Riley POV
We left the camp that was step one, next came the hardest part...finding a form of transportation, we've spent the last two hours walking
"Isn't there a bus coming here?"Logan asked
"Nope, a bus hasn't stopped here in Thirty Years"Lyra replied
"Can't we do something, hey Riley, your grandfather can control horses, can't you summon some horses?"Jax asked me
"No, so far I haven't unlocked anything from my Dad's side of the family"I replied
"The worst thing is that none of us can you any of our powers because we haven't even had any sign yet, we'll except for Riley but her Wisdom isn't going to help us find something to ride"Jax said
"Yep only Riley, definitely only Riley"Lyra said
"How about we hijack a car?"Logan asked
"Logan we're supposed to be heroes not criminals"I told him
"Well your dad's old Step Father Smelly Gabe made him a criminal before your grandma divorced him and married Mr.Paul"Logan said
"I've heard Grandma tell me that Gabe was a bad person but she never told me the entire story of my father"I told them
"That's strange because all of us know it, they told us his story as a bed time story"Jax said
"Hey look, it's a Garden Emporium, maybe we can ask someone there for help"Lyra said
"Good thinking. Come on"I said and we raced to the Garden Emporium and opened the door and walked in
"There are a lot of statues here"Logan said
"Yeah, this is very freaky"Lyra agreed
"Eh, I don't see it"Jax said and we all look back at him
"What? When you're the grandson of the god of death not a lot of things freak you out"Jax told us and we continued to walk
"Let's split up to cover more ground"I told them before I separated from them
Jax was next to separate
Lyra POV
"Does she not know anything about Horror Movies, you don't split up when you're in a creepy place"Logan said before I separated from him
"Why did we have to find a place which such creepy statues at 12:30 in the morning? It's still dark outside too?"I said as I walked into the garden to be greeted by more statues and plants, I shuddered when I looked at them, but then I got a really good look at them...they were afraid...but of what?
"This is so weird, why do they look so afraid? All of them look so afraid"I told myself but then walked off
Logan POV
"Man this is so creepy"I said as I carefully walked through the hall
"I think I should shed some light in here"I said as I found a light and I turned it on only to see I've been surrounded by statues
I jumped after realizing
"Ok...those were definitely not there before"I said as I panted
I looked to my side only to see another satyr, this one looked just like me
"So creepy, it looks just like my twin brother Aphin, it can't be though...Aphin was killed by...sons of Medusa...RILEY!!! JAX!!! LYRA!!!!"I said as I raced out of the hallway to go find them
Riley POV
"Why is my heart racing? It's like I'm scared, but nothing's here that could scare me, like these statue are creepy but it's not enough to scare me"I said to myself but then I heard Logan shout 'RILEY!!! JAX!!! LYRA!!!!'
I ran quickly to where I heard him shouting
"Logan?!"I yelled
"Riley!!"I heard him yell
"Logan where are you???!!!"I yelled once again
"Riley!!"I heard him yell again and then we both bumped into each other
"Ah! What the heck?! What's wrong?!"I asked
"You need to calm down, at least a little bit...we're the lair of the sons of Medusa"Logan told me and my eyes widened
"JAX/LYRA!!"We both yelled
Lyra POV
I ran to where I heard Riley and Logan shouting
But my body stopped moving and my blood ran cold when I heard multiple hissing noises
"W-What's going on? W-Who's there?"I asked, my voice started shaking out of fear
"My my, looks like we've found ourselves a half-blood"I looked behind me and saw a big snake, I quickly turned my head back to where it was before
"I smell two more half-bloods, and a satyr"Another voice said
"Fellas, this is going to be good, split up, turn the other half-bloods into stone and then we'll have the satyr for a midnight snack"The first snake said and the others split up, just as he said that I knew where we were
"Sons of Medusa"I said as I closed my eyes tightly and felt the snake wrap around me
"You got that right little girl, it's been a while since me and my bro's have seen a half-blood, the last one we saw killed almost all of us, there used to be 26 of us, now there's just five, ever since then I swore that I would never let any half-bloods hurt me or my brothers again"The snake said
"Now just open those eyes, granddaughter of Zeus, I've heard that they're a beautiful stormy green"I heard the snake said before it ran its tongue upwards on my cheek
"People normally run away from my eyes, which really hurts my feelings, I hope you find my eyes...attractive"I heard him say once more and my fear was starting to take over, I felt like I wanted to curl up into a little ball, I was just about to open my eyes when I heard
"Don't open your eyes Lyra!"I heard Riley say that
"Another half-blood! I'll be right back!"I heard him say as he quickly released me and started chasing Riley
"Ok...that was scary, what am I supposed to do, I don't have my bow and arrows...I mean I can use 'them' but I might end up killing all of us"I said as I looked at my hands
Riley POV
"Catch if you can you cold blooded freak!"I taunted the snake but I felt the snake grab my foot and drag me towards it, I closed my eyes and kicked it making it let go of me
"That was a lucky shot, let's see if you can fight without seeing though"The snake said as it launched itself at me, I dodged it because of the sound
"He's right, how am I supposed to fight without seeing"I said but then I felt it tackle me and we both crashed through a glass door 'who even has those?'
I threw it off of me and I felt myself land in water
"I've got you right where I want you, sitting down, no place to go, and you can't even see"J heard the snake but then after a few seconds, I couldn't feel the coldness of the water
"What the?! How are you doing that?! NOOOOOO!!!!"I heard the snake said before I heard him go silent, I reluctantly opened my eyes to see that the water was no longer where it was before, it was all over the ground, and I saw the snake on the ground coughing
I took out the pen clicked it and stabbed the snake in the head with the sword. Killing it
I run back to go find the others
Logan POV
"Man we're trapped, there's no where to go"I said as Jax and I we're trapped surrounded by four snakes, we closed our eyes shut to make sure we didn't turn to stone
"We're dead! We're so dead!"Jax said
"Can't you try summoning the dead!"I asked him
"No! I can't! Did you not here me before we came into this death trap!"Jax yelled
"Man I hope I give them food poisoning when they eat me!"I said
But soon Jax and I heard Electricity and the snakes painful cries
We slowly opened our eyes to see Lyra right there in front of us and behind the dead snakes
"Hey! You're okay!"Jax said
"Zeus must've saved us from the snakes"I said
"Yep, definitely Zeus who saved you"Lyra said
"Hey! You guys are okay!"Riley said as she ran towards us
"Yeah"I said
"We it looks like we've killed all the sons of Medusa, let's get our of here"Riley said
Riley POV
We all headed out of the lair
"Hey, guys look, it's a pick up truck"I pointed out
"Anyone know how to drive?"Jax asked
"I think I might be able to manage"I said
