Chapter 25
As Yuuji slowly recovered, Suiryu had gotten himself going back to his many jobs. Just recently, he did a band interview for Bloodbore magazine. Yuuji was resting when he saw the magazine near by. He smiled to the cover, as it was Suiryu with his tongue hanging out and baring his unnaturally long fangs; Eso in the background with Tanso, and Junpei peering out from behind Suiryu with a twisted grin on his face.
"I wondered when they would be interviewed as a band…" Yuuji whispered as he flipped through the pages, he soon found their article. The questions were pretty good, but he loved the more personal ones near the end.
The interviewer was just initialed with Inter, everyone else was their initial.
Inter: So, you kept with the name of Ryomen Sukuna. Why is that?
RS: it just sort of clicked with everyone, the rock opera really established us and at the same time… just something about the name really made us pop.
K: I have to agree, I mean the name is just something out of history… and a horror story if you research the bastard.
Inter: He was real?
RS: He was a feudal lord way back. Over a thousand years ago.
Eso: He was, and now he is in tales of myths and legends. I've been reading up on it too.
K: Either way, we all liked the name. The fans love it so we stuck with it.
Inter: Okay then… so, let's get to the nitty gritty of this. Let's ask some of the personal questions
RS: Oh God, here we go (smiles wickedly)
Inter: Who has the creepiest laugh?
(Eso and Tanso point to Ryomen. Ryomen points to Kechizu, but notices the other two pointing at him.)
RS: Fuck you guys!
(Room laughs.)
RS: Seriously? I have the creepiest laugh? I wouldn't call it creepy, more like it's demonic or even malicious… but not creepy.
Inter: Okay, let's hear you laugh!
RS: Make me
(There was an awkward silence.)
RS: Seriously! You want to hear me laugh, make me laugh, let's see what you got!
(There came a very creepy laugh in the room, everyone peered over as Kechizu was snickering… but it sounded very strange.)
Inter: That was you?!
K: (laughing uncontrollably now)
RS (starts laughing, but it's quite evil!)
Inter: Wow, I got to go with Ryomen on this one. I don't even know how to describe that laugh!
RS: (Towards Eso and Tanso) Told you
Inter: Moving on, okay, who is the best listener out of you four?
(Everyone points to Tanso.)
RS: He may not talk, but he listens well and will hear everything you have to say.
Eso: I agree, older brother is very good on that. He will write down words of advice after if you need an opinion on something.
K: Big time, I've turned to him many times over just to have someone to speak with.
(Tanso gave the thumbs up.)
Inter: Okay, who is the most spontaneous out of you?
(Everyone points to Ryomen.)
RS: Yeah, no argument here.
Eso: A close second is Kechizu
Inter: Really?
K: I have my moments… not as bad as Ryomen though!
Yuuji snickered as they went on with the interview, they even did cover spreads of the band. Eso and Tanso were all highlighted on their own page. Yet who really stood out was Junpei. His page was him with a crazed look on his face, his hair brushed back yet he appeared to be screaming at the camera, and the mouths on the side of his body were wide open screaming along with him by the looks of it.
He looked so different than what Yuuji was use to seeing from his friend. Especially when he learned he could take the blood he has and add it to his own body, buffing him out a little more.
When he's in the band, he holds nearly four times the amount of blood a human body can hold, yet it adds to his body making him thin yet very strong in appearance. One doesn't really recognize him unless they knew him well.
Suiryu… was typical with his, he really does channel his more… evil side when he wants to, but at the same time, there's a wicked charm to it as well. "I'm just glad everyone is happy." Yuuji said with a smile.
He tucked the magazine away before he decided to peer himself over. He didn't tell anyone else but he noticed the cracks in his body too. He's also just as concerned as they started to heal as well. "It all feels so different now…" he whispered to himself. "I know what curse energy and divine energy feel like, but at the same time… this is neither one of them… what is happening to me?" Yuuji whispered.
At the same time, he no longer sensed Ryujin in him. When he was out cold, he has heard the others speak of him, but, doesn't quite know what it was all about to begin with.
As he slowly recovered, Itadori began to think about what to do next. If something happens to Ryujin, then he has to better prepare himself. "I know he said I won't be possessed again, but how do we know for sure?" he asked himself.
"Hey Itadori!"
Peering to the door, he smiled as Gojo sensei walked in with his arms full of take out food. "Thought you might be hungry"
His stomach roared!
"Good call, thank you sensei," The food was laid out on the bed, Itadori helped himself to a little bit of everything before devouring it all. Then he went back for more… and more… He nearly cleared the bed before Gojo took his share!
He froze to his actions. "I'm so sorry!"
But his teacher smirked. "I was worried you lost your appetite, you were eating little bits here and there but nothing like this. I don't mind the least bit," he laughed. "Itadori… how are you feeling?"
Yuuji was silent. "I know something happened to me… and it's changing me again… I just can't figure out what it is. I should not have healed from that wound, let alone stop it from spreading." He explained. He turned to Gojo sensei, a sense of dread was filling him once more. "Sensei… what is happening to me?"
Gojo was silent at first, Itadori was looking away until he turned to his teacher once more. His blindfold was off and was looking right at Yuuji. He said nothing, but started at him rather gently, looking him over before he let out a sigh. "I don't know." He said. "I can't see anything at the moment,"
Yuuji froze. "Can't see it?" he whispered. "But sensei…"
"It's not curse energy," he explained. "If it's curse energy, yeah. I can see it, but whatever this is… it's not."
Itadori sighed aloud.
"I just wonder why this always happens to me? Don't get me wrong, I am glad we took out that body thief… so many were suffering because of him. And yet, at the same time…" he shook his head to it all.
Gojo smirked but nodded in agreement. "You've been through hell, Itadori. No doubt about it. You been through and lived in a hellish situation… and it hasn't gotten much better for you. We are going to make things better… I promise"
He was a little taken aback by his teacher's words. He meant every word!
