So… I guess I made Emily a good person in here. I felt weird writing it that way… But eh, it's for a fanfic, anyway.

This chapter took me a while. This story is quite a thinker to be honest. But I think it's good because I know that it will be interesting and awesome.

Hope you like it 😊

Rachel is packing her things to go back home to New York.

She hears a knock on the door.

She answered the door and saw Emily standing there.

"Oh, um… Hi, Emily.", Rachel said nervously.

"Hello…", she said with a little sadness in her voice. "…can I come in?"

"Uh, sure."

Emily sat on the chair near the bed.

"Look, I'm… I just wanna talk to you about Ross."

Rachel started to sweat.

"Wh-why? What happened?", she sat on the bed, still with unfolded clothes scattered.

"Well, um… He realized we were taking this marriage thing too fast. So we both agreed to be on separate ways and that we could just stay friends."

"Oh, that's good.", she smiled at her.

"Well, uh… that's not all…", Emily said in a very serious tone. "He said that you were the one who convinced him not to do it."

"Yes…", she confessed.

"And that you also told him that you still love him."

"Yes, that is also true… I am so, so sorry about this Emily and—"

"I knew this would happen, honestly…"

"Really?"

"I knew from the look on your face when we both announced that we were getting married. And I thought how weird this would all be considering you were his ex-girlfriend."

Rachel just nodded.

"So, I kind of knew that you will do this.", she continued. "I understand that you and him have a huge history and that you two loved each other very much."

"Yeah…", she looked down.

"And you know what I think?" Rachel looked at her again. "I think you should give your relationship another chance."

Rachel was surprised. She didn't expect Emily, Ross's almost future wife, to say these things.

"…A-are you sure?"

"You're supposed to be with Ross. I don't wanna be a person getting in the way of that."

"Well, should I do it now? What should I tell him?"

"Tell him what you wanted to tell him in the first place. The reason why you came all the way to London."

"Wow… I don't know what to say… Thank you, Emily. Can I?", she said, holding out her arms.

Emily accepted it and gave her a hug.

"Goodluck."

He opened the door.

"Oh um… Hi, Rach."

"Can I come in?"

Ross stepped back, giving her way through the door.

She sat on the small couch and he sat on a small table near the tv.

"First of all… I am so… SO sorry for what happened."

Ross smiled at her.

"I was actually worried what would've happened if nothing went wrong."

"Hey, um… Emily told me you guys are over."

"Yeah…", Ross said sadly. "But y'know, it's probably for the best."

Rachel nodded.

The room went quiet for a while.

"Ross?", Rachel broke the silence. He looked up. "Do you love Emily?"

He sighed.

"I did. Yeah…". Then he stood up. "I thought my life would be better again. That I would finally have a wife… have a family… be happy. But…"

He shook his head. He scratched his eye. He's feeling sleepy.

He sat back on the table.

"…It's just not her.", he avoided eye contact from her.

"What do you mean?"

"I just don't see a future with her. I mean… I wanna have a perfect life with the perfect woman. I thought I saw that with Emily."

He paused.

"Then I realized she's been there the whole time."

Rachel's eyes widened. She felt her heart beat faster. It couldn't be…

Does he want her back?

"Who?", she said, trying to make sure.

He looked at her in the eyes. Those beautiful blue eyes he always fell in love with. He couldn't believe how beautiful she always looked.

Ross sighed.

He can't believe she didn't know who he was talking about. He smiled at that.

"It's you."
