Chapter 22
He gathered the five that came to Yuuji's hospital room. He lined them up on the ground and waited for them to come too. Fortunately, it didn't take long.
Unfortunately for them, they had to deal with a pissed off Suiryu.
Once they sat up. He forced them to the ground again, suppressing them with jujutsu they tried to struggle to stand, but couldn't. "Shut the hell up," he growled before any of them could utter a word. For good measures, they all got cuts on their faces and over their bodies for the trouble. They froze the moment their flesh stung from the wounds. "Now… why the hell were you in my brother's hospital room?" he demanded. His eyes narrowed as he opened the demon ones for extra intimidation. "Don't you dare play dumb with me either."
They were silent.
None of them spoke until Suiryu figured out why. "Let me take a shot in the dark here… Hmmm, let me think…" he said in a sarcastic tone. "Oh wait, I know. YOU knew all along that my brother had been possessed!"
The five men froze stiff. "It's not what it looks like!" one tried to say.
"Oh? Then tell me…" Suiryu said as he leaned down and stared into the winkled face of the elder. "Then… what DOES it look like?"
There was no answer.
None of them could speak of it, which only confirmed to Suiryu that they knew what they were doing. The body thief was well known to them. They were planning on getting rid of Yuuji this way. He was resisting every urge in his body at this point to rip them all apart!
As his fists clenched and curse energy spiked, the elders knew they pissed him off. That shade of white has become more common on their faces than usual.
Yet, Suiryu settled himself down. He took a deep, calming breath before he glared at the men before him. "Get the hell out of my sight, and if you dare approach him again… I will kill you."
Needless to say, they found their strength and made a run for it.
Suiryu turned back to the hospital room, but found Yuuji already gone and out of the bed! "Bro?" he whispered.
"I moved him,"
Suiryu paused as he turned to face Satoru. "Where?"
"My quarters,"
He was rather surprised to the relocation, but nodded in agreement. "Thanks… those bastards knew he was possessed… they were going to help the thief escape…" the more he spoke of it, the angrier Suiryu became.
Gojo however smirked to him. "I'm surprised you didn't kill them,"
Suiryu glared at Satoru. "It would be a waste of time and effort… besides… you want to take then out ALL at once… not just a mere handful at a time… they are easily replaceable."

Later that morning.
"We have been receiving reports of increase curse activity…"
It was a meeting he didn't quite care for. Suiryu wanted to go back to Yuuji's side. His condition hasn't improved, but it also hasn't gotten worst either. Which he found strange. After the incident with the elders, he thought for certain that Yuuji would have ended up in worst shape. But the fact his condition was rather unchanged except for the nosebleed and coughing up blood. But those symptoms were gone the moment reverse jujutsu was used on him.
"Suiryu?"
He snapped out of it. "Huh?"
"I know you are worried about Itadori, but this is serious. It appears we have a wave of curses heading into our direction… any reason to this considering we got a barrier up?"
He stretched himself out in the chair. "Considering brother is slowly leaking curse energy is going to be an instant attraction to other curses, specially those on the brink of special ranked or beyond. More than likely, they are here to feed off of that energy."
The room went silent.
"So…" Nobara asked.
"We faced down 500,000 finger bearer curses, I think we can handle this." Suiryu said rather proudly. "If anything, I'll make this gym class"
"Goddamn…" muttered Yaga.

True to the report. In a matter of three days, the curses began to converge on to the school. Suiryu had separated everyone into groups or solo missions. Fushiguro took the East, Nobara took West, North he had Mika and Panda. South was Inumaki.
The curses themselves weren't too much trouble. Suiryu, however wasn't thrilled to learn his theory was right about them coming here. They are all aiming for Yuuji, wanting to lap up what power he has leeching out of his body. But there was something strange too about the attacks. Despite the chance for an easy meal, the method, amount and power level of them… didn't quite fit in his mind.
They just finished off the latest wave to come. "Suiryu?"
He turned and looked to everyone who was no worst for wear. "You're deep in thought again, everything okay?" Megumi asked.
"These attacks… as much as I want to admit they are part of my theory, something isn't fitting. The power of these creatures it one thing, coming all this way for perhaps a small boost is another… the journey for them is a pointless one unless they are purposely here to try and kill Yuuji"
No one moved, they all appeared confused to the notion. "Kill Yuuji?" asked Mika. "He is already a threat to them, I suppose in a weakened state he would be an easy target…"
"But that isn't it," Suiryu stated. "The curses we are fighting, should and never would cooperate on a scale like this. Too stubborn in their ways and greed for power. If they were all here to feed, why didn't they kill each other before getting here? Why not take out competition?" he asked.
Still, everyone appeared confused to it all. "Still…"
"They are here to kill him, but… why?" Suiryu began to think it over some more. This wasn't fitting at all. He even observed some of these curses when they hit the barrier, almost desperate to get in and attack. But the answer still remains, why? Why are they desperate?
