Chapter Two

While walking, you here screaming from a distance. You run in that direction as fast as possible, but right as you get there, the screaming had turned into cheering. Someone else had gotten there before you. You sigh as you walk past the crowd. As you pass, you hear someone calling your name. The voice sounds familiar. When you look up, you see Hawks. He was the one who caught the villain over here.

Hawks: "Hey, [Hero Name]! Get over here!"

You walk over to him, wondering what he wants. You glance at him with a curious expression.

Hawks: *Looking directly at the news reporters* "I want to introduce this new hero and my new friend, [Hero Name]. They'll be working with me from now on."

You are surprised to hear him say that. The crowd cheers, you hear stuff like "We hope you do well, [Hero Name]!" and "Do good out there!". You smile when you hear these things. After a few seconds of cheering, you feel someone grab you from behind and you're suddenly lifted into the air. When you look to see who grabbed you, you see Hawks.

Y/N: "Where are we going?"

Hawks: "It's easier to escape crowds while in the air."

As you get farther away from the crowd, you hear some of them saying goodbye. It's strange, you'd never thought you'd end up on the news this quickly. As you think, you remember what Hawks had said earlier. As he sets you down, you turn towards him.

Y/N: "You have some explaining to do!"

Hawks: "Huh?"

Y/N: "First you call me your friend even though we just met and know nothing about each other, then you say we'll be working together? I'm don't need another mentorship! I just finished my mentorship with Amplifier! That's why I'm classified as a pro!"

Hawks: "Working with someone and working under a mentorship are two different things, moron... It means we're a team."

Y/N: "Uhm-... I-I knew that..."

Hawks: "If you knew, then stop acting dumb."

Y/N: "Sorry... But what makes you think we're friends."

Hawks: "Friends help each other and respect each other. You give your friends gifts without asking for something in return. You can agree with most things they believe in and you have similar interests. When working with someone as a team, it's the same thing. If you can't accomplish those main things, you'll most likely fail at whatever it is you're both trying to accomplish."

Y/N: "But knowing if they'll be a good teammate requires to know about them."

Hawks: "A lot of one's personality is based on how they present themselves. With you, I can tell your quirk has something to do with your voice, or something related to that, considering your costume. I can tell you seem to like childish things, based on your mask."

Y/N: "Hey! It's not that childish! And what does that have to do with weather or not we'll work well together?"

Hawks: "That. What I know about what you enjoy, I can tell what kind of personality you have."

Y/N: "Right... Well-"

Hawks: "I'm not explaining it any further. If you really want to spend time getting to know me, there's a cafe nearby. We can go there and chat."

Y/N: "What if people recognize you?"

Hawks: "That doesn't matter. It's not annoying. I actually enjoy the attention, but we're not going to a public cafe. It's a private cafe made for pro meet-ups."

Y/N: "Ooh, okay!"
