Hanna walked through the doors of the Marin house with shopping bags in her hand after her shopping spree with Mona. She walked inside and headed upstairs and set her bags in her room. She looked over her outfits putting them back in their organized places. While looking at them she started putting together an outfit for Noel's khan's party on Friday.

Hanna frowned thinking about Noel. Yeah, he threw huge and amazing parties and was rich plus had amazing looks, but he is such an asshole. She never knew how someone as sweet as Sean could be best friends with someone so cold-hearted and cruel as him.

Soon Hanna finished her clothes and headed downstairs. It was only 4:47 and usually, her mom wasn't home till 6. She headed towards the kitchen trying to figure out what low-calorie food she wanted to eat when her phone started ringing.

She looked down and felt herself get nervous as she saw Sean's name pop on her phone.

She cleared her throat and mentally prepared herself before answering the phone "hello?

"Hey Hanna I just got out early from practice do you want to study?" Sean asked out of breath and tired. She heard faint yelling and laughing from other guys where she assumed was the locker room.

Hanna felt hope rise within her maybe they could finally do something further than what they usually do.

"Hi, Sean and Yeah come over!" She exclaimed back in reply.

"Great I'm gonna take a shower at my house then I'll come over cause I'm all sweaty."

"Okay sounds like a plan," Hanna said heading back upstairs to her room in excitement.

"Alright see you then Later." He said before hanging up.

Hanna squealed she had to change her outfit to something that said she was hot and sex me but without looking like a total slut. She looked through her clothes and seen a cute red mini shirt and a matching black and red top.

She put it on and touched up her hair and fixed her makeup. She looked in the mirror and breathed

This is it Hanna Marin we are going to step out there and try to score for a make-out session. Or at least more than a stupid peck.

Her phone started ringing again. She looked down to see Emily.

"Hello?" Hanna said you putting the phone on speaker then setting it down on her vanity while looking at the gold necklace in her hand compared to a silver necklace.

"hey, Hanna, what are you doing tomorrow morning?" Emily asked curiously.

"Um, I don't know...going to school just like everyone else," Hanna answered confused.

Emily sighed exasperatedly "I mean like are you doing anything before school tomorrow? Can we meet at the brew?"

"Oh! Um sure. I thought you always hung out with Ben though is everything okay?" She asked

"Yeah, it's just that I need space from him. ." Emily said sighed.

"Looks like we both have boy trouble. It's hard getting Sean to kiss me for more than 2 seconds." Hanna sighed.

"Have you talked to him about it?" Emily questioned.

Hanna chose the silver one and fasted it around her neck. " yeah but he dismissed it and says I'm overthinking it. Like I just want start something more physical I mean we've been dating long enough right?" Hanna asked. She knew a lot of couples and all of them were kissing, groping, and were even having sex way before the 3-month mark.

Emily hummed for a second in thought " I honestly think you guys should be at least kissing but maybe he's scared or something."

Hanna breathed out in frustration "do you think I'm being desperate?" Hanna asked. That was the last thing she wanted to be but she wanted to have that bond in their relationship.

"No. If anything you've been patient." Emily answered

"Then what the hell is wrong with me. You lose weight and get a new look and a guy can't even kiss you." Hanna scowled.

"Maybe today is your day, are you doing anything today?" Emily tried to make things better.

"I'm hoping it is. Sean coming on his way as we speak and my mom won't be home for an hour and thirty minutes so I think I can work it out." Hanna informed Emily hopefully.

Emily sensed that Hanna didn't want to talk about it anymore since it was starting to get a little too touchy for Hanna. So she changed the topic much to Hanna's relief.

"So there's this girl that moved in Alison's old house.. her name is Mya." Emily smiled.

"Is she cute? And does she go to our school?" Hanna asked.

"Yeah, she is I guess." Emily trailed off awkwardly.

Hanna thought for a split second about Emily's shy behavior but just pushed it out of her mind.

"But Um yes she goes to our school she starts tomorrow I think. It may be the day after tomorrow I'm not sure but I'm supposed to hang out with her so maybe-" Emily started the word vomit and couldn't stop.

"Woah Emily chill! Breathe for a second! That's some serious word vomit are you okay? Hanna exclaimed.

"Yeah just got distracted in my thoughts." Emily chuckled.

Hanna was going to ask her what was going on when she heard knocking and Sean's voice.

"Sounds like he's here," Emily said grateful for the distraction.

"Yup I have to go. I'll call you later on tonight? Or in the morning? Bye Em!" Hanna quickly said before hanging up and headed downstairs with her phone in her hand.

Before opening the door she smoothed out her skirt.

Sean stood there with his backpack and a few textbooks in his arms that he carried effortlessly.

"Hey, Sean come in!" She said moving out the way so he can walk in.

He walked inside smiling "hi babe. So I brought calculus?" He said gesturing towards one of the books in his hands.

"Okay well, you can come up here and work," Hanna said heading towards the staircase.

When she notices Sean wasn't following she faced him with a questioning look.

" I'm not going up there, it's the no-boy zone?" Sean said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Who cares it's not like she's gonna catch us." Hanna tried to convince him.

"No deal Han ." He said before heading to the kitchen. Hanna mentally sighed. She tried not to let this dampen her hopes and just followed him into the room.

30 minutes went by and Sean was doing math and explaining to Hanna how to do it. Hanna wasn't paying attention to his boring lectures about math. Instead, she was coming up with a plan to get him to kiss her.

