Chapter-4 Becoming a Palpatine/ having doubts

Kierra looked at him for a few seconds then heard him tell the guards to leave. She watched as they left then she realized that he was the one that was talking to Rae. "Weren't you the one that was talking to Rae?" "Yes, that was me but before I answer all the questions you have why don't you take a make yourself comfortable and take a seat." He pointed to where there were chairs to sit it. She walked to go sit down and took a glance at the chairs they looked uncomfortable but soon as she sat down, she was surprised. How can chairs look uncomfortable but be so comfortable. As soon as the chancellor saw that she was sitting he resumed talking.

"Now that you are settled, I can answer any question you may have." Kierra thought of all the questions she had but knew all of them probably wouldn't be answered but it wouldn't hurt to try. "Why me?" He gave her a confused look. "Why would you take the time out of your day when you are busy to talk to me?" She looked down "Nobody wants to talk to me because of what I am." She looked back at him "All I know is that I got adopted but instead of the person that is supposed to be my guardian or caretaker I'm escorted here."

He thought for a second. She doesn't know why she is here? "I'll answer that after you ask the other questions you have." Kierra didn't like that answer but a least he was going to tell her. "What were you doing at the orphanage anyway don't you have like more important things?" What he said next wasn't something she thought he would say. "I needed a little break from sitting for hours listing to senators going back and forth arguing so I decided to make time for myself and explore but somehow ended up checking the orphanage even though it wasn't om my agenda." Something told her that what he said didn't sound true so she decided to ask her last question.

"What was with the guards I know I'm not that important." He Smiled "To answer the first question I believe that nobody she be treated poorly because of their species and with my help well both see an end to it." Maybe I'll have her join the Sith without her getting suspicious or knowing, all because of Rae or whatever her name was helped me without knowing. I can train her myself or probably have Dooku train her. As he finished his thoughts he stood up and walked to the window and his smile darkened because he knew she couldn't see it. "As for the second question that's where you are wrong you are important now." He didn't have to turn around to know that she was confused. He brightened his smile to make it seem like nothing was going on.

She noticed two things in his hands. "These are a wrist commlink and a holo communicator and they allow you to keep in contact with me and the reason I said your important is because you are a Palpatine now." Kierra was shocked "Also I have a room at the 500 Republica, why don't you get settled in there just tell them who you are and they should give you a room key." Before she could say something, he added one more thing before leading her out. "Sorry I have to cut this short but there should be a clone commander to escort you there I think he goes by Fox but if you need anything just ask." After he said that Kierra thanked him and left. Now I believe Anakin should be coming here soon.

"What's taking her so long I know it doesn't take that long to splash so water on your face and dry it." Anakin was getting restless waiting for Ahsoka to come back from the refresher so he could talk to the chancellor he didn't want to be here as much as she did but he just needed to talk to him really quick and she was making the process longer. "She is probably on her way now Anakin, I mean there is more people here than usual." He knew she was right about there being a lot of people but he didn't want to admit it. "There she is right over there" as he heard her say that he looked to where Padmé was pointing. "About time" when Anakin said that and Padmé laughed "Well I'll let you talk to the chancellor and will see you later if they don't send you out on any missions." She walked away to go to a meeting and he looked back to his padawan. Time to get this over with I don't want to be here any longer than I have to. He thought as he made his way over to her.

As Ahsoka was looking for her master her mind kept thinking about what happened earlier and she knew he would be a little upset that she took a while but he would get over it. She stopped to figure out where he would be because he wasn't where he was before she left. As she stood there for a few seconds she was about to start walking around when she felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned around quickly "Not My Sou…" before she could finish, she realized it was her master that was in put his hand on her shoulder. "You want to tell me what has you all worked up." Before she answered she thought about what was said to her. "Does your master or any of the other jedi know about that?" She thought about what could happen if she told him would he tell the chancellor then he would inform the council or would he search for her himself. She didn't any of those to happen because she wanted to find out who that person was by herself.

"It's nothing but after you are done talking to the chancellor can I ask you a question?" he crossed his arms and smirked "How about you ask it now and I'll see what I know?" She didn't want Anakin getting suspicious about her question because then he might start interrogating her for answers for lying to him plus, she didn't want anyone going after the person she was going after. jedi aren't supposed to form attachments. She decided she would go do some research if he didn't know much. "Your fun to tease but bad at lying." "I hope this doesn't back fire." "I'm not it's the truth." "Do you know anything about the Anzati?"

He looked at her confused because it has been a while since anyone said anything about them "Yeah I know about them but nobody talks about them so what do you want to know." She knew this was her chance so she took it. "Everything you know." When she said that he started to suspect something and knew something was up because nobody really talked about them anymore but he didn't bother to ask her he would just have to be more cautious and pay attention to her more. "I'll tell you what I know but first I need to talk to the chancellor." Ahsoka was glad that he didn't question her about it. "I'm going to wait out here while you talk to him. Anakin smiled "Don't do anything stupid while I'm talking to him." She was about to make a sarcastic comment but Anakin beat her to it. "Don't make any snippy comments." Ahsoka sighed "fine just go talk to him."
