CHAPTER 8:
He was frozen with shock.
Willie had nearly fainted when his name was mentioned on the tape. The fact that they somehow knew who he was, along with his already increasing anxiety, had made this experience a complete nightmare.
However, the anxiety had been destroyed and replaced by a new fear when he checked the time. Willie sighed.
He knew what had to be done.
Sighing, he grabbed his gun and loaded it. And for some strange reason, he was unable to prevent himself from staring at it. Despite his cockiness earlier, Willie really hope it wouldn't have come to this.
Taking in a MASSIVE sigh, he opened the door to reveal the Shortmans once more. Willie bent down next to the panicked Stella, "Mr. Shortman's time is up." he whispered to her, clearly in a state of shock, "Now I've gotta do what I've gotta do. And I'm afraid it has to be YOU that tells him he's failed!"
Willie pointed his pistol on Stella's temple, and dialed up the phone to call Miles back once again. Miles answered fiercely, "Is that the icecream man, you bastard?! I know it's you, fucker!"
"M-miles?"
His mood immediately dropped, "Stella?!"
"You've failed."
But suddenly, completely out of nowhere, Bob smashed through the door. He had been spying for hours. When he saw that gun, he knew he had to act.
With a gun of his own he aimed it at Willie, who was kicked by Stella into the view of Bob. Willie gasped as Bob shot at him, but ducked out of the way.
Instead of hitting Willie, Bob's bullet pierced through enough of Stella's bonds that she managed to break free of them. Willie sat up and aimed his gun at Bob, but not before Bob tackled him and began to wrestle the much weaker, frailer man. Taking her child, Stella bolted out of the area.
Willie was getting ragdolled on the ground, Bob had beaten the living daylights out of the sadistic man, but the mere second of freedom Willie got was all he needed.
Without hesitation, he grabbed a plate and threw it on Bob's head, rendering him dazed. Willie took this sweet opportunity to blitz himself up and run into the kitchen, only to be filled with horror to realize that Arnold and Stella weren't there anymore.
"Mrs. Shortman?" he called out, somehow expecting to get an answer, "Arnold?! I'm gonna go kill your husband now, Mrs. Shortman!" And with that, he ran out of the house and into his car, with an angry Bob Pataki on his trail.
All while this was happening, Miles was bawling on the floor of the bathroom. All he could hear was the screaming of his family, gunshots and grunting. He whimpered pathetically, phone in hand.
However, this was short lived. Miles suddenly felt a series of electric shocks that pierced through his body, causing him to accidentally throw the phone in the other side of the room and rendering him unconscious.
Helga gasped, "Miles!" she yelled, before repeating it again, "MILES! GET UP! Criminy, I need you!" she began to throw what was in the room at Miles, causing him to stir.
Miles groaned, before looking around. He was wide awake in mere seconds, much to Helga's joy, "Oh, YES!"
But he gasped when he realized just where the phone was; it was out of reach! He tried to get it, he tried EVERYTHING to get it. But he realized something.
He just couldn't.
Growling viciously, Miles went to the direct end of his chain and began to pull, screeching like a maniac as he did so. Helga did her best to calm him down, but this man was beyond listening.
Feeling no other option at hand, he grabbed his ankle and began to brace himself. When Helga realized what he was doing, she panicked, "No! NO NO NO NO NO! MILES! DON'T!"
But it was too late. With all of his might, he began to CHEW the skin and flesh off of his ankle and foot area. Helga could only watch in horror as a man ate himself, "NOOO! AAAH! NO PLEASE! I'M BEGGING YOU! STOP IT! STOOOOOOP!"
Miles kept on going further and further, without even thinking of doing otherwise. Ignoring the extreme pain, he reached the bone of his ankle and grinned at how weak it was, despite how pale his face had become from shock.
Without his foot intact and with one more task to fulfill, he crawled to where the gun was and grabbed the bullet that happened to be in the box. He loaded the revolver and aimed it at the blonde girl wearily.
Helga began to panic viciously, "Wait! W-WAIT! STOP! DON'T DO THIS!"
"Y-y-you have to die."
"I DON'T WANNA! I DON'T WANNA!"
"I-I-I-I'm sorry!"
"I DON'T WANNAAAAA!"
"M-m-m-my family!"
Helga stopped moving around and stood in one place, accepting her fate with a loud scream, resulting in Miles shooting her in the shoulder, causing her to collapse on the ground.
Miles began to bawl, it had been done, "AAAAH!" he called out, "I'VE DONE IT! NOW SHOW THEM TO MEEEEEE!"
Miles stayed in that pathetic position for a few seconds until he heard the door unlock. Raising an eyebrow and turning around, he looked to see the Jolly Olly Man open it, with a dead Bob Pataki behind him.
