Hanna inwardly panicked. I just got out of a relationship not that long ago and I'm already wanting to fuck someone else?

I mean shouldn't I be way sadder? Or be morning a little bit more?

She jumped as the door suddenly opened and her mom entered the room.

"Jeez, mom don't scare me like that," Hanna said slightly annoyed.

Her mom just smiled amused "jumpy today?"

Hanna just sighed sitting back on her bed.

Her mom looked at her with concern. "Are you okay?" She asked sitting by her daughter.

"I just had a weird dream."

"And I take it that it's bothering you," Ashley asked.

"Yeah, I don't know why it happened. It wasn't a nightmare but... I don't know how to explain it." Hanna sighed, she couldn't fully explain how she almost fucked this guy in her dream.

"Well, Hanna some dreams are messages or signs. Maybe the dream you had doesn't make sense but in time it will." Ashley says rubbing her daughter's back comfortingly.

A sign? Of her and Caleb? It literally makes no sense. She's just helping him. They have nothing in common.

Her mom was going to speak when her watch alarm went off.

"Well, honey I have to go. There's money on the counter if you wanna order out. I should be back on Monday or Tuesday." Her mom said standing up.

"Okay, mom. Love you." She said standing up as well and hugging her.

Her mom returned it before heading out "alright have a good day at school and there's coffee in the coffee maker." She said heading downstairs.

"Thanks, mom." She managed to call out before hearing her mom shut the front door.

Hanna walked downstairs and peeked out the window to see her mom's car gone.

She went to the door and opened it to see Caleb waiting with a towel and clothes.

"Good morning roommate." He said amused.

Hanna felt a blush coming up so she turned facing away from him making him confused.

"So uh we leave in an hour," Hanna stated going to the coffee pot.

"Are you okay?" He asked confused.

"Yeah.." she said simply grabbing a mug and pouring coffee in it "why wouldn't I be."

She didn't hear anything so she assumed he left. She turned around to go to the island and saw Caleb standing there.

She jumped spilling hot coffee all over her black shirt.

She hissed out in pain nearly dropping the coffee mug.

"Are you okay? Let me get-" Caleb said rushing to her.

"God I'm fine Caleb! Just go take a shower!" She snapped at him.

He looked taken aback and Hanna immediately felt regret.

Before any of them can say anything a knock on the door sounded.

Hanna turned around quickly afraid it was her mom just to see her dad.

"Shit." She muttered she quickly gave him a look that said "play along" before opening the door.

"Hey." She said unenthusiastically.

"Hey, Hanna. you lost weight, it's barely enough for me to hug," he said walking inside and hugging her.

Hanna felt and annoyed at his comment. Plus Caleb was standing right there.

She pulled away folding her arms.

"Who's this?" Her dad asked eyes scanning Caleb, disapprovingly.

"Caleb. He's my partner in my class for an assignment." She said bluntly.

"Nice to meet you." He said politely.

"Excuse me young man can you give us some space to talk," Tom said ignoring him.

"Dad!" Hanna snapped.

"No, it's okay I'll go work on the project," Caleb said.

She knew he was just going to take a shower.

When he left she turned to him with a glare "what's your deal!" She snapped.

"Nothing, I just came to make sure you and your date are coming to the event. You must be there." Her father said.

"Yeah, I'm gonna be there." She said folding her arms.

"So where's your mom?" He asked glancing around the house.

"She left for work about ten minutes ago."

"Ahh, what a shame. It would've been nice to say hi. Anyway, I'll keep you updated on the schedule. It should be a little after your spring break, that's what Katie told me."

"Of course she did." Hanna snipped.

"Okay well, I'll let you get back to getting ready, have a good day, and tell your mom hi." He said before heading out the door.

Hanna glared at his back and closed the door.

After getting ready Hanna and Caleb headed to school. It was a silent car ride there. She parked at the parking lot anxious to get out of the horrible silence that she caused, she got out of the car and went to go find her friends.

She saw them sitting outside at the tables.

"Hey Han, you okay?" Aria asked eating a carrot stick.

"No, I'm totally having a shit day." She told them all sitting down.

"Why what's wrong?" Emily asked.

