As the Slayer lands on the concert ground-very hard but not serious-in a nearby alley, he checked his surroundings making sure he wasn't getting jumped. Surroundings look clear, nothing crazy I haven't seen yet, he thought. But what about you?
Referring to the yo-yo he has in his hand, he inspects it very closer. Hayden notices this and scans the device.
"No sign of any demonic or Makyr technology coming from this... yo-yo..." Hayden responding to the Slayer. "Strange, nothing we've nor the UAC has encountered before, but to tell you the truth... we did know about these 'superheroes' for a long time. A bunch of video sources popped up on the Slayer's HUD in his helmet, showing how these "superheroes" work. "Since before the demonic invasion, we been studying these individuals for a very long time and trying to aid them to fight off their enemy. I believe his name was Hawkmoth." Then a picture shows up revealing an artist's detailed face of Hawkmoth. "And he, according to sources, takes control of a individual and offer them a deal to attack people in return by a stealing their 'miraculouses.' They often fail. We tried to reason with Ladybug, I presume, but she wouldn't let us; saying she would bring more harm, but all we wanted to do is find the source from where it came from."
Someone evil that isn't a demon... interesting... The Slayer thought. He takes another inspection of the yo-yo. He pressed a button and the yo-yo split into two circles, looking like a cellphone. It had a touchscreen and luckily his metal gloves can do such a thing. He flicks and finds multiple app: tracking, maps, contacts, etc.
"If we could convince them we are not their enemy, we could gain more allays to help fight off the rest of the demons left here on Earth and fight off their enemy, ending the terrorism in France that has lasted from almost a year. Well, before the Demonic invasion began."
Then something poked in the Slayer's mind, something Hayden hasn't mentioned. So he's going to spill the beans on him once and for all. "There's one thing that you haven't mention..."
Hayden should have expected this, but the Slayer speaking to him caught him off guard.
"How did Paris survive the invasion with that kind of technology to last over a few weeks?"
Hayden was clueless.
"I honestly don't know."
A glass dome opens up in a dark room reviling sunlight to masked man with a cane, surrounded by bright butterflies.
"Ah, finally," the villeins individual says to himself. "The Hellwalker himself. Some much anger and fury for my akuma to capture. This will be most pleasant."
He opens his hand where a butterfly lands on his palm. He uses his other hand and releases some energy to cast some sort of spell on the bright butterfly, turning it evil and dark.
He releases the dark entity and flies out from the dome into the city. "Go, my evil akuma, and evilize the Slayer."
Doomguy was still scrolling through the yo-yo phone, or whatever it is, this time at the contacts. Only one contact though: Cat-Noir. Why him and not others?
In the open area of the of the ally, he sees someone with blonde hair spying on him, but when he looked up and saw him the person ran.
Dammit, I'm compromised, Doomguy thought. He puts the yo-yo away and begins to clime out of the ally and on to the roof of a building. As he ran, he quickly looks left and right frantically to look out for them. Eventually, he does see them once he looked at his left, spotting a black figure, the cat-dude, who extended a mile wide rod that hit the Slayer making him flying off the roofs.
The Slayer crash landed at the open area where the Louvre was and naturally crowded. Everyone ran from the Doom Slayer to random locations.
The Slayer got up from the destroyed conceit ground, checking his surroundings, and looks to Cat-Noir as he lands on his two feet with his staff in baton mode.
My lord above, I don't want to do this again, Doomguy thought.
"Alright, Andre the Giant, hand over Ladybug's yo-yo, NOW!" Cat-Noir demanded.
The Slayer grabbed the Super Shotgun and puts it behind him in his warp pack and grabs his heavy cannon, equipping with a rifle scope that can blow a demon's head off.
"WOAH!" Chat exclaimed. "I don't know how you do that or how many of those you have but that weapon is BIG!"
The Slayer aims his cannon at Cat-Noir. "Trust me, I have bigger guns than this, especially ONE for people like you who don't get out of my way and tell me what the literal hell is going on here."
Chat got worried a bit about what he was talking about, but he stands his ground holding his staff firmly and tightly.
"I don't know what you think is suppose to going here, but me and Ladybug aren't going to stop until you give up the akuma," Chat confidently said.
"WHAT'S AN AKUMA!" The Slayer has had enough, he can't get any answers from without attacking first. He loses it and aims his cannon at Cat-Noir's staff; he was going to at least disarm him fist then ask questions later. But once he looks through his scope, some red figure blocks his view. He takes his eye out from the scope, lowering the cannon, and sees Ladybug shielding her partner.
"Don't!" Demanded Ladybug. "Both of you."
"But Ladybug," Cat-Noir reasons. "The Akuma!"
