Prologue

It was a normal day in Minato, Tokyo. A run of the mill bank robbery, a high speed car chase, a street brawl, and now, a fire in a apartment building a few blocks a way from the agency. It took All Might exactly 1 minute to arrive on the scene and a second to rush into the building to begin pulling people from the flames. Among those people was a young woman around his age. She had dark purple hair and a pretty porcelain face that was covered in soot. Her green eyes wide out of fear as he carried her out of the building last.

"Are you alright miss?"

"Ah…I think so."

"These paramedics will check you over for any unseen or unfelt injuries." With that said and everyone evacuated and the fire put out, All Might turned and rushed back to his agency building. Like I said, a normal day saving people.

The next time he saw the woman he was wrapping things up with a bank robbery and she was passing by on the sidewalk across the way. She waved he waved back and that was it, she disappeared into the crowd of onlookers.

The third time they met he was rushing out of his agency building when he bumped into her. She fell and looked up at him with shocked wide eyes.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" He helped her up and gave her a deep bow.

"It's fine! I wasn't paying attention either All Might." She responded he straightened and looked down at her small frame.

"I should let you get going. You must be rushing for a reason right?" She announced as she stepped aside.

"Ah! Right!" He said before continuing his course towards the scene of another street brawl.

The fourth time they bumped into each other was at a coffee shop. She stopped in for a coffee before her work day began, while he stopped for a snack, already 2 hours into his work day.

"Ah! All Might! Good morning!" She smiled as she walked over to the end of the counter to wait for her finished coffee.

"Good Morning miss…."

"Ito. Akemi Ito"

"Right! I rescued you from a burning building a couple of months ago."

"You remembered! I'm surprised! You help so many I didn't think you would remember me." She smiled

"I never forget a face!" He smiled his usual megawatt smile.

"Thank you, for saving me. I didn't get the chance to thank you before." She bowed as her coffee was set on the counter.

"Just doing my job Miss Ito." He waved his hand and scratched the back of his neck.

"I should probably be going." She said in response as she grabbed her coffee and turned for the door while All Might turned to place his order. She stopped before leaving the coffee shop, she turned to look at the hero and shrugged her shoulders.

"Hey, All Might?" He turned to look at her.

"I know you probably get asked a lot, but would you like to get a coffee this Saturday? If you're not busy of course." She asked. He stared for a moment with wide eyes before smiling and nodding.

"I would love too." Her eyes widened and she smiled a bright smile.

"Great, uh…How about here at 9 on Saturday?"

"Sounds good. I will see you then." That Saturday was the first among many that hosted coffee dates for the two. Those dates grew from coffee to dinner until eventually they were in a committed relationship.

1 year later

"Would you like to move in together?" Akemi seemed shocked at his question.

"I wasn't expecting you to be the one to ask" She chuckled. "Sure, I would love to Toshinori!" She answered.

6 Months later

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOSHI!" Akemi yelled as he walked in the door of their shared apartment.

2 Months later

"Happy birthday Akemi!" He said while they sat on the roof of the apartment complex with a picnic.

1 Year later

All Might stared at his reflection in the mirror, oblivious to the sound of the front door opening and footsteps walking towards the bathroom.

"Emi…..No, Akemi…. Akemi will you please, no…. Akemi will you do me the honor of being my wife? No, it needs to be better." He opened the ring box that was sitting on the counter.

"Akemi, will you please consider being with me for the rest of our lives? No that's stupid." He set the box down and reached up to ruffle his own hair. "I should have asked Nighteye for help" He mumbled before grabbing the ring box and turning to leave. He froze when he saw the woman he was rehearsing for standing in the doorway speechless and wide eyed.

"Akemi!" He screamed as he dropped the ring box. "Uh how long…how long have you been home?" He stuttered. She blinked and then looked at the box on the floor. She bent and picked it up. She looked from the box to All Mights sweating face, then she opened the box before closing it quickly. She took a deep breath and opened the box again, carefully she pulled the ring out and placed it on her finger.