"I had a weird dream and then my mom said it was a sign then-"

"Wait what was the dream about?" Spencer asked before sipping her coffee.

"Well um... it's about Caleb..." Hanna said blushing.

"Oh my god was it a... wet dream?" Aria asked smiling.

Hanna didn't answer and her blush just deepens.

"Oh my god, Hanna!" Spencer laughed.

"Shut up!" Hanna snapped defensively.

"Hey, so what else happened," Emily said trying to help stop any problems from forming.

Hanna just sighed "well my dad came and was rude to Caleb and was talking about the stupid event thing he has and I don't want to go but I have to."

"Wait why did your dad see Caleb?" Spencer asked.

"We're working on that stupid project, you're missing the point!" Hanna snapped. She couldn't tell the real reason why he was there.

Spencer put her hands up in surrender "calm down Hanna, maybe it just means you might find Caleb physically attractive."

"For now don't think about the dance too much cause next weekend is spring break. And we just thought of something that we could do." Emily said.

"What are you talking about?" she replied confused.

"Well, we just thought we could all use a break. So how's a trip to California? Spencer has a guest house out there." Aria informed Hanna grabbing her phone out of her bag to show her the house.

"Wait how is this going to work? Like with the cost?" Hanna asked looking at the pictures of the four bedroom house.

"Well if we all save up the money we'll have enough. Toby, Caleb, and mya are going. We'll have enough to cover tickets, food, shopping, and any other expenses " Emily told her.

"It's true I did the math." Spencer chirped cockily.

"Does anyone else know?"

"Well Toby is going I know that but I'm hoping you can get Caleb to go..." Spencer trailed off.

"What? Why me?" Hanna asked furrowing her eyebrows.

"Cause Toby says he fancies you." Spencer smiled. No fucking way. That has to be a lie.

"He does not!" Hanna said in denial.

Before they can answer Lucas approached them "Hanna are you ready?"

Hanna and the girls gave each other confused glances. "Ready for what?"

"Your homecoming queen pictures, Sean's on his way. I need you to change into the dress that you picked out in the picture room." Lucas said.

You've got to be kidding me

Hanna sighed standing up "well I'll be going." Hanna said saying fair well to the girls with three main things on her mind.

1. does Caleb really like me?

2. this spring break trip

3. her dad

Hanna stood there in the dress in the photo room. She honestly didn't want to see Sean. She couldn't believe the guy she wanted since was 13 backfired.

Looking in the mirror to make sure her hair was okay she puts the crown on her head.

"There you are let's get this done," Lucas called out.

Hanna turned to see Sean wearing a suit.

Sean just rolled his eyes and snapped " Let's get this over with Lucas."

"Don't talk to him like that." Hanna spat at Sean.

"Woah come on guys let's hurry up. You stand here." He said pointing at the 'x's at the ground. "And you right there."

Both of them silently got into their spaces while Lucas got behind the camera.

"God this tension is thick," Lucas muttered.

"I need you two to get a little closer." He said.

Both of them uncomfortably got closer.

"Okay smile." He said.

Both of them smiled like there was nothing wrong.

"Good. Now put your arms around her and smile."

Both did as told and the picture was taken.

"Okay, all done," Lucas said looking at the pictures.

Hanna quickly grabbed her things and left out the uncomfortable room.

After school Hanna waited by the car. Back in her regular clothes, she was nervous. She knew she had to apologize to him.

She saw Caleb walking up to the passenger seat of the car

Come on Hanna we're going to apologize. We're going to apologize.

Caleb approached, here's her chance.

"Alright let's go," Hanna said cowering out.

They both got into the car and once again it was silent.

The silence was killing her.

Walking into the house she closed and locked the door.

She turned and saw him walking towards the kitchen.

Taking a deep breath she braced herself.

"Caleb!"

He turned around looking at her questioningly.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I was having a bad day and I shouldn't have reacted like that." Hanna said sitting down.

A faint smile appeared on his lips "don't worry about it."

"And I'm also sorry about my dad this morning, he's a prick." Hanna apologized.

"Like I said it's okay. I'm used to parents not liking me." He shrugged.

"Well fuck parents anyways. We're seniors." Hanna said.

"True." He smirked.

