Silently Luigi made his way back inside the castle undetected, he had been to Princess Peach's castle hundreds of times before, he knew every entrance. It was nearly dawn by the time Luigi made his way undetected into Princess Peach's Castle just barely evading the sun's early pink and yellow mixing with pinkish clouds. A cold sweat formed on Luigi's brow as he made his way to his room with a sigh of regretful relief, now he could drop his guard and let the remorse come as he fell to his knees as tears fell from his kind blue eyes. The Green clad plumber was able to suppress his sobbing and instead was able to grieve with heavy breathing as if in a fever dream, Luigi gasped sharply as he felt his forehead as his skin was hot to the touch and in a spinning daze collapsed into his bed, the soft cushy mattress absorbed Luigi's impact.
Instantly the dream began Luigi could see himself at first it was just himself in a black nothingness but soon his senses were bombarded as a thousand voices were shouting into an enclosed box causing Luigi to fall to his knees and put his hands over his ears trying to shut the voices out. Luigi let out a shout of pain the sound of broken glass engulfed the black nothingness, before Luigi looked up and saw Daisy in a black lacy dress with her head hung low with her her eyes closed with Mr. L slowly forming behind her with his hands ravaging her curves one hand caressing her right thigh, the other hands clutching at her heaving buxom breasts all while the whole time never breaking eye contact with Luigi even as his lips engulfed Daisy's his predatory smile never seemed to leave his face as he hauntingly shot Luigi a wink.
"NO!" Screamed Luigi, his voice echoing throughout his head.
Suddenly Luigi heard sharp footsteps behind him, quickly he turned around with only a single light shining down, Luigi didn't have to guess who was only being half shown by the light, those Silver eyes gave it away. Nonchalantly Mr. L tossed three severed heads of Waluigi, Wario, and the Toad guard, their eyes wide in silent horror and mouths stretched in macabre horror.
"That's three, we need to pick up the pace" Said Mr. L Sadistically.
"You're a monster!" Said Luigi disgusted.
"No! We're a monster" Said Mr. L almost bursting into laughter.
"You won't be laughing when Professor E Gadd provides me the cure, even I must admit I await the day I watch you take your final breath" Said Luigi standing up for himself.
"Or who knows maybe a little bit of me has seeped into you" Said Mr. L not at all intimidated.
"I stopped you once tonight, I can stop you again" Threatened Luigi.
"For the moment Weegee...for the moment" Said Mr. L his voice deep and smooth.
"I still have enough of that formula to keep you at bay until I can get the cure and be rid of you" Said Luigi harshly.
"There is no cure for me, you fool I'm apart of you as your are apart of me" Said Mr. L hauntingly.
"At least I'll know you won't be touching Daisy tonight you bastard!" Said Luigi with hate in his voice.
"Oh for fucks sake you created me I didn't create some loser alter ego to make myself feel better, take some fuckin responsibility in your life for once" Said Mr. L snapping at Luigi who tried to strike Mr. L only to his fist to pass right through them
"Yeah and I'm the crazy one, when you think you can hit your better looking split personality" Mocked Mr. L before disappearing into thin air.
Luigi awoke in the early noon hours with a sharp gasp sweat still on his forehead but his energy restored he sat up before his breathing calmed and groggily looked out the window. He tossed his blanket off of him and got ready for the day, once done with his morning routine Luigi straightened the collar on his green shirt and just as he was about to walk outside his door swung open nearly hitting Luigi in the face with Mario standing in the doorway.
"Oh Luigi thank god you're alright" Said Mario wrapping his arms around his baby brother.
"Mario! What's wrong?" Asked Luigi knowing fully the reason for Mario's alarm.
"They found another Toad guard dead last night, and Toad was assaulted by the killer" Explained Mario.
"Oh my god, how is Peach handling this?" Asked Luigi dishonestly with false concern.
"Not well, the Kingdom is in an uproar. Now she issuing house to house searches and now advising citizens to stay in doors after dark" Explained Mario.