"So, should we tell my family? Or yours first?" She asked as she looked from the ring to his face with a bright smile and tears in her eyes. All Might sagged in relief and rushed to grab her, lifting her into a passionate kiss filled with laughter and tears.

"I look fat!"

"You do not!"

"You aren't even looking at me!"

"Hunny! Your as thin as a twig! Now get over here so we can put your veil on! Your father isn't going to wait long!" Akemi looked at her mother who was standing by the vanity holding the veil that she was going to wear to her wedding. Akemi took a deep breath and walked over to her, she sat down as her mother went to work putting the veil in her hair.

"I was beginning to lose hope that you would ever marry!" Her mother whispered as she secured the veil.

"Mom!"

"What? Hunny you weren't getting any younger! You're already 30!" She mumbled.

"MOOOM!"

"Oh hush! Before your number 1 hero fiancé comes rushing up the stairs." She smiled. "Now, stand and look in the mirror." Akemi did as told and stared in the mirror as her mother stood behind her with tears in her eyes.

"You're beautiful" She said as she wiped at the tears. "Now, lets go before your dad starts getting impatient. Akemi and her mother walked out her bedroom door and saw her dad standing in the hall furiously wiping tears away.

"Dad? Are you crying?" She asked while smiling a watery smile.

"I just can't help it! You've been my little girl for 30 years and now I have to give you away!" He cried as more tears fell.

"And here I was thinking you were going to be your usual impatient self."

"This day can take as long as it wants!" He grumbled.

"Oh stop it." He is wife smacked his arm. "Hurry before her groom comes out here to take her down himself.

"Over my dead body." He mumbled as his wife descended the stairs to find her seat in their backyard. Her dad turned to look at her once again.

"You're beautiful pumpkin." He smiles his watery smile while his daughter gives him an equally watery smile.

"Thanks papa." She says as she hugs him. The separate and he offers his arm to her. They walk to the top of the stairs and wait their cue.

"Last chance. We can still slip out the back if you want?" He asks as he looks at her seriously.

"Dad!" She exclaims as she pinches him with her hand resting on his elbow. Suddenly the music started, and she took a deep breath.

"Don't worry pumpkin." He patted her arm. "I won't let you fall." He says as they begin their descent.

A nervous smile takes over her face as they reach the isle and see All Might at the End with Gran Torino in the spot of the officiant. Beside All Might stood David Shield and Sir Nighteye. All Might turned and tears of utter happiness filled his eyes as he looked at his future.

5 Months Later

All Might walked into his and Akemi's new home after a long day at work. He kicked off his shoes and headed for the dining room. He stopped short and a smile crossed his face as he saw a birthday cake and a gift on the table. He heard steps coming from behind so he turned and low and behold his wife stood staring at him. He noticed right away a nervous look on her face.

"Is everything alright Emi?" He asked.

"Everything is fine! Happy Birthday!" She rushed out in one breath before rushing over to light the candle on his cake.

"Here, blow out your candle and make a wish!" She exclaims as she holds the cake up to his face. He smiles and blows the candle out and then takes the cake from her and sets it back on the table.

"Akemi, sit down." He pulls a chair out for her and then sits in the one next to it. He grabs her hand and pulls it to himself. "What's wrong?" He asked as he looked in her eyes. She bit her lip and then sighed before reaching for his gift.

"Why don't you open your gift and then we will talk." She says quietly while holding the gift out to him. He looks at it before hesitantly taking it. Pulling out the tissue paper he saw fabric at the bottom of the bag. He reaches in and pulls it and something false out and back into the bag. He sets the fabric on the table and reaches back into the bag for what looks like a plastic popsicle stick.

"What's this?" He asks as he lifts it up. He flips it over and freezes before quickly looking at Akemi who wore an even more nervous look on her face. He sets the stick on the table then grabs the fabric and quickly unfolds it. It was a shirt and inside the shirt laid a tiny onesie that read.

