With the help of Leif's guidance, the army had made it to the city of Tahra, where Duchess Linoan was happy to help guide them toward a way to Grannvale. The only thing they had to do now was prepare for the big battle that was to come. Arthur in particular was doing whatever he could to be as ready as possible to face Hilda. He got a boost of confidence since he recently started to learn how to battle on horseback, a boost in movement meant he could go straight into the action. He really looked forward to what was to come once he mastered it.

He was training day and night with barely any rest, he still couldn't forgive himself for not being able to even put up a fight against Blume; he had to make up for it and this was his chance. But in one of his training sessions he was met with someone unexpected, it was Nanna.

"Hi, Arthur." She greeted him with a wave.

"Oh, hi there Nanna, is there anything you need?"

"No, nothing in particular, but I've noticed you've been a little stuck in your head. Similar to back in Connaught, so I thought it would be a good idea to check up on you."

"I'm fine, I'm just...ecstatic about this, we're finally reaching Grannvale, which also means we'll be nearing Friege. Which also means we, or rather, I will see Hilda, and take her down with my powerful thunder!"

"Uh uh, I'm not going to let you do that. Have you not looked at a map? Friege is far north from where we're headed, we have enough time to prepare. You really need to stop overworking yourself!"

"Hhhhg, if you say so, then what else am I supposed to do?"

"Hmmm..." Nanna pondered on it for a moment, before coming up with an idea. "Oh, didn't you get a horse recently?"

"Uhhh, yeah, not long ago. Having a bit of a struggle with it though."

"Oh, well this'll be perfect then! Finn taught me a lot about riding horseback during my childhood, so I'd be happy to help you! Don't worry you are in good hands!"

Arthur was intrigued then, perhaps she was correct, he could use that to his advantage. "Huh, you know what, I like that idea!"

"Yay! Now, let's go to the stables! We can go for a ride around the mountains!" Nanna said and quickly ran away towards the stables.

"H-Hey! Wait for me!" Arthur ran after her and she giggled lightly.

They had made it to the stables and let their horses out, Arthur tried to put the saddle on his horse but they were very tense, to which Arthur let out a frustrated grunt.

"Here, let me help!" Nanna intervened, taking the saddle from him. Then petting the horse's muzzle. "It's okay, boy." Then she put the saddle onto the young colt. "There, easy!"

Arthur meanwhile was astonished at how easy that was for her. "Wh-How did you do that?"

"I've had a lot of experience with horses, I know how to calm them down."

"I see...I suppose I need to practice more, then. Why is riding a horse much harder than I thought?"

Nanna placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled. "It's like with every new thing, it takes time, but then it'll become second nature! Think about the trouble you had with your magic skills, surely it was not easy at first."

Arthur looked at his hand, she did have a point, he thought. It took forever for him to learn the power of Thoron and use it with his own hands. "Yeah...thinking about it now, it was."

"Hmmm…" Nanna looked at Arthur's horse for a moment, before asking. "Does he have a name?"

That caused him to give her a look of absolute confusion. "What? Of course not. Do people even name their horses?"

"Well of course they do! It's how you can grow closer to them. My mare here is named Asta! She's the cutest little thing!" Nanna beamed, petting her own horse. "You should give your horse a name! It will help a lot!"

Arthur sighed, it was probably for the best. "If you say so…" He began to think about it. He had never been good at names, but why would he? He never had time to think of such stupid things! Though, perhaps his studying did have him come up with one specific name in particular. "Thrud."

"Thrud! Oh, like the Crusader?" Nanna asked him.

"Yeah, like the Crusader. It might be a bit out there, but I like it." He looked over at his horse, grinning. "Hello there Thrud." The horse shook his head in response. Arthur could definitely get used to this.

The troubadour jumped excitedly. "Hooray! Now, shall we go now?"

Arthur nodded as he then got on his horse. "Yeah, let's go!" and then they went outside to ride around the mountains.

What did Julia mean? Ced wished he could understand.

The event where she mentioned something wrong with the book couldn't stay out of his mind. But it was a holy weapon, holy weapons were used by the twelve Crusaders. They couldn't have been dangerous, right? Ced tried to look for information on his ancestor. He never told anybody, but he constantly looked in each castle's libraries (if there was one) and took books regarding the Crusaders. He kept them with him up until now.

He doubted there was going to be much information regarding Sety and more on Njörun or Dáinn given him going to Thracia. But there had to be something! He couldn't find anything back home about Sety, which was awfully suspicious thinking about it now. Then again, his father was a liar, he probably destroyed all of the information about it, but that was also confusing. Why would he do anything to destroy evidence of Sety when Ced himself was named similarly after the Crusader? Something didn't add up, and it confused Ced more as he thought about it.

Then he thought back to the scroll he obtained in Manster. Could Julia's fear be caused by the power of the Sety Scroll? He had seen other scrolls such as Baldr, Odo, and Ullir. He could only know what they were from the signs that appeared on them. Just like the wind symbol on the Sety Scroll.

He probably should've taken that scroll from her if that was the cause of her fear.

