Hey everybird! What's up!?

So before we get to the next chapter…

Anyone seen what the next Company of Heroes game will be? Because it's going to be set in Italy… Which while that does offer potential… I would have preferred Company of Heroes 3 to be set in the Pacific theater… But it's not what I want anyway… Oh well!

Also, a quick thank you to RIO2Lover100 for the fav and follow!

Anyway, back to the story!

Chapter 3: Going Together

"Well I guess I have to go to this "England" place and find my parents." Tomada finally spoke after getting over the shock of it, getting the feeling back in his legs again and was about to go, but Alex physically stopped him with his wing, blocking his way out.

"Woah buddy…" Alex said. "You think we're going to let you just go alone, across the ocean to a much different land and lifestyle?" Alex questioned.

"Yeah dad, it wasn't too long ago we got back together, no way are we going to let you out of our sight again." Tomada Junior reminded his dad.

"You all want to go with me?" Tomada nearly brought to tears.

"Of course honey, we're all family and close friends here, we're all going together, no matter how far or how long it'll take us to reach there." Sorrel confirmed.

"Lets all get a goodnight's sleep first, we'll leave for Rio first thing in the morning and then we can see about getting a plane or cruise ship to England." Blu suggested as it was getting very late in the day and night would fall pretty soon.

So everyone present in the treatment room of the healer's hollow left to go get some sleep for the night. Tomada of course going back to his hollow he shared with his family as his two older teenagers went to their separate rooms while Tomada and Sorrel went to their's, snuggling up against each other. As Tomada felt his mate's warmth against him, he tried to imagine what it would be like to finally see his parents after so long, would they even recognize him or would he even recognize them in return?

"Something on your mind?" Sorrel asked.

"I was just thinking about my parents…" Tomada answered. "What if… What if our journey ends up being for nothing… If we don't recognize each other… Or if they'll even be happy to see me…"

"We have to try honey, and have hope." Sorrel smiled as she gave the falcon a kiss. "And even if you aren't reunited with your parents, you still have all of us and we aren't going anywhere anytime soon." Sorrel promised.

"Thank you." Tomada finally giving a small smile back. "I think I'll be able to get some sleep tonight."

"Good, because we're going to need it." Sorrel yawned as she closed her eyes, laying her head against Tomada's chest and his beating heart.

Morning came and everyone going on the trip flew to gather by the pit of doom, first of course saying goodbye to their family and friends as they wouldn't be back for a long time. As everyone arrived, Blu of course did a headcount, as the following: Tomada, Sorrel, Tomada Junior, Bobbie, Alex, Lisa, Jewel, Bia, Carla, Tiago, and of course Blu would all be going together to England.

"Okay, lets double check if everyone…" Blu started, holding onto a large leaf with everyone's names written on it, about to go through the list again…

"Dad, we're all here, can we just get going already?" Carla rolled her eyes.

"Right…" Blu tossing away the leaf. "Okay, as Pedro would say Rio or Bust!" Blu announcing the start of the journey as the group took the skies, leaving the area of the Blue macaw tribe as they began the long flight to Rio.

And it was a journey of fun times, as they flew across the Amazon rainforest, out of it eventually to more open plains and even human cities. The group enjoying such times like riding Rheas to Tiago getting his wing stuck in a soda machine. Tomada treasured these moments, thinking of Sorrel telling him that he still had more than enough in his life, even without his parents, although having them back in his life would help complete it.

One night, with the group sleeping in a tree located in a city park, Tomada was enjoying the city activity, seeing families taking late night walks together and as he was doing so, Blu came next to him.

"Can't sleep?" Blu asked.

"I will, just wanted to enjoy this a little more." Tomada replied. "You know Blu, you're a lucky guy compared to me."

"I wouldn't say lucky, but I'm happy, I can't imagine my life any other way and I wouldn't change a single thing." Blu sighed. "Hopefully the same will be true for you buddy." Blu smiled before leaving to cuddle up next to Jewel, before she was wondering about him.

Tomada stayed, enjoying the view for a few more minutes before going back to Sorrel, who was already sound asleep as he laid down next to her to get his rest before he would continue the journey.

Morning came as the group made the last leg of the trip to the coastal city of Rio, the Christ the Redeemer statue being the first thing their eyes fell upon as it was midday. As the group passed by the giant stone statue, they separated, with Blu and Jewel needing to tell Linda and Tulio where they were going while everyone else flew on to a popular spot for the avians of the city…

As they arrived, Alex spoke first.

