Clear Sky appreciates his little brother, even though he doesn't show it. He wanted to kidnap the man and keep him for himself. He loves Jagged Peak, but Gray Wing fits him. He is the peacekeeper out of the three: Clear Sky and Jagged Peak attack before they think. Gray Wing always thinks things through.
He can see the hurt that he has caused his little brother. Gray Wing has always been there for him when Clear Sky needed him, only to be pushed away. He wasn't the best person, but he thought he was doing the right things by keeping his group well-fed. He remembers the feeling of starvation in the mountains. He remembers Fluttering Bird's death.
However, he remembers Gray Wing's thin and ribs as he passes prey to others. Clear Sky had to get his brother to eat so he didn't die. Seeing how much the division hurts his little brother, his sorrow swells up inside him. He loves Gray Wing with all his heart. When Bright Stream died, protecting Gray Wing, he was hurt. He loved Bright Stream, and he blamed both of them. Gray Wing confronted him on how it was his fault, and Clear Sky pulled his little brother into a hug.
When Gray Wing introduces Storm, he could tell that Gray Wing loved Storm, but he was selfish and had her for himself. However, Gray Wing never fought for her. Instead, he let the two be, and when Strom left Clear Sky, Gray Wing cared for her. When Gray Wing brought Thunder to him, Clear Sky was sick to his stomach.
The older brother rejected Thunder, and Gray Wing raised him. Gray Wing helped get his children back when Slash took them. But, Clear Sky never told his brother how much he loved him. So, the two rekindled their relationship, and Clear Sky is trying to be a better leader and father. However, Gray Wing will always be Thunder's dad, and Clear Sky wouldn't have it any other way. He can never forget what Gray Wing has suffered and given to the rest of them.