"I don't think he's akumatized," assured Ladybug turning to Chat.
"What? Not akumatized? Just look at him! That's all the signs we need."
"Chat, trust me." She turns to the Slayer and starts walking towards him. She stops close enough to him. "Look, I know we're kind of making you mad, but please you must understand we haven't seen anything like you."
The Slayer's instincts tells him that he shouldn't fall for this "trick" but something is telling him-besides Hayden- that he should at least try to calm things down if he just acted normally like everyone else.
"Here," she grabs something from her belt. "I think this belongs to you." She opens her hand to revel a rabbit's foot. The Slayer was shocked by this.
What? How? He searches his suit, the chest part where he hooked his pet rabbit's foot where it normally is on at the heart, and it somehow turns out that it was clipped off. He then looks toward Ladybug. "I don't know that came off, but I'll tell you that all the eons that I've gone through raging across Hell, that has never unhooked as long as I remember."
Ladybug didn't catch that. Eons? Mabey she was right. Mabey this individual isn't akumatized, but an actual entity which makes it more scarier. Mabey she should be worried.
Has he grabs the foot from Ladybug's hand, a dark flying entity appears from the left side of the Slayer.
"WAIT! NO-" It was too late.
The Akuma materialized into the Slayer's rabbit foot.
Suddenly, The Slayer somehow has a telepathic connection with another masked figure. Purple arches formed across the Slayer's eye.
"Doom Slayer..." The masked figure spoke. "I am Hawkmoth. And I'm here to offer you a deal. All you have to do is to get what is right in front of you: retrieve Ladybug's and Cat-Noir's miraculouses, and I will end all of the suffering you have gone through and deal with the armies of Hell, MYSELF."
So this is Hawkmoth. Not impressive.
"Doom Slayer!" Ladybug pleads. "Don't listen to him. Fight it!"
"So this Hawkmoth..." the Slayer spoke to the individual inside his head. "That sound like a pretty good deal, but I've got a better one. How about, I give you a Hell no. And you get out of my mind so I can find you."
"You have no choice," said Hawkmoth. "Once and Akuma has captured a person, they will bend to my will. For example..." He snaps his fingers.
The Slayer unknowingly has no control over his actions. His hand picks up the Plasma Gun from his Warp Belt and aims at the random civilians behind him who were barricaded behind police and watching in awe and shock.
"Now! Do as your told and get me their miraculouses! Or suffer the consequences!"
Not again. He is once again being force to kill civilians. This has made him beyond angry. So beyond that he can restart and recreate the battle of Pairs during WWII that his ancestor has been through, but instead of Nazis, it will be only one man, and that is Hawkmoth.
"NO!" The Slayer shouted.
Hawkmoth felt the telepathic rage and the pain was so unexplainable.
"You've got guts! HUGE GUTS! To make me do something I loath when I served my people. My commanding officer was SO a section 8 he made me do the same thing that you are doing now. You know what I did to him? I broke everything bone in his body like I'm going to do to you."
As his rage grew, his argent energized suit overcharges and somehow it goes through the telepathic connection between him and Hawkmoth, and he couldn't handle it.
"AHHH!" Hawkmoth shouted, holding his head in pain and kneels down. "THIS POWER! IT IS SOMETHING I SHOULD HAVE FORESEEN! AND IT'S POWER I HAVEN'T EXPERIANCE EVER! I. GOT. TO. STOP. THIS. NOW!" He telepathically tells the akuma butterfly to pull which it did by materializing out of the rabbit.
The Slayer then contains the butterfly with a handheld container unit.
The two superheroes were in shock. "Y-you caught the akuma..." Ladybug says stuttering her words.
"I'm opening the portal now," said Hayden through the communicator of the Slayer. "We've found something to find Hawkmoth now."
The Slayer heads for the portal as both Ladybug and Cat-Noir stare in awe.
But before he can go through the threshold, he turns his head sees dozens of red electricity floating in mid-air.
"What is that?" Cat-Noir says as he process what is happening.
All of a sudden, it happens. Dozens of Imps, zombie soldiers, zombie soldiers with shields, a few Hell Knights, two Barons of Hell, a Tyrant, and Five Revenants.
"Uh... M-m-Mr. Slayer, sir?" Cat-Noir stutters in fear. "W-w-what's going on here?"
"You two really don't know do you?" The Slayer says
The Tyrant behind the rest of the fellow demons turns around and see the crowd of humans witnessing, what they thought to be dreaming, and powers up his cybernetic arm missile, lasers pointing and aiming, and prepares to fire with a smile on it's demonic sharp teeth.
The Slayer reacts by throwing Ladybug's yo-yo to her, which she did stumbling catches as she continues to watch in awe, while he launches his Super Shotgun's meathook at the stomach of the Tyrant.
