Nix, Dreamer, and I spend the day traveling East. We're heading towards a place called Gotham City because Dreamer hopes she'll find survivors there.

As the sun sets, we set up camp in one of the more stable buildings. When I awake, I'm somewhere completely different.

I'm laying on a bed in a dimly lit room. To my left, rays of sunlight are peeking through the curtains. My red leather jacket hangs over the back of a grey chair. My black boots sit on the same chair. To my right, a hologram of a forest adorns the grey wall. In front of me, a mirror hangs above a grey dresser. I stand up and don my jacket and boots.

When I lost my memory, I forgot what I looked like, but when I stare into the mirror, I'm not surprised. My long black hair is streaked with blue and falls below my waist. My short-sleeved shirt is navy blue, like my eyes. Recent burn scars cover my right arm, up to my shoulder.

I now remember that my name is Kata Jor-El and I am twenty-four years old.

I turn away and walk out of the room.

In the hallway, a woman I don't recognize is walking towards me.

"Your awake," she said. "I'm Xneen. Thank you so much for watching over my son."

"Your Nix's mother?" I ask.

"Yes. He disappears every so often, but he's never been gone an entire month before."

"A month? We met just a few days ago."

"We have a device that dampens his abilities, but he keeps losing it. My husband would like to speak to you."

When I entered the room Xneen had directed me to, I didn't recognize it's occupant, yet I was still filled with rage. I didn't know who this was, but I knew that he had ruined my life.

"You," I state.

"Kata Jor-El," he replies. "We may have never seen eye-to-eye, but I now owe you a large sum of gratitude."

"I don't care," I reply. "I just want to go home. It's all I've wanted since I was nine."

"I cannot bring back your world, but that can be arranged."

"What do you mean?"

The Monitor waved his hand and everything went white.
