Chapter 2
He's never done it before.
Well, that's a lie, but to have permission to do this complete take over, yes, that was a first time for him.
Ryujin took full control over Itadori's body. The two had a talk about it, and Ryujin was curious to what he could do. "Twenty four hours, it's all I ask," Ryujin said.
Yuuji smirked. "Okay,"
"I won't do anything…" Ryujin froze. "Did you just agree?"
"Yes," he said and smiled warmly. "I told you before, all you had to do was ask, also I know you aren't out to hurt anyone, you really are the greater roommate that I have had here. But sure, you want 24 hours. You can have it. Just let me know when,"
He was surprised that he was so willing to allow him to have control. "How about tomorrow?" he asked.
Itadori nodded in agreement. "Sounds good, I'll go visit Yua and Grandpa, I haven't been to that part of the soul scape in a while. I hope they are okay…"
Ryujin smiled back and nodded.
When the day arrived. Ryujin felt strange. Slowly he woke, only to stare up at a poster of a woman in a bikini above his bed. "Interesting sight to wake up to…" he muttered.
Despite the times he has possessed Itadori, this felt a little strange. After all, control was given willingly, he didn't have to suddenly switch out with the boy, and yet the body felt different too. His elemental power coursed through him, and yet he kept it remarkably in check. He has grown far stronger than the time he was put into Itadori. "I must give this child credit where it's due…" slowly he sat himself up. He felt everything, the bed sheets against his skin, the smell of them for that matter. "I wonder if he washed these recently…" There was a hint of lavender in the material but he shrugged it off.
Easing out of the bed, Ryujin walked about the room. He has seen it all before, yet to have such a crisp understanding of his surroundings is nothing less than a pleasure for him. Looking over the body, he found he wore merely a pair of shorts. "I don't think this is proper attire to go out into the world in… let's see clothing…" He sifted through the drawers and found some things to wear. A hoodie, broken in blue jeans, clean socks and a set of running shoes at the side of the bed.
When he was satisfied with his look, Ryujin wondered out of the room. But caught his reflection before leaving. He managed to suppress the curse marks on Itadori's body, his demon eyes were closed up but his hair was pure white. "I suppose some things I can't alter…"
He peered about the room once more and nodded. Ryujin walked out and stretched himself. The tense sensation in his spine after his stretch. "Perhaps something to eat first… Ooo… I get to eat!" he said with great excitement.
"Itadori?"
He paused; slowly he turned to see Megumi stare at him oddly. "Or should I say, Ryujin?"
He smiled. "Just for today, nothing serious, I promise, and I will return him!" he vowed.
"If you were anyone else I wouldn't have believed you… still… it's odd to see him possessed by someone reasonable."
Ryujin paused. "I hate to ask, but you have seen Sukuna take control of him more than once, have you?"
"Too many times than what I care for."
He nodded in understanding. "I'm sorry you had to see your friend go through that, it only goes to show how much you cared about him as well…"
Megumi paused. "Wait…"
"I won't say a word, not to worry. You are always the kind that keeps a brave face on for everyone else, to know everything will be okay…"
He didn't move. Fushiguro was silent yet his mouth was partly open in shock. "How…"
"I've been around for a few thousand years… I may not be human, but I know and understand personalities and traits of many. You are the strong, silent and brooding type. Yet when it comes to your friends and those you care about, you would put your life on the line for them. Just like Itadori would."
He merely nodded. "So… what are you going to do today?"
Ryujin grinned. "Eat!" he said. "I'm always jealous of the wonderful food the fledgling makes and consumed for himself. I wish to partake in a good feast," he decreed.
"Well, I don't think you are going to find much here unless you can cook. If anything head out to eat today… do you have money?"
Ryujin paused as he patted down the pockets.
"You may want to hide the other arms too..."
"Oh right, I forgot," Ryujin laughed. He was able to hide them with ease, a little energy went into the concealment of the limbs until he appeared rather normal. "Now, money…"
"Master?"
Megumi jumped as Kitsune appeared out of nowhere. "Ah, Kitsune, right on time! I wish to go out today…"
She smiled and changed her appearance. If anything she took on the look of a school girl and appeared younger as well. "Then I shall accompany you. And not to worry, I heard Megumi's concern earlier about money. I do have that covered." She said and held up a wallet.
"Whose…"
"Suiryu's" she said with a proud grin. "I am certain he wouldn't mind," her smile grew even more twisted. "Come master, let's indulge you today!"
"Do you wish to come along?" Ryujin asked.
Fushiguro shook his head. "I still have class to go to… how did Itadori get out of it?"
