"Left me on read… Was that too straightforward for you?"

"No… but I don't I am going to him about you. He already isn't mentally stable so finding him somewhere to live is already uncomfortable… And he might have jumped on top of me and kissed me yesterday so I would like to avoid that."

"You didn't tell me that?!" Tai says and I realize I hadn't said much about that.

"Oh… yeah that happened."

"Um… are you…" Sonic talks and I look up from my phone.

"Hm?" I move closer to him to look at my computer and he was looking divorce papers online.

"I was… I thinking about the custody of Jules." He says. "I could have all custody off him."

"All custody? Was he really thinking about doing that?"

"Are you sure you want to do that? You know he loves his mom too."

"I know and that's why I wanted to talk to her about it. I did for a moment but she is still talking about having him all to himself when… in contract it says "Custody of the child will go to the parent who is deemed the most responsible." And since she cheated… I-I could have full custody of him. But…I don't think Jules would want that… also again I cheated too but I'm still a coward to tell her that. "Sonic rubs his face.

"Then let's get Jules to tell her that." I say and he looks at me. "Bring Jules here and we can talk to him. And then he can talk to Sally. I like this idea way better than what I thought you was going to do. I thought you was going to keep Jules all to yourself."

"No… Everything I do… is for Jules. I can't be selfish anymore so I wouldn't take his mom from him." Sonic says but then he shrugs his shoulders. "But if Sally will not listen then I might have too."

I stare at Sonic for a moment and then I realize I haven't seen Jules in a while.

"Have you talked to Jules?"

"No… I was going to today." Sonic says and he seemed nervous. "I… don't know how to start the conversation."

"Well… just tell Jules that he was to be with his mom and dad. Not just one. And I think after that then he can take on himself. Jules is a smart kid. You have nothing to worry. Plus, I can explain it to him too if needed but you need to be the one to tell him. Something."

Sonic nodded his head and then he grabbed his keys and stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"To get Jules… Is it okay if I bring him here?"

"Yeah! That's fine. I'm going to work on your town house and some meetings for work."

"Thank you." He says and he leaves.

I lock the door behind him and then watch him walk to his car.

He looked slightly stressed but at least he was doing something for himself instead of moping around. He has a kid to think about. And himself.

I grab my computer and hit the couch and then my phone vibrates again.

"Is everything going, okay?" Tai asks and then he sent another an hour ago.

"Sorry, I don't want to come off as pushy… or clingy! lol I was told I was clingy a lot by my ex… I just want to know how you are doing."

I smile at his text and sigh.

I hit the call button and place on my lap after pressing speaker and I start scheduling meetings but spacing them far more out since Sonic was having personal issues.

"The business might have to get comfortable with where we are."

"Hello!" Tai answers excitedly.

"Hiiii hottie." I elongate his nickname.

"Ah… your voice…." Tai falls in love on the other side of the phone and I laugh.

"Stop. You are making me blush." I say.

"Okay, okay. I will stop fangirling. Uh, how is it going?"

I look at the schedule I made for him and then I said.

"Good. He is definitely getting right to the point and isn't being emotional like he was before. I feel fine. I'm kind of hungry though."

"Hm? Hungry? Sounds like a job for me. What's your address?" he asks and I laugh.

"I'm also busy with this so you can't come over right now."

"I'll drop it off."

"Tai, if I even see you then I am not focusing. "I say and Tai laughs.

"Let me order you something." Tai continues to find a way to feed me and I roll my eyes.

"No, it's fine… maybe if you are up, we can have a dinner again and I can swing by- "

"Really!" he yells and I smile.

"Maybe… it's like 7pm. This might take a little longer so… I could come over… spend the night and you can feed me. Then you can lay on me while I pet your soft head while we watch anime. But I have work, early in the morning. Really early."

"Oh… well if it's no bother… Maybe you should just stay there so you can go to work." Tai voice dropped and I shrug my shoulders.

"I don't mind. Plus, I miss being with you just as much as you miss being with me. "

"Well, with you sounding like that then I can't pass it up- "

"HOLD ON!" I lean up and remember what he said in the text. "Stop saying you are clingy!"

