There's another part to being a Huntsman than just protecting and fighting Grimm. There's the show aspect of it. Being a Huntsman can mean being famous. A few verified Huntsman are dedicated fighters. Some participate in televised leagues and bouts. This side of being a Huntsman is more for the fame and fortune aspect of it all. For those who want to be loved worldwide. That's exactly what Hestia Clay wants. The fair skinned girl with a bountiful amount of energy and aura just wants the spotlight. It's the entire reason she begged her parents to enroll her in Signal Academy.
The spotlight. The fame. The glory. The money. She wants it all. She firmly believes that it's better than helping people. Becoming the best fighter in the world. Using each and every skill you have to prove that you're better. It's what she believes in. Some people call her air headed and dull. They spread rumors of her intentions and try their best to keep her from looking good. Though, they are somewhat correct. Her intentions are screwy at best. Her attitude is a draining mess and she's not skilled enough to even be at Signal, but she's in the training room everyday. She's grinding her skill with every professor at Signal. She's become one of the best students at learning how to control her semblance. Doesn't matter to half of the people there, certainly not to someone like Tethys Kai.
Tethys Kai, The Goddess. A nickname given to her by every professor or teacher she's met. The most skilled fighter from a young age. Possible the next best Huntswoman in training. A future headmaster at any of the top schools. A match to any man, let alone any woman. She just happens to be Hestia's greatest rival. Hestia's snub nosed pistol and whip belt is no match for Tethy's two handed sword and swift speed. Even at range, she can't be beat. Praised all her life and put on this peddle stool, she's the envy of Hestia and everyone else.
Hestia's fire burns hot like a volcano. Her pride and fury won't stop until she gets what she wants. It could ultimately be her downfall. Going to Beacon Academy in a few days is the next step. She's ready to go, but if she could just prove to everyone that she's just as good as Tethys before then, she'd prove it to herself as well.
