July 1976, New York

The five year old's life was nothing but joyful. She lived in the upper side of town with her stay at home mother by her side who catered to her every need. While she did not get to see her dad a lot throughout the day due to his long working hours. In the weekends he made it up for the little one and spoiled her non stop. This weekend however Y/N's father decided to take the family to a small getaway to their house in the country side to enjoy a bit of quality time with his two favorite girls. Little did he know that he would not get the chance to do so. The moment they had stepped into their car was the moment destiny decided to crash all of their plans; literally.

~Elmhurst public hospital~

" 5 year old girl, was in a car crash; both her legs are broken as well as what seems to be a fracture on her left arm; there could be possible internal bleeding." The nurse reported to the doctor

" We have to check on that quickly!" the doctor said " Where are her parents?"

" They died in the crash sir" the nurse said sadly.

" Well contact her next of kin and let us pray that there are no underlying injuries"

~ Asgard~

" My sons, how are you doing this evening?"

" We are good father, we were just on our way to race our horses; care to join?" Thor said in his overly joyful way that always made it very hard for Loki to not roll his eyes.

" Both of you really need to start stop playing around and help out in your duties more! One of you is going to be a king soon." Odin said in his known quite but angry tone.

" Father, we finished all of our tasks for today we where just... ahhh'"

Before Loki could complete his sentence he had felt an extreme shooting pain from his soul mark that ran down his arm and heart. He could not help but let out a small but noticeable groan.

" Are you okay brother?" Thor asked in concern while the King looked at his raven haired son skeptically.

Loki still felt the pain shooting in his arms, but quickly casted an illusion to mask both of his pain and concern on the situation.

" Never better" He said with a smile " I have to go though. You are right father, we must take our duties more seriously" he gave a small bow to Odin and headed quickly to his room.

As soon as he reached his room, Loki fell into the ground grasping his left arm in pain. He lifted up his sleeve to find that his soul mark was glowing.

" What happened to you, little one?" Loki asked no one in particular.

For the past five years the young god had managed to forget about his new predicament until today. Now all he could think about was what was the young girl going through in order to project this much pain onto him.

After 30 minutes, the pain started to fade away and Loki was able to walk and move with little discomfort; That is when he decided he needed to go to Heimdall to visit Midgard once again.

" I hope you are okay, Y/N" Loki thought as he headed towards his destination.

" My prince!" Heimdall greeted

" Heimdall" Loki nodded " I need to visit Midgard"

" I am afraid I cannot permit you your majesty" Heimdall said with a hint of sadness in his voice

" Why not?" Loki said angrily

" The king forbade it"

" What?..."

" He also requests your presence your majesty"

Loki's face paled; fearing his father finding out about his soulmate. He grabbed whatever courage he could muster and charged to his father's chambers.

" You requested my presence father?"

" You think I would not find out about your soulmate son?"

" Father, I am so..'"

" Quite"

" Father I just did not want you to bring her here and take her away from her family"

" QUITE" Yelled Odin

" You actually believed that I would bring a Midgardian to Asgard? let alone one who is not of royal blood?"

" Soul mates or not, no member of the royal family gets to be with tainted blood"

" but, father..." Loki said with a high pitch while holding in his tears

" Both your mother and I gave up our soulmates for the sake of the throne, and that is what you will do and that is what your brother will do"

" From now on there will be no visits to Midgard without my permission or else" Threatened the King

" Do you understand me Loki?"

Loki looked at the ground as he nodded

" Good, you are dismissed"

~New York~

Joan Schmidt got a random call on Saturday afternoon, his brother and his sister in law had died in a terrible car accident leaving their badly injured daughter behind. Despite his rusty relationship with his brother, he was apparently the new guardian of said child.

He quickly hurried to the hospital and went immediately to the reception

" Hello, I am here on behalf of Y/N Schmidt, where is she?"

" Are you the girl's uncle?" a doctor said from behind the German scientist

" Yes, is she okay?"

" That is the thing.. she is more than okay, all of her injuries have healed in the span of 30 minutes"

" What? " questioned the scientist in disbelief

" she must be some sort of miracle"

" Yes... she must be.." Schmidt said while already forming several plans in his mind.