After thinking about a decent enough plan she immediately gets into action.

"Hey, are you thirsty?" She asked him.

He looked up from his notes and smiled "yeah that sounds great."

Hanna got up and got and grabbed a soda out of the fridge and set it on the table. She then put her hands on his shoulders and rubbed them.

"Thanks, Hanna," Sean said to her.

"No problem." Hanna trailed of mentally preparing herself before putting a soft kiss on his neck.

Sean moved away from her kiss "Hanna we need to be studying"

Hanna walked back to her seat and moved it closer to him before sitting down.

"Come on Sean my mom's not home, it's just us together," Hanna said softly.

"I don't want to do that right now I want to focus on my work. I have to pass my test so I can go to my football game." He said then writing down on his school book.

The room fell silent for a while and both of them just worked. Well, Sean did, Hanna's mind was running wild.

"Sean, do you see me that way?" Hanna said breaking the silence.

"What?" Sean said looking up confused.

"Like it's like you don't like me physically, as you see me like that middle school girl." Hanna said spilling out how she has been feeling for a while.

"I liked that girl in middle school and I like you now." He said smiling reassuringly.

"Yeah, I know you like me. But do you like me as a friend or do you like me as a girlfriend?"

Sean leaned forward and pressed a chase kiss on Hanna's lips. Hanna returned it in surprise.

Soon he pulled away "would a friend kiss another friend like that?"

Hanna shook her head no with a big smile on her face. To anyone, this might be something small but to Hanna, this was major progress in her eyes.

Hanna did her usual morning routine shower, hair, and her outfit for the day. She looked at herself in the mirror she had a light blue summer spaghetti strapped dress. It showed off her cleavage and he nice legs. She put on white and light blue heels to match the dress she then put on a white bracelet, an ankle bracelet, and a white sparkly necklace. She smoothed through her flat-ironed hair and smiled. All she needed was lipgloss.

As soon as she grabbed her gloss she heard honking.

She knew that was Emily outside and quickly gathered her things and headed downstairs.

She walked into the fridge to get herself water. Her mom walked in as well starting the coffee maker.

"I might be home late tonight there is a big conference so I'm leaving money for you to order some food," Ashley said grabbing a mug from the cabinet.

"Okay, mom but I might be at one of their houses tonight so we'll see. I have to go Emily's outside waiting for me." Hanna said to her mom heading towards the door.

"Love you!" Ashley exclaimed to her daughter.

"Love you too!" Hanna replied before closing the door.

Hanna and Emily sat on the couch at the Brew drinking their coffee.

"He totally kissed me right then and there after I told him!" Hanna gushed.

Emily smiled happy that her friend's love life is improving. " that's great! So I'm guessing that would progress in your Hanna Marin chart." Emily teased.

Hanna scoffed at the mention of her last year's science project she brutally messed up on last year during finals "ugh please don't bring up that old hag and her ballon projects."

Emily laughed in reply at Hanna's retort then checked her watch.

"We should get going to school." Emily stood up grabbing her beg.

"What? But it's only like 7:00 school doesn't start for another hour." Hanna whined. She didn't know why Emily made her wake up earlier than usual.

"I just wanted to be there so we don't have to deal with the teens that can't drive," Emily said.

Hanna could tell she was making up an excuse but she figured to wait till they were at school to bring it up.

After the drive of Hanna playing Taylor swift's Reputation album on full blast while Emily shot her amused glances and occasionally sang along, they sat in front of campus at the tables.

"So I have another swim meet sometime next week and they're having tryouts for captain," Emily said crunching on a carrot stick she brought from the brew.

"I'll be there. But most importantly are you trying out?" Hanna asked.

"I don't know yet. It doesn't matter if I'm captain or not I just love swimming" Emily shrugged.

"I think you should try out you are the best swimmer on the team and no one works as hard as you do in the water," Hanna said like it was obvious.

Emily fixed her mouth to replay but was interrupted "Emily?" A voice asked.

Hanna for a brief second saw Emily freeze before turning to face the voice. Hanna looked over the source of the voice.

She must've been new cause Hanna never seen her around before. She had beautiful caramel skin and long straight brownish-black hair. She wore a red spaghetti strapped shirt with ripped skinny jeans and black boots. She also had a black mesh jacket on Hanna really liked.

"Hi, Mya," Emily said shyly which Hanna also picked up on.

"This is one of my best friends Hanna, and this is Mya she's new." Emily introduced with a smile.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you!" Mya exclaimed with a smile gracing her face.

"You too! And thank god we have someone here that has great taste in fashion. That jacket is cute." Hanna complimented with approval.

"Thanks," Mya said sitting down next to Emily and across from Hanna.

"So how are you liking it here so far?" Hanna asked sipping her coffee.

"It's great I met some wonderful people." Mya smiled playfully elbowing Emily's arm. Emily gave a slight blush but smiled nonetheless.

"Well I hope you like the school, it's pretty okay just stay away from the p.e teacher She's a real dick," Hanna said annoyed about the project.

Emily snorted "oh yeah major control freak."

"Note taken to stay away from controlling p.e teacher that will make me run for no reason, got it." Mya joked making the girls laugh.

"Okay well I have to go to my band room, I'll see you after school Emily?" Mya stood up

"Yeah definitely, "Emily said smiling in her direction.

"Great! I'll see you around Hanna and it was nice meeting you." Maya said.

"You too!" Hanna called out to Mya.

Once she was out of earshot Hanna looked dead at Emily "spill."