"I- It is clingy for me to text you like that- "

"NO!Stop! I don't care! Now when I see you, we are fighting." I frown to myself because Tai was too sweet to me to worried about being clingy.

"How things have been for me lately, clingy is the best he can be."

"Don't fight me… I was hoping we could cuddle instead of you attacking me." Tai complains but then he laughs.

"We can do both but I do have to finish this schedule and more important stuff before I leave here." I say as I work on next weeks.

"Okay! Send me a text if you can come or not. If you can't then we can reschedule." Tai says.

"Alright, I'll talk to you soon, hottie."

Tai hangs up and I start focusing in fully on this schedule.

I was going to do this perfectly so I could spend time with Tai.

Hour later.

I finally finish the schedule and I stand up to yawn and then my doorbell rings. I walk over and then it gets pressed more.

"I'm coming!" I yell and I walk over and open it.

Jules froze as he was about to press the doorbell again but then he starts to blush.

"Jules!" I yell and he gets placed on the ground by Sonic. "Hey! It's been a moment! How is the drawing going?"

Jules usually just stares at me and I had no idea why but he was so cute!"

"Hi…" he mumbles and I smile even more.

"Jules, tell her about your drawings." Sonic says and Jules looks at me.

"… I can finger paint."

"Really! Wow! You have advanced so much since I have last seen you!" I say and he looks around me and then opens his arms.

"A hug? Sure!" I lean down to hug him. I pick him up and sit him on my hip and he looks directly at me.

"Pweety." He says and touches my hair.

"Me? Pretty? Aw, thank you so much Jules." I smile and walk in the house with him and Sonic walks in and closes the door.

Jules finally smiles with me and then he smells the air. "Smells like- "

"Cookies? Yep, I baked you some before you came! Let's go see if they are done." I run with Jules and laughs while he bounces up and down.

"First we need oven mitts!" I tell him and I place him on the ground and he watches closely.

"Second- "

"Wait!" he says and the grabs my arm and pulls me away.

"My granny says… you have to be very careful. My cousin burned himself once!"

"Okay! I will. Stand back." Jules scurries back and I open it slowly and get the cookies out and then I place them on the stove.

"Perfection!" I say and Jules claps his hands then tries to get on his tippy toes to see so I picked him up again and he looked in awe.

"Let's have them cool and then we can have one. Okay?"

"Otay!"

Jules starts jumping around and then he pauses.

"Plants!" Jules runs over to one of my big plants, relaxing by the window and bites a chunk of the leaf off.

"I'm a Triceratops!"

"Jules!" Sonic ran over and grabbed him and feel my heart shatter.

"Plants are healthy!" He yells and I watch my plants shake from being attacked.

"No, you can't just bite into her plants! She loves those." Sonic groans and looks at the plant and then to me.

"It's tasty!" Jules gives me a thumbs up and Sonic makes him spit it out and then throws it away.

"I'm so sorry, Amy." Sonic says and I hold in my pain.

"No… no its fine." I say and Sonic goes back into scolding Jules.

"Maybe this is why I don't have reproductive organs… Children can be angels but then demons the next."

"Please apologize." Sonic got done explaining and Jules runs over to me and then.

"Sowwie!" Jules yells and I laugh.

"It's okay. But when you get older and have money… you owe me a plant." I say.

"Otay! I'll give you a coconut tree!" Jules jumps up and down.

"A coconut trees?" I say to myself and Sonic sighs.

"He has been learning a lot at preschool, so I don't really know what to expect to come out of his mouth now." He says and smiles a bit and then he looks at Jules even more with his mouth dropping.

"Sonic is definitely thinking about telling him."

"The cookies should be cooled!" I jump up and check on them.

They were cool enough so I get one for Jules and he takes it.

"Tanks!" he bites into it and I smile and then I look at Sonic.

"Hey Jules…" I sit down the floor to get to his height.

"Weah?"

"You miss your mommy?" I ask and he stops eating.

"Wes!"

"Good, I know she misses you too but you also missed daddy to, right?"