At he reaches the few feet in between the intended target, he immediately retracts the meathook and used the delta boots boosters and landed on top of the Tyrant and stabs it in the eye twice to get in the brain.
There was no way he would take his time with this demon if it was going to kill humans and get away with it.
The Tyrant falls down as well with the Slayer who landed on the concrete. He then turns to the remaining demons who stood still until one of them starts screeching causing all of them to scatter to ambush the Slayer while the rest dealt with the civilians that were running for their lives.
Two of the Revenants spot the two Superheroes from the air and started to aim their homing missiles toward them. As they fired, the two heroes split and took cover.
"Well this is new!" Cat-Noir says out loud. "What do we do now?!" He says to Ladybug.
"I don't know, but-" Before Ladybug can answer, she was greeted with a half-torn Imp right in front of her. She exclaims frightenly. She has never seen anything like that on Earth. EVER.
As the two got up simultaneously and regrouped, the Slayer jumped right between them.
"You two get those civilians out of here while I'll kill this infestation," the Slayer ordered.
"Wait! What you mean kill? We can't kill them!" Ladybug reasons with the Slayer. "Neither should you! There's got be another way!"
"Can't kill DEMONS?" The Slayer dumbfound by that response. "Oh, your one of those superheroes aren't you? Well, if you don't want them killing all of Paris and making this place literal HELL, then killing them is the only way."
"Aw come on," Cat-Noir cockily says. "I bet there's a way better then murdering these things. Just watch this!" He then runs to the nearest demon, that was the one of the two Barons of Hell. He then tries to whack the Barron with his staff at the knee and back of the head, trying to knock him out.
As Cat-Noir lands on the ground, expecting the demon to be knocked to the ground, he was surprised to see the Barron not affected by the attack and it looked at Chat slowly and annoyed. Chat smiles worriedly.
The Barron jumps high enough to pound the superhero, but Chat had enough time to move out of the way-if he didn't calculate where to land. Once he landed, the Barron seconds later crash landed with enough force to throw back Chat back towards Ladybug and the Slayer.
He groans in pain. His eyes were pointing up in the sky then filled from left to right of the Slayer and Ladybug.
"Uh... You alright, Cha-AHHH" Another Imp speared and tackled Ladybug, pins her arms to the ground and starts trying to claw or bite her to death. Ladybug manages to free her hands to grab the Imp's arms and headbutts the demon's face, causing it to become dizzy. She then takes her yo-yo and throws it toward the Imp wrapping around it. She then runs to the demon with enhanced speed and jump kicks the demon. But the next thing she didn't expect: once her kick impacted the imp, it's flesh cut through the wires of the yo-yo causing it to go into pieces and shredding it into mulch.
Ladybug couldn't believe it. She accidently killed a person, or was it a person. The Slayer, however, was a bit surprised. Turns out her powers were enough to pernitrate demon flesh that quick.
"Oh, no" Ladybug cried. "I've killed someone."
"No," The Slayer added. "That's a good thing."
"What do you mean?" Chat complained. "That could be a person in that fo-"
"They used to be," The Slayer interrupts. "But now they are nothing but pure evil. And, like I said, it's the only way." He then blocks an power ground attack by a Hell Knight and shoots it in the head causing it's head to explode with demon brains to splatter everywhere. He then turns to the two superheroes. "Trust me." He then runs to the remaining demons to slaughter.
The two look at each other for a few seconds, wondering if it was the right thing.
They made up their mind, nodded to acknowledge each other, and ran towards the carnage they will endure.
Ladybug targets the groups of zombiemen, with and without shields, shooting at civilians. She races towards them and runs in circles to only throw her yo-yo around the zombiemen. Once the yo-yo enclosed them and got them roped. She then pulls it and as it got tighter and tighter around them, the zombiemen were yelling in demonic agony as they were succumbing to the yo-yo's pressure. Finally, Ladybug tugs with one last- and strong- pull, the last thing the zombiemen were to experience was them having their bodies cut in half and pile up in one big body bunch.
Ladybug didn't like it one bit, but if it was the only way to do it, then so be it.
Then she witnessed the pile of bodies evaporate in fire and disappear. Ladybug could believe it, but was relived that if the bodies disappear then no one would have to clean up the mess.
She then turn to the people watching this carnage. "All of you, get out of here. It's not safe."
Everyone acknowledges and ran for safety. That's one job done, the other is to contain the attack, she thought.
Meanwhile, Cat-Noir has his sights on the two Revenants targeting him. They hover over him and shoots their missile cannons. The homing missiles heading towards Cat-Noir in shire fearful force. Though he manage to dodge it, he was still ticked that they tried to shoot him with missiles.