Kitsune snickered. "Do you really think someone is going to enforce Ryujin to attend school?"
There was no answer.
"Come Kitsune, I am hungry and wish to eat! Where's a good place to start?"
"Master, I have just the restaurant, let's make certain you get your fill!"
#
Kitsune took him into the heart of Tokyo.
There were many places to go and things to see, but Ryujin first wanted a good meal. Something filling and yet satisfying for himself. The first location he was taken to was a buffet. He paused at the offerings before turning to Kitsune. "That's a lot of food…" he whispered.
She smiled and nodded. "I do suggest if you are going to eat, make it worth it. I do believe young master won't be welcomed back here, if you clear the place out in your first visit…" she whispered discreetly.
Ryujin bore a greedy look. "Well then, let's begin."
They took a table for two and explained that the buffet was an all you can eat for a set price. "You are welcome to go back for more when you want more, leave your plates at the table and we well clear them, but please use a fresh plate for every time you go back." The waitress explained.
He licked his lips with anticipation and nodded to the conditions. He was unleashed from that moment on!
#
He shuttered.
Suiryu just got a chill go down his spine from a strange sensation. "Why do I have a feeling I am missing something?" he muttered in a half sleepy tone.
"Oy, Sensei, are we not suppose to be training?" demanded Mika.
"Huh? Oh, right…"
"Are you actually tired?" she questioned with a snicker.
He shrugged. "Probably," yet even in this state, she hasn't landed a hit on him yet! "Either way, are you going to hit me now or… what's the story here?"
It only rallied her up!
Mika came at him hard and fast, yet still, he avoided every strike she attempted to make, all the while he kept fighting back the yawns and urge to take a nap. He could see her getting frustrated more and more until finally she was out of strength.
She panted aloud as she glared at him. Suiryu felt as if he were half asleep. "Huh? We're done?" he asked.
"How… how come I can't hit you now? Before I could!" she protested.
"Oh…" He shrugged his shoulders to it. "Maybe I got stronger somehow?" he said offhandedly. "I mean, when I was brought here. I had about… 15 fingers of Sukuna's original power… but we have been doing a lot of fighting… I've been learning off of Yuuji and you guys… maybe I did get a little stronger?"
She couldn't believe it. She refused to believe it. "How could you in a short amount of time?"
He once more carelessly shrugged his shoulders to it all. "Well, either way all it does is raise the bar for everyone else. Step up your game. You're dismissed for now… I'm going to take a nap"
He never felt tired like this before, but what he said aloud is also true. He has gotten stronger than before, but the difference is rather remarkable.
Suiryu ventured to the dorm, he wondered into his room before flopping on the bed. "This is strange, normally I never feel like this… huh…" he muttered. But his eyes closed and he was quick to pass out.
His mind wondered.
Yet he found himself in a very familiar place.
"Huh? What the hell?" he stood before a house and heard laughter inside. Peering through the window, he saw Yuuji with grandpa and Yua. He felt the urge to go in and join them, yet as he reached for the door, he stopped himself. "I shouldn't… I'm not part of this family…" he said to himself.
Yet as he turned away, the door opened. Someone grabbed hold of his shoulder and pulled him into the house!
"Where did you think you were going?" Grandpa demanded.
Suiryu froze as everyone was staring at him. "Long time no see," Yua snickered. "Did Ryujin send you here?"
"No… I just passed out taking a nap… I'm oddly tired,"
"Oh here's the kicker on that!" Yuuji said aloud to the room. "Not only has he become a top model, he's now a rock star, did a rock opera of what happened to me, started a band with the brothers I was telling you about AND goes on tour at the same time teaches!" Yuuji bragged aloud.
Yua smirked as she turned to Suiryu. "So much for taking it easy huh?"
"And you couldn't bother to visit your grandfather?" Suiryu paused as the old man glared at him. "I thought you were raised better than that!"
"Gramps…" he whispered but then shied away.
"Ah, that's familiar!" Yua laughed aloud.
"What is?" he demanded.
"Whenever you were unsure, or if you felt you weren't deserving of something… you shied away like that! You have done so the moment you were a little Itadori," she snickered aloud. "It's rather adorable if you think about it."
Yuuji giggled as well. "It's true," he said. "Still, what brings you here?"
"I don't know, as I said, I just went for a nap, next thing I knew I was here… I could stick around until I wake up again. But I am wondering, why am I getting stronger?" he said aloud. He told Yuuji he was training Mika, half asleep and yet she never landed a hit on him. Before she could, but today it was impossible for her and he wasn't even trying. "I've not done anything special. I've been training others, modeling and singing, that's it!"
