off about him.
"My father is Hades. Therefore, I am Hadie, lady of the underworld, goddess of the dead. Hi, how ya doing?" I say sarcastically.
"You have only been sarcastic, Hadie. I am the most sarcastic." Harry says.
"Oh, you want to start a war, Hook? you have been warned. No one out sarcasts Hadie. Ever." I say, referring to myself in third person. Harry laughs.
"I'll start a war with you, and I'll win." Harry says.
"Game on, Hook. You will totally win." I add sarcastically. I leave before he can respond, my mind reeling. I have to stop Harry Hook from beating me. I can't be beat! I mean, I've never lost before. Why start now? Over the next few days, Harry and I go back and forth. Sarcastic comment after sarcastic comment.
"Oh, yeah because you think you're so much better than me." I say, sarcasm present in every word I say.
"And I'm not? Last time I checked, I am the most sarcastic." Harry said.
"Boo-hoo to you. Wake up and smell the stink! I, Hadie, have never been beaten, and I won't start now!" I declare to the whole marketplace. Harry glares at me, per usual.
"You're lying to yourself, and we both know it." Harry said softly, stalking closer to me. I shoot him a glare. "I'm totally going to lose." Harry adds sarcastically.
"Oh, if you're going to win, then I'm going to Bore-a-don tomorrow and ruling the world as we speak." My sarcastic tone never leaving. Harry looks shocked for a split second, then regains his composure.
"You only want me to win so you can keep seeing my pretty face." Harry says. I glare.
"If I wanted you to win, you'd have already won." I say, turning and glaring at the blue-eyed pirate. His blue eyes pierce into my brown eyes. He basically challenges me to keep staring, so I keep glaring at him. Harry's eyes soften the smallest bit, but I stay where I am.
"My daughter, glaring down a Hook. Impressive." Dad's voice says from behind me. I spin and see Dad. My face splits into a huge grin.
"Dad!" I exclaim, giving the latter a hug. "What in the name of Zeus are you doing out here?"
"Trying to find a hole in the barrier. Some pirates are helping me." Dad says nonchalantly.
"Nice. I'm in a sarcasm war with Hook boy over here. I'm about to win, obviously. The gods and goddesses would be jealous over my sharp tongue and the wits I have." I tell Dad who gives me an approving look.
"I'll leave you to win. Remember, the enemy doesn't win when you have talent most would kill for." Dad says.
"I will remember that, Dad." I say. I turn back to Harry and smirk. "I'm gonna win." I say.
"And I'm off this island." I give him a confused look. "Oh, I'm sorry, Princess. I was merely stating the impossible." Harry says, making me angry.
"I'm no princess. I'm a goddess. Forget the difference, and your soul will be forever trapped." I say, my voice dangerously low.
"No, yours will. In case you forgot, I've got the best looks on the island." Harry says with a smirk.
"Excuse me?" I ask, frustration building up.
"You're excused, your majesty." Harry says, bowing, that darn smirk STILL there.
"Real funny." I snarl. "My servants are waiting." I add.
"They can keep waiting, 'cause you aren't walking away until I win." Harry says.
"Then we'll be here forever." I drawl out. "Good thing I'm immortal."
"Hey, quick question." Harry says. I glare at him. "Are you sure you aren't the goddess of being annoying?" Harry asks.
"Are you sure that's a real hook, Hook boy?" I counter. Harry purses his lips, looking for a response.
"No… but I'm sure you think I should win." Harry finally says.
"Ugh! No! I'm proud of you though, that must've taken all three of your brain cells. Congratulations." I say, patting him on the shoulder.
"I always knew that I somehow impressed you." Harry says with a smirk.
"Oh, please! You wish!" I say. Harry glares at me, again for the umpteenth time. "You're a hot mess." I say, going to walk away.
"Did you just say that I'm hot?" Harry asks. I frown.
"Who in their right mind would even think about calling you hot?" I ask.
"But you think I'm hot?" Harry asks with a smirk.
"Like the flames in hell. Nearly as unbearable to say the least." I say, now smirking as he furrowed his eyebrows.
"Right." Harry says, dragging out the word. "And you still think I'm hot." Harry says.
"Yeah, sure." I say sarcastically. What Harry said must've dawned on him because his cheeks became redder. "Awe, are you blushing?" I ask.
"No, you win." Harry grumbles. I do a victory dance.
"You hear that? That's the sound of me being the champion of sarcasm! Wait until I rub it in all of your faces!" I declare to the whole marketplace. I practically skip over to Urslua's Fish and Chips.
"I beat Harry Hook in a sarcasm war. I beat Harry Hook in a sarcasm war. I beat Harry Hook in a sarcasm war." I sing as I skip to the docks. I push open the doors of the chip shoppe.
"Guess who beat your beloved Harry Hook in a sarcasm war?" I ask the pathetic excuse for a restaurant. Everyone just stares at me. "Me, duh." I say as I take a seat on a throne like chair.
"Who are you?" A girl with teal hair asks.
"The names Hadie, lady of the underworld, goddess of the dead. Hi, how ya doing?" I hold out my hand, expecting a handshake.
"Who's your parent- or parents." the girl asks.
"My dad is Hades, you know, the god." I say.
"You beat Harry Hook in a sarcasm war?" the girl asks. I nod. The door swings open again, but I don't pay attention to that. "You sure?" the girl asks.
"Yeah, I'm the most sarcastic on the island. I expect you to leave my friends alone on our turf." I say.
"Who are your friends?" the girl asks.
"Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos." I say with a sickeningly sweet smile. The girl goes pale. "Anyways, where are Pain and Panic when you need them?" I say, trying to ease the tension in the room.
"So, uh, you beat Harry, our Harry Hook, in a sarcasm war?" the girl says. I nod, and my hair catches fire. I lean my head back, making the chair fiery too. "I can't take you seriously when you're setting my favorite chair on fire!" the girl exclaims.
"Literally nothing is happening to it. You can chill out now." I say.
"So, you beat Harry Hook in a sarcasm war?"
"Yes! Pay attention, or you'll be burned." I threaten.
"I just can't believe Harry was beat." she pauses. "So, you're sure you're sure?"
"The lass is right, Uma." a voice says from behind me.
"Oh, hey Hook. I wasn't expecting you to be here. This just gives me time to rub in the fact that I beat you!" I exclaim. Harry glares at me.
"This isn't any place for some goddess, Hadie." Harry warns.
"Why not? I'm the most feared on this island. I can be wherever I want to be." I counter.
"Always got a comeback?" Harry asks.
"Of course I do." I say with an evil smirk.
End Flashback:
"We were quite the pair, huh?" Harry asks, breaking through my thoughts, again.
"Yes, we were. How about the fact that my father, the cave bat, came out of the cave." I ask with a giggle.
"That was a rare thing. If I won, how mad would you have been?" Harry asks.
"Very, very mad. I don't think there would have been an Isle left." I say with a laugh. Harry chuckles.
"In that case, I'm glad I didn't win." Harry says.
"Yeah, well, we certainly wouldn't be here if you won." I say. Harry wraps his arms around my waist, and I side hug him. Just then, Evie walks in.
"You won't believe this! Mal said that we should all go visit our parents and force them to be good, that way everyone in Auradon feels safer." Evie explains. I look at Evie, questioning why this is even a thing, but ultimately, my brain decided this is a great idea.
"Let's do it!" I say, a plan already forming in my head.
A/N: I AM SORRY FOR NOT POSTING THIS CHAPTER SOONER. I really am. Kinda. Sort of. Not really. I went on a weekend trip and did not have my computer with me so... here we are. I'll update soon(er) I promise. Have a great day.