"Wes!" Jules turns around and hugs Sonic's legs and Sonic face crinkled and he sat on the floor too. Jules hugged Sonic and then sat on his lap.

"That's great because daddy, has something to tell you." I lead Sonic in on telling Jules and he looked at me and then back to his son.

"Y-yeah." Sonic seemed really nervous and his eyes teared up slightly but he held it back.

"Daddy is getting us a new home!" he says happily and Jules stares at him.

"Home?" Jules bit into his cookie.

"Somewhere really nice and you can still play and run around too." Sonic smiles and then his eyes flicker to mine. "Also… Mommy and Daddy might not be together in the same place. We both are getting new homes."

Jules stopped chewing.

"Why?"

Sonic cleared his throat and looked at me for help.

"Because they love you! They want you to have two homes so you can still see them! You want to see mommy and daddy, right?" I chip in.

"Wes!" Jules bounces up and down.

"Then remember that. Remember that you want to be with mommy and daddy. Tell mommy you want to see daddy because you love him. No matter what." I tell him.

"I wove Daddy!" Jules hugs Sonic again and Sonic held him close.

"I…. I love you too, Jules." Sonic voices cracks. "I always want you to be happy Jules. You know that daddy tries his best for you. All I want for you is to have a bright future and…. Daddy isn't perfect but I will try my absolute best to give you the best life." Sonic says.

"Okay?" Sonic pulls back and smiles at him.

"Otay! Can I have another cookie!" Jules changes the subject fast.

"Y-yeah." Sonic says and he stands up and gives him one and then Jules starts to run around the living room.

Sonic then sighs and faces away from me and I stand up and touch his back.

"You did great. He knows now." I say and he nods his head and I peak around to try to see his face.

"What if he hates me when he gets older?" Sonic looks back at me with tears falling from his face. "I don't want that."

"Woah, turn around." I say and he turns to me and wipes his face. "Jules, would never hate you. You are all his has besides Sally. He needs you now and in the future. Don't worry about that."

"I can't help but too." Sonic says and then I grab his hand.

"That's okay too. But I can tell you that he will not hate you." I repeat and he nods his head and then I bring him in for a hug.

"Thanks, Amy."

"Mmmhm." I say and then we release the hug and his hands were still on my back. I look at Sonic and then I look at my hands that were on his chest and I remove them but then he lets me go slowly too.

"Uh…" I say because I knew that look.

It's same look he gave me upstairs when he kissed me… the same look he gives me sometimes when it's just us in the room.

"No… I can't."

I step to the side but he grabs my arm.

"Amy… why are you acting this way." Sonic says and I sigh.

"I don't know what…"

"There I go again… hiding my weakness… my feelings."

"I don't want to do anything with you. Not when you are like this- or at all." I say.

"Then when will you let me try again." He asks and I look in his eyes. "I still and always wanted you, Amy."

My eyes move back and forth between his and he brings me in closer.

"Sonic, what are you- "

"No, listen." Sonic says and I do so.

"Once I… get all of this sorted. I want you to let me try again. Restart. You don't have to promise to be with me but once I get this sorted. I want to be with you…. Start over. Do you right next time. Even if there is one… I want to try." Sonic says.

"…Maybe I don't know."

"That's okay. As long as you know that I want to try."

"Okay."

"Can I have one more!?" Jules interrupts the conversation and Sonic smiled.

"Only one more. You have to go back to your grandma's house for a moment." Sonic gives him one and then picks him.

"Granny house? No… I wanna go home!" Jules whines and Sonic laughs forcefully.

"You will, you will. Just not now." He says and then I walk up to them with Sonic's feelings in my mind.

"Of course, he still wants to be with me. He has no one but that time he said it… This time. I think he really still wants me."

"Hey, Amy. I'm going to take him back."

"O-Okay. I'll wait for you here." I say and then I blushed because I said that after him saying he still wants me.

Sonic leaves and I stand there for a moment.

"I should. Probably not stay here." I turn around and go upstairs to pack a bag to go to work tomorrow. I also take a quick shower and afterwards, I pack my computer and notes and then I sit on the steps with a bag next to me.