The room paused, until Yua turned to Yuuji. "You've gotten a lot more powerful, I can tell… hm," she paused for a moment. "I wonder if you two are linked somehow. I mean, Suiryu is in a clone of Yuuji's body… but if there's a soul connection…"
"Why the fuck would we have that?" Suiryu demanded. "I'm from a deplorable bastard, there's no way our souls would be connected."
SMACK!
Right upside his head! He felt grandfather strike him.
"Ow… wait. How can you hurt me!?" Suiryu demanded.
"Don't ever underestimate grandpa," Yuuji warned but snickered. "Sometimes a good slap gets you thinking properly, trust me, I know."
"Still, why would our souls be connected? I came from Sukuna, Yuuji was merely a vessel to him."
Yua smirked. "Who took care of you when you were no bigger and nothing more than a grain of sand?" she asked in a curious tone.
Suiryu paused. Yuuji did too. "Wait, you think we connected that way? Since I took care of him?"
"He had to be feeding off of you to get to where he was," Yua stated. "After all, a soul fragment can only grow when properly tended to. It needs to feed off another soul to form, grow and educate itself. Take into consideration this is also how Suiryu learned right from wrong, his good intentions come from Yuuji."
Suiryu froze to the news, he stared at Yuuji and tried to say something, but couldn't. 'I'm a parasite…' he thought to himself.
"I read it a while ago in a book my uncle had in Tibet. It's not a well-known practice but it is used. Sending soul energy to another being as a form of sustenance. It's similar when you give someone else curse energy. Same principle, but different method and meaning, you see Suiryu. You wouldn't have formed if Itadori here didn't take care of you."
"Does it diminish one's soul?" grandpa asked.
She smirked and shook her head. "Unless he drained him dry of soul essence, nope. Not to mention, Yuuji has such a strong soul, there is more than enough energy for him to lend out. Suiryu also wasn't greedy, he took what he needed."
"I don't quite feel better on the notion… it seems no matter what, Sukuna still sucks the life out of him…" he muttered.
SMACK!
"OW!" he protested again. "Stop that old man!"
"You want another?" he demanded.
Yuuji snickered as Suiryu sneered as he turned away. "Suiryu… I don't mind. In fact, I felt it when it all happened. But the fact remains. Ryujin entrusted you with me, he told me to take care of you. And I did just that, what you became I don't have any regrets over. You've also helped me a lot in more ways than one."
The room nodded. "I even felt depressed when you got depressed!" Yua said aloud. "But to have such a burden put on your shoulders too… I'm at fault for that,"
"I rather be depressed than dead from Sukuna…" he said. "But I admit, it's been hard. I told Kitsune before when I got so powerful… I never felt more alone. My friends… they tried but didn't understand what I was going through. I think Gojo sensei had an idea, but… not on the same level as me." He paused as he peered up at Suiryu. "You get it though,"
He nodded. "To stand at the top and yet no one can stand next to you. To obtain great power yet no one believes you are going to use it to help them and not yourself. To be judged on what you can do, how you do it… it sucks balls,"
Yua smirked for a moment. "For a guy that came from a really old guy, you certainly adapted to the teenage lingo quickly."
Suiryu smirked a little. "I rather sound like a teen, act like a teen than to act my age… then again, how the hell do I even know how old I am? I mean I was created from a single act of kindness that asshole did. So I am not as old as him in a sense…"
"I don't care either way," Yuuji snickered. "I'm just glad I have someone to turn to like you."
Suiryu nodded, but then paused. A depressing look came over him. "God, I'm about to get a wakeup call…" he muttered.
Yuuji paused, so did Yua. "Oh boy, you better wake up before…"
BBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
Suiryu dropped out of bed as an air horn was blasted in his face!
"For fuck's sake!" he shouted. But he peered up to see Satoru grinning from ear to ear. "What the hell!"
"Hey sleepy head… heard you were taking a nap…"
"Fuck you…" Suiryu muttered as he picked himself up off the floor.
"Well I wanted to ask you where Yuuji was."
Suiryu paused. "He's not in class? Oh right, I just spoke to him a moment ago… guess it's Ryujin's day out."
Suddenly, Satoru froze. "Ryujin… has gone out?"
"Yeah, he's got full reign for 24 hours. Yuuji let him have the day, why?"
Satoru still didn't move. "He… let a dragon have full reign of his body for twenty four hours…" he then paused once more. "Does he really understand the consequence for this?"
Suiryu smirked. "All I know he's either going to be too full to move tomorrow, or will be spending his whole day in the bathroom."