'DADDIES LITTLE HERO' while the shirt read 'MY LITTLE HERO'S NUMBER 1 FAN.'

All Might looked back at Akemi.

"You're…." He left the question open, but she understood what he was asking, she simply nodded in response.

"How far?"

"3 months. I've known for a while; I just didn't know how to tell you. To be honest I was worried, we never really talked about kids." She smiled a nervous smile and then finally met his eyes. He looked back at the onesie and shirt and his eyes twinkled.

"Your pregnant! I can't believe I'm going to be a dad!" His mega watt smile filled his face as he stood up and picked Akemi up.

"Have you told anyone?"

"I didn't want to say anything until you knew." She smiled as tears filled her eyes. "I was so worried!" She started to sob as he held her.

"Oh! Akemi! Love why?" He asked as he set her down.

"We hadn't talked about it! And I was worried you would think it was too much and too soon." She hiccupped.

"Hun. I love it! And I will love them! Do you know what it is yet?" He asked. She shook her head no.

"I should find out during my appointment next month." She mumbled.

"Great! That gives us plenty of time to figure out how to tell your parents!" He clenched his fist and then pulled out his phone muttering as he typed.

"Baby announcement ideas for first time grandparents." She wiped the tears from her eyes and touched her small bump that was just starting to show.

6 months later

"All Might! You have a call on your personal line."

'Earlier this evening All Might stopped a trio of villains from escaping police during a high-speed chase. Just as the villains were secured his side kick Sir Nighteye approached holding a cell phone claiming All Might had received a personal call. Shortly after receiving the phone All Might rushed off without any explanation. After trying to question Sir Nighteye on the call, the sidekick rushed off after his pro mentor. I think I speak for all of us when I say we are curious as to the conditions of that phone call. It truly is a mystery.'

The news caster finished as clips of All Might's work played on the tv in the waiting room. A man and woman paced anxiously from wall to wall as Gran Torino and Sir Nighteye rushed in.

"We didn't miss it did we!" The woman shook her head as she continued her pacing. The side kick and the pro hero sat down and joined the couple in their waiting. Beyond a set of double doors and down a hall the voices of screaming women filled the air. In one of the private rooms in the back a small heavily pregnant woman laid panting while a large muscular man wearing a hero costume stood behind her anxiously waiting. In front of the couple stood Recovery Girl a well-known medical hero.

"Keep pushing Akemi. You're almost done." The older pro coaxed the young woman from her spot in front of the couple.

"AGHHHHHHH" With that final push a rush of liquid and a small body came rushing into the world. The older woman cradled the baby in her arms as she wiped it's face off and then sucked any fluid out of the babies mouth. The infant squirmed a minute and then opened it's mouth and started wailing. A sigh of relief left the mouths of both the woman and the man standing behind her as the older woman handed the infant to it's mother.

"Congratulations! It's a girl!" Recovery Girl smiled "And you owe me All Might!"

"I know! I just couldn't trust anyone else to help us with this." All Might said as he glanced down at the babies face for the first time and then froze.

"Ah yes, I remember that look. She already has her daddy wrapped around her finger." Recovery girl smiled as she turned and left the room.

4 years later

"Toshi! Come here!" Akemi yelled from the nursery. In a panic Toshinori leapt to his feet and rushed to Emiko's room.

"What is it? What's wrong." He barreled into the room looking for a threat. He stilled when his eyes landed on his daughter floating in front of her mother.

"Her quirk's developed!" Akemi smiled.

'That's….not possible…it looks just like…' All Might thought. Before he could finish his thought Emiko sneezed and a few puffs of snow fell.

1 year later

"I am here! Home at last!" All Might came rushing in the door to his families home. He was quickly greeted by the sound of running footsteps.

"Daddy!" A young girl with blonde hair and purple tips came barreling into the shins of one very tall very muscular hero.