"I graciously accept the award, and they'll never catch us, it's you and me Weegee inseparable, just like brother's" Said Mr.L with manic glee.
The two brothers made their way downstairs, Peach and Daisy were waiting for them in the waiting room. Peach lay slumped in a chair, her left hand on her forehead a wine glass filled to the brim with wine so red it looked like blood. Mario and Luigi shared a look of concern and Mario sighed, while Mario went over to his bride to be and put his hand on her shoulder to which she returned with exhausted affection, Luigi sat across from the two next to Daisy who was NOT looking at Luigi. There was an awkward silence in the room and no one had the courage to speak up. Luigi kept trying to make eye contact with Daisy but to no avail.
"Alright I know what we're all thinking so I'll just say it, we're getting nowhere in this investigation, so I'm open to suggestions, I'm desperate to try anything" Said Peach in desperation taking a large sip on her wine.
"Peach you're being too hard on yourself, we just need to step back and think this through, who would have possible motives?" Said Mario trying to rationalize the situation.
"Only no one we know would kill the likes of Waluigi and Wario and pull a one eighty and kill a Toad guard, the whole thing doesn't make sense" Lied Daisy with false mental exhaustion sharing a momentary glance with Luigi.
"Well let's eliminate the obvious Bowser he was allied with Wario and Waluigi, it's not King Boo's style, it's scrambling my brain no one is a suspect and yet everyone is a suspect at the same time" Said Peach thinking methodically.
"Jeez what a buzzkill" Chuckled Mr.L
"Luigi you're being awfully quiet" Pointed out Peach.
"Oh it's uh just all the talk of murder I guess had frightened me, maybe we should issue a city wide manhunt, from now on no guards go anywhere alone" Offered Luigi.
"That's not a bad idea, Luigi" Said Mario.
"Well I must address my kingdom and reassure their faith in their Princess' ' Said Peach as she took another swig of wine before she got up from her chair taking Mario by the hand with her.
This left Luigi and Daisy alone once again. The brunette princess still refused to meet his eyes, an awkward silence was mounting between the two. Finally Luigi mustered up enough courage to try and talk to his princess lover but was immediately interrupted by Daisy.
"Who is Mr.L?!" Demanded Daisy.
"What?" Asked Luigi playing dumb.
"Don't lie to me Luigi please! I know you know who he is, he's mentioned your name twice, so if you really care about me you'll tell me who he is" Said Daisy on the verge of tears.
Luigi felt a lump in his throat, wanting to tell Daisy the whole truth but Mr.L holding him back. He could feel his face begin to burn and he could feel the tears starting to form in his eyes and tried to hold them back and was somewhat successful, however Luigi had taken on more of a somber tone. Those Cobalt eyes tried to avoid contact with Daisy's own sapphire eyes but Daisy would not let his gaze escape hers, Luigi was forced to look into those two loves eyes that he had fallen in love with so long ago. A tight squeeze on his heart made it all the more difficult to cope with; it felt as if Mr.L had control over Luigi's words while the black and green clad plumber chuckled sadistically. With a sigh Luigi reluctantly lied to the woman he loved.
"How do you know that name?" Said Luigi in a serious tone.
"He introduced himself a few days ago" Said Daisy getting red in the face.
Luigi only sighed pathetically.
"He is Mario's and my third twin, he was the bad seed of the family, always was always has been always will be, our family had disowned him we distanced ourselves from him as much as possible" Luigi lied genuinely.
"Why would you lie Luigi to...me?" Said Daisy a little hurt.
"It's not something me and Mario are exactly proud of, he's always been a criminal type...not one to be trusted especially around women, he's disgraced the Mario name" Said Luigi ashamed.
"You know I thought you could have told me anything, after all we've been through...Luigi I don't care about that I just wanted you to be honest with me" Said Daisy grabbing at Luigi's shirt and pathetically pounding her fists against Luigi's chest as she silently wept onto Luigi's shoulder.
