Riley POV

"Watch where your going?!"Jax yelled as we swerved the car

"I thought you said you could manage!"Lyra yelled also and I swerved the car again

"I'm only twelve years old, and my foot can barely touch the brakes, I'm doing my best here!"I yelled back

"Watch out for that Prius!!"Logan said and I swerved the car

"Watch out! There's a hearse!"Lyra said and I once again swerved the car

"Where are we supposed to be going?"Jax asked

"Washington DC"I told him

"Ok, so we have to keep driving for about three more hours"Logan said

"Yeah, all we have to do is not die"I said

"MASSIVE TRUCK!!!!!"All three of them said and I swerved the truck and drive off of a hill

The car crashes and explodes but luckily after we left the sons of Medusa's lair I put on the flight shows that Adam gave me and I grabbed Lyra, Jax and Logan and slowly floated down

"That was really close"Jax said

"I think my heart stopped beating for a second"Logan said

"Just so we all agree, we're never letting Riley drive ever again"Lyra said

"Yup"Jax said

"Totally agree 100%"Logan said

"Ok, so how are we going to get to Washington DC?"I asked

"I think I might have an idea"Lyra said

"What is it?"I asked

"I didn't want to do this but..."Lyra said and suddenly we were surrounded by a gust of wind and we were launched into the air and then the next thing we know we're falling from the sky...well thanks to the flying shoes I'm slowly floating and Lyra's floating down too but Jax and Logan fall and crash into some crates

"Why?"Jax said I agony

"Hey, you guys okay?"I asked

"No"Logan replied

"Since when could you do that Lyra?" Jax asked

"I've had my powers for some time but I can use the power of wind just fine, it's the lightning powers that I have trouble with"Lyra replied

"Ok, but now that we're in Washington DC, we should be heading to the National Geographic museum"I said and then we left and went to the museum

We soon arrive at the museum

"Woah! This place is huge!"Logan said

"This is the first time I've been to DC"Riley said

"So what do we do?"Jax asked

"Let's go to the bathroom"I replied

"I don't think going to take a piss or a shit is going to help us"Jax said

"No, we go into the stalls and stay there until closing time and when everyone leaves we look and find the pearl"I said

"That's a good idea Ry, ok, come on Jax let's go"Logan said before he dragged Jax off to the bathroom

"Guess it's you and me"I said

"Yup"Lyra replied

"So, about your powers, you seem to have full control over them"I said

"Well it's sort of an on and off thing, they only work when I really need them to"I said

"That's interesting, come on let's hurry up, the museum closes in the next half hour"I said and the two of us went into the bathroom

The half hour actually went by really fast and once the timer was up we headed out and met Jax and Logan

"Ok, where's the Pearl?"Logan asked

"It could be in the Ancient Greek section"I said

"Yeah, let's go and see"Lyra said

We checked all over the Ancient Greek section and we didn't find anything

"Where is that stupid Pearl?!!!!"I yelled

"I don't know"Logan said

"Hey guys I found it!"Jax said

"Where is it?"I asked

"It's in that skeleton of a cyclops"Jax said as he pointed to the skeletal cyclops eye

"Yes, we finally found it, now I just have to fly up there"I said but as soon as I got ready to fly up there I heard Lyra said

"Um, what's wrong with that skeleton"

"It looks like it's decaying...but in reverse"Jax said

"I think it's coming back to life"Logan

"Wait...that's Polyphemus!"Lyra said

"Half-bloods! Welcome to my trap! Now get over here!"Polyphemus said as he tried to grab us but we ran

I brought out my pen and clicked it and it turned into the blade and I started to attack him by slashing him on the leg and dodged when we tried to grab me

"You gotta be faster than that you dumb cyclops"I taunted him

"Why I outta-!!"He was cut off when Jax stabbed him in the foot

"You little!"Polyphemus tried to grab Jax but he also jumped out of the way

"Guys! Get him to stay still so I can get a clear shot!"Lyra said as she aimed her bow at him but she didn't have time to shoot before he smacked her away

"Lyra!"I yelled

Lyra POV

I landed on the ground hard when I got smacked by Polyphemus

"My bow!"I said once I realized my bow was destroyed

"What am I supposed to do now?"I asked myself

"Maybe I can stab him with the arrows"I said before I took out an arrow and it began to glow and then it turned into a lightning bolt

"Woah!"I said

"Ok, I can make this work"I said before I pointed the bolt at Polyphemus and lightning shot out and struck him and made him fall onto the ground and the lightning bolt disappeared once it struck him

"Ok, that's pretty cool"I said

Riley POV

"What was that?"I asked

"Was that a lightning bolt?"Jax asked

"That's it! I'm done playing around!"Polyphemus said as he shook the ground making us fall and he looked at us and grabbed us in his hands

Logan POV

I saw that Riley and Jax were about to get eaten I wondered what I could do but I'm just a satyr, I'm not like them

"Wait...the mirror"I said as I remembered that Adam gave me a mirror, I took it out of my pocket and I found a chandelier pointed the mirror towards it and it reflected off it and into Polyphemus's eye

"AAAA!!!" He screamed and dropped Riley and Jax

Riley POV

Polyphemus dropped us because of a light that shined in his eye, I took this opportunity to fly up and stab him straight in the eye

He fell over onto his back and he turned back into the skeleton, I grabbed the Pearl that was in his eye and tucked it into my pocket

"Yeah! We did it!"Jax said

"Well not to brag or anything but I did save your behinds from getting eaten"Logan said

"Yeah you did. Thanks Logan"I said

"No problem. Now...how are we going to get to our next destination?"Logan asked

We all sighed knowing we'll have to find another mode of transportation
