Riley POV
Its been about three days since my first day I got to know Lyra and Jax more, I can't wait to figure out what's going to happen today
Lyra, Jax, Logan and I just finished dinner, it's around 10:00 pm in the night and Chiron currently called for all of the Demi Gods to meet with him which we all are with him as of right now
"Ok, it seems like a fairly peaceful day, there's no clouds in the sky, and everyone hasn't been training as much as they we're supposed to, so I think that some of you might be a little bored so I think we should spice up today with some capture the flag!"Chiron announced and everyone started cheering
"What's capture the flag like here to make people so excited?"I asked Logan
"We'll Capture the Flag here is like Capture The Flag back where you live except...it's more extreme"Logan replied
"Come on how extreme can Capture The Flag be"I said
"Ok, get your armor and weapons and meet me deep in the forest"Chiron said
"Did he say weapons?"I asked
Ten minutes later
"I'm gonna die"I said as I walked with Lyra, Jax and Logan. Lyra, Jax and I were wearing armor and helmets, Lyra had a hunter's knife, and a shield with an image of Medusa's head on it, Jax just had a silver blade
"No you won't, don't forget, your mom's Annabeth, the daughter of Athena the goddess of wisdom, you can think of a battle strategy"Jax said
"But I can't think of anything"I said
"I bet that you're going to find out how to win"Lyra said
"Don't doubt yourself Ry, you got this"Logan said
We soon arrived where Chiron was and the others too
"Ok, since miss Riley is new here, we'll need someone to recruit her"Chiron said
"She can join us"
I looked back and saw a boy about a year older than me, he had golden blonde hair and black eyes and I walked over to him and his team which means I joined the team with Lyra and Jax
"Thanks for letting me join your team"I thanked him
"No problem, I'm Adam, son of Hephaestus"Adam said
"I'm Riley Jackson, granddaughter of Poseidon and daughter of Percy Jackson"I told him
"Well nice to meet you Riley"Adam said
"Now begin!!"Chiron said and both the groups charged at each other from different sides of the forest
I ran by and saw Jax slash and kick multiple people before getting tackled himself
And then I saw Lyra kick another person twice and then slashing them in the face with her hunters knife and then knocked them out with her shield
"Jackson!!!"I heard someone yell and I saw Xenia charge at me, I ran up until I stopped at a creek
"It's time for you to pay for what you did"Xenia said as she swung her spear at me which I dodged
She then swung her spear at me again but it clashed with my sword
We continued to clash weapons until Xenia slashed me on the leg and an electric current through my body
"Ah! What was that?!"I said
"This is an Electric Spear that belonged to my mother, now you're gonna feel it's wrath!"Xenia said as she attempted to stab me with it but I dodged and attacked but she slashed me with the spear again once again electrocuting me
She kept slashing me multiple times and I fell onto the ground
"Get up!"Xenia shouted and I got back up and attacked her again only to get slashed in the leg
I knelt down in pain and then she kicked me and I landed in the creek, I thought of acting like I was dead but then something weird happened
I started to notice things like Xenia's fighting style, she fought with brute strength so that means she doesn't put much thought into her attacks
I got back up and I noticed that if I odds right she'll have multiple openings that I can exploit
She swings her spear again which I dodge easily and I noticed that there's a two second delay whenever she swings the spear, maybe even though she's muscular for our age the spear is just little bit heavy for her
She swings again but I dodge and the slash her in the right shoulder, she swings about but I grab the spear and throw it out of her hands
She tries to hit me but I move to the side and then slash her in the stomach and then kicks her in her left shoulder and then slashed her again in the leg and then I kick her making her land in the creek, I then leave and arrives where the flag is and I see Jax knock out the person guarding the flag and then take the flag and win the game for our team
"Whoo! We won!!"Jax yelled
After capture the flag we had a party
"You seriously did that!"Logan said
"Xenia got demolished!"Jax said
"We told you that you could do it"Lyra said
Just as then a multitude of lightning and takes the form a a head made out of lightning
"Riley Jackson! Show yourself!"The Lightning head said
"Holy hell! It's Zeus!"Jax said
"Riley Jackson! I say this one more time before I rain lightning down on this place!!"Zeus yelled
I got up and ran towards him
"What do you want from me?!!"I yelled at him
"Being me the helm!"Zeus said
"What are you talking about?"I asked
"Don't act like you don't know! I want the Helm of Darkness in the next 7 days or there will be war!"Zeus said as he disappeared
"Someone stole Hades's Helm of Darkness two weeks ago, and Zeus must want it to try and control Hades"Chiron said
"Well I don't have the Helm of Darkness! What am I supposed to do!"I yelled in panic
"I know what to do. Riley Jackson I shall give you the quest to retrieve the Helm of Darkness from whoever that stole it. It will be a journey filled with treachery and not to mention that others would want to have it in their possession because it's a weapon of one of the members of the big three, you have to hurry"Chiron said and everyone started to walk away
In the next few minutes I put on some new clothes and packed my bags, I wore a Jean Jacket over my Camp Half-blood Shirt and put on some black pants and white sneakers and I headed out of my cabin
"Where do you think you're going?"Logan asked
I looked and saw Logan, Jax and Lyra who all looked like they were ready to leave
"I'm going on my quest...why are you guys dressed like that?"I asked them
"Because we're coming to...family has to stick together"Jax said
"Yeah, we ride together and we die together"Lyra said
"And who am I to let my Best Friend go on a Dangerous Journey without me"Logan said
I smiled
"Alright, let's go, we only have a week"I said
"Wait you can't go with only one weapon, come on, follow me"Logan said and we followed him to Hephaestus Cabin which was filled with technology and video games
"Hey what's up? I'm guessing your here's because of the journey"Adam said and we all nodded
"Ok, let's just say that I have a habit of making replicas of things that belong to the gods and half-bloods that have the same abilities, I'm also a hoarder"Adam said as he looked around and pulled out several items
"For Lyra, here's a bow and some enchanted arrows"Adam said
"For Jax, here's a sword enchanted by Artemis herself and for Logan here's a Mirror"Adam said he threw Logan a mirror which he barely catches
"What am I supposed to do with this?"He asked
"You'll find out"Adam said
"And last but not least, I've got two things for you, here's some flying shoes I got from Hermes, and a map"Adam said
"What am I going to do with this map? What all it lead me to?"I asked him
"They will lead you to multiple stops, three of those stops there'll have to be one Pearl, the others might have a challenge to see if you're worthy of the quest, and take this too"Adam explained to me and then he handed me a black empty bag
"What's this for?"I asked
"What? You're carrying a lot of stuff. You need to put it somewhere, you can't just go out in public carrying these weapons"Adam said
"This is a mirror"Logan said but he was ignored
"Stay safe guys, and good luck cause if you don't all of us are dead, no pressure though"Adam said as he went to play a game
"Alright guys let's go"I said and the four of us exited Hermès cabin and went out of the gates to go on a life changing journey that will be the start of many more
I've finally got to the journey aspect of the story, it's relieving honestly, now that I introduced the main characters I can fully start the story, I hoped you liked these three chapters so far, the next chapter should be tomorrow