"You spooky skeleton boney bast-" The Revenants interrupted Chat as they landed right in front of him. They both growl in his presents. Chat got freaked out a bit and backflipped far way from them. He then threw his staff like a boomerang. With that, he manages to take out the cannons off of their shoulders.
With his staff flying back in his hand, he grins at the work he made out of those demons. "How does it feel you shooting at stuff now?" He says cockily.
The Revenants roar in rage and ignited their jetpacks with one of them each flying in different directions; The first Revenant heading straight while the other flies over Chat to attack him from behind. As they got in close proximity, Chat then jumped out of the way jump high just in time from them to clash into each other, head first cracking their skulls. With gravity doing his job, Chat falls down with enough velocity to use his two boots to crush the two demons' bare skulls. The two bodies twitch and turn to ash.
Cat-Noir wipes the sweat from his forehead and looks how Ladybug was doing but his eyes, wide opened and his mouth making an "O" shape, spotted the Slayer doing a better job the him and Ladybug.
The Slayer was switching weapons contently back and forth from gun to gun, up in the air and dashing. He shoots both barrels from his Super Shotgun to his heavy cannon, shooting a cannon shot, at the skull of another Revenant killing it. The Slayer then targets one of the two Barons, boosts up in the air, dashes back, and launches a ice grenade from the shoulder-mounted launcher. Once the grenade made contact, the Baron then froze and the Slayer then uses his rochet launcher with the lock-on attachment and fired three rockets and switched and launched a regular grenade. Once all the explosives made contact and detonated, the Baron was no more; the explosives made the icy Baron turn into pieces.
Ladybug was also in awe of what the Slayer is doing, she has seen nothing like a normal hero-if he was- would ever do.
Chat regroups with her. "Wow, haven't seen anyone with issues like that before."
"Yeah, no kidding," she replies.
Once the Slayer landed on the ground, he turns to see the remaining demons: one Baron, one Knight, two Revenants, and five Imps. The remaining demons regrouped in one spot.
Both Ladybug and Cat-Noir also regroup with the Slayer.
"Ok just a half more to go," Ladybug acknowledge. She thought if she can use her Lucky Charm, this can be over a lot quicker. "Lucky-"
Before she can use her powers, she sees the Slayer pull out what would look like some sorta ancient equipment in two pieces. As the two pieces come together, the would form a ballista.
"You might want to stand back," the Slayer warned.
Ladybug and Cat-Noir did step back a little. The Slayer then charged his ballista as the remaining demons came charging at them.
"Uh... Any time now," Cat-Noir hurries the Slayer.
As the Slayer's ballista finally charged, he pulls the trigger and fires an energy blade right at the demons. The energy blade cuts through the majority of the demons, separating the torso and the legs, all coming towards the three.
The two superheroes were disgusted by the sight, but then again what's left of the demons soon turn to ash in a matter of a second, except for one demon. The Baron, who withstand the most of the energy blade had to offer.
The Slayer decides to end this confrontation by pulling out a chainsaw.
"Whoa!" Cat-Noir exclaimed and freaked out. "Now a chainsaw?!" What kind of other weapons do you have, like a weedwhacker or something?"
The Baron then charged right towards the three while the Slayer charged towards the demon. As the were in close range, the Slayer slid under the Baron and from behind he sawed off the right leg. As the Baron fell down in agony, the Slayer finishes it off by sawing the upper jaw off from the lower jaw.
The two superheroes were in a daze of what they are witnessing as the sound of a chainsaw running and a demon being silenced.
"Oh my," Ladybug can only say.
As the dead demon turns to ash, the Slayer comes up to the two superheroes. "And now you understand a little what I'm been saying now, right?"
Ladybug and Cat-Noir looked at each other confusingly, but turned to the Slayer and nodded in acknowledgment.
"But do you fit into all this? It kind of looks like they follow you in someway." Cat-Noir say.
"No they don't, they fear me," the Slayer answers. "But what you saw a scout party. They will be more coming."
"MORE COMING?!" Ladybug and Cat-Noir both say out loud.
"I know what this means, but it's better to show what I been dealing with for a very long time. Doc? Open the portal will you please?"
Suddenly, the portal reopens.
"You may through here if you like, it want hurt you." The Slayer then goes through the portal.
Cat-Noir turns to Ladybug. "Should we?"
"Well, he did give back my yo-yo, helped us and manage to catch an akuma. Of course, we should." Ladybug answers as she walks up to the portal. "Care to join me, Chaton?"
Chat did not have one hesitation. "Anything for you, my lady." He walks up to his sidekick at her side and both walk to through the portal.
They will prepare for what's coming next. And what they will be unexpecting.
