Shikamaru and Ino just returned home after a month-long mission. They are unaware of the big surprises they are walking into. After checking in with the gate, they are on their way to the Hokage a tower. Well, Shikamaru was walking down the street. He noticed a few people were starting to turn their backs on them.
My others were looking in the direction, quickly whispering amongst themselves. Something was going on. Shikamaru was not quite sure. But more importantly, he needs to see Tsunade. On the way home, they encounter some rogue ninjas. When he tried to use the shadows, they would not respond to him, which got him more worried than ever. He has not felt the shadows in over a month. With Shikamaru, I tried to use them a few times after an encounter with the Rogues. They will respond—nothing he could do with a stare.
Shikamaru realizes he could not use any of his yin releases. He knows something was terribly wrong. He had Ino. Check him out. She could not find anything wrong with him. She said he was perfectly healthy. So, he did not have time to determine why the villagers were giving him weird looks or whispering about them.
He wants to know why he could not use his abilities. On top of that, he needs to find a way to sweet-talk Serenity. So, he needs to find out where she will be next or where she is now and send a letter flower.
Go with Ino plan If Serenity brings up that Chōji has said something to her. He also needed to talk to Temari to see if he did anything to piss her off.
He was not really paying attention to where he was going. You can say the same thing with Ino Next thing they know, and they had a run-in with Hinata and her sister Hanabi. "When did this happen?" He asked angrily.
"It was about a month ago the Council clans had come to a decision. Serenity, it should be married. The invitations have already been sent out. I believe you, too, have received yours. I will need your RSVP soon."
"Why would he need invitations over? Go to his own party. Hinata." Ino Ask with a bit of an attitude.
"Then obviously, you two never read the reputations. Lady Hinata, leave him be. Let them find out later."
"Brother Neij, When did you get back?"
"Just now, my lady. I might have suggested my lady. You just put down that they are coming in; leave it be."
"Hey, we ask the question here. Where would Shikamaru need the invitation to his own party?" Ino Snarls at Neij.
Neij calmly looks at her. Just as dismissive as before, He answers.
"Then I suggest you read your invitation. You might be enlightened; why? Here you go, we have just received more acceptance letters."
"Oh, fire lady will be so pleased. I do hope the place that Serenity has picked is big enough."
"What don't you think the village is big enough?" Neij chuckles.
"I do believe the fire Lord and his wife has made turned the whole village into a giant festival for that day. Everyone is looking forward to the engagement festival."
"Oh, I know Naruto is just so happy. He cannot wait to get his party on. He is simply happy he doesn't have to do any new planning this time."
"Will he just be happy to see his friends being happy? I think that's what's more important to him."
"That is true, brother. He just hopes that she will find happiness. He was a little upset with this, but Kurenai Sensei explained it to him."
"My guess is he's still not really happy about it, but he's come to accept it."
"Yes, Serenity letters having helped a lot."
Shikamaru standing there Incredibly, terribly angry. Thinking how dare Serenity? Just accept the clans' Council like this. Not even this Without discussing it with him. How dare she do this? A dark look came over his face as he looked over at Hinata.
"Where is Serenity right now, Hinata?"
he asked her with a dark edge to his tone. As a result, Neij stands between them now. He does not like it in a manner that Shikamaru had just given off.
"Suggest you mind your tone? Shikamaru"
With a dark glare, Shikamaru steps closer to Neij.
"In what are you going to do about it? I want to know where the hell my girlfriend is at?"
A surprised gasp Came out from behind Neij. Hinata pushing her younger sister behind her. The very air around them is starting to be charged with the promise of a fight.
About showing signs of backing down, Neij steps closer Shikamaru up and down darkly.
"Your girlfriend. The last time I heard, she was no longer yours. If you have not been enlightening soon, I'll be happy to enlighten you."
Ino looking between the two boys, worried. She had to step in. There is no way in Shikamaru's condition. He will be able to take on Neij. Shikamaru's not thinking; he is being blinded by anger. In which she can understand. Serenity was going through all these plans and at once brought it up to him.
"Shikamaru, this isn't the time or the place. We have a report to give still. After that, you can write a letter to Serenity. Explain how outraged you are at in her to cancel all the plans if you want."
Shikamaru glances slightly at her. With his face crunched, He was so ready to swing. But he wants to turn at Serenity. He has never tried to hit her before, but she gets a beating when she gets back. She will learn her place, or he is going to force the lesson on her.
"Fine, let us get going. Have many things to discuss. I need to find out where the hell my girlfriend is at. Me and her going to have a little talk."
Neij stairs down. Shikamaru almost trying to read what is going through his mind. And glaring even harder at Shikamaru after a few minutes. Watching Ino pull Shikamaru away down the road.
Which they were out of earshot. Neij turns to Hinata and Hanabi as he picks up the notebook that Shikamaru just threw down. Neij hands it back to Hinata as he hands the tour. He stares at the book for a moment. Contemplating what to do next.
"Hinata, Naruto to be over later and get Messenger frog ready."
"You don't think Shikamaru will?"
"What's the try to beat Serenity?"
Hanabi Gasps behind her, Looking frightened. She has never been in her young life in a situation like that. Hey, quickly understanding the meaning behind the words.
"Why Would Shikamaru want me to hit Serenity?"