"EMI!" The hero yelled as he picked up his daughter. "How is the little princess?" He asked as he settled her on his shoulder. The girl chuckled as she hugged his head.

1 year later

"How bad is it Toshi?" A voice asked as the young girl crept through the hallway to her parent's bedroom door.

"I don't know. But I want you two to be safe. We may need to prepare some plans just in case." A male voice answered.

3 years later

"Be safe Toshi! Please come back soon." A purple haired woman and a 9-year-old girl with blonde and purple hair stood at the edge of the genkan as the number 1 hero stood ready to leave. Tears filled the young girls eyes as she ran up to hug her father.

"Come home soon Dad." She sobbed as he hugged her back, she took a step back as he kissed his wife goodbye and then turned to leave. His upcoming battle would be one that changed his life forever.

The next day

"His room is this way. Maybe you can talk some sense into him."

"Nighteye, how bad is it." Akemi didn't receive an answer just a solemn look and a shake of the head.

"Emiko, stay out here"

"But mom!"

"No arguing, stay." Emiko stood for a few seconds after her mother walked into the hospital room before she crept up to the door and opened it a crack to listen.

"Oh Toshi!" She could hear her mother crying and her fathers raspy voice. "What happened? How?" she sobbed.

"He fought against All For One, the battle did not go as planned." Gran Torino answered from his spot by the window.

"I'm sorry hunny." Emiko heard her fathers raspy voice. Emiko straightened then looked down each side of the hall. Once seeing no one was coming she turned back to the door only for Nighteye to shut the door all the way. Emiko sighed and then walked over to the chairs in the waiting room. It wasn't long before she fell asleep.

It was roughly an hour later that quiet voices woke her.

"…sleep, this is going to be tough on her."

"I don't understand Torino. If he won why do we have to go into hiding?"

"All for One is a master at villainy. And now that he knows about you two that increases the danger for you. Now, we should wake her, it may be a while before she gets to see her father again." Akemi sighed and wiped her tears again before she reached out and shook her daughter.

"Emiko, come, lets go see your father." Emiko opened her eyes and looked at her mothers swollen face. She stood and walked towards the door of her fathers room with her mother.

"Toshi? Emiko is coming in." Her mother said as she opened the door. The two walked in and Emiko gasped at the sight of her father bruised and bandaged.

"Daddy!" She cried as she rushed to his bedside.

"Emi, my little pumpkin." Toshinori managed a small smile as he reached out and caressed his daughters head. He sighed and looked at his wife who was crying once more.

"Emiko, I need you to listen closely, your mother and you are going to go with Grandpa Sora." Her father said as he cupped her cheek.

"For how long?" She asked.

"For a while" He answered.

"Are you coming with us?" Toshinori stilled before he looked her in the eye with tears in his.

"No, I can't pumpkin." He whispered. Emiko reached up and touched the hand on her cheek.

"Why not?" She whimpered. Her mother didn't let her stay long as the move to Musutafu would be taking place tomorrow.

4 years later

"Mom…..I want to go to UA. I want to be a hero." Akemi looked up from the cutting board at her daughter.

"And, this wouldn't have anything to do with your father starting at UA as a teacher would it?" Emiko froze. "That's what I thought. Emiko, you know why we kept you away from your father."

"I know mom but…It's UA. Plus there will be a bunch of pro heros there! And no one knows about me and you!" Emiko whined. Akemi sighed.

"You know if he see's you during the entrance exam he is going to throw a fit." Akemi said.

"That's why I sent a letter to principal Nezu, ironically enough, he already knew about me. He is going to help me get in through recommendation, so dad won't see me until classes actually start! Plus! I won't have to travel far!"

"You what?" Her mom looked up at Emiko with a confused look. Emiko just looked back with a sheepish smile. Her mother sighed and set down the knife before smiling at her daughter.

"I suppose, I can't say much that will dissuade you." She smiled as her daughter's face looked up in excitement.