"I'll go on in and get them, hopefully they know a way to get to England." Alex said as he went into a large white tent, everyone else waiting as Alex did return with a familiar yellow canary and red-crested cardinal.

"Well, well, looks like it isn't just red wing here." Pedro smiled as Bia, Carla, and Tiago came froward.

"Uncles!" The three teens went ahead and hugged the two birds who came out with Alex.

"Look at you three!" Nico commented. "It seems like not too long ago you weren't that much taller than Pedro and I."

"Well, that is to be expected Uncle Nico." Bia chuckled.

"So how's the club doing?" Carla asked.

"Business is booming as always." Pedro reported. "But Alex here says you all need our help right away, where's Blu and hot wing?"

"Right here." Blu's voice announced as everyone looked back to see Blu and Jewel fly on in, having come from Linda and Tulio, having told them of their trip.

"And I have a name Pedro…" Jewel sharply reminded the cardinal.

"So how did Linda respond?" Alex asked his adopted brother.

"Surprisingly, not too bad, she knows we can watch each other's backs and wishes us a safe and happy trip." Blu smiled. "But Tulio… He was super nervous about it, looked like he was going to faint right now and there when we told him."

"Anyway, so what's this about?" Nico asked.

"We're all going to England, across the ocean, to find Tomada's original home and parents." Sorrel revealed.

"And we need to know when we can get there as soon as possible." Blu added.

"You birds are in luck." Pedro smiled. "Someone came to the club telling about one of those human ships leaving later today for some place called "Europe", says it's across the ocean."

"Not the fastest, but it'll be a lot more comfortable and easier than getting abroad a plane." Alex pointed out.

"Alright, guess we're all taking a cruise." Blu agreed. "Do you two know when it leaves?" Blu turning back to Nico and Pedro.

"If you hurry, I think you birds cane just make it." Nico answered.

"Than lets get going." Jewel urged the group.

"Wish we could stay a little…" Carla a little sad she wouldn't get to spend a little time with her favorite uncles.

"There'll be another time young hot wing." Pedro smiled. "We'll still be here when you get back." Pedro reminded the club's number one bird as the two club owners wished the group good luck in their goal as the group flew to the city harbor, where there was indeed a very large and luxurious looking cruise ship about to depart.

"Looks like we got here just in time." Alex smiled as the group flew and landed on the very top of the ship, close by the bridge.

"Next stop England." Blu glad they got here as less than an hour later the group could feel the huge ship start to move, the vessel starting to vibrate as it began to slowly and carefully drift away from the harbor side with the passengers happy that their cross-ocean cruise was on.

"Finally we don't have to do anymore flying for awhile…" Tiago laying down on the steel plating as Lisa chuckled and laid down with him.

"So what should we do now?" Jewel asked.

"For now, maybe we should take a rest, we have a long trip across the Atlantic, might as well relax." Blu agreeing with his son as he also settled down as the cruise ship made its way out of the busy city harbor, towards the ocean, the sun starting to set and turning the sky into an orange color.

With the cruise ship speeding up, the city of Rio became smaller and smaller as Tomada looked back at it, the realization that he was once again leaving South America for an entirely new land sinking in as he felt a wing on his shoulder.

"You know there's still time to turn back and go back home, just say the word and we'll take to the sky." Alex told his friend with a soft voice.

"No, I need to do this, find out if my parents are indeed there and fill the last piece of my life." Tomada sticking to their journey to England. "Hopefully it's not going to be in vain."

"It won't, we'll find them buddy." Alex told the falcon in a confident voice. "Now you should get some rest, it's a long cruise." Alex reminded his friend as he himself went to lay down and get comfortable.

However Tomada stayed where he was for a little bit, watching as the coastal city they left behind grew smaller and smaller, until it was just a tiny dot of light that in just a few minutes was no longer visible too. At this point Tomada knew there was no turning back now, but he was fully committed to seeing this through as he took a deep breath and let it out before going to sleep, everyone else already doing so as he saw his daughter, as well as his son who was all cuddled up with Bia as he smiled seeing his kids like that. Finally he saw Sorrel, who looked like she was waiting patiently for him, but couldn't as she was sound asleep, fixing that problem Tomada laid down next to her, careful to not wake her as he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

And that's a wrap on this chapter!

Hope you enjoyed as we're on the cruise across the Atlantic to England!

Until than…