"They're not forcing her to do anything. She and her brothers had more political power in this village. Then he went on the Council. She is going through with this because she wants to. She's always had a crush No; she's always been in love with Shikaku."
"She sounds like you, sister."
"Any cases she is. We are both a lot alike. Why else do you think we get along so well? The difference between her and me she never loved fear to control her. I allowed fear to control me. I had to learn to overcome.

With that, Neij walks to the tower to give an official report. As he walks into the Hokage Office, he passed the Shikamaru and Ino. He sees her ladyship Sitting behind the desk.

"Yes, yes, I will be meeting. I just want to get this damn thing over with. I am not getting younger, you know."

He very much liked this new era of peace in very much would like to continue it. He knows his village has a lot to make up for. And they have no right to ask for a lot. That child Shikamaru What's so condescending towards Serenity. Every little thing she healed complained that she was not doing it right. You could tell Serenity was ignoring him, But they had to wear her down at some point. She watched one day as she brought everyone's tea to the meeting. Everyone thanked her, even the Raikage, But that child Shikamaru threw the tea on the floor. So, she did not make it right.
(Flashback one year ago)
"Gross, Serenity, what the hell is this tea?"
Shikamaru threw the Teacup down and looked at her with disgust.
"Can't you do anything right, Serenity?"
"I don't even want to know how long you were able to live this far. One must know how much longer your luck will last if it was not for me in your life. No man will want you."

Shikamaru was complaining that she was not moving fast enough. With Serenity's speed up, he was complaining she was going too fast. My men were more than willing to help her hide a body.
After that, I sent off a letter to the Hokage Requesting that Shikamaru never be present for these meetings. Explain that his behavior was rude.

After receiving this invitation, I had to say I was dreading it. But not so much I remember how Princess Serenity behaved during Naruto's wedding. She would not give that little boy Shikamaru around the time of day. She pulled all the other single boys onto the dance floor.
Not once did she ever go and pull him. I think the whole time I was there, and I never saw her talk to him at all. Serenity spoke to every other boy. Every other person, but she ignored him. Serenity made it a point that she was showing she was ignoring Shikamaru.
When anyone asks Serenity About Shikamaru, she was quick to change the subject. Talk about one giving the cold shoulder. They hear the little boy Shikamaru called to keep on telling everyone Serenity, his girlfriend. Where all the signs are clearly there, she has given up on him. But the rumors are true, which it sounds like it is. Shikamaru has been cheating on her for over a year.
So, after he read this invitation, it is all the engagement party, not for Serenity and Shikamaru. But for Serenity and Shikaku.
A knock at the door drew Tsuchikage attention from the invitation.

"I can't argue with that one. There is still so much to do when we get home. I must agree, this mission cannot come too fast enough. I am a little terrified with what the Great grandmother lady Has done."

Shikaku Had to do a double-take; he looked at Serenity in shock. He was 100% sure to say on that one.
"No, I'm terrified."
Before Shikaku could say anything else. A frog poof onto the table. It turned out to be one of Naruto's messenger frogs.
"how's it hanging, guys?"
"A little too left. What's up?"
Shikaku told him while looking at him, trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Serenity went to get a snack from her bag.
"Here you go. I'm sure you're a little hungry."
"Thank you. Shikaku, I got a message from Neij."
"Oh, was he the one that wanted to know how it's hanging? You can let him know that is hanging a little to the left."
"Shikaku, what is this important?"
"What knowing that is not important? Oh, silly me. My dear, you know I'm a smart ass."
"Don't I know it?"
Serenity says that she shakes her head.
"Yes, that's the scroll. I will wait until you read it just in case you want to send it back apply. So, Cutie, say anybody?"
"Hey. Get your own woman. Serenity is mine."
"Well, aren't you a little possessive?"
"Keep it up. I have frog legs tonight."
"Well, I know frog, Fu."

Serenity watch, Shikaku Talk back to a frog. He must be missing the boys back at home if he is doing this. She watched Shikaku read the note. See a dark look for upon his face.
"Shikaku. What's going on?"
He passes The note. He goes to find his own stationery in the bag As Serenity reads the message.
Dear Shikaku,
I am writing this as a warning to you. Shikamaru has shown signs that he is going to be more aggressive behavior. We almost traded blows tonight. Open the fact that he thinks the engagement party is for him. He has not read the invitation. So, he feels very much Serenity is still his. I should not be worried about her safety. I'm not saying you can't protect her, and Serenity can't take care of herself. I am concerned that Shikamaru is showing signs that he is going to go off the deep end. Unfortunately, the path of his destruction Serenity stands in the middle. I am not 100% sure how he is going to behave when you guys get back. I will write you more inform you if this behavior shows signs, he will be more aggressive.

"I know you're right. It bothers me a little bit. But that is not what bothers me the most—a child in my clan. I needed help, and I did not realize he needed it. I had no idea where I was going on in Shikamaru's head. I had to throw him out."