Daisy stopped her pounding as soon has he wrapped his arm around her, as soon as he did she opened her eyes and could feel Luigi's heart beat against his chest as he comforted her, and ache in Daisy's heart compelled her to squeeze tightly and once her tears had stopped she could only whimper in a sultry tone. It was then that Daisy felt Luigi stroke her hair and cupped her cheek in his hand.
"I'm sorry Daisy...you're right I should have told you, I can understand why you wouldn't give me a second chance but if you just grant me one more chance I swear I will never lie to you again" Said Luigi, his face and Daisy's getting ever closer.
There were a few moments of uneasy silence. Before Daisy pressed her lips against Luigi's softly, their lips aching for more as Daisy withdrew her lips from Luigi, Daisy could only lightly chuckle before sniffling.
"I forgive you"Said Daisy wrapping her arms around her green clad plumber in an affectionate embrace.
"Did he hurt you?"Asked Luigi, the two still embraced.
Daisy hesitated to answer, almost ashamed that she had succumbed to his seductive charm twice. The princess only squeezed tighter at Luigi's question.
"No, he… troubled me, but it always ends abruptly" Lied Daisy softly.
The two broke apart.
"I promise you Daisy Mr.L will never trouble you again" Said Luigi taking Daisy's hand in his, staring truthfully into her blue eyes that selt Luigi's soul on fire.
The brunette smiled hopefully with hidden shame in her smile.
"Luigi, I want you to do me a favor" Said Daisy nervously.
"Um, sure, anything for you Daisy" Said Luigi faithfully.
"Meet me in my room at around eight thirty, there's something important I want to discuss with you" Explained Daisy, her shining sapphire eyes playing coy but a blush on Daisy's face nonetheless.
"What would that be?" Asked Luigi curiously.
"It's nothing I can tell you directly, it's something that I have to show you…" Said Daisy with a small mischevious but honest smile on her face.
"Just promise you'll be there, believe me it will be worth it" Said Daisy before shooting Luigi a wink and departing leaving Luigi feeling slightly numb but giddy.
"Alright Luigi!" Said Mr.L diabolically, Luigi however was now ready to fight.
Peach pushed a red curtain aside as the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom cheered, Mario followed behind his soon to be bride. There was an uneasy silence in Peach that was never shown before, Mario grew concerned however could not find the words to comfort his fiance. The two had reached a balcony overlooking the gardens of her castle looking bright royal exactly like someone would expect Peach's castle to look like. Stressfully she placed one hand on the balcony and one to soothe her forehead, Mario placed his hand on his blonde fiance's shoulder, and Peach reciprocated his gesture rubbing her cheek against his hand.
"Mario, do you think I'm a bad ruler?" Asked Princess Peach looking down on herself.
"No of course not Peach, I think you're doing your best my sweet Princess" Said Mario trying to comfort Peach.
"It's just with this murderer still not captured the Kingdom will lose faith in me" Said Peach honestly uncomfortably.
"Your subjects look to you for guidance Peach, you've defended your kingdom from the likes of Bowser, King Boo, Wario rest in peace, Waluigi rest in peace, you've already proved your capability serving on the front lines with me as well as Luigi and Daisy, and no one especially me has more faith in you than I do" Said Mario planting a small kiss on Peach's forehead.
Peach smiled hopefully at Mario.
"This is why you're going to be my husband!" Said Peach as she grabbed Mario in an innocent pure kiss.
The two lost themselves in the moment before Daisy clearing her throat interrupted the two. Daisy only smirked at Peach's as well as Mario's blush, Peach was utterly speechless while Mario only slightly giggled nervously.
"Sorry, am I interrupting…" Said Daisy coyly as a certain playfulness about her today.
"Daisy! Do you always have to sneak up on people first Luigi now us? ``said a startled Peach.
"Well I was hoping just us gals could talk for a moment in private" Said Daisy implying Mario to scram.
"Don't worry I'm going" Said Mario, a subtle smile on his face getting the hint.
"So?" Said Peach before clearing her throat.
"What did you want to talk about?" Asked Peach.
"Well…" Started Daisy.