If he had the scroll again maybe he would find out what the hell was going down with Silesse and his family. But also he willingly gave the scroll to Julia, it would be rude to take it back without a reason. Though why was that stopping him? It wasn't going to matter to her in the long run, was it?

Placing his hand on the cover of the Forseti Book, he grinned. Perhaps he would do that, perhaps it could all make sense once he obtained everything he absolutely needed.

Just then the door opened, he turned around and saw his sister standing there with the angriest scowl he had seen on her. "Cedsy! Ced! What do you think you're doing with that?"

Alarmed by her shouting, Ced stumbled in his chair, as he tried to calm down, he said, "Fee...sister...what's gotten you so angry? What are you talking about? With what?"

She only shook her head in disbelief. "The book! The Forseti! The tome that is in your hands at this very moment! What do you plan on doing with it?"

Ced shrugged. "It's the tome of my ancestor, it's my right to use it."

"Your right? Your right!? Cedsy you're acting strange, Julia told me everything, she's terrified you know?! Whatever you're doing, it's scaring her!"

"I am sorry, just...my mind has been all over the place…"

"Sure, your mind has been 'all over the place' you've been acting like this ever since I reunited with you! First, you tried to kill Arthur, then you murdered squadrons of dracoknights including Prince Arion! You never like to fight! Now you're scaring poor Julia, and now you're not even going to do so much as feel bad?" Fee huffed, giving her brother a dark glare. "You're just like Father you know? Soon enough you're going to forget I even exist. And what are you going to do about that? That's right, NOTHING. Because you're so caught up in trying to find out about our father's lies when you don't realize you're becoming him! Wake up for Naga's sake! Just WAKE UP!"

Ced was...shaking...hearing his sister yell at him like that, it was scary. He almost wanted to cry, but that would make things much worse than they already were. Was he becoming too much all this time? It wasn't his fault! It wasn't his fault his father was horrible, it wasn't his fault that all of his life was a lie, it wasn't his fault his mother died because his father never cured her, despite knowing exactly how to save her. It was not his fault, he was not to blame for any of this, why couldn't Fee understand that? He was not becoming his Father! He never would be! "It is not my fault...I need to take down Father...who knows what he's been doing while I'm not there. Fee, why can you not understand? I need to use this! I do not know if I can kill Father without it."

"We don't need to focus on Father right now! We still have to free Grannvale from the Empire, Prince Julius is still out there! Why can't you help Julia overcome her fears? She's already been through a lot and she also has to deal with what's to come, and you do this to her? Don't you like her? Now stop using that book and start helping her! Helping your friends! Do that or I'm going to take that tome away by force!" Fee shouted, urging him to give her the Forseti.

Ced tried to get away from his sister. "You are trying to take this away from me? No, I do not want you to end up like me too!"

Fee didn't budge, only went closer to him. "We both know that I cannot use it, for one, magic is not my forte, and two I have minor holy blood. And why would I want to anyway? Looking at you and your insistence to keep that damn thing, I do not want it. So let me lock it away for you!"

"No, absolutely not, it is mine. I am keeping this with me until I see this war through. Do not think you can convince me otherwise!" The wind sage held the book tightly, trying to look for a way to leave with no casualties. "I would kindly ask you to not get in my way, Sister."

"EXCUSE ME? Oh, that's it!" Fee definitely lost her temper now as she forcefully attacked Ced in hopes to take that damn tome away from him. So foolish of her, honestly; Ced had the upper hand, he always had. He was powerful, he knew that almost too well at that point.

"Get off of me!" He shouted, trying to free himself from his sister, but she was so insistent. He really didn't want to do anything rash, but he wasn't scared to do so if she kept that up. It was so frustrating, he just wanted her to stop all of this.

"Not until you hand me that so you can start doing what you NEED to do!" She attempted to pull his other arm in hopes to undo the grip on the book. However he pushed it away, causing her to instead be more persistent.

"Do I really need to do this?" He asked, that same dull expression on his face. Fee looked at him in such a confused way, shaking her head before continuing to try and take the book. Seeing as she was getting in his way, he had no choice but to use Forseti, knocking down his sister in an instant.

"Ugh what the hell are you doing attacking your own sister with that!?" She interrogated him, but then Ced closed the book and left. But not before saying one last thing.

"It had to be done."

And just like that he left the room. Leaving Fee in terrible pain.

Just then Julia came into the room, clutching a staff in her hands. She must've known what happened. "Fee…"

"Oh, Julia, I'm sorry, but he's not listening to me...something is terribly wrong...we must find a way to take that book away from him…"

Julia shook her head, trying not to tear up. "I do not know if it is possible now...perhaps it is already too late…"

"It can't be, what will even happen to him?"

"…I am not sure, but something is happening."

"T-Then…"

"We will have to wait and see...I have the feeling we will find out very soon…" Julia said as she began to heal up Fee.

It was decided, Fee would simply avoid talking with her brother until everything would unfold. She was scared…she didn't want Ced to end up crazy or something. It was all too much. But she could pray they will find a way to fix it all…soon.
