'Is it worth it?'

Arthur wandered around Connaught's library, as he knew that there would be something different in that castle than the one he lived in all of his life. However, this time he went in secret, he knew he shouldn't have gone there, but he had a plan in mind. The one thing he didn't expect to find was a tome of sorts. A wind tome specifically, though he was not sure which variant. He didn't want to learn about it for obvious reasons. But even so, he took a good long look at it.

He had to ask himself again, was it worth it?

Even now, he still wanted to kill Blume in cold blood, but he knew he couldn't do that, not without the proper preparations. Even with his newly obtained way of learning fire magic, that wouldn't work. Thunder beat Fire, common knowledge for a mage. Thunder magic perhaps? No, it wouldn't be that effective, not with Blume's magical resistance for thunder.

Wind magic was his only option.

That was it, huh? He was going to use wind magic, despite his initial denial.

He had the right blood to use it, if his brand proved anything. In theory, it should work better than his minor Thrud blood. Plus, the added bonus of Wind's effectiveness against Thunder, it all made sense.

Everything clicked in his head; he should just take the tome from the library and take it with him. But even with his newfound vengeance, he was held back by the anger and fear the power of Wind brought. His father used it after all.

But in the end, he took the tome and quickly ran to his room, hopefully unnoticed.

Once he shut the door, he huffed and took out the wind tome and opened it. Upon doing so, a gust of wind surrounded the tome, and for a moment he thought the wind would be strong enough to knock down things in the room. Arthur continued to cast simple spells, watching the wind become stronger inside the book.

After some more analyzing, he realized that the wind was glowing, a bright green specifically. He wasn't sure if that was because of his Holy Blood or if that was supposed to happen. If the former was the case, perhaps that explained why he could use it so easily.

...Fascinating.

As he adapted multiple stances he had learned during his training, he noticed how the design at the center glowed the same color as wind itself, a bright green. While he couldn't attack anything in particular, he could feel some sort of power flowing through him, it was strong. He had to try this out when he got the chance, it was all so fascinating. The incantations inside the book too...he had only used the tome once, but he could recognize them as if he had studied them for years. Unlike thunder magic where he had to take his time to study. But this...it came so easily.

It felt so nice to use too.

Perhaps his father did pass down something useful, that being his holy blood.

With that, Arthur recited some incantations he had already memorized and with only a few attempts. A small tornado appeared around his hand, still that same bright green too. He knew exactly what he was going to do next.

Staring at the wind that appeared on his hand, he grinned wickedly.

"Aaaaaaaaamid!" Fee waved over to where Amid was, surprisingly he was accompanied by a brown haired young girl, she looked similar to Tinni in a way.

"Hey Fee, what's up?" He frowned upon seeing Fee.

"Nothingggg, we were just looking for you is all, Tinni was curious to know where you were so we went and looked for you! Also who's this? A friend of yours, perhaps? Or maybe more than that! I would like to know all the details!" She giggled, looking over at Tinni, who only smiled.

Amid completely disregarded Fee and immediately looked over at the Thunder Mage. "Oh, Tinni! I'm glad you're here, I have the best news!"

"Hey! Did you hear me?" Fee asked, but Amid still didn't respond. She would've left with Julia, but she was too curious to know what the situation was, so she stayed.

Tinni cocked her head. "Wh-what happened Amid?"

He didn't answer, only turned toward the person in question who looked at him as well, then over to Tinni. "I've found my sister, Linda!"

Immediately she turned over to her long-lost cousin, who was just behind Amid, and said, "Linda! Y-You're alright!" She then ran up to hug her, to which Linda smiled.

"Yeah, I'm alive and well. At least as much as I can be. A few months ago I escaped Alster with the help of Ishtore and Ishtar, and then with enough journeying, I made it to Lord Leif's army."

"I'm so happy. I thought you were dead...I never saw you in Alster, and Amid said…" Tinni's voice began to break as she tried to hold back her crying.

Linda patted her cousin's head to calm her down. "It's alright, Tinni, I'm here…"

She sniffed. "Yeah, I'm just so happy right now...I'm just glad I got to see you again, it's been so long."

"Yeah...and I already heard about what's happened to Arthur...has to be painful."

"I-It has yeah, he got himself taken back, it's horrible. I just...want him back." Tinni cried.

"We can do it. From what I have heard, Lord Leif and Lord Seliph are going to combine forces and head to Connaught. We'll be unstoppable!"

Tinni hesitantly nodded, trying to still hold onto hope. "Y-Yeah! We will!"

Linda nodded, making eye contact with her. "That's the spirit! We'll do great!"

Just then, they looked up and saw Seliph clapping to get everyone's attention. Once the room fell silent and he had everyone's attention, he cleared his throat and said. "Everyone, sorry for interrupting you but we need to go to Connaught. Blume is still out there and we must take care of him before he gets more reinforcements. We have the perfect chance now that he and his troops have been heavily damaged. We need to stop him now and for all."

'Connaught…' Tinni thought. Soon enough she would rescue Arthur; hopefully, he'd still be there and alive. She couldn't tell, but if he was alive, she would do everything in her power to protect him. And so Blume could be finally taken down. She was so close to finally living a peaceful life without them.
