It's been twelve hours since Elizabeth had the baby. Elizabeth is terribly exhausted but is awake and talking and able to feed their little girl. Lucas is now at her bedside again and not leaving her side. Elizabeth and Lucas are in awe with their babygirl. Now it's time to bring their babygirl home.
It was a warm and muggy Friday summer morning Lucas went to get the car while Elizabeth was getting her babygirl ready to go home for the first time since she was born. Elizabeth put the babygirl in a pink flowered onesie and a flower headband on her head. Elizabeth got done doing that and swaddled the baby in a white blanket that Helen, Lucas' mother made for the babygirl. Elizabeth picked her up and help her close for a bit then put her babygirl in her car seat and buckled her in then waited for Lucas. About five minutes later Lucas came in through the door of the infirmary. "You ready to go." Lucas said walking over to Elizabeth and he kissed her head. Elizabeth smiled "Ready as I'll ever be." She put a nervous smile on her face. "You ok?" replied Lucas. Elizabeth looked at Lucas. "I'm fine I'm just ready to see Jack that's all I promise. "Well let's go home then." Lucas picked the car seat that the babygirl was in and grabbed Elizabeth's hand and they walked out of the infirmary. Lucas put the babygirl who is still in her car seat in the car and he makes sure the car seat is secured and safe. Then he helps Elizabeth in the car and they go home. Elizabeth looked at Lucas while he drives and held his hand. "I'm so lucky to have a husband who is kind, caring, and handsome man that you are. I love you Lucas." Lucas smiled. "And I you Elizabeth...And I you."