"Great! The exam for recommendation's is in 2 weeks." She rushed to her room.

"What? 2 weeks? So soon!?" Her mother gasped.

2 weeks later

The day dawned bright and early as Emiko walked to UA High for the recommendation entrance exam.

The exam began with a written portion which was easy enough, there was then a short break in between the written and practical portion of the exam. Emiko took this time to look around at the other kids who were taking the exam with her. She sat in between two girls, the one on her right was named Momo Yaoyorozu and the one on the left was named Setsuna Tokage. Then there were three boys. One who was silent and refused to interact with anyone, his hair was half white half red. Then second was a taller boy who was very social and outgoing, his name is Inasa Yaorashi, and the third was a boy named Juzo Honenuki. With the short break ending Present Mic led us to a UA facility that looked like a large obstacle course.

Emiko POV

The practical exam would be a race between the 6 of us. We were allowed to use our quirks as much as we want so long as we stayed within the boundaries of the track. The test was fairly straight forward and all 6 of us took off at the sound of the bell. Inasa immediately shot to the front and he was followed quickly by the half and half boy. I kept pace with the girls for a while until we came across the first obstacle, boulders. Boulders were rolling down hill towards us while we ran along the route. It slowed down the others but I used a few gusts of wind to slow the boulders heading towards me down so I could pass before they reached me. When we rounded into the second obstacle course we were met with moving foot holds that we were supposed to use to cross the water. Disregarding these foot holds I made myself float and used some wind to push my way across the water. As soon as solid ground was beneath me, I lowered myself and continued running towards the next curve. I rounded the curve and came face to face with a wall of ice that was shooting towards the finish line. It shocked me for a second before I noticed the insane chill coming from the ice. I raised the temperature around my body and then took off after the two front runners. I was about 20 feet from the finish line when I heard Present Mic announce Inasa as the first-place winner followed by Shoto Todoroki and then myself. I walk towards Inasa to congratulate him, and I am shocked to find him staring at Todoroki with a massive amount of discontent.

"Uh, Inasa?" The boy turned to look at me and a smile immediately bloomed across his face.

"Hi! You know my name!"

"Uh, yea. I just wanted to say congrats on taking first place. Your quirk is incredible!"

"Thanks" he said before looking back towards Todoroki. I shifted my gaze and then noticed Yayorozu and Setsuna finishing. I gave them a smile as Present Mic announced the completion of the exam and sent us on our way to wait for our results.

1 week later

"Emiko! Your results are here!" I was busy watching a news cast about a sludge villain taking a boy hostage. Another boy attempted to rescue him but endangered himself. Just when things were looking bad All Might arrived and saved the day.

I heard my door open as a picture of All Might at the scene was displayed. I turned to look at my mom with a smile on my face.

"He's here mom! He's in Musutafu!" I say as she walks up to me. Her eyes start to water at the sight of my dad on the TV. She hands me an envelope that has UA High on the front. I stare at the envelope for a second before I reach for the scissors I keep in my desk. I rip open the top and a little disc falls out and comes to life spitting out a little hologram of Present Mic.

"Hello Listener! It's your favorite radio host here with your results!

Emiko Yagiito! You place second in the written exam and third in the practical. Great Job! I hope you're ready for a rockin time at UA High because you have been accepted! YEAAAAHHHHHH! Inside the envelope you will find your class assignment and your UA High official ID."

"I knew you would get in." My mother says softly while she puts a hand on my shoulder. I look at her and she has a watery smile on her face.

"After all, you are your fathers daughter." A large smile takes over my face as I pull out the paper that has my ID and my class assignment on it.

'Congratulations Emiko Yagi-Ito, you have been accepted into the hero course at UA High. Your class assignment is 1-A. Class begins April **. We look forward to seeing you on our campus.

Principal Nezu.'

I reread the letter twice before I set it down and looked back at the screen where the picture of my dad was still displayed.

'I'll see you soon….dad' I think.
