CHAPTER 9:

Willie groaned from the pain inflicted on him by Bob. He looked at the map he had and realized he was here. This was the destination.

This was where Helga and Miles were.

He opened the led on top of the sewer entrance and began climbing down the ladder entrance. It wasn't long before he noticed Bob's car also parked right next to his. Willie gulped.

He had to get out of here. And fast!

Limping quickly down the sewer aisle, Willie heard a step behind him and quickly opened fire, missing everything but giving him enough time to distract Bob so he could limp away quicker.

Bob growled, "I'm gonna kill you, ya sick asshole!" he howled, as he chased the Jolly Olly Man through a maze-like area.

But then, Willie finally reached a dead end. He grinned at the sight.

It was a metal door.

But before he could open it, Bob tackled him from behind.

The bloody beating took off once more, as Willie was getting pounded on by the much bigger, stronger man. However, Willie wouldn't let go of his gun.

Growling furiously, Bob grabbed Willie and began to strangle him. He choked viciously, but then realized something incredible.

He had an opening.

Willie gripped his pistol and shot Bob in the stomach, causing the larger man to gasp in shock and stare at his assassin. Willie smiled down at Bob as he closed his eyes.

Willie then limped towards the bathroom door, opening it.

Miles glared hatefully at the ice cream man, "YOU BASTARD!" he yelled out, grabbing his own empty revolver and shooting at Willie, "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOUUUUUU!"

Willie avoided the furious Shortman and limped towards the limp Pataki girl. He kicked her at the sides to make sure she was really dead, before shaking his head and turning to Miles, pointing his pistol.

"You're too late!"

"W-why?"

"It's the rules!"

Miles braced himself for the impact. This was it. The road ends here. Visions of his family, his time in San Lorenzo and of his friends made his shaking form shed tears. He didn't want this to happen. Not like this.

But then, Willie raised an eyebrow.

Did he hear breathing?

He was about to turn around, but it was too late. Helga Geraldine Pataki, as if rising from the grave itself, yanked Willie's legs with her chain, causing him to crash on the hard floor. She had a short wrestling match with him for the gun, which she surprisingly won due to the shock Willie received through the fall. She gave him a crushing blow to the jaw, causing Willie to let go of his gun.

"You wanna chain people up, ya sick douchebag?!" Helga yelled out at the dazed ice cream man, "Well, you'll die by your own chain!"

Helga grabbed her foot chain and yanked it on Willie's neck, choking him. This lasted for a few more seconds, as she gripped it around the man's neck as tightly as she could, before he collapsed to the ground.

He was dead.

Letting go of the chain, she gripped at her wounded shoulder, feeling tears spread as Miles gripped her tightly. She groaned in pain. He had dove for her, as he couldn't properly walk anymore. She looked up at him as she felt hot tears stream down her cheeks.

He was pale white, dangerously white. Shaking as if he could pass out any second, "Y-y-y-y-you're g-gonna b-b-be a-alright!" he told the groaning girl weakly, shaking as if he were freezing somehow, "y-you're just woun-wounded in the shoulder!"

He gripped her even tighter, looking her dead in the eyes, "I-I-I have to g-go, a-and get help!" Miles stuttered, nodding at Helga weakly.

However, Helga knew what this meant.

She would be alone.

Alone in this dirty, smelly old bathroom.

Alone to suffer.

Panicking and ignoring her newfound pain, he grabbed Miles' collar, digging her nails into it desperately as she whimpered sadly, "Don't leave meeeeee!" she cried out, beginning to cry.

But Miles knew he had to go, he couldn't stay here much longer. He had to see his family, or medical assistance.

He sighed weakly as he let go of the young girl, causing her to cry out, "NO! NOOO! NO, AHH!" as Miles limped on the ground towards where the door was, still shaking violently as Helga called him out.

"MILES!" she blubbered out, gaining his attention, "MILES!"

Miles turned to her and gave her a weak smile, "D-d-d-don't w-worry. I-I'll bring someone back. I p-promise."

And with that, he left.

Helga reached out to him weakly before sighing in defeat. She turned to Jolly Olly Man's corpse and frowned at it. This scumbag had done this and so much more, and she had ended his reign of terror.

But wait, if he put her here, wouldn't that mean-

Helga's eyes widened; the key!

She scooted over to his corpse and began searching through his pockets. She came across his driver's license. Apparently his name was Willie Hernandez. She flicked it at his face.

Growing frustrated by the lack of materials, she groaned out loud, "Key!" she cried, "Key!"

But there was nothing. She searched everywhere, wincing in pain as she did so.

However, she finally came across something.

She raised an eyebrow; it was a tape recorder.

Her eyes widened. No, this cannot be! This couldn't be the case.

But ignoring her fears, she pressed play. Revealing that horrible voice.

"Hello, Mr. Hernandez. Or as you're known to most;

The Jolly Olly Man!"