Then the conversation with her and the girls came to mind.

"The group and I were planning a trip to California for spring break and we wanted to know if you wanted to come," Hanna asked.

Caleb looks surprised "to California?"

"Yeah. I know it's sudden but you should come."

"Mmm, I don't know." Caleb teased.

"Why's that?"

"Well, I don't know if this certain someone wants me to go." He shrugged.

"Who? The group wants you to go?" Hanna asked. She wasn't going to lie to herself she wanted him to go.

"You. I mean I'm already staying at your house. I'm pretty sure you'd want a break. I can leave the house till you come back." Caleb said scratching the back of his neck.

"Hey! I don't mind that I'm helping you at all. It's actually nice to have company while my mom is gone for the weekend and sometimes more. Plus I wouldn't want you out on the streets. Lastly, I want you to go." She reassured him.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Alright. I'll go. When do we leave?"

"Next weekend." She answered.

Caleb just nodded "sounds like a plan."

It was silent for a moment before Hanna spoke up "so do you have any plans?"

"Besides from camping in your basement not really." He joked.

"Well, you wanna watch a movie with me?" Hanna asked.

"Don't you have one of those parties to go to?"

"I usually go but I don't want to see Sean," Hanna said shrugging.

"Sure."

For the rest of the night, Hanna and Caleb watched movies laughing and making jokes. Hanna much to her surprise got along with him really well.

They both got hungry so they ordered pizza. While they waited, they were in her bedroom watching Mean Girls "so what're your plans after high school?" Caleb asked

"Don't laugh but I want to be a fashion designer. My dad thinks it's stupid." Hanna replied rolling her eyes.

He frowned "that's not stupid. Especially if you're good at it."

Hanna grabbed the drawing book by her bed stand. She opened the book and showed him her sketches.

"It's not much, but yeah..." she trailed off embarrassed.

"Hanna I don't know shit about clothes and I know this is gonna sell. Plus you're the only girl I ever met that has and knows so many designer brands." Caleb said genuinely.

Caleb was the only person that really supported or encouraged her dream job. Besides her friends and mom, Sean looked down on her, her dad, teachers( besides Ezra).

Hanna couldn't stop a smile from showing on her face. She honestly hasn't smiled this big in a while.

"How about you? What are your plans after high school?" She asked him.

Caleb faced the tv with a shrug "to get a good job and have my own apartment/ house." He shrugged.

"I mean that's kinda boring. What about goals?"

He chuckled " those are my goals, Han."

"Let's make a new one? How about you travel somewhere. Like somewhere amazing."

"Somewhere like?" He asked.

"How about...Europe?" Hanna suggested.

"Europe?" He questioned thoughtfully. He never thought about traveling.

"Yeah, it's beautiful. Plus I plan on going there eventually." Hanna shrugged.

"Alright how about this. After high school or during college I'll go. But you have to come with me." Caleb said.

"Me? Not saying I don't want to but why me?" She smiled.

"Because you want to go. There's no point of going alone when your right here." He smiled back.

Hanna didn't know what it was. But something was pulling her closer to him.

"Well, I'll go with you then." She said faintly.

She saw his eyes flicker to her lips then back to her eyes.

"I look forward to it." He replied leaning in.

Hanna leaned in as well and they kissed. Hanna swore she felt fireworks explode but as soon as it started it ended.

"Domino's pizza!"

They instantly pulled away.

Hanna blushed a deep red "I- I'll go get the pizza." She said standing up and went downstairs without waiting for a reply.

Fucking pizza man. God, she was crushing hard for this guy.

She opened the door and paid for the pizza before composing herself before walking into her room.

The rest of the night went by and they had a good time. The last thing she remembered was her laughing at a funny movie scene in 10 things I hate about you before falling asleep.

Sorry for the late updates. I kinda had a writers block but guess what I'm back abs I'm already 400 words into the next chapter.

And looking for ideas for a new multi chapter haleb story. I might make one of my tdi stories and turn it into a haleb one. But not sure yet.

but anyone else saw Ashley's story when she wished him a happy birthday I was so fucking happy. I can't wait to see this year I hope it's something cute.

I hope they hang out soon or do a call or something! Anyways