I grab my phone and I text Tai.

"Are you still awake. Could probably use a hug right now and a good talk. I packed my bag so… please answer."

I send it and then I hear a knock on my door and I answer it to see that Sonic had come back from dropping Jules off.

"Uh… Hey."

"Hey." He says and closes the door and I hand him some papers I printed off.

"Those are for the lease and… um. The rules for the divorce. Also, I put the schedule on there. You are not going to be working for this month until you get this settled so I called everyone. Canceled meetings and informed business that you are taking a personal break, But we should be fine. I think I know how to assist you in your time gone. Um- oh! And…" I take an extra pair of keys off and give it to him. "This… is an extra key here. You can sleep in my bed but once you get your place just give it back. Shouldn't be that long. She should also move your things out of your old house, I called for a moving guy to do that for you and I bought a storage room too. You can pick up the key as well."

I hand him more papers and then I point to the fridge. "I also have food in the fridge. I haven't seen you eat so do that for me please."

That's all I had to say and then I looked at my bag on the ground and then I looked back up because I felt weird for leaving him here. Like I was entitled to stay here for him.

"What's the bag for?" he asks and I look at it.

"I'm… staying the night somewhere else. I don't think its best I stay here." I say and I pick up the bag after that.

My phone starts to ring too and I left it on the stairs. Tai name flashes on my screen and I look at Sonic to see if he saw and he was looking right at it.

"Um- "I turn around and grab it but I don't answer it exactly.

"Who is Tai?" Sonic asks and I sigh.

"He is a friend."

Sonic stood there and I clear my throat and try to walk but he steps in my way.

I clench my bag and I look at Sonic.

"Sonic, we aren't about to do this. Please move."

Sonic doesn't move but then he touches both of my shoulders and I wait for him to speak.

"I want you to be happy too, Amy. Even if you do move on. I'm not… going to try to convince you to not move on but I want you to know that I… am not going to stop trying to be with you after this." He says and I blush.

"You have done so much for me. Since we met and I'm forever grateful for that. And even now all I feel every urge to stop you from leaving."

He drops his hands from mine and kinda smiles.

"But I am not. I messed up and I see that now. But I want you to know, once I divorce Sally, move, and get Jules settled. Then I am coming back for you."

My breath hitched and I blush.

"Uh…haha. Okay."

Sonic smiled and then patted my head.

"Cool. Don't get too comfortable with him." He says and walks off into the kitchen and my face burns even more as I leave my house and drive.

"Coming back for me? … why would he tell me that." I squeeze the steering wheel.

"I'm trying to focus on moving on but he keeps on… bringing me back. It's like he created this invisible collar on me."

I arrive at Tai's apartment and I forgot to call him to see if he was even awake.

My phone rings for a moment and then answers on the third ring.

"Hello! Sorry, I have flour everywhere." Tai says and I smile and then I heard Sonic in the back of my head.

"Don't get too comfortable."

"Amy?"

"Oh! Hey! I'm here!" I say and I walk out of my car and approach his door.

As I walk up the wind pushes me back and I stumble slightly. "This wind… why is it pulling back- "

My own thoughts put me back on thinking of Sonic as I walk slower to the door.

"Just like Sonic… pulling me back. He is still trying for me. After all of this he still wants me. And I don't know if it's because I am the easiest to get or if he really cares about me… But that doesn't matter." I stomp forward and wait for Tai to open his door.

"I have to look ahead. There are more brighter things ahead of me. Even if I don't see it now, I can't let nothing to weight me down or hold me back. And for now…"

"For now. I think I'll focus on this." I whisper to myself.

Tai opens the door his warm smile makes me forget this past weekend.

"Hey- "

I hug Tai tightly and he brings me into a hug as well.

"This is what I need. To start over and find myself."

"Woah, you okay?" Tai pulls me back and I smile.

"Even better now."

Yes, this chapter was longer than usual but I wanted to at least give Amy a little bit of the story too: ) And… I probably got a little obsessed with Tai…
