AN: GG: Time to give these boys a chance to feel normal again! Hopefully they'll get that chance.

After cleaning up, the two of them headed back into the other room where Prompto and Ignis had been eating. When they arrived, Prompto was sitting across from Ignis but his eyes were fixed to the table. He barely had eaten any of his food.

Keeping their conversation in his mind, Noctis resisted rushing over to make sure Prompto was okay. He did go over to him and wrap him up in a hug, using that to steady his racing heart finally.

Right away Prompto latched on to Noctis, life flooding back into his face. "Noct, you're back."

"I am. Did you enjoy breakfast with Specs?" Noctis asked curiously.

Prompto nodded a little. "Yeah, but I wasn't too hungry."

Noctis nodded some. "Yeah, I was a bit the same. We'll have to get a snack or two to make up for it. I don't want to face the disappointed face of Iggy for ruining his plans." He said while giving his friend a smile.

"You do know that I am still across from the table, correct?" Ignis asked as he adjusted his glasses.

"Ah, yes? But at least you know our schemes ahead of time."

"If your plan is to eat candy all afternoon, you know I won't allow it," Ignis laughed lightly. "You two should finish the food that you were given, even if you eat it later."

Noctis looked over at Prompto to shrug some. "Okay, sure. But can there be at least some candy today?"

"Yeah Iggy," Gladio cut in. "The kids can have a little candy."

Prompto nodded in agreement. "Candy sounds really nice right about now."

Ignis looked at the two teens giving him large, begging eyes before nodding his head. "A little candy today. But you have to finish your breakfast this morning."

"Deal. We can do that," Noctis readily agreed.

"Yeah, that's easy enough," Prompto added.

"Any other plans for today?" Noctis asked curiously.

"Yes, you two will be starting some catch up work from school. I'll be tutoring you this afternoon." Ignis explained.

"School? Really?" Prompto asked.

"Really. While it's unsure when you'll be joining your classmates once again, there's no reason why you shouldn't at least be working on the material," Ignis explained.

"Well I guess if Noct and I are studying together it won't be so bad," Prompto admitted.

"You two share a lot of similar classes, so yes, the vast majority of your tutoring will be together. For your electives we will find a way to get you the appropriate lessons." Ignis explained further.

"You don't know when we'll be back to school?" Noctis asked softly.

Ignis pushed up his glasses in an attempt to think about the question. "There are a lot of variables riding on the answer to that. There's no reason to send you back only to hurt you further in the long run."

Prompto squeezed Noctis's hand. "And what about when we do go back to school?"

"Then you will resume your usual school schedule."

"But I mean..." Prompto looked at Noctis. "We wouldn't be together in each class..."

Noctis remembered what Gladio had told him just a bit earlier. He squeezed Prompto tightly to try and reassure him. "We'll make it work. Maybe by then we'll have more classes together."

"I hope so. You up for taking a photography class?"

"Dude, you really think I can do photography?" Noctis asked with a little laugh.

"Well... you want to be with me right?" Prompto asked. "Wouldn't hurt to learn."

"I guess you've got a good point. Might be fun to see the world as you do."

Prompto grinned happily, wrapping his arms around Noctis. "Aww thanks Noct."

Noctis smiled as he returned the hold easily. "Not a problem Prom. What's a bestie to do?"

"Boyfriends," Prompto corrected. "That's what boyfriends do."

"Yeah, boyfriends, I guess that's the better word for it," Noctis laughed as he pressed a kiss to Prompto's temple.

Gladio cleared his throat. "Do you want us to leave? Let you two have some alone time again?"

"Prom? Want some alone time? Or should they stay for a bit longer?" Noctis offered, not sure which would be the better answer at this point. His mind was so confused after his talk with Gladio.

Prompto glanced nervously between Ignis and Gladio. "I... I don't know. I just want to be with you."

Noctis rubbed Prompto's arm gently. "You know we can trust them. They will keep us safe." He said softly. "They want to help us heal."

"I know. I'm still just a bit scared though," Prompto whispered.

"If you two aren't too busy," Noctis said, looking between his two older friends with slightly wide eyes, not sure how this would go. "We should just hang out some. Just relax and be four best friends," he offered, even if that felt really hard.

"I think that sounds fun. I did think about a double date after all," Gladio replied.

"Prom, you know what that means, we have a team to go against in that racing game you love." Noctis said excitedly.

Ignis sighed at that. "Gladio, I hope you know what you've signed us up for."

"A little competition sounds like it'd be fun," Gladio smiled as he cracked his knuckles.

"Then what are we waiting for? We should go do that," Noctis laughed and stood up straighter so he could tug Prompto to his feet.

Prompto smiled as Noctis pulled him along. They ran back to Noctis's room where they would get changed. "So we're really doing this? Having a double date?"

Noctis smiled along with Prompto. "Why not? Enjoy having some time to do this, right? Before we have to get back to schoolwork."

"Yeah you got a point! It's just too weird to think about the double dates. But it sounds fun."

"Too much too soon?" Noctis asked while looking over at Prompto carefully.

"I don't know... I guess maybe? We got back and now we are just going on dates. Just feels a bit weird."

"Well, I don't know how much of a date this really will be. We aren't going anywhere." Noctis shrugged. "And... they're worried, a lot, about us. So, this might help them too?"

Prompto nodded. "I didn't realize that they were worrying. Ignis doesn't seem like the type."

"They show their worry in different ways. Igs plans, he probably has so many plans right now, to try and hide his worry."

"And what about Gladio?"

Noctis hummed some. "He trains, tries to get stronger so he can stop any other threat from happening."

"That's good... so that's good. Yeah. Let's go play some games." Prompto grinned happily.
