"What do you mean?" I ask, then it hits me. "She has to come here and fix it herself, not send you, who's clearly overworked." (anyone get the Hercules reference? No?)
"Yes, overworked." Mom chimes in. I laugh through my nose. I see a flash of purple, and flick a spark in that direction. I hear a scream, and smirk.
"Thanks to my 'Isle eyes' I can see things that most would miss." I say, watching as Mal's figure watches me from the shadows. "Right, Mal?" I ask my twin.
"R- right." I let a maniacal grin spread across my features, and the heroes around me stiffen.
"Is that really all it takes to scare people away? Honestly, I can be 100 times scarier." I say. I turn to Mom. "I have fire powers!" I say like an overexcited child. My hair ignites and I furrow my eyebrows. "This again?" I say as I put out the fire.
"The hair igniting needs to go." Mom says.
"Exactly! No offence, Dad, but sometimes genetics are horrific." I say.
"Horrific as in wicked or horrific as in bad?" Dad asks. The other gods and goddesses look confused.
"Sometimes wicked, sometimes bad." I say. Dad nods. "Any who, Malie, what are you doing here?" I ask the fae.
"Apologizing." Mal says. "I'm sorry I said those things. You did what you had to do to survive. I mean, I did too at one point. Now your life is ruined because of me, I feel so horrible. I'm sorry." Mal sobs. I run over to her and give her a hug.
"It's okay, Mal. I love you, and you're my sister." I say.
"I love you too, sis." Mal says, sniffling.
"Let's get you a tissue, and you can see my room in a cloud." I say.
"Whatever you say, Hadie. You know this place better than me, and the pe- gods and goddess better than me too." I laugh.
"Of course I do. My dream has always been to be here, so I studied it." I say with a shrug. Mal laughs and a smile spreads across her face.
"Yeah, well, show me this cloud room." Mal says. We walk to my room. I show her and she marvels in awe. "Wow, this is beautiful."
"I didn't design it, so I'm not gonna take credit for this." I reply. We both sit down on my bed, talk, laugh and hang out for hours.
"I better get back to the mortals. Go and pick up Sofie later, okay?" Mal says I nod.
"No way am I leaving Sofie with that hooked pirate. Yes, I'll go get her." I say.
"Yeah, see you later."
"See you, sis." I say, laying down on my cloud-like bed.
THE NEXT DAY:
I get up, and decide to get dressed, but I still don't have my clothes from Evie's place. I sigh, and go pick out a flowery outfit. I smile at myself in the mirror. I walk out of my room and see Mom.
"I look just like you!" I say as I walk up to her. Mom smiles.
"Yes, you do."
"Kore, are you sure that a… VK is your daughter?" I spin and see my grandmother, Demeter.
"I'm sure. Hades took her to the Isle with him when he went. I mean, how could she not be my daughter? We have the same eyes! Those are your eyes, too." Mom says. Grandma looked over at me.
"Are you sure you're sure?"
"Yes, Mom." Mom replied, exasperated.
"Yeah, Grandmama." I say, not wanting Mom to become even more exasperated. I know from experience, that the more exasperated Mom gets, the angrier she is at anything.
"Grandmama? I could get on board with that." Grandma says. I smile.
"That's good. I have to go pick up my dog, Sofie." I say, turning to Mom.
"Your dad taught you to love dogs, too? Nice. Go get your dog, little goddess." Mom says. I smile and wave. I teleport myself to Evie's castle. I sigh, and knock on the door. Harry opens the door.
"Is Mal here?" I ask.
"No, she's at a meeting." Harry responds.
"When will she be back?" I asked the pirate, who glares at me.
"I don't know. Maybe when she gets back?"
"Thanks for being so helpful." I snarl.
"Wait a second. Hadie? Is that you?" Harry asks, wonder and confusion fill his eyes.
"Uh, yeah. Why would I come to get my clothes if I wasn't wearing something like this?" I ask. I see Harry rake over my outfit at least twice.
"I like the old Hadie better. The one who doesn't lie and doesn't wear pink."
"Not like I had a choice to wear any other color! I need my clothes so I don't wear this everywhere." I seethe. I hear a crack and a twig snap behind me, so I turn around. "Mom, Dad, Mal." I say with a smile.
"Came to help you." Dad says walking closer. I smile.
"I figured you'd have trouble with the others here, so I had to rush over to help you, sis." Mal says.
"Thanks, all of you." I say with a smile. They all smile back and Mal pushes Harry aside. I walk into my old room, and grab my makeup, clothes, accessories, and any other items that might be of any importance to me. Mom, Dad, and Mal took boxes of stuff to my room, while I filled the boxes. I decide to change my clothes. I pick up a few matching things, and throw an outfit , after about 20 minutes of back and forth, I finished. I grab the last box, and Sofie's leash. "Sofie!" I call. I wait for a few seconds. Nothing. I set down the box, but before I can get to the door, it closes. "Who's there?" I ask, annoyed.
"Me." a voice responds. I turn, and see my ex-boyfriend.
"Hook." I say simply. "What are you doing?"
"Wondering what a goddess like yourself is doing among us mortals?" Harry asks, running his hook through my hair.
"That's none of your business, Hook." I spit out. "And plus, the flirting doesn't work either. We are never getting back together." I say with a small hair flip. Harry steps even closer to me.
"Not like I wanted to anyways," he whispers then leaves. I grab the box, teleport it up, and teleport back down. I spot Sofie on the couch.
"Sofie!" I call. She bounds over and I teleport us up to Mount Olympus. I organize my closet, and have a late lunch. I sit at the kitchen counter in the kitchen for the gods and goddesses. "I could not eat, but I want to." I say when Mom walks in.
"True. I feel the same way sometimes." I nod, then go back to eating thousand-year-old grapes. "Mal said she had something to tell you. She dropped by about an hour ago, and I told her to come back in about an hour, so be prepared." Mom says.
"Got it. Thanks for letting me know." I say with a nod.
"You're welcome." Mom says, and leaves. I shove another grape into my mouth, and the door swings open again. A blur of purple and blue sits down next to me.
"Hi, Mal." I say, turning to my sister.
"Hi, Hadie." Mal greets. "I have something to tell you." I nod. "Ben is hosting a garden dinner party, and I'd like you to come." Mal says.
"I am not going. Every one of your friends, my old friends, hate me now. I can't go." I reason.
"It's something your-mom-would-wear themed. The next one, in three days, is something your dad would wear themed. The last one is a combination. Please come." Mal pleads.
"Fine, but only because you asked nicely and I don't have anything else to do with my time." I say with a smile.
"Yay! See you later!" Mal says, bouncing away.
"Bye." I respond. I sit there for a while thinking, what did I just get myself into?
A/N: it's joe mama themed.
Okay, who else saw the tension between Harry and Hadie? If it was just me, y'all are blind. Like, dang, you really raked over her outfit TWICE. And then flirted with her? But after she was really rude to you. C'mon, let's scream at our computer screens until they get back together.
Any who, Mal and Hadie are the best sisters ever. Why can't my sisters just be like that? Is it that hard? Apperently, YES. But, hey, if my sisters won't be nice, then I'll write out nice sisters. Have a great day everybody. And I mean it.
